Jackson Wang Plots a World Tour for ‘Magic Man’: ‘Finally’

Jackson Wang is getting ready to hit the road. On Wednesday (Sept. 28), the GOT7 member announced his plans for a world tour in support of his recently released album, Magic Man .

Wang revealed the details of his 2022-2023 trek via his social media accounts, excitedly writing, “Finally. The 1st time in my life I get to properly tour now. After all this … MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR 2022-2023 #MAGICMAN is coming. See u there. I promise it’s different.”

In 2023, the 28-year-old will take his tour to London on Jan. 12, and to Paris three days later on Jan. 15. Dubai is also getting a visit, with Wang performing on Feb. 4. The tour poster, which features the singer in a leather jacket, states “and more,” hinting at possible tour dates to come.

Wang released Magic Man , his second solo studio album, on Sept. 9; it debuted at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The set charted even higher on Billboard ‘s Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts at No. 3.

Speaking with People , Wang explained that Magic Man is “way more extreme than all the stuff that I’ve released in the past. And I think it’s because on this album, I’m in my most raw form that I’ve ever been in my career as a solo artist, just not caring about whoever I was and whatever I had before. And [I] just want to go for being completely me and with no filter.”

Critical reception [ ]

Dyne Hong praised, "a tour de force of entertainment," complimenting the visuals and stage designs, which made it "unforgettable." Hong added, "the expertly-crafted stage, high-energy crowd, stunning special effects, and multiple encores made for a truly theatrical experience." [4] In a review for San Francisco Chronicle , Todd Inoue detailed, "he took the audience through an emotional 2½-hour journey split into four acts: Fame, Isolation, Redemption and Acceptance. Each segment was broken up by video vignettes, signaling a momentum shift." Inoue continued, "After 25 songs, the concert was Wang's epiphanic statement on the price of fame and the value of personal power. More impressive than his physical feats was his mindset—he was less of a magician and more of a motivator, imploring his fans to manifest the magic inside them." [5] Writing for Atlas Artist Group, Olivia Khiel similarly called it "unforgettable," summarizing, "The first half of his extensive set let us into his emotional, vulnerable side while also getting the audience up to dance along." Of the final half, they said, "When Wang next emerged, the energy shift from restrained to aggressive was palpable. […] He's not afraid to explore his seductive side, a fact that everyone in attendance was more than happy to witness." [6]

Rumores de negociações para a passagem da turnê mundial de Jackson Wang , MAGIC MAN , pelo Brasil circulavam há alguns meses, mas agora é real! Na última sexta-feira (27), a plataforma de ingressos LivePass , a produtora de eventos Move Concerts e a casa de shows Espaço Unimed confirmaram o primeiro concerto de Jackson em solo brasileiro e revelaram detalhes. Agora, resta aos fãs aguardarem pela tão esperada venda de ingressos para terem a chance de ver o solista pessoalmente.

Em um ano com diversos anúncios de shows internacionais, o Brasil voltou a ser um dos locais indispensáveis em turnês mundiais, e com os nomes do K-Pop não foi diferente. Os brasileiros tiveram a oportunidade de ver NCT 127 de perto, com os três concertos em São Paulo, e poderão presenciar Super Junior e ONEUS em fevereiro, além de preparações para festivais . O cantor, artista e produtor Jackson Wang , do GOT7 virá para o Brasil pela primeira vez em sua tour Magic Man! A Team Wang , anunciou hoje (27), por meio das redes sociais, que o cantor fará uma apresentação única no país, no dia 15 de maio, no Espaço Unimed, em São Paulo.

Os ingressos estarão disponíveis a partir de 06 de fevereiro, às 10h, com pré-venda para clientes do Cartão de Crédito Porto Seguro Bank, e vai até dia 08 de fevereiro, dia que abrirá vendas para o público em geral, que poderá adquirir seu ticket a partir das 10h. Wang Jia-Er, nasceu em 28 de março de 1994, em Hong Kong. Ele é mais conhecido pelo seu nome artístico Jackson Wang.

Jackson é um ex-atleta e esgrimista, também rapper, cantor, dançarino, CEO, produtor, modelo e apresentador de televisão. Ele ficou conhecido depois de debutar como rapper no grupo de k-pop GOT7 , em 2014.

Em 2017, o artista criou sua própria empresa na China intitulada “ Team Wang “, por onde atua como solista. No mesmo ano, o cantor lançou a sua primeira música solo, “Papillon” . Desde então, o artista vêm lançando diversas canções solo, com a mais recente “ Cruel ”.

Com o sucesso consolidado, o cantor foi convidado para se apresentar no palco do Coachella em abril de 2022. Fazendo história como o primeiro artista chinês solo a se apresentar no palco principal do festival como parte do set coletivo ‘Head In The Clouds Forever’ do 88rising.

Após o grande sucesso, Jackson retornará pelo segundo ano consecutivo para se apresentar no Coachella em 16 e 23 de abril.

Em 2022, Jackson encabeçou a Cerimônia de Abertura do Campeonato Mundial de League Of Legends com a apresentação de seu último single, “Fire to the Fuse” , uma faixa escrita e produzida para a Riot Games Music e tema do novo “League of Legends” Empyrean Skin Line ao lado de Lil Nas X. Jackson iniciou a “ MAGIC MAN World Tour” com shows esgotados em Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapura, Londres e Paris para comemorar o lançamento de seu segundo álbum MAGIC MAN , que teve como aquecimento o lançamento dos singles “ Blue,” “ Cruel” e “ Blow. ” Ele então expandiu a turnê para a América do Norte, México e agora América do Sul.

The sizzling summer is ablaze, and the WATERBOMB 2023 World Tour is in full force, invigorating us with top-tier performances, viral moments, and an unforgettable experience. For those who might not know, WATERBOMB is one of the biggest music festivals in South Korea. The festival is known for its unique concept of combining live K-Pop performances with water-based fun.

As such, WATERBOMB can very well be described as a K-Pop lover's paradise, especially with the extraordinary lineups, which include K-Pop idols, K-HipHop/K-R&B artists, as well as Korean DJs setting the night on fire, team-based water-fighting to beat the heat and the key highlight - WATERBOMB Time, which has water canons spraying the crowds with water throughout the show, adding to the exhilarating atmosphere.

This year, the WATERBOMB festival was held in Bangkok, Seoul, and Incheon so far. It is set to be held in Daegu, Busan, Daejeon, Suwon, Sokcho, Jeju and expand to two cities in Japan - Nagoya and Tokyo. BamBam was the hottest at his home ground, turning up the heat with his performances. Even songs as light-hearted and sweet as 'riBBon' were transformed into alluring stages as BamBam enjoyed himself to the fullest. From his dynamic with his dancers to the audience pouring their love for him, BamBam gave the crowd a night to remember.

2. BIBI at WATERBOMB INCHEON 2023

Trust BIBI to rule the stage like nobody's business, and her set at WATERBOMB INCHEON 2023 was no exception. Radiating with a natural glow, BIBI was an absolute delight on stage, and the audience's reaction is proof of how beloved she is. Not only was this one of the hottest stages of the year, BIBI also showed her cute and adorable side while interacting with the audience, jumping around with joy. We just can't get enough of her.

Jackson Wang Announces 'Magic Man' World Tour 2023 North American Dates

Presale begins on Wednesday, January 18th and tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, January 20th.

Singer, performer, and producer Jackson Wang announces his first-ever North American tour dates as a solo act for his MAGIC MAN World Tour.

The limited six-city tour will make stops in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and more. See below for a full list of tour dates. Jackson kicked off his MAGIC MAN World Tour with sold out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London and Paris to celebrate the release of his sophomore album MAGIC MAN (TEAM WANG records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP) featuring previously released singles "Blue," "Cruel" and "Blow."

The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Associated Press, NPR, Vulture, The Daily Beast, Consequence, UPROXX, and more. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's "Top Current Sales" & "Top Album Sales" the week of release and at No. 15 on Billboard 200 marking Jackson's highest charting album.

Jackson Wang is a Chinese singer, record producer, creative director, and founder of TEAM WANG. Jackson was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team-He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. And throughout Jackson's sports career, he won first place at three Asian competitions, three national competitions, and nine international and Hong Kong competitions.

In 2014, Jackson debuted as a member of JYP entertainment's K-pop group GOT7 in Korea. In 2017, Jackson Wang founded TEAM WANG. In 2021, Jackson Wang left JYP entertainment and came back to TEAM WANG in China, and started releasing his solo music. In the same year, Jackson Wang announced PANTHEPACK, a 4-member Chinese music group consisting of Jackson Wang, Karencici, ICE, and J.Sheon, under TEAM WANG.

Singer Jackson Wang groped by fan onstage during Brazil concert

SAO PAULO – Singer Jackson Wang, currently on his Magic Man world tour, is known to invite fans on stage. But one of them may have taken things too far.

An overly enthusiastic woman was captured on video with her hands all over the Hong Kong-born star, a member of K-pop boy band Got7, during his show in Sao Paulo on Monday.

While he was performing his song I Love You 3000 II seated next to her, she continued groping and hugging him and, at one point, moved her hand up his inner thigh.

Wang, 29, laughed it off and managed to divert her attention by swinging her legs over his instead.

At previous stops on his world tour – which kicked off in Bangkok in November 2022 and took in cities such as Singapore, London, Paris, San Francisco and Vancouver – he had invited, without incident, lucky fans on stage to be serenaded by him.

The Brazilian fan’s antics, which were shared initially on YouTube and then spread on Twitter, sparked outrage over the perceived harassment of her idol and lack of boundaries.

A handful of fans applauded the bold moves, with one commenter saying: “I wouldn’t even dare to look him in the eyes, but look at this.”

Others condemned her actions, with one writing: “The way he literally just got assaulted by some random a** lady and people are giggling and finding it hot.”

One netizen tweeted: “You can be excited but everyone has boundaries and there’s a limit to how far you take interactions. This isn’t okay at all. Have some common sense.”
