Cycling team kits 2024

With the New Year upon us, we're getting a clear picture of the sea of colour that will make up the pro pelotons in 2024.

Most teams have now unveiled their kits for the upcoming season, with some sticking to their 2023 designs but a fair few mixing things up with new designs.

Ineos Grenadiers ’ new kit , which is very similar to their old kit but made by a new supplier, was leaked online by their own rider , Egan Bernal, although most PR launch campaigns have gone off without a hitch – the most eye-catching being Julian Alaphilippe’s Celine Dion rendition for Soudal Quick-Step ’s get-up.

The Quick-Step kit is even less of a departure than Ineos’, with SD Worx and UAE Team Emirates among the other big teams to keep their tweaks to a minimum. As for the bigger changes, Bahrain Victorious have gone white, Jayco AlUla have had a complete redesign and Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale have ditched the infamous brown shorts.

As for those still to land, we are still waiting on the full reveal for the new dsm-firmenich PostNL number, which looks set to be white, blue and orange.

In this piece, we’ve gathered all the kits across the men’s and women’s WorldTours, all in one place, and we’ll keep it updated whenever a new one drops.

AG Insurance-Soudal

There's no significant change here, although we do apparently have "more playful" lines between the blue and white, and flowers "in motion" on the sleeves and sides.

Alpecin-Deceuninck

No new kit has broken cover so far for the Belgian team of the world champion Mathieu van der Poel .

Arkéa-B&B Hotels

The French team caught the most attention with their new kit thanks to a slightly strange Excalibur launch, complete with Arnaud Démare brandishing a sword. This jersey, which welcomes a new sponsor in B&B Hotels, is similar to 2023 but does contain some striking Excalibur-themed collage panelling.

Astana Qazaqstan

Astana's new kit is an evolution of their Tour de France special edition from 2023. The Pringle patterning is gone, replaced with a more contained section of that so-called "veins of mineral stones" design from last year's Tour.

Bahrain Victorious

Bahrain Victorious have played around with white jerseys at the Tour de France in the past, and they liked it so much they've made it their main kit. The old kit was red, black, and orange, so this presents a fresher, less obviously fossil-fuelled look.

Bora-Hansgrohe

Primož Roglič's new team are back with Sportful after a two-year hiatus and while they're sticking with their deep green base, they've added sections of pale green, which seems to have divided opinion so far.

Canyon-SRAM

The women's team have produced some of the most striking kits in the sport in recent years, and for 2024, they have not strayed from this trend. After using their previous design for two successive seasons, Canyon-SRAM have decided to shake things up ahead of the new campaign, with their new strip unveiled just ahead of the women's Santos Tour Down Under.

Remaining with their tried-and-tested colours of blue, pink and purple - amongst others - Canyon-SRAM's new livery does away with some of the motifs that scattered the old design, and instead focuses on the 'harmonic riffs' of races.

Essentially, geometric patterns now dominate the jersey both front and back, designed to reflect the sounds of the peloton as it races along. We think this will remain one of the most popular kits in the world.

Ceratizit-WNT

The team haven't fully revealed their kit yet, releasing only a shot from the back and a blurred-out front-on shot, but it looks pretty similar to the blue and red design of 2023.

With Decathlon going all-in with the AG2R team, fellow French WorldTour squads are switching away from Van Rysel and forming a new partnership with Mobel Sport, although there's not much at all new about this 2024 design.

Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale

Decathlon's in-house brand Van Rysel is now with AG2R as part of the new sponsorship, and while they've retained the diagonal logo-ing, there's a new white and blue colour scheme. However, what caused the most outcry was the death of the brown shorts, long-derided but already strangely missed.

dsm-firmenich PostNL

The new dsm-firmenich PostNL jersey has proved one of the most divisive of the new campaign, with the Dutch squad making a total revamp of their look with the addition of PostNL as co-title sponsor.

Gone is the dark blue and black design, and in comes an eye-catching white, blue and orange attire that looks set to make the team stand out from the pack this season. Orange is, of course, the colour of PostNL, whilst the white base is complemented by light blue up top.

The bib shorts will be navy for the team and the old dsm logo is gone from the front of the jersey, to the delight of most. Whether you love it or hate it, you can't deny there is a real sense of fun in this new strip for 2024.

EF Pro Cycling

EF Pro Cycling unveiled their new pink and yellow jersey on 4 January with a host of colourful pictures taken at their recent winter training camp. The get-together was the biggest in the team's history, owing to the addition of EF Education-Cannondale women's team to the EF Education-EasyPost men's side.

The team's new jersey remains primarily pink, but is adorned with bright yellow graphics which are in ode to the team's life on the road, as well as their European base in Girona, Spain.

Fenix-Deceuninck

We're yet to see anything new from the team that's run by the same people as the men's Alpecin-Deceuninck outfit.

There are subtle but striking changes for FDJ-SUEZ's fresh look for 2024. Their jersey remains predominantly blue with red sprawling the left-hand shoulder and the bottom of the jersey fading to the black of the bib shorts.

FDJ-SUEZ unveiled their new kit on 1 January

However, a series of navy diagonals break up the lighter blue that the team is known for, rather than adopting more of a simple fade design that the team used in 2023. This makes for a much more impressive kit, in our opinion. French bank card network Cartes Bancaires will also be pleased, as their sponsorship extends from the jersey's shoulders to also featuring on the front of the top.

Groupama-FDJ

Like the women's FDJ team – although the two are not co-owned – the men's team had one of the most popular kits in 2023, trading white for a dark blue, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see them stick in 2024.

Human Powered Health

Human Powered Health have released a kit for 2024 that they are calling a "new refreshed look", but to our mind, it looks pretty much the same as it did in 2023. Orange forms the base colour of the jersey, with hues of red and purple forming gradient splodges across the design. It leans darker than the 2023 version, but all in all the American squad are sticking to a familiar visual identity.

Ineos Grenadiers

This one was leaked by Egan Bernal on Instagram, which perhaps made it seem a little uninspiring when the announcement did come. There's a change of supplier – GOBIK in for Bioracer – and there's more orange and more fade, but the overall look feels similar to 2023.

Intermarché-Wanty

The Belgian team wore three different jerseys in 2023, with special editions for the Giro and Tour – but they have settled on a brand-new design for 2024. After their main effort for 2023 had the look of a white jersey that had innocuously been damaged by knocked-over paint cans, the team have opted for a far more geometric design for the new campaign.

Well-known social media user and graphic designer Stycle Design has been drafted in by Intermarché-Wanty once again to design the jersey, whilst the team has agreed a new partnership with Belgian company Verge Sport to manufacture the kit.

White, fluorescent yellow and dark blue remain the team's core colours, with the right-hand side of the jersey predominantly yellow and dark blue patches colouring the white left-hand side.

As is the norm with this WorldTeam, multiple sponsors adorn the jersey, and it is Fantini who has been offered a far more prominent role in 2024, taking centre stage on the lower half of the top.

Liv AlUla Jayco

Liv Racing TeqFind and Jayco AlUla have merged over the winter, bringing an end to the former's spell as a WorldTeam, and bolstering the ranks available to Jayco AlUla. As we discussed in our Team Talk analysis , both squads struggled in 2023 and uniting forces should not only improve Jayco AlUla's WorldTeam, but has also allowed GreenEDGE Cycling to launch a new women's development side in the sport's lower tier.

Read more: Jayco AlUla Team Talk: Women’s teams combining forces to start anew

Both women's teams will be named Liv AlULA Jayco and with a new name comes a fresh kit - which is a drastic change from their 2023 effort. Gone is the white and blue design and emboldened remains Liv's trademark purple/aubergine.

The front of the jersey sees the bottom half in an orange shade to depict the sands of the Australian outback, which changes to purple for the Liv logo and fades to white at the very top of the jersey. The sleeves, meanwhile, are a dark navy, as are the sides of the jersey and accompanying bib shorts.

Liv and AlUla take prominence as the main title sponsors, whilst Jayco settles for a smaller slot above the right collarbone. Low-quality graphics had leaked of the jersey in the weeks ahead of its release, but the general consensus amongst the public is that this is a jersey that certainly looks better in person.

Jayco AlUla

The new kit for the men's Jayco AlUla outfit, who are of course a UCI WorldTeam in their own right, was unveiled alongside that of the women's on 1 January. It sees the men wear a kit with the same design as the women's teams, only with the aubergine of Liv Cycling swapped out for the light blue of Jayco - as was seen on the team's 2023 kit.

One other notable difference between the sides is that the men will ride on Giant Bikes, as opposed to the Liv bikes that the women's teams will use. Liv is indeed a conglomerate company of Giant Bikes .

Lidl only joined as a title sponsor mid-way through the year, so it's no surprise the new kit that was cooked up then will be back for a full season of racing. Whereas they'd previously worn separate kits, the men's and women's teams are now wearing the same.

There's no big change for the Spanish team, who are sticking with a blue jersey with the big M. It does come with a little more excitement, though, with some artistic patterning as it fades towards the shorts.

Roland have parted ways with Israel-Premier Tech for 2024 and with that, the old blue-and-white design is put to rest. Instead, Roland returns to a base colour of ruby red, which the team used in the years before Israel-Premier Tech's involvement. Simple but arguably stylish, the new Roland kit also confirms the involvement of Pinarello as the team's bike manufacturer.

Revealed to much fanfare, amid strobe lighting and a full-hearted Celine Dion lip-sync from a two-time world champ, the Soudal Quick-Step kit, also designed by Stycle Design, is very much business as usual.

Visma-Lease a Bike

The Dutch team are changing names and sponsors, but not colours, sticking to the yellow and black scheme as they try and establish it as something of a team brand identity. However, it's definitely a brighter shade of yellow than previously, complete with honeycomb patterning that's part of that 'killer bee' branding. It's the same kit for the men's and women's teams.

UAE Team Emirates

The main change here is the removal of black from the jersey, the running joke being Tadej Pogačar wanting to go fully white now he's too old for the white jersey classification at the Tour de France. There's also a new design element with red, green, and black stripes at the base of the jersey.

The new 2023 men’s WorldTour jerseys are starting to be unveiled with some new designs and some copy paste efforts from 2022. For the first time in a while (maybe the first time properly), we’ve had some promotion and relegation from the men’s WorldTour. As such the likes of Israel-Premier Tech who have released their jersey, can’t be found on this page. However, the likes of Alpecin-Deceuninck and Team Arkéa-Samsic will be able to be seen here once they have released their new designs.

Table of Contents

As the WorldTour teams release their kits, I shall keep this page updated to include all of them. Traditionally EF Education-EasyPost is the last to announce theirs, with the hype and secrecy that goes with that final position as a result. Last year they kept it very under wraps until they accidentally leaked it just a day before the proper announcement.

The Good, the Bad, and the Downright Heartbreaking: Breaking Down 2024’s Pro Cycling Kits

Some WorldTour teams made some small tweaks to their kits. Others burned it all down.

24th santos tour down under 2024 stage 2

It’s quiet season in cycling, which means even the slightest hints that bike racing is coming soon are welcome distractions. And one of the best parts of the quiet season is the deluge of kit reveals, with teams unveiling the new (in some cases) designs they’ll be sporting this season.

This year features a ton of “if it ain’t broke” mentality, with many of the teams offering tiny tweaks to their new kits. Of course, there are a few who’ve decided, for one reason or another, to burn it all down and start from scratch, for better or worse.

And finally, there’s one team who abandoned what I thought was one of the best kits ever in favor of something more… benign. So let’s start there, get it over with, rip off the Band Aid. Because AG2R…

You Broke My Heart

Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale

24th santos tour down under 2024 stage 2

A Whole New Look

Bahrain-Victorious

Speaking of 90s throwbacks, if the new Bahrain-Victorious kits remind me of anything, it’s of that classic 90s paper cup design. You know the one . It’s a far cry from their bright red-and-yellow mashup of recent years past, a kit whose coherence was completely thrown off by their team-issued light blue socks. Those never made sense. The best and most moving element of this kit is the small hashtag on each rider’s chest, #rideforGino, a fitting honor to their teammate Gino Mäder , who was killed in a crash last year.

DSM-Firmenich PostNL

Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL added a lot of brightness to their formerly subdued kits. What was a mixture of dark and light blues now features pops of orange and white. But the best part about this kit is how it looks like a tech startup.

It’s All About the Reveal

Soudal Quick-Step/AG Insurance Soudal

The best part about this kit was its unveiling . Thanks, Julian. Otherwise, it’s a bit of a modern spin on those classic designs of those classic eras. Bold sponsor name, basic colors. Add a few fades and you have a new kit for a new age. The women’s side is much of the same , just swap out the names. Neither is offensively bad though neither will stick out in the peloton.

Arkéa-B&B Hotels

A red jersey with white letters on black bibs. That’s it. That’s the whole kit. It’s not bad. And the bright red will certainly pop in the peloton. Much like Soudal Quick-Step, it’s kind of all downhill from the reveal (which in this case, featured, for some reason, a giant sword ?).

24th santos tour down under 2024 stage 2

A New Kind of Blockhaus

Bora-Hansgrohe

Blocks are back. At least according to Bora-Hansgrohe they are. Their new jersey , which slams a bunch of blocks of color together, walks a fine line between just right and just too loud. But the choice to pair this look with a dark green bib is just chef’s kiss .

Trek-Segafredo had one of the most classic kits in recent memory. Their iconic red-on-white-on-blue hearkened back to the ear of Merckx and De Vlaeminck, of Molteni and Cinzano. The new Lidl-Trek kit —which is virtually the same as last year’s—boasts giant blocks of primary colors, going deep into Piet Mondrian territory and giving something of a nod to one of the most beloved cycling jerseys of all time: La Vie Claire.

Intermarché-Wanty

After dabbling in a design that could best be described as splattery last year, Intermarché-Wanty is going back to what worked for them in the past . That is heavy on the geometric design, heavy on the bright, neon yellow sleeve. Like Bora-Hansgrohe and Lidl-Trek, they’re making blocks work.

24th santos tour down under 2024 stage 2

Ride The Fader

Ineos Grenadiers

Orange is the new black, apparently. Whereas last year’s kit boasted big blots of red, dark blue, and hexagonal red-orange-black pattern, 2024’s kit leans into the fade. I do love the different colored arms.

Jayco-AlUla/Liv AlUla Jayco

Much like DSM-Firmenich PostNL, Jayco-AlUla decided to embrace more color in their new 2024 kits . What was exclusively blue and white now features large swaths of red (a nod to Australia’s desert), a lighter blue (which calls out Australia’s ties to the ocean), and an even darker blue (which honors AlUla’s night sky). On the women’s side, the red-blue is swapped out for a dynamite purple-to-red fade down the whole of the torso.

Keep It Simple

Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling Team

This kit looks like a national kit for a nation that doesn’t exist . That’s not a bad thing. National kits, with their bold colors and little else, are often iconic. And Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling Team’s dark blue bodies with bold red sleeves offer that kind of look. Now all the team—which is new to the WorldTour this season—has to do is figure out how to get the results to match.

Roland Cycling Team

FKA Israel Premier Tech, Roland Cycling Team is in a similar boat as Ceratizit. That is, their new red-jersey-on-blue-bibs mashup could very well be a national team kit. Not many chances were taken on the design but it’ll certainly pop when mashed in the center of the peloton.

The More Things Change...

…the more they stay the same, I guess. Other than a change in the color of their collar (from white to red), Cofidis’s kits are exactly the same as last year. Maybe that taste of victory they had in last year’s Tour de France, their first in a decade and a half, led them to stick with what works.

24th santos tour down under stage 2

Visma-Lease a Bike

Jumbo-Visma’s men won the Giro, the Tour, and the Vuelta last year. So you can’t blame them for not wanting to change a thing. Outside of the new name on the front, the Killer Bees will boast the same look they have been during their uber-successful last few years.

Groupama-FDJ/FDJ-Suez

The strangest thing about Groupama’s kit is that we won’t see Thibault Pinot wearing one in 2024. Alas, this year’s kit is basically the same as last year’s; a blend of France’s national colors but, like their famed national soccer squad, building everything off of the country’s dark blue. It’s classy, classic, and understated. It’s quite French.

The FDJ-Suez women’s kit is a bit more radical , with a splash of bright red across one shoulder and a dark-blue-light-blue blend on the other. Still, very, very French.

EF Pro Cycling

The EF teams have come dangerously close to going completely off the rails over the years. And I mean that in a good way. But this year’s kit is much more subtle and refined, dare I say more reined in than EF’s cartoonish kits of years past.

Movistar Team

I’m not sure this team has changed their kit since becoming Movistar Team in 2011. This year is no different .

Astana Qazaqstan

Like Movistar, Astana Qazaqstan didn’t fiddle much to land on their new kits . The same light blue top on dark blue bibs. At least, according to their reveal, they’re sticking with their iconic light blue helmets.

team sd worx protime 2024 training camp

Team SD Worx

Much like Jumbo-Lease a Bike, SD Worx has a formula that seems to be working. And when a formula workx (I’m sorry), you don’t mess with it. Very little has changed from last year’s kit. If anything, what was more a focus on a blended pattern has become blockier and more pronounced . Still, it’ll be hard to notice a difference between the kits from last year and this. SD Worx is hoping the results will be much the same.

UAE Team Emirates/UAE Team ADQ

For the men, it’s more of the same . White on top of black, some hints of red. The kit that has, thanks in large part to Tadej Pogačar, become iconic, will remain almost entirely the same for the foreseeable future. The UAE women, on the other hand, get bright splashes of color that feature light blues, pinks, fuchsias, and yellows. Less bold, you could say, but far more eye catching.

Human Powered Health

Like a lot of squads this season, Human Powered Health didn’t tinker much with a design that worked for them. In their case, a pink-purple-fuchsia-orange fade design does the tricl. According to their reveal , these kits are new for 2024 but I honestly can’t figure out how. Still, with the bold white logos against the color fade design, this is a great-looking kit.

A new season means new kit for pro cycling teams.

Whether it’s riders changing squads or simply teams updating last year’s threads, January 1st is the time when the annual period of adjustment begins.

We get used to certain riders and certain teams in certain colors, meaning that the first races of each year can bring confusion over who is who in the bunch.

Think back to previous seasons when an overabundance of certain colors and styles led to chaos amongst the commentators, particularly for overhead shots. Which riders are from Ineos? Which are from Bahrain Victorious? And which are from Arkea Samsic?

Check out the jerseys of the men’s WorldTeams below, with the exception of those team threads still AWOL after a hectic festive season.

Arkea-B&B Hotels

A really creative kit reveal here from the French squad, leaning heavily into Arthurian legend. Did you know that Merlin the Magician was a dab hand with a sewing kit?

Tales of King Arthur were introduced to the Brittany region in France during the 5th century by the Celts who had been driven out of Cornwall by the Anglo-Saxons.

Bahrain-Victorious

Likely influenced by the Tour de France campaign which landed it three stage wins, the Bahrain-Victorious squad is sticking with the white kit it used for that event. If it ain’t broke…

The team kit continues to bear the phrase #RideForGino, remembering the loss of rider Gino Mader in last year’s Tour de Suisse.

Bora-Hansgrohe

After eight seasons within the Jumbo-Visma setup, it will take a bit of time to get used to Primož Roglič in his new colors. Still, he’s hoping not to be wearing this jersey throughout the Tour de France, with a certain big target in mind.

New teammate Jai Hindley is also adjusting to a different look.

Jai Hindley in the Bora-Hansgrohe 2024 jersey

Aside from a white collar turning red, there doesn’t seem too much different about the 2024 Cofidis jersey. The team wants to make all the reinvention in the results sheets rather than on the catwalk.

EF Education-EasyPost

It’s more of the same from EF Education-EasyPost in 2024, with last year’s kit being refined—and arguably improved—by the addition of a subtle yellow pattern. The new jersey is viewable below, along with the national champions’ kits of Ben Healy, Richard Carapaz and Allison Jackson.

Groupama-FDJ

The team kit may not look much different, but some great camerawork went into the unveiling of the 2024 garb. If the racing is as good as the drone piloting the team is going to have a great year.

Ineos Grenadiers

No more harlequin diamonds for the British squad. Instead an orange-red-black color fade and simplified jersey pattern defines the 2024 Ineos Grenadiers jersey. Will new team management be as seamless?

Seeing Tao Geoghegan Hart in the guise of Lidl-Trek is another sight that will take a bit of adjusting to. He’s hoping the fresh start after many years with Ineos Grenadiers will make for a big, big season in 2024.

More yellow = more yellow? That’s what Jonas Vingegaard and his team are counting on. Although the similarity of the new kit to the Maillot Jaune may well force a redesign for the Tour.

UAE Team Emirates

Like Visma-Lease a Bike, UAE Team Emirates is ditching the black to go big on one color. In this case it’s white, in the year when team star Tadej Pogačar can no longer aim for the white jersey in the Tour de France. No more best young rider prize; he wants the big one again.

WorldTour Team Kits 2023: Who’s got it right?

Some teams have gone bold, some boring, some haven’t even bothered to change at all. Here are the 2023 WorldTour team kits announced so far…

Words: Rachel Jary

As road racing hits its usual pause for the winter months and our Twitter feeds have gone quiet with racing drama and updates, you can always rely on new WorldTour team kits to stir the pot a little. It might be because a team has made literally no effort at all to upgrade their kit, or because others have had a design refresh that puts them in contention for the most fashionable squad in the WorldTour, but either way, it adds some excitement to these drab winter months.

So far, we’ve seen the notoriously stylish Trek-Segafredo give both their men’s and women’s team kits a snazzy upgrade – nothing too crazy, they’re following the same colour palette – but there are a few details thrown in there that makes this kit a little sharper for 2023. The team of Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar, UAE Team Emirates, has simplified its 2023 outfit to have a completely white and black base colour, while Bahrain-Victorious has kept things pretty similar too for 2023, just adding a few, subtle details to spice things up.

Perhaps the biggest kit revamp so far has come from the unassuming Israel-Premier Tech and Israel-Premier Tech-Roland men’s and women’s squads. Gone is the plain white and blue design, say hello to a tie-dyed fusion of pink, white and navy. Groupama-FDJ are also in the running for the hottest new kit so far, with a simple, unique, colour-blocked jersey. The Ineos Grenadiers are in contention too, moving away from the blue jersey seen in 2022 to a fierce brigade red for next year. Astana, AG2R Citroën Team and newly-named  Team Jayco AlUla  currently sit at the bottom of our list, either due to a complete lack of effort to reinvent or just general bad taste.

Vote for your favourite WorldTour jersey of 2022

If you’re looking to get ahead of the game and bolster your kit knowledge before the WorldTour pelotons start firing on all cylinders again, here’s the full list of WorldTour team kits announced so far. We’ll be updating (and rating) each new kit design as it is released in due course…

Trek-Segafredo

pro tour cycling kit

Business in the front, party in the back? It’s top marks from us for Trek-Segafredo as they inject some serious snazziness into their 2023 kit with an asymmetrical pattern on the rear of both the men’s and women’s jerseys. At the front, they have kept it suitably simple with a white base colour, but the attention to detail on the back of the jersey will make the team easy to spot from those overhead helicopter shots in 2023. Those with a keen eye would have spotted that the band on the front of the women’s jersey is a slightly darker shade of blue than seen on the 2022 kit, but the change is nothing dramatic. Trek-Segafredo have got just the right amount of exciting upgrades while keeping their own unique identity in the peloton.

Ineos Grenadiers

pro tour cycling kit

The Ineos Grenadiers call their new kit "visibly fast" and we're not sure if that claim is quite true, or even possible, but we can agree that this is quite a nice outfit for 2023. In a move away from the navy they donned in 2022, the new jersey is described as a "brigade red" colour with flashes of orange and blue on both sleeves. Ineos says that these bright colours will enhance visibility of the riders out on the road, as well as being a statement of intent about the way the team plans to race in 2023. The team also lists a whole host of technological innovations about this kit in its press release, but honestly, we're just here for the style – top marks to the Ineos Grenadiers.

UAE Team Emirates

pro tour cycling kit

From a pure design perspective, we’ve never been a huge fan of UAE Team Emirates’ kit, but we’ve been quite sold on it while watching Tadej Pogačar as he rides away from the peloton in the Tour or the Classics. Who doesn’t want to look like that on a bicycle? For 2023, the kit is a little bit more palatable than year’s previous, with the team opting to get rid of the red fade on the sleeve and move to a more traditional black colour. In general, the jersey is a little less busy, and definitely has a sharper look. It seems like UAE Team Emirates is taking the ‘less is more’ approach, and we’re not mad about it.

Israel-Premier Tech/Israel-Premier Tech-Roland

pro tour cycling kit

Well, hello there. Ok, we know the men's team is not going to be WorldTour in 2023 as they are relegated to ProTeam status but as it stands, Israel-Premier Tech have put themselves firmly on the top of our podium of 2023 team kits. In fact, they’re a good couple of strides ahead of any competitors with this striking, colourful number. The dark royal blue on the left shoulder fades perfectly into a smattering of white, purple and dark pink creating an eye-catching design that’s quite unlike anything we’ve seen on team kits in the past. The newly formed Israel-Premier Tech-Roland women’s WorldTour team shares a stunningly similar design with the men’s squad, signifying that the two outfits could be working closely together in 2023.

AG2R Citroën Team

pro tour cycling kit

Yawn… no change from AG2R Citroën Team for 2023 for the second year in a row. This French team has a bit of a habit of keeping the same kit design year on year, but we’d ascertain this jersey is nice enough to remain on the shoulders of the likes of Greg Van Avermaet and Lawrence Naesen into 2023. Plus, it should mean that last year’s kit can be reused by the team (into the laundry rather than landfill.) AG2R Citroën Team have been given some fancy-looking, brightly coloured BMC bikes, so we can make do with drooling over those beauties next year.

Soudal-Quick-Step

pro tour cycling kit

Could be better, could be worse. The new Soudal Quick-Step kit is largely inoffensive, it keeps the team’s classic blue and white colour combo but leans far more on the blue side, with only one chunk of white in the centre of the jersey and on the sleeves. Sponsor Soudal gets prime real estate slap bang in the middle of the chest, getting its money’s worth for that title sponsorship in 2023. Quick-Step remains, too, of course, the team’s long-standing loyal supporter. A special mention has to also go to Remco Evenepoel’s new world champion jersey: the young Belgian has kept it classic and timeless (although he hasn’t gone for white shorts to match, yet…)

Groupama-FDJ

pro tour cycling kit

Uh oh, we’re starting to see a pattern of navy kit designs emerging as Groupama-FDJ is the latest to add itself to the list of teams that will sport blue hues in 2023. Still, we don't have much criticism for this jersey: the colour blocking on the front is simple and striking, and a far cry from FDJ’s previous jersey iterations which can end up looking a little busy. The minimal sponsors on the front is an improvement, and helps add a sleek and classy look to the garment. We’d be happy to wear it, but we wouldn’t be so happy if we were in the job of cycling commentary next year; it’s going to be hard to distinguish this kit through a sea of navy in 2023.

Astana Qazaqstan

pro tour cycling kit

Same old, same old for Astana. The team has stuck with its striking aquamarine, fade into navy for 2023, with the same diamond-shaped patterning across the front of the kit. The Astana Qazaqstan logo sits front and centre once more, adding a flash of yellow to the otherwise quite plain kit. The Astana jersey design doesn’t offend us, but we always hope for a little more pizzazz.

UAE Team ADQ

pro tour cycling kit

The UAE Team ADQ kit designers are clearly a fan of the blue and orange combination, as they’ve stuck with a similar colour palette for 2023. It’s not exactly the same, though, with a much larger portion of the jersey taking on a lilac colour and the bottom area a more subtle shade of pink, rather than last year’s orange. Some slightly random patterning has been added underneath the arms of both sleeves, too and we’re not quite sure why, but we’re not ones to complain about a bit of jazzy detailing on a team kit. The shorts are left plain black too which we like, it ensures that the kit as a whole isn’t too loud, just about…

Bahrain-Victorious

pro tour cycling kit

At first glance, there’s nothing strikingly different about the Bahrain-Victorious kit for 2023, but on closer inspection, there are a couple of changes that have actually improved the overall look quite dramatically. More black has been added to the bottom diamond shapes in the bottom half of the kit, as well as some yellow stripes which give the whole thing a sort of futuristic and 3D-look. Other than that, Bahrain-Victorious will stay pretty recognisable in the peloton with their orangey kit which we can expect to be ripping it up at the front of the classics early in the year.

Team Jumbo-Visma

pro tour cycling kit

At first glance, it may appear that Jumbo-Visma have stuck firmly in the camp of making no effort at all to change their kit for the 2023 season. However, the Dutch team have actually impressed us with some serious attention to detail in next season’s jersey. While they’ve retained the classic yellow and black which has been worn to so many victories, kit designers have added a slither of patterning in between the two colours which references the different kits worn in years previous by the team (blue for Blanco Pro Cycling team, green for Belkin, you get the picture.) Pretty neat, Jumbo, we like it.

Fenix-Deceuninck

pro tour cycling kit

While we are very excited about the addition of this team to the women’s WorldTour peloton for the 2023 season, Fenix-Deceuninck’s kit falls a little on the drab side. The plain navy blue base and white lettering could do with a pattern or bright colour to make it stand out. However, when a team is dishing out four-year contracts in the women's WorldTour and has an aim of bringing complete equality across its men’s and women’s WorldTour squads, we can forgive the slight lack of imagination when it comes to jersey designs.

Team Jayco AlUla

pro tour cycling kit

A new title sponsor for 2023, Saudi Arabian city AlUla, meant a kit redesign was a necessity for both the men’s and women’s newly-named Jayco AlUla WorldTour teams. However, despite some controversy over the team’s pink and blue colour scheme last year (pink for the women’s team and blue for the men’s, really?), the designers have chosen to stick with this for another season, yay… It’s a pretty unimaginative look and could do with a rethink or at least some additional detailing to make the team stand out in 2023. Sorry Team Jayco AlUla, but you sit right down at the bottom of our favourite team kits list this year.

FDJ-Suez-Futuroscope

pro tour cycling kit

True to their team slogan #RodamosJuntos (we ride together) and their longstanding commitment to making the men’s and women’s squads one team, rather than two separate projects, both Movistar WorldTour teams will share the same kit design again in 2023. Now made by Gobik, the jersey is a darker blue than last year, with a lighter fade on the sleeves and collar. White logos finish off the look, and we also are fans of the blue band on the bottom of the shorts to tie the whole thing together. Annemiek van Vleuten’s world champion’s kit has been done well too, striking and classic with the rainbow bands standing out proudly on the white jersey.

Team Arkéa Samsic

pro tour cycling kit

As the men’s squad steps up to WorldTour level in 2023, it was only right that the Team Arkéa Samsic jersey design had a refresh too, representing the team’s new chapter in the highest ranks of professional cycling. The base colour is a simple, striking red with a Triskell pattern overlaid: a strong symbol of Celtic culture and an ode to the team’s Breton roots. 2023 also sees a dash of Bianchi’s signature celeste green on the jersey’s sleeves as the bike sponsor of Team Arkéa Samsic for the season ahead. We appreciate the thought and history in this design and give big points to Arkéa Samsic for creating a jersey with a story.

BORA-hansgrohe

pro tour cycling kit

This was one of our favourite 2022 team kits and we’re somewhat relieved to see no huge changes to the outfit for 2023. There’s some subtle differences with a switch out of the white patterning for black, but outwardly, the BORA-hansgrohe kit looks quite similar to last year’s version. Kit manufacturers Le Col say that there are big changes to the aerodynamic qualities of the jersey with strategically placed tripping panels and seam layout to increase and smooth the airflow, while also minimising drag. We cannot confirm nor deny these claims, but we can give our opinion that this is one nice looking kit.

Human Powered Health

pro tour cycling kit

It’s only the women’s team that will be on WorldTour level in 2023 but both the men’s and women’s squads will proudly share the same Human Powered Health jersey in 2023. Unlike other teams, Human Powered Health has put some serious thought into its 2023 design and that’s something we can appreciate. The American squad says that its ‘core principles’ of movement, fuel, recovery and mindset are reflected in the kit’s rich colour scheme. A series of geometric lines on the front of the kit are also said to display the team’s ‘drawing board’ approach as they work towards better living. As the saying goes: you can have anything you want in life if you dress for it…

Intermarché-Circus-Wanty

pro tour cycling kit

The Tweet accompanying Intermarché-Circus-Wanty’s new kit drop said “You like it or you will learn to like it” and we can kind of see what they’re getting at. The neon yellow shoulders and strange swirling navy pattern at the bottom of the jersey is definitely unique and won’t be for everyone, nor will the tightly packed logos of 18 sponsors. However, put Taco van der Hoorn in a breakaway and watch him take a solo victory against all odds in a stage of a grand tour and, well, we can’t help but become fans of the mishmash Intermarché outfit.

pro tour cycling kit

Men’s WorldTour team Cofidis shook up its kit for the 2022 season after a couple of years of keeping things the same and they’ve continued to develop their kit design for 2023. Gone is the large white panel across the sleeves and shoulders, and instead the jersey features a red base with darker burgundy geometric shapes. The Cofidis women’s team, which remains at Continental level for 2023, also will sport the same jersey design as the men’s WorldTour squad. Overall, we’d say that this jersey is an improvement from last year's for the French team, it’s classy, unique and vibrant.

Uno-X Pro Cycling Team

pro tour cycling kit

In a bid to reduce consumption and cut their overall clothing order for 2023, Uno-X Pro Cycling Team (who have a women's WorldTour team and men's ProTeam) has stuck with the same design for the upcoming season. They also note that this makes it easier for fans to continue to recognise the team right from the beginning of the year, which actually does make quite a lot of sense, it doesn’t give us much to write about for this article, though… We liked Uno-X’s kit in 2022, and we’ll keep liking it for 2023.

Team SD Worx

pro tour cycling kit

Bold, bright, beautiful. We’re big fans of this kit from the number one ranked Women’s WorldTour team. It’s similar to last year’s attire, but kit designers have heavily upped the colour saturation to create a jersey which stands out from the crowd. The strip of purple along the front of the kit matches well with what looks like navy blue bib shorts, while minimal sponsor logos ensure that the design isn’t too busy. The logo of payroll and workforce management company SD Worx has actually been integrated into the patterning of the kit with the star shaped block on the lower part of the jersey, which we think is much more inventive than just slapping a bigger logo on (other teams, take note.)

EF Education Tibco-SVB and EF Education EasyPost

pro tour cycling kit

Anticipation over the kit that Rapha will make for the EF Education women’s and men’s WorldTour teams is always high year on year. Although the men’s jersey was leaked a few weeks before the actual release date due to a cheeky Instagram story, we were still excited to see the big reveal. Surprisingly, the kit actually appears to be a more stripped back version of last year’s. Designers have gone for simple, pink colour blocks which they say represents the past, present and future of the teams. For the first time, the men’s and women’s kits are exactly the same apart from sponsor logos and we’re big fans of this simple but striking jersey. Congratulations, Rapha, you’ve done a stellar job again.

pro tour cycling kit

Another year, another chunk of the budget saved for Team DSM on a new jersey design. The Dutch team sticks to its simple two blue stripes down the front and back of the kit with a black base colour and the DSM logo loud and proud, front and centre. We're fans of the simplicity of Team DSM's kit and the design is memorable while standing out from the crowd. We can also forgive a slightly duller team kit considering the snazzy glitter colourway on Team DSM's Scott bike.

WorldTour Bikes 2022

The anticipation of a new WorldTour season is heightened further by the speculation, then confirmation of team bike sponsorships for the campaign ahead. In some years the changes are pronounced. In others less so. In 2022 it’s certainly the latter; a case of ‘as you were’ for many teams.

While the number of professional teams has shifted - there are now 18 men’s teams, down from 19, and 14 women’s teams, up from nine - the road bikes and equipment they’re riding will look largely familiar. In fact, in the men’s ranks when it comes to bike and groupset brands we have just one change apiece.

So what are the headlines after such a fallow off-season? Giant is back in the big leagues after a brief hiatus, while Bianchi is out. Specialized is sponsoring four teams as well as joining Peter Sagan at TotalEnergies at the ProTour level.

Shimano continues to rule the groupset roost at WorldTour level. Of the 32 teams racing in 2022 it sponsors 19 of them. SRAM is next in line, with eight teams riding its top tier Red eTap AXS. Meanwhile Campagnolo’s exposure is limited to just five teams.

Every team will start the season on disc brakes, which certainly lowers the odds of a clean sweep of the Grand Tours. However, reigning Tour de France champ Tadej Pogačar  will still have the option of switching to a rim-brake model when the mood suits him. Pencilled in to ride the Vuelta alongside the defence of his yellow jersey, you might be advised to place any such bet with caution.

Ag2r-Citroën

AG2r-Citroen BMC SLR bike 2022

  • Groupsets: Campagnolo
  • Wheels: Campagnolo

The 2021 season saw wholesale change for the French squad as they added a title sponsor in the form of Citroën while also switching bike and groupset sponsors, among others. So it’s no surprise then that, on the tech front at least, the past off-season was a quiet one.

They start 2022, once again, on BMC bikes , switching between the Teammachine SLR01 and the Timemachine Road for road stages and one-day races. Both will come equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS and Campagnolo Bora wheels, shod with Pirelli rubber.

Other sponsors include Fizik and Wahoo. And before you ask, the best coloured shorts in the peloton are back for their 14th year.

Astana Qazaqstan

WorldTour Bikes: Astana Wilier 2022

  • Bikes: Wilier
  • Groupsets: Shimano
  • Wheels: Corima

While the Astana team name has altered, and the likes of Vincenzo Nibali and Miguel ‘Superman’ Ángel López  have returned, on the bike and equipment front there has been no such change. That means Wilier bikes, Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Corima wheels and Vittoria tyres are all back for '22.

With regards to options, look for the riders to choose either the Wilier O SLR or the Filante SLR for road stages and the Classics, while using the Turbine against the clock.

Bahrain Victorious

WorldTour Bikes: Bahrain Merida Reacto

  • Bikes: Merida
  • Wheels: Vision

The name change proved apt in 2021, with the team winning stages in all three Grand Tours as well as finishing the year on a high with Sonny Colbrelli triumphing at a very muddy and generally unforgettable Paris-Roubaix on his Merida Reacto Team-E bike .

They’ll be hoping for more of the same in 2022, and will be doing so on the same equipment, including Merida bikes . Riders will switch between its Reacto Team-E and Scultura bikes on the road, both kitted out with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, Vision wheels, Continental tyres and FSA cockpits.

Bora-Hansgrohe

Bora Specialized Tarmac SL7 2022 team bike

  • Bikes: Specialized
  • Wheels: Roval

The German team made plenty of noise on the transfer front during the off-season. But while they’ll line up in 2022 with lots of new faces, including Sam Bennett and Sergio Higuita, they’ll be doing so on largely unchanged equipment. Specialized is back, with its Tarmac SL7 being the weapon of choice for most riders. So too are Roval wheels, Shimano groupsets, PRO finishing kit and Wahoo computers.

Canyon-SRAM Pro Cycling

WorldTour Bikes: Canyon-SRAM

  • Bikes: Canyon
  • Groupsets: SRAM
  • Wheels: Zipp

There are no prizes for guessing this team’s set-up heading into the 2022 season. Once again they’ll be switching between the Canyon Aeroroad, the Ultimate and the Speedmax depending on the stage, race and discipline. The bikes will be equipped with SRAM’s eTap AXS, Zipp wheels and Schwalbe tyres.

  • Bikes: De Rosa

Founded in 1997, Cofidis is one of pro cycling’s elder statesmen. The French outfit will again rely on two heavyweight Italian brands to see them through the 2022 season, with De Rosa bikes and Campagnolo groupsets in play. The riders will spend much of the year aboard a Merak road bike equipped with a Super Record EPS gruppo, which is as stylish a pairing as you’ll see in the peloton. Judging on photos taken at training camp however, they seem to have parted ways with Fulcrum and are now riding Corima wheels.

EF Education-EasyPost

  • Bikes: Cannondale

Despite a name change of sorts, EF will remain among the most recognisable teams in the peloton in ‘22.

As in the past few seasons its relationship with Rapha has led to another bold kit design, with elements of the design trickling down to the paint scheme on the Cannondale bikes . The team will also hope to continue to garner attention through its results - last season saw 16 wins including Magnus Cort's impressive hat trick of stage victories at La Vuelta.

Once again the riders will be able to choose between the SuperSix EVO and the SystemSix aero bike for road stages and races.

Elsewhere equipment choices also remain in place from last year. This means Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, Vision wheels, Vittoria tyres and FSA finishing kit.

 EF Education-Tibco-Silicon Valley Bank

Moving up to WorldTour level for 2022, the women's team choice of equipment mirrors that of their male counterparts: Cannondale bikes, Shimano gruppos and Vision wheels.

FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine-Futuroscope

WorldTour Bikes: FDJ Lapierre

  • Bikes: Lapierre
  • Wheels: Shimano

Formed in 2008 and under its current sponsorship guise since 2017, the French team will head in 2022 with its equipment unchanged. Like the men's FDJ set-up, this means Lapierre bikes and Shimano groupset and wheels.

Groupama-FDJ

WorldTour Bikes: Groupama-FDJ Lapierre Xelius 2022

When it comes to bikes and equipment, the French team subscribes to the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix’ school of thought. This season will again see them aboard Lapierre bikes, this time with the option to ride the new look Xelius SL3 .

Shimano remains in the form of the Dura-Ace groupset and wheels, as do the Continental tyres and PRO finishing kit.

We’re also hoping for another Groupama-FDJ staple in 2022: team manager Marc Madiot’s impassioned displays of support for his riders, usually delivered while hanging out the window of the support car.

Human Powered Health

  • Bikes: Felt

Previously known as Rally Cycling, the US-based team move up to the women's WorldTour for the first time. They remain largely unchanged at the equipment level however, with Felt bikes, SRAM groupsets, FSA kit and Vision wheels all still in play. Other key tech sponsors include Wahoo for GPS computers and Rudy Project for helmets and sunglasses.

Ineos Grenadiers

WorldTour bikes: Ineos Pinarello Dogma F

  • Bikes: Pinarello

Ineos made a few off-season noises but none on the equipment front. So while the team will now be wearing Bioracer kit and Dave Brailsford has moved to a comfy seat on the top floor of the building, the bikes remain for 2022.

Of course, a significant update had already been made during the 2021 campaign, thanks to the release of the new Pinarello Dogma F . This meant a switch to disc brakes for a team that had been previously flying the flag for the ‘save the rim brake movement’ in some style, most notably with Tao Geoghegan Hart and Egan Bernal winning back-to-back Giro titles in ‘20 and ‘21 on the back of Bernal’s TdF breakthrough the previous year. However, Bernal and Richard Carapaz, among others, rode a rim brake version of the Dogma F in the later stages on the '21 season.

The Pinarellos will continue to come equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, Shimano wheels, Continental rubber and MOST finishing kit.

Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux

WorldTour Bikes 2022

  • Bikes: Cube
  • Wheels: Newmen

The Belgian team made quite the splash in its WorldTour debut season of 2021, animating many races and picking off two Grand Tour stages wins in the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a Espana (who can forget Taco van der Hoorn holding off a marauding peloton to capture Stage 3 in the Giro?). This year sees several new additions to the band as they attempt their difficult second album. However, the equipment is unchanged.

That means Cube bikes and wheels from its sister company, Newmen, as well as Shimano groupsets, Conti tyres, Prologo saddles and Look pedals. Regarding those Cube bikes, expect to see the Litening C:68X used again as the team’s weapon of choice.

Israel Start-Up Nation

WorldTour Bikes: Israel Start-Up Nation Fatcor bike

  • Bikes: Factor
  • Wheels: Black Inc

Another team who chose to alight the equipment merry-go-round for 2022, Israel Start-Up Nation are back on the stealthy looking Factor Ostro VAM bikes for the season ahead. These will be equipped with sister company Black Inc’s wheels and bars, as well as Shimano groupsets (albeit now with a Rotor chainset), Selle Italia saddles and Hammerhead GPS computers.

Jumbo-Visma

WorldTour Bikes 2022: Jumbo Visma's Cervelo R5

  • Bikes: Cervélo

Like many teams,  Jumbo-Visma will head into 2022 on much of the same equipment, after making significant changes in 2021. This means they’ll again be on Cervélo bikes equipped, as before, with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets. However, the women's and development teams will now be using Reserve wheels from Cervélo's sister brand while the men's team will be still on Shimano wheels on their R5 and S5 road bike with Reserve wheels on their P5 TT bikes. Tyres will still be Vittoria tyres and saddles Fizik.

Already a juggernaut of a team thanks to the likes of three-time Vuelta champ Primož Roglič, and the incomparably versatile Wout van Aert, the Dutch outfit added more firepower to its men's line-up for 2022, most notably Tiesj Benoot, Rohan Dennis and Christophe Laporte.

The women’s team are stepping up to WorldTour level for the first time, but are doing so led by Marianne Vos, who like van Aert is something of a Swiss Army Knife when it comes to bike racing. In short, expect to see black and yellow Cervélo R5 and S5 bikes at the business end of many races once again.

Liv Racing Xstra

WorldTour Bikes: Liv Racing Xstra Liv

  • Wheels: Cadex

While the team has found an additional sponsor in the form of digital storage company Xstra, the equipment sees little change. Naturally they’ll be riding Liv bikes , choosing between the Langma and the EnvLiv models. They’ll also be using Cadex wheels and components and should be back with SRAM as groupset sponsor, too.

Lotto-Soudal

Lotto Soudal Ridley 2022

  • Bikes: Ridley
  • Wheels: DT Swiss

The likable Belgian team are this year’s biggest equipment movers and shakers. While they’ll still be riding Ridley bikes, they’ve made changes to both groupset and wheels. Out go Campagnolo and its Bora wheels, and in come Shimano and DT Swiss; the latter having been absent from the WorldTour scene for a while. Vittoria returns as tyre providers. Riders will once again be choosing between the Ridley Helium and the Noah Fast depending on the stage or race.

Movistar

WorldTour Bikes: Movistar Canyon Aeroad

The Spanish team has been a permanent fixture in the pro ranks since 1980, switching to its current sponsor in 2011. For 18 of these years its men's squad has featured Alejandro Valverde, who at the age of 42, will be hanging up his boots at the close of the 2022 season.

If El Bala manages to go out with a bang, he'll be doing it using familiar gear. This year sees no equipment change from the last. That translates to Canyon bikes , SRAM groupsets and Zipp wheels. Riders on both the men’s and women’s squads will predominantly use Canyon’s Aeroad CFR for road stages and the Speedmax CFR for TTs

Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl

WorldTour Bikes: Quickstep Alpha Vinyl Specialized Tarmac SL7

No one loves a name change as much as Patrick Lefevere and his Quick-Step team. No sooner have you figured out that Etixx are the makers of nutrition products, then you’re scrabbling around Google to learn that Deceuninck do indeed make PVC doors and windows. This year the Belgian team have simplified affairs, advertising only Alpha Vinyl flooring made by its primary sponsor.

They’ve kept it simple on the equipment front too, with the only change being a switch from Wahoo to Garmin GPS computers. Specialized, Roval and Shimano are all back. With regards to the bikes, this means Tarmac SL7s for the road and the Shiv for TT. However, it will be interesting to see if any riders choose the ‘more compliant-less aero’ Aethos for certain stages, as Kasper Asgreen did during last year’s Tour de France.

Roland-Cogeas-Edelweiss Squad

  • Bikes: Look

The Swiss/Russia-based squad move up to the WorldTour for the first time. Judging by the logos adorning the new 2022 kits (made by Q36.5), they’ll be back on Look bikes for the season ahead, specced with Campagnolo groupsets and Corima wheels.

Team BikeExchange-Jayco

Team Bike Exchange-Jayco Giant Propel 2022

  • Bikes: Giant/Liv

Another name change for 2022, and in the case of Time BikeExchange-Jayco, a new bike too. Bianchi is out, which means the Italian marque is no longer represented at the WorldTour level. In its place comes Giant and, for the women’s team, Liv. Cadex wheels and tyres will replace Shimano hoops and Pirelli rubber, with the Japanese manufacturer remaining as groupset supplier.

Now in its 11th year, the Aussie team will be riding Giant’s TCR Advanced SL Disc and Propel Advanced Disc SL and Liv’s Langma Advanced Disc SL. Interestingly it also looks like they will be going tubeless for the season ahead.

Team BikeExchange-Jayco Liv Langma 2022

  • Bikes: Scott

The likes of Romain Bardet and Britain’s Pfeiffer Georgi will once again be aboard Scott bikes , most notably in the form of its Addict road bike. Similarly, there are no changes in components, with Shimano supplying both groupset and wheels, while its sister company PRO takes care of the finishing kit. Vittoria and Wahoo are also back for 2022 for tyres and computers respectively.

Team SD Worx

WorldTour Bikes: SD Worx

SD Worx will hope that its decision to stick rather than twist when it comes to equipment will deliver similar results to 2021. They won 33 times over the course of the year, including standout performances from Anna van der Breggen, whose multiple victories included one-day wins at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and La Flèche Wallonne Féminine, and Demi Vollering, who won the Women’s Tour in October. For 2022, Van der Breggen steps off the bike and into the team car in her new role as assistant team director.

This year they’ll again be riding Specialized’s rocket ship, the Tarmac SL7, equipped with SRAM Red eTap AXS, Zipp wheels and components, Time pedals and Tacx bottle cages.

Trek-Segafredo

WorlTour Bikes: Trek Madone 2022

  • Bikes: Trek
  • Wheels: Bontrager

Trek-Segafredo returns for its seventh year of dual sponsorship, proving that bikes and coffee really do belong with together. They’ll be heading into the season with no equipment changes.

The riders will again be able to choose between the Trek Emonda, the Madone (which Jasper Stuyven piloted to success at last year's Milan-Sanremo) and the Domane depending on the stage or the race. The Trek bikes will be equipped with SRAM groupsets and Bontrager finishing kit and its Aeolus wheels. The latter will be shod with Pirelli tyres.

WorldTour Bikes: Trek Emonda 2022

Uno-X Pro Cycling Team

  • Bikes: Dare
  • Groupsets: Shimano

While the Uno-X men’s team was founded in 2010 and currently races at the ProTour level, the women’s team is new for 2022.

The Norwegian outfit, which includes three Brits in the shape of  former Canyon-SRAM rider Hannah Barnes, Elinor Barker and Joscelin Lowden, heads straight to the WorldTour and will do so riding Dare bicycles, a direct-to-consumer brand. The bike is likely to be a VSRu aero bike, which will be equipped with Shimano groupsets and DT Swiss wheels.

UAE Team ADQ

WorldTour Bikes: UAE ADQ Colnago V3R

  • Bikes: Colnago

Having taken over the license from the ALÉ BTC Ljubljana team, UAE Team ADQ head into the 2022 season with a similar squad of riders but a few changes in equipment.

Cipollini bikes make way for Colnago, with the women, like the UAE men, set to ride the V3R disc. Like the men they’ll also be using Campagnolo groupsets and wheels, which in this case will be shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres.

UAE Team Emirates

WorldTour Bikes: UAE Colnago V3R

Built around the otherworldly talents of Tadej Pogačar, the UAE team will look to repeat and expand upon its Grand Tour and Classics success of 2021. To do so they’ll be sticking with largely the same equipment. The Italian trifecta of Colnago, Campagnolo and Deda remains, while the team has switched to Pirelli tyres for the season ahead.

It will be of particular interest to see if Pog continues to switch between rim and disc brakes as he did last season; he finished a dominant year by winning Il Lombardia on a V3RS with rim brakes, his preference on hilly and mountainous parcours .

Men's WorldTour bikes and tech: What are teams using in 2024?

Decathlon enters the fray with Van Rysel, Bora-Hansgrohe switch to SRAM, and could 2024 be a year without Campagnolo in the WorldTour?

WorldTour 2024 kit

Welcome to the  Cyclingnews  WorldTour bikes guide for 2024, a complete and comprehensive round-up of the bikes and tech used by the men's UCI WorldTour Teams for the upcoming cycling season. Be sure to check out the Women's WorldTour Bikes too.

The offseason seems to get shorter and shorter each year, we barely seem to have chance to draw breath here at Cyclingnews before the racing gets underway again . If you fancy a recap of 2023's tech happenings before we go again for 2024, head over to our roundup of the most interesting tech stories of the year, but we're already looking ahead, planning for January's early-season kick-off at the Tour Down Under in Australia.

As such, we've been doing our homework on all the team kit changes, sponsors and technical partners for the 2024 season as news and announcements begin to gather pace. We probably won't have the complete picture until early January after all the official team launches, but we've rounded up everything we know - or can deduce with confidence - below.

The sheer speed WorldTour road races are run off at these days is astounding. With racing action opening up from further and further out during races it seems. Advances in training science and power meter technology also mean there is an incredible strength in depth within the men's WorldTour peloton.

WorldTour bikes 2023 WorldTour bikes 2022 WorldTour bikes 2021 WorldTour bikes 2020 WorldTour bikes 2019 WorldTour bikes 2018 WorldTour bikes 2017

Any team or rider not using optimised bikes and equipment is going to be at a disadvantage given the high level and as such more and more teams are leaving no stone unturned when it comes to bikes and kit. Losing a handful of watts due to exposed cabling or slow tyres isn't an option for WorldTour racers, just see Ineos Grenadiers' aero transponder hack for proof.

We saw bikes got heavier when teams first switched to disc brakes several years ago. In 2023 however, it felt like several brands got a lot closer to the UCI 6.8kg weight limit again with lightweight, disc-equipped, aero-optimised bikes. If you believe all of the tech info and marketing news, today's race bikes are just as, if not more aero than the hyper aero race bikes of only a handful of years ago, but they are one again right on the nose of the UCI minimum weight limit.

Couple this with aero-optimised everything, waxed drivetrains, 1x chainsets for road stages not to mention some of the most aerodynamic cycling kit on the market and you get incredibly fast average speeds for most races these days.

We expect 2024 to build on these tech trends and expect teams to keep up their unrelenting quest for the best possible blend of weight, aero and speed. 2024 is also an Olympic year and we may well see some extra special kit from various manufacturers.

Christophe Laporte

Of the 18 WorldTour men's teams for 2024, there are two new frame supplier changes with Groupama-FDJ switching from Lapierre after 22 long years to Wilier Triestina , and Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team as it will be known saying goodbye to BMC and switching to Decathlon's own brand Van Rysel .

That latter move sees Decathlon's bikes back in the top flight after a long lay off, and sees BMC outside of the top flight for the first time in a decade (albeit still working with Swiss squad Tudor). The rest of the men's WorldTour bike brands remain the same but there are some equipment changes which are outlined below.

Another development worth mentioning toward the end of this season was the release of the new Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 which some of the top riders in the peloton will be riding on next year, transitioning from the SL7 model. Hit the link to read all about the bike's 'speed sniffer' technology.

World Tour riders

Like last year, there aren't too many big kit changes for next year, although there's still a little time for some changes to come.

Ineos Grenadiers are one team that have switched kit suppliers , moving from BioRacer kit to Spanish brand Gobik in what's been called a long-term partnership. The linked article above also gives some insights into just how big a commitment supplying a whole team with kit is. We also saw Ineos partnering with Castore for off-bike wear last year and believe this remains unchanged.

Astana have also said goodbye to Giordana as they partner with Biemme for the 2024 race season

There is also more change for the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team who retain clothing provider Rosti but will use Van Rysel helmets and sunglasses as part of the team's new equipment deal.

Sportful also re-enters the WorldTour with its old team Bora-Hansgrohe after the German team jumped ship to British brand LeCol ahead of the 2022 season,

WorldTour 2024 kit

A key talking point this year is the apparent absence of Campagnolo from the WorldTour peloton for 2024. We speculated this time last year on whether we would see the brand in the peloton for 2024 and at the moment, their absence looks likely after AG2R switched from BMC to Van Rysel bikes and Campagnolo to Shimano equipment.

"Campagnolo can confirm that its partnership with the AG2R Citröen Team has come to an end, and that it has amicably parted ways with the team." the brand said in a statement to Cyclingnews , confirming news we all knew following the team's Shimano-equipped bike launch last month. "There is currently no announcement to make about Campagnolo's partnerships in professional road racing for the 2024 season."

We can't account for a couple of seasons so aren't 100% sure, but this could be the first time in the brand's history (bar a couple of very early years) where its equipment hasn't been used in the top flight of racing. Even if not, it's still a notable situation to find the brand in.

We also have confirmed that Bora-Hansgrohe will switch from Shimano to SRAM groupsets. We understand Bora used to purchase their own groupsets from Shimano, rather than any direct sponsorship deal, so perhaps SRAM has a better price or has stepped in with a deal to provide equipment.

We also saw UAE Emirates start to use some alternate componentry in 2023 in the form of Carbon-Ti chainrings and disc brake rotors instead of their stock Dura-Ace equipment. The UAE Team Emirates outfit also buys its own groupsets, so has no sponsor obligations to adhere to here, and have seen images of the team running the same components on their new bikes.

Men's teams and bikes

Decathlon ag2r la mondiale team.

Van Rysel bike

  • Bikes : Van Rysel RCR / XCR time trial bike
  • Groupset : Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 Disc 12 Speed
  • Wheels : SwssSide Hadron
  • Tyres: Continental GP5000 S TR
  • Clothing : Rosti / Van Rysel
  • Saddles : Fizik
  • Finishing Kit : Deda / Van Rysel
  • Computers : Wahoo

The biggest changes for next year are taking place at Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team as they will be known from January.

The team will be aboard a completely new equipment package for 2024, saying goodbye to BMC and Campagnolo Equipment. The riders will use Van Rysel road and time trial bikes, Shimano Dura-Ace equipment and SwissSide wheels. For existing riders on the team that's a lot of changes to get used to before the racing kicks off.

Astana Qazaqstan Team

Wilier Filante SLR

  • Bikes : Wilier Zero SLR, Wilier Filante SLR, Wilier Turbine TT
  • Wheels : Vision Metron
  • Tyres: Vittoria Corsa
  • Clothing : Biemme
  • Saddles : Prologo
  • Finishing Kit : Wilier
  • Computers : Garmin

Despite some speculation, Cyclingnews understands that Astana are staying with Wilier and have seen press shots from a December training camp of the team on Wilier Filante SLR bikes. Team riders will be able to choose from the Zero and Filante SLR models.

After using Corima and HED wheels for the 2023 season, the team announced they would be using Vision wheels for the 2024 season.

Bahrain Victorious

  • Bikes : Merida Reacto, Merida Scultura, Merida Warp TT
  • Groupset : Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 Disc
  • Wheels :  Vision
  • Clothing : Alé
  • Finishing Kit : FSA, Vision

There's also little change at Bahrain Victorious. The team did start the 2021 campaign in Nalini clothing before they switched to Alé during the summer, but that new partner remains along with the use of Merida Bikes, Shimano groupsets, and Vision/FSA componentry.

The team rolled out a new paint job for the Tour de France which featured a lot more white and paid homage to Bahrain's pearl fishing industry.

Also worth inclusion here despite being not road-specific is Matej Mohoric's World Championship-winning Merida gravel bike from early October as the road star made a very successful transition to the rough stuff.

Bora-Hansgrohe

Primoz Roglic

  • Bikes : Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8, Specialized S-Works Shiv TT
  • Groupset : SRAM Red AXS
  • Wheels : Roval
  • Tyres: Specialized
  • Clothing : Sportful
  • Saddles : Specialized
  • Finishing Kit : PRO, Specialized
  • Computers : Hammerhead Karoo 2

There is change afoot at Bora Hansgrohe for 2024, firstly in the shape of new star signing Primož Roglič who signed for the team and leaves Jumbo Visma after a long tenure.

The other significant piece of equipment news for the team is the switch from Shimano to SRAM equipment with Roglič himself spotted with a Sram Red AXS-equipped Bora Tarmac SL8 ahead of the new season. The kit itself also features more green this year and some lighter green in particular on the right shoulder.

The team has also changed from Wahoo to Hammerhead Karoo 2 computers for the 2024 season. They have also signed a deal with KOO eyewear which is owned by Kask for 2024. For the moment, the rest of the team's equipment looks to be staying the same.

Look 795

  • Bikes : Look 795 Blade, 796 Monoblade RS (TT)
  • Wheels : Corima
  • Clothing : Van Rysel
  • Saddles : Selle Italia
  • Finishing Kit : FSA/Vision

Cofidis look to be sticking with their current setup which is a largely French affair with Look frames and Corima wheels. We were speculating on the identity of their new Look frames this year. But it became apparent this was the 795 Blade frameset module which took a spectacular win at the Tour in 2023 thanks to Victor Lafay.

EF Education-Easypost

  • Bikes : Cannondale SuperSix Evo LAB 71, SystemSix, SuperSlice (TT)
  • Wheels : Vision
  • Clothing : Rapha
  • Computers : TBC

For the most part, it appears EF Education-Easypost are sticking with what they have in 2024. Continuing aboard Cannondale bikes, Vision/FSA components, and Prologo saddles. It's a setup that feels very familiar now.

The team did start racing the fourth generation of the SuperSix Evo in March and we expect to see them racing on the top-flight LAB 71 bikes in 2024.

The team's opinion-dividing limited edition team kits have gained the team plenty of exposure throughout previous seasons. We can probably expect to see more of the same on at least one of this year's grand tours.

Groupama-FDJ

Wilier Filante SLR

  • Wheels : Shimano C35, C50, C60
  • Tyres: Continental Grand Prix 5000 TT
  • Finishing Kit : Lapierre

FDJ said goodbye to Lapierre at the end of this season after 22 long years. It's confirmed they will race on Wilier bikes for 2024 and we have already had a sneak peek of the potential new bike.

So far, aside from the new frame supplier, the team's equipment package looks to be the same as last year with a Dura Ace equipment package and wheels. Though we may know more after the official team launch.

Ineos Grenadiers

Pinarello Dogma F Ineos

  • Bikes : Pinarello Dogma F, Bolide (TT)
  • Groupset : Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12 Speed
  • Wheels : Shimano (Princeton Carbonworks & Aerocoach will be present as non-sponsored additions)
  • Tyres: Continental
  • Clothing : Gobik
  • Finishing Kit : MOST

Bike-wise, not much appears to have altered yet for Ineos Grenadiers. They are still using the same mix of equipment providers and have developed the Pinarello Dogma F frame with Pinarello over many years. They use a mix of Shimano, Princeton Carbonworks, and Aerocoach wheels for road and TT disciplines. The team after a long relationship with Fizik announced a new partnership with Prologo and will use the brand's saddles on and off road in 2024.

Video and images have appeared online of the team at its December training camp the bike's paint schemes look almost identical to last year.

The team also switched clothing suppliers in 2024, waving goodbye to Bio Racer and launching a new 'long term' partnership with Gobik, whose design is a little different with a notable change being the left-right fade and odd-coloured arms on long-sleeve items.

Intermarché - Wanty

  • Bikes : Cube Litening C:68X, Aerium C:68 (TT)
  • Wheels : Newmen
  • Clothing : Verge
  • Finishing Kit : Cube
  • Computers : Bryton

Intermarché - Wanty dropped the 'circus' title sponsor for 2024 but stick with all of their current sponsors and equipment. Cube, Shimano and Newmen make up the package for the WorldTour team.

The team changed from Nalini to Verge cycling kit for 2024. The kit features fluorescent yellow in abundance and we're hoping to see both Taco Van der Hoorn and Biniam Girmay return to their former flourishes following their respective battles with concussion.

Alpecin-Deceuninck

WorldTour 2024 kit

  • Bikes : Canyon Aeroad CFR / Ultimate CFR / Speedmax (TT)
  • Wheels : Shimano
  • Tyres: Vittoria
  • Clothing : Kalas
  • Finishing Kit : Canyon / Selle Italia
  • Computers : Wahoo

Alpecin-Deceuninck might have only graduated to the WorldTour in 2023, but the team has had a similar equipment package for a few years now.

Not much appears to be changing for 2024, with the team retaining all of their sponsors. But we can probably expect a new custom-painted Canyon Aeroad for reigning World Road Race Champion Mathieu van der Poel as well as a host of rainbow kit.

Team Visma | Lease a bike

Visma | Lease a bike

  • Bikes : Cervélo S5, R5, Caledonia, P5 (TT)
  • Groupset : SRAM Red eTap
  • Wheels : Reserve
  • Tyres: Vittoria
  • Clothing : Agu
  • Finishing Kit : Cervelo / FSA

We don't know if there are any official changes for the all-conquering soon-to-be renamed Team Visma | Lease A Bike squad for 2024. The upcoming team launch may tell us more.

The team did have a lot of new equipment to get used to last season after switching from Shimano to SRAM, to Wahoo Speedplay pedals, and Nimbl shoes. Elsewhere they use Cervelo bikes and Reserve wheels in a range of depths.

The team is widely regarded as the tip of the pyramid now when it comes to marginal gains and optimisation, notably experimenting with 1x drivetrains in road races the 2023 season. We wouldn't be surprised to see a few more tweaks here and there as Jonas Vingegaard aims for a third straight Tour de France.

Arkéa B&B Hotels

Bianchi Specialissima

  • Bikes : Bianchi Oltre RC, Specialissima, Aquila (TT)
  • Groupset : Shimano Dura-Ace Di2
  • Tyres: Vittoria Metron - 45 and 60
  • Clothing : Ekoi
  • Finishing Kit : Reparto course by Vision / FSA

After rolling out a new Bianchi equipment package for 2023, Arkea looks to be sticking to the same frames from Bianchi for 2024.

There is some change in the form of a different team name with the team changing to Arkéa - B&B Hotels. We also expect them to have the use of the new Bianchi Specialissima lightweight bike, which we first saw at the Vuelta, and have seen the team training on already this December.

They will use Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets and wheels which the Arkea riders will be familiar with, and notably switch from Shimano to Vision wheels for road races as well as from Continental to Vittoria tyres

Movistar Team

  • Bikes : Canyon Aeroad CFR, Ultimate CFR, Speedmax CFR (TT)
  • Groupset : SRAM Red eTap AXS
  • Wheels : Zipp
  • Clothing : Gobik / BORN
  • Finishing Kit : Canyon

Most things look to be staying the same at Movistar for 2024 ahead of the officical team launch and the team has had a similar package for a few years now. This means continued use of Canyon's bikes, SRAM's wireless Red eTap AXS groupsets and Zipp wheels, with saddles courtesy of Fizik and computers supplied by Garmin.

Time has come on board as a pedal sponsor for 2024. Time pedal systems are some of the lightest around. Sram own Time so the partnership makes sense. The team have also announced a new partnership for three years with Spanish brand BORN to cover all the team's leisurewear requirements off the bike.

Soudal-QuickStep

WorldTour 2024 kit

  • Clothing : Castelli

At the time of writing, everything looks to be staying the same for Soudal-QuickStep Their Specialized / Shimano package has proven successful over many seasons and seems to be a tried and tested combination.

The team will all race on Tarmac SL8 bikes next year and we have spotted a few riders on new 2024 colour scheme bikes online in the last few days.

Specialized provides more than just frames to the team, with riders using its shoes, helmets, tyres and in some cases cockpits as well. Top secret Specialized 'Project Black' prototype equipment is also out in the wild, but Specialized remains tight-lipped on all fronts.

The team has also extended its partnership with Danish company CeramicSpeed through to the end of 2024. The brand supplies the team with bottom brackets as well as bearings kits etc.

Team Jayco-AlUla

Jayco Alula

  • Bikes : Propel Advanced SL, TCR Advanced SL, Trinity (TT)
  • Wheels : Cadex
  • Saddles : Cadex
  • Finishing Kit : Giant
  • Computers : Stages

After last year's name change, the Jayco AlUla team's equipment package remains largely the same for the moment. Team colours have changed slightly with some red coming in on the lower half of the split colour way team jerseys. Giant remains the bike sponsor and provides its own Cadex wheels, Dash computers (albeit these are simply Giant-branded Stages Dash computers ) and Cadex finishing kit.

Interestingly the Propel and TCR still use an integrated seat mast which isn't something we see on many high-end road bikes anymore. IF the product cycle is anything to go by, we're expecting a new TCR in 2024, so we'll keep our eyes peeled to see if this remains.

Team DSM - Firmenich PostNL

  • Bikes : Scott Addict RC, Plasma (TT)
  • Wheels : Shimano C36, C50, C60
  • Clothing : Nalini
  • Saddles : Syncros
  • Finishing Kit : Syncros

Almost everything looks set to remain the same at Team DSM for 2024 ahead of their official team launch.

We do know the team will continue to ride Scott bikes until 2025. For this year at least, and likely beyond, that will also be complete with Shimano groupsets and wheels, especially as Team DSM is one of the few teams actually sponsored by Shimano, unlike others who are forced to buy it (or have it supplied by their bike sponsor).

Elsewhere, data will be handled by Wahoo as it has been since 2021. The team's clothing system is interesting, with the kit custom manufactured by Nalini, but in collaboration with DSM with the integration of the material Dyneema.

Lidl - Trek

  • Bikes : Trek Madone, Emonda, Domane, Speed Concept (TT)
  • Wheels : Bontrager
  • Clothing : Santini
  • Saddles : Bontrager
  • Finishing Kit : Bontrager

Like last year, nothing much has changed at Lidl-Trek for 2024 thus far. The team created waves in the summer after changing names to Lidl - Trek just before the Tour de France.

Mads Pederson's custom-painted Trek Madone almost broke the internet in July too.

We know nothing that suggests the team won't continue on Trek's range of road bikes, SRAM groupsets, Bontrager components, Wahoo computers and clothing from Santini.

UAE Team Emirates

Tadej Pogacar's Colnago V4Rs stands in an underground car park

  • Bikes : Colnago V4Rs, TT1 (TT)
  • Groupset : Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 Disc 12 Speed / Carbon-Ti chainrings and rotors
  • Wheels : Enve
  • Finishing Kit : Colnago

After a period of change where the team changed a lot of componentry and moved away from Campagnolo to Shimano they seem to have found an equipment setup they are happy to keep.

It looks like Pogacar and co will continue on Colnago V4Rs framesets, Dura-Ace groupsets and Enve wheels, complete with Continental tyres. Notably, the team have used Carbon Ti carbon chainrings and disc rotors and look to be doing the same next year from online training pictures.

Amazon is offering the  Hover-1 Altai Pro R500 e-bike (blue model) for  $954.46 shipped . Down from its regular $2,300 price tag, it wasn’t until early Christmas sales that we saw the price get taken down to $1,386, with most of the discounts we’ve seen in 2024 so far being on the other color schemes, except two – first to $1,138 in March and then further to the $922 low at the top of the month. Today’s deal comes in as a 59% markdown off the going rate, giving you $1,346 in savings and landing at the second-lowest price we have tracked. Its 20-inch fat tires help you traverse uneven terrain, and it has been outfitted with a headlight, taillight, and turn signals. It also comes decked out in an array of accessories: dual side mirrors, a phone storage bag, side and rear racks, two saddle bags, a rear mudguard, a triangular storage bag, and a folding lock.
