Taylor Swift Shared Secrets About Her 'Reputation' Tour & The Details Are Unreal

Taylor Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour officially kicks off tonight, May 8, in Arizona. For the 13 days leading up to the start of the tour, Swift has been posting behind-the-scenes looks and clues about the tour so fans can properly prepare their excitement for the experience. And these secrets from Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour will have Swifties everywhere freaking out and impatiently waiting for the tour to come to their hometown.

Swift has an obsession with the number 13 (she was born on Dec. 13, 1989, and used to draw the number on her hand for good luck during performances), so for the 13 days leading up to the Reputation Tour, she's been dropping huge hints about what fans can expect to see during the show. She started things off on April 25 by posting a photo of her at a dance rehearsal for the show saying, "13 days til Reputation Stadium Tour 💋." Before her 13-day countdown even started, she posted a photo of her and her tour dancers posing on a huge set of stairs that appears to be in their rehearsal space. She captioned the post, "Say hi to the reputation Stadium Tour dancers!! Been spending my days rehearsing with these overwhelmingly talented people. 28 DAYS TIL GLENDALE AZ." Now let's break down all of the clues in the Reputation Tour advent calendar.

The opening number is the favorite.

According to BuzzFeed, one of Swift's tour dancers revealed that the opening number for the show is their collective favorite to perform. "You're not going to be prepared for how you're going to feel," they said. "It's a must see."

Swift also revealed on her Instagram story on day 13 of the countdown that she'll be performing 10 songs from her old albums, although she didn't drop any hints about what those songs will be right then. "There will be 10 songs from previous albums," she said. "I'm really excited about playing stuff from Reputation , and really excited about playing songs from previous albums too." If you're a diehard "All Too Well," "Blank Space," or "Love Story" fan, you might be in luck.

There are three stages.

In one of her stories, Swift said there will be three stages in the show. One main stage which is apparently the biggest she's ever had, and two other stages that are set in the crowds and are about as big as her 1989 tour main stage.

Swift said on her Instagram story, "It's the biggest stage we've ever had. It's 110 feet tall and most of the B-stages that are out in the audience are pretty much just as big as the main stage was on the 1989 tour."

The main stage is 110 feet tall.

The days/last weeks leading up to any show are always spent running through the entire production day after day (assuming you've finished all the rehearsing you need to get done before you can run the show in its entirety), so Swift's rehearsals now just seem to be them drilling the entire show every day.

"Blank Space" may be a number.

Swift captioned an Instagram post , "Darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a.... girl rehearsing for her tour that starts in 9 DAYS." This could be a hint that she plans on singing "Blank Space" on the tour as one of the 10 songs from previous albums she'll be performing.

Swift has a "rocket sled."

Swift has been posting a lot of photos from both on top of and under the stage she's rehearsing on. She talked about what goes on under the tour's three massive stages on her Instagram story, revealing that she has a "rocket sled" that glides her from one stage to another.

She said on her Instagram story, "The rocket sled goes underneath the stage and takes me from one place really quickly to another. The stage is so big that we need that." But the video of her riding the rocket sled shows that it... does not move very fast. She could probably run from stage to stage faster than this sled moves, but hey, I'll give her tour points for the creative problem solving...?

The main stage is a big screen.

Swift also revealed on her Instagram story that the main stage is basically one giant screen that she and the dancers had to get used to performing on. She said,

It's got a video screen wall that's pretty seamless and continues down onto the floor. So everything that we walk on on the stage is a screen. It looks so cool from the upper sections of the stadium, but it's a little bit like walking on an optical illusion. We'll get used to it, I promise.

"New Year's Day" will be performed during the tour.

Swift posted a photo of her sitting at the tour's piano on May 4 with the caption, "I want your midnights... 4 days til Reputation Stadium Tour 💕." "I want your midnights" is a line from the song "New Year's Day," so fans can assume they'll be hearing that song performed during the concert.

She also gave the piano its own shout out on her Instagram story, saying "She's so PRETTY."

The caption on the second photo of the piano on her story said, "I'm playing this piano on 2 songs in the set - 1 new and 1 old." Based on the "I want your midnights" hint, I think it's more than likely that the one new song she'll be playing on this piano is "New Year's Day." She has a huge repertoire of songs to choose from that could easily be played on the piano, so TBD on what the "1 old" song will be.

Taylor's meet-and-greet area is called The Rep Room.

One of the most elaborate parts of the tour isn't even part of the show. Swift revealed the Rep Room on her Instagram story, which will serve as a meet and greet room after the show for a handful of lucky fans who will be selected to go back stage during the concert.

The Rep Room is decked out in Taylor Swift memorabilia from floor to ceiling and features a giant snake sculpture in the center.

The Rep Room also has a throne in it because of course. Swift said of the room,

There's always a room that we have backstage because during the show we pick people to come backstage afterwards to say hi. On the Red tour it was called Club Red, and for the 1989 tour we had Loft '89. This time it's the Rep Room. We'll be looking in all kinds of different ways to find people so I can meet them which I'm really excited about.

Try and get yourself noticed at the shows, Swifties! It just might mean you get to meet Swift once the show is over.

The rest of Swift's Instagram stories leading up to the tour have showed some sneak peaks into her costumes (most of theme involving sparkles, naturally), her various microphones she'll be using throughout the tour (there are seven and they're all shiny and elaborate), and she also has newspaper-themed confetti that says her name all over them that will apparently fly all over the audience.

Swift isn't messing around with these mics.

And last but not least, according to BuzzFeed, there will be a Reputation Tour rehearsals blooper reel playing on the screens in the stadiums as fans trickle out at the end of the show. Because if there's one thing Swift wants to make clear with this album, it's that she's down to make fun of herself.

One day before the tour starts: Swift posts a photo of her in Arizona where the first show on the tour is taking place.

Taylor Swift is doing better than she ever was, and her Reputation stadium tour is solid proof. The singer first embarked on her tour on May 8, and has been selling out stadiums ever since. While the concert lives up to her "big reputation" with extravagant performances, it's also a love letter to the dedicated Swifties who have stood by her through all the highs and lows. If you're thinking about attending the concert or you're just wondering what to expect, here are a few highlights.

When She Showcases Her Big Reputation

It's clear that Swift is taking control of the narrative with Reputation . Before she even hits the stage, Joan Jett sets the mood as her track "Bad Reputation" blares through the speakers. Following the song, the lights dim and a video montage plays on the screen documenting Swift's rise to fame. While it starts off with cute home videos of her playing the guitar, it quickly takes a dark turn with voiceovers reciting actual headlines about Swift's "big reputation" in the media. As the voiceovers grow, the camera pans up what looks like a snake's body before revealing it's actually Swift herself. As she slowly turns around, the video cuts to black and ". . . Ready For It?" begins playing.

When She Reveals That No, the Old Taylor Isn't Actually Dead

Swift is really taking the snake imagery up a notch for her Reputation stadium tour, but her performance of "Look What You Made Me Do" is another level entirely. In addition to a creepy intro video which features Swift taking the throne in a snakeskin jumpsuit, she also brings a huge inflatable snake on stage. Yes, really. So this might actually be one of the best moments of the whole concert. Where Is Taylor Swift’s Red Lip?

It’s a crucial part of the “Reputation” aesthetic.

If Taylor Swift loves one thing in this world (aside from her fans, of course), it’s easter eggs. She’s a mastermind (pun intended) and has been known to drop (Taylor’s Version) hints with her manicures, her clothing choices, and her makeup aesthetics. So, when she showed up to the 2023 VMAs in a black dress and with an eyeliner wing sharp enough to be considered a weapon, Swifties instantly lost their minds. 

Why? It’s a clear nod to her “Reputation” album, which is rumored to be the next re-release following 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October. Could she be announcing the drop later tonight? It remains to be seen, but a quick scan of social media proves that fans certainly think so. 

And, while I’m the last person that wants to put a damper on Swiftie excitement, I can’t help but call out that we’re missing a key “Reputation” era factor: The red lip. For those not familiar with Taylor’s beauty back-log, allow me to explain. The singer-songwriter loves a ruby lip. Her go-to is Pat McGrath’s LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Elson 4 . It’s been a staple on her Era’s tour and has been by her side for a large portion of her career. The red lip was especially relevant in her life during her "Reputation" era. 

Despite the missing feature, fans were quick to point out other outfit easter eggs. She wore a handful of necklaces to the music’s biggest night (five to be exact), which appears to be eerily similar to the “Reputation” album cover art. 

While rumors and hopes swirl among fans, it’s safe to say that the singer-songwriter has already had a successful night. She’s taken home the VMA for Song of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year, both for Anti-Hero. The song was featured on the Midnights album.

Taylor Swift’s Vast Lipstick Collection Goes Far Beyond Her Beloved Reds

But there’s plenty of that too.

Listen to enough Taylor Swift songs and certain motifs start to appear. There’s a lot of wistful longing, storybook imagery, dresses, some self-loathing, boys in cars, and rain — usually dancing, kissing, crying, or fighting in it — but lipstick references are deserving of their own distinct category. Since she adopted it as one of her trademarks back in 2012, she’s been synonymous with a singular shade of blood-red — but Swift’s favorite lipstick colors range far beyond just a classic crimson. Piece together some of her best-ever looks and you might find that the “Ivy” singer can get surprisingly versatile in the makeup department, shifting between dark, dramatic tones and feather-light nudes with enviable ease.

Just as her musical genres shift with each of the star’s assorted “eras”, she often adopts a new corresponding look that matches sound with aesthetic — and that includes her go-to lipstick colors. The loud-and-proud pinks of the Lover album cycle , for instance, stands in sharp opposition to the dark, vampy near-blacks she favored during Reputation . Of course, that’s to say nothing of her off-duty looks, which are usually just as unexpected as her eclectic wardrobe choices.

Hot Pink Lipstick

Throughout 2019’s Lover Era, Swift was regularly seen in the punchiest shades of hot pink, both on the red carpet and in her technicolor music videos. Ultra-bright colors were the name of the game, often in creamy finishes that reflected the jewels, crystals, sequins, and sparkles that adorned her event outfits all year long.

True Red Lipstick

Above all else, it’s critical that a bold red is immovable . Liquid lipsticks are the conventional choice, and Swift’s preferred pick comes straight from a fellow legend. Dame Pat McGrath has been doing the singer-songwriter’s makeup for a few years now using products from her best-selling line, including the LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick in shade Elson (sadly sold out at most retailers). It’s rumored that Swift even wears this shade on-stage at her Eras Tour concerts.

Oxblood Red Lipstick

When Swift took a hard left turn into a darker, more industrial sound with a vampy new persona to match in 2017, she traded in her bright reds for their deeper — dare I say cooler? — sisters. On-stage at the Reputation Stadium Tour, she of course favored a liquid lipstick again for its saying power, but this time in a rich shade of oxblood.

Peachy Nude Lipstick

Swift’s multi-year love affair with Mac’s Retro Matte Liquid Lip Color in Back In Vogue was immortalized in her Miss Americana documentary, in which fans see the star applying it herself. All good things must come to an end, though, and the shade was eventually discontinued. However, the brand’s Lady-Be-Good comes from the same line and is virtually identical — same warm, peachy-nude, same soft matte finish.

Glittery Lipstick

The deep, glittery lipstick Swift wore in the “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” music video was fans’ first hint that she was headed in a darker aesthetic — but no less glamorous — direction altogether. Impossibly shimmery even in low mood lighting, McGrath confirmed on Instagram that Swift was wearing her Lust 004 Lip Kit throughout the sultry video. Though the famously glittery sets are since discontinued, fans beg McGrath to bring them back to this day.

Pink-Toned Red Lipstick

Lo and behold, Swift was kind enough to let fans in on another exact lipstick match. Absolutely instrumental to her 1989 era was this appearance at the 2014 Met Gala, which she attended with then-bestie Karlie Kloss. In a since-deleted Instagram post shared to her Instagram, Swift uploaded a photo of herself applying the soft matte crayon-style lipstick.

Rusty Orange Lipstick

Call it a micro-tweak — trading in her usual scarlets for a punchy shade of bright orange instantly summer-fied Swift’s look when she hit the recording studio in June. Though more tropically-toned than her other lipsticks in rotation, note that this one is also a matte. She was spotted in the shade a few times throughout 2023, suggesting a newfound favorite.

Red-Black Lipstick

Seen here at the 2016 Met Gala, this is the darkest shade of lipstick Swift’s worn in public — it was also one of her most reached-for colors well into 2017. It appears as almost a true black at first glance, but you’ll quickly see the rich red just beneath, like a black cherry color.

Mod-Pink Lipstick

So many of Swift’s coolest makeup moments incorporate cool tones — makes perfect sense. To complement the shimmery platinum fishnet in her 2013 Grammys gown, Swift went for icy blue eye eyeshadow and a mod-pink lip lighter and brighter than most of the shades she wore that year. It’s a decidedly delicate switch-up that still resonates today.

Everything Taylor Swift Wore on the First Night of Her Tour

It's the moment every Taylor Swift fan has been waiting for: the start of her Reputation stadium tour. The singer officially kicked off the six-month journey in Arizona last night. (Don't pretend you didn't follow along on Instagram Stories.)

Naturally, she pulled out all the stops for her onstage costumes, including a rainbow-fringed minidress, a sequined bodysuit, a metallic hoodie, and more. She was also joined onstage by her opening acts, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello, who also wore some amazing looks. Celebrating 17 years of her genre-spanning music with tributes to the songs, costumes, and Easter eggs that have made her a global superstar, The Eras Tour is the first-ever tour to gross over $1 billion in revenue.

The tour has made Swift a billionaire and boosts the economies of every city it visits with an estimated $4.6 billion in US consumer spending connected to the concerts. Swift's opening shows in Glendale, Arizona, generated more local revenue than the Super Bowl.

Here are photos that capture some of the most memorable moments of The Eras Tour — so far. After completing legs in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Australia, and Singapore, Swift continues on to Europe this summer and circles back to the US in the fall.

Swift received a standing ovation after performing "Champagne Problems" in Nashville in May 2023.

She braved the pouring rain while performing in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Rapper Ice Spice joined Swift at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium to perform their "Karma" collaboration featured on a deluxe edition of Swift's 10th album, "Midnights."

To celebrate the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)," Swift brought out the koi-fish guitar from her Speak Now Tour to play "Long Live" in Kansas City, Missouri, in July 2023.

She also brought out Presley Cash, Joey King, and Taylor Lautner for the premiere of the "I Can See You" music video from "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)."

Haim opened for Swift and later joined her onstage at her shows in Santa Clara, California.

Thousands of fans' wristbands lit up in rainbow colors during the singer's "Lover" set in Inglewood, California, in August 2023.

During her "Fearless" set in Inglewood, Swift took a break from strumming her sparkly guitar to create a heart shape with her hands.

At the same show, Swift surprised fans with the news that "1989 (Taylor's Version)" would be available in October 2023.

When The Eras Tour came to Brazil in November, the famous Christ the Redeemer statue featured a message dedicated to the singer and Swifties who flew in from around the world.

A young fan traded friendship bracelets with Swift at a show in São Paulo.

She nailed the choreography in her "Reputation" era in Sydney in February.

The "Reputation" set also featured looks from Swift's past eras during "Look What You Made Me Do."

Opening act Sabrina Carpenter sang "White Horse" with Swift during the acoustic set in Sydney.

Wearing sparkling fringe jackets, Swift and her backup dancers took their final bows after performing in Melbourne, Australia.

Taylor Swift announced the first 27 tour dates of her Reputation   stadium tour via her Taylor Nation Twitter account early Monday (Nov. 13) morning. The tweet, captioned, “WE’LL SEE YOU SOON!” does not specify whether this is the entirety of the U.S. leg of the tour. 

Fans were also reminded to grab the album boost through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program in order to snag the best possible access to Reputation   Tour tickets.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
