Shogun Audio celebrate their 100th release with a massive Australian tour
- Drum & Bass , Local News , Trending
Shogun Audio will see their 100th release ‘Shogun-100’ on March 18th and are gearing up to celebrate the milestone worldwide. From March to June the label will be spinning out 4×4 track EPs from those on the label roster alongside special appearances from label associates and favourites. The Shogun-100 tour touches down in Australia and New Zealand beginning March features Shogun heavyweights Rockwell, Technimatic and Joe Ford who will no doubt be ready to party.
Rockwell (UK)
Touted as one of ‘Mixmag’s 2010 Players of the Year’ was just the beginning for Rockwell. One of the few producers in drum n bass who is permeating the impenetrable formula, London’s Rockwell was snapped up by Shogun Audio after releasing early tracks like ‘Underpass’ and ‘Reverse Engineering’. These early tracks were a glimpse of what was to come, with his debut EP ‘Full Circle/My War’ on Shogun tearing up dance floors across the dance floor and cementing him as one to watch. Rather than pay attention to what works on the dance floor, his attention to technicalities and sculpting sound designs s what makes his production so exciting. With remixes commissioned for DJ Shadow, Cash Money, Jose James and support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Rockwell continues to dominate the drum n bass scene.
Technimatic (UK)
Pete Rogers and Andy Powell started making music together back in 2008 as Technicolour & Komatic, and it’s not hard to see how Technimatic was borne. Inspiring basslines and emotional charged drum n bass has fast become the duo’s signature sound, with releases on n labels such as Critical, Hospital, SGN:LTD and even the seminal Good Looking with Technicolourâs own official remix of LTJ Bukemâs âMusicâ. Technimatic have received support from the likes of Friction, Annie Mac, Eddy Temple-Morris, Gilles Peterson, Mistajam and Rob Da Bank as well as high praise from Radio 1, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Ninja Tuneâs Solid Steel and Thump who ranked it in their top 50 albums of the whole year.
Joe Ford (UK)
Hailing from Harrogate UK, Joe Ford leads a new wave of producers currently changing the drum n bass game. Beginning his career with an impressive list of releases on Bad Taste, Med School, a Beatport dubstep chart no.1 with the ‘Mission’ EP on Caliber Music there was no surprise when Shogun swooped him up, adding him to one of the most impressive rosters around. Now having already released 3 EPs on Shogun, his most recent ‘All Of Us’ EP received a heavy rinsing with high praise and now with his very own radio show on the legendary Kiss Fresh FM Joe Ford is taking the world by storm. Datsik himself recently proclaimed “Joe Ford is the future” is proof enough that this young producer is only getting started, and the future is very exciting for Joe Ford and his fans.

Australia’s ShockOne announces third studio album âOrganism Algorithmâ plus announces AU/NZ âOrganism Algorithm’ Tour. Australian cultivator of bass ShockOne shares the exciting news that his third studio album âOrganism Algorithmâ will soon be dropping alongside the announcement of his forthcoming âOrganism Algorithmâ Tour. The album, slated for release via Dark Machine Records on the 23rd February 2024, is set to be a defining moment for ShockOne whose breadth of musical ability and epic live shows have seen him go from a pioneer of the drum & bass scene in Australia and New Zealand to growing his audience right around the globe. Featuring releases âFollow Meâ, âThinking Aboutâ with Lee Mvtthews, recent single âHigher Rushâ with Freaks & Geeks and more, ShockOneâs ability to craft everything from ethereal vocal numbers to nuanced rhythmic heaters is on full display throughout this suite of sweltering anthems. Available to pre-save here. Soon to be hitting the road around Australia and New Zealand, ShockOne will kick off his âOrganism Algorithmâ Tour on the 21st of February in Wellington, followed by dates in Auckland and Christchurch before he heads to Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and more. Joining him on some dates around Australia will be UK legends Charlie Tee, AC-13 and Issy Cross, plus local drum & bass producer on the rise Don Darkoe. Backing straight up, ShockOne then heads to the UK, taking the stage with Pendulum on their huge arena tour. Since the inception of ShockOne, he has built a dedicated audience of fans that have seen him perform at world renowned festivals including Let It Roll, Drop That, Liquicity, Rampage Open Air, Snow Machine, Spilt Milk, and more recently at Snack Festival in Perth, as well as his own national Dark Machine Warehouse tours. With the drop of âOrganism Algorithmâ ShockOne is set to have crowds heaving once more with his raw energy and explosive bass weapons. Speaking about the upcoming tour ShockOne says âHaving been out of Australia on tour for most of last year, it feels great to kick off 2024 by announcing my new album and an Australian headline tour. The Organism Algorithm tour is a completely new set full of new album material and I canât wait to get out there performing it.â Perth artist ShockOne, Karl Thomas, has cemented his position as a cornerstone of Australian dance music. Igniting his career with the drum and bass classic ‘Polygon’ taken from the debut ‘ShockOne EP’ released on Viper records, ShockOne has gone from strength to strength as he has honed and refined his sound. Off the success of his critically acclaimed debut album âUniversusâ in 2013, Karl relocated to London touring the album extensively throughout Europe and the UK, all the while producing a string of singles and remixes for the likes of DJ Snake, Dillon Francis, NGHTMRE & What So Not, to name a few. Non-stop on the move, ShockOne soon shared his sophomore album âA Dark Machineâ which saw significant streaming success, all before launching his own record label Dark Machine Records home to many of his own expertly crafted creations as well as a roster of forward thinking bass music artists. Now with the release of his third studio album âOrganism Algorithmâ, ShockOne continues to push the boundaries of bass. âOrganism Algorithmâ Tracklist: 1. ShockOne – Alone 2. Hiroyuki Sanada in FX's Shogun .
The sweeping historical epic has roared back with ShĹgun . The FX miniseries takes place beginning in 1600, in a fictionalized but historically inspired feudal Japan, where the previous ruler has died with an heir not yet old enough to be in power, and everything has become chaotic. ShĹgun has war, power struggles, violence, impossible love, beautiful naked people, and thorny questions about whose story it really is.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!
- Every day each car in Moscow metro passes more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
- Moscow subway system is the 5th in the intensity of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
- The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is 90 seconds .

Go beneath the streets on this tour of the spectacular, mind-bending Moscow Metro! Be awed by architecture and spot the Propaganda , then hear soviet stories from a local in the know. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.
Know More about this tour
We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

Traveler Reviews
This tour exceeded our expectations. Nikolai (Nick), our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great personality. He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.
We did the tour with Anna her knowledge and understanding of the History surrounding the metro brought the tour alive. Well done Anna!

When and Where to Stream the 'Shōgun' Series Finale
The captivating series will end this month.
FX's recent version of James Clavell's 1975 bestselling samurai epic, Shōgun , burst onto the scene with 9 million views for its first episode, according to Disney . But there are only two episodes left in the saga, and the series will be over -- unless you want to binge all 10 episodes.
Set in 1600 feudal Japan, the action-drama centers around marooned sailor John Blackthorne (played by Peaky Blinders star Cosmo Jarvis) and his rise from English outsider to samurai while being used as a pawn in Lord Yoshii Toranaga's struggle to reach the top of the country's ruling order.
Helmed by Justin Marks, whose credits include Top Gun: Maverick, alongside his wife Rachel Kondo, the 10-episode series also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, who served as the series' producer, as Toranaga. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters actress Anna Sawai plays mysterious Christian noblewoman Lady Mariko.
The new series marks the second time the novel has inspired a limited TV series, with a 1980 adaptation starring Richard Chamberlain, Toshiro Mifune and Yoko Shimada proving a huge worldwide hit.
To get your samurai fill, keep reading to see where to stream this much-anticipated new series and why a VPN could be a useful tool.

When and where to watch Shōgun
Shōgun debuted in the US on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and has two more episodes remaining that will air on April 16, with the finale dropping on April 23. You can stream it on Hulu in the US at 12 a.m. ET, and at 10 p.m. ET on FX's linear cable network on those dates. International viewers can watch on Disney Plus via the Star hub.
Because Shōgun is a limited series, a second season is not planned. All 10 episodes will be available to binge on April 23.
Last year, Disney implemented price increases on its ad-free plans for Hulu, but you can save if you stream with ads or choose a Disney Bundle, including a $20 ad-free package . Read more on how we tested Disney Plus' ad-supported tier and what to expect with the price hike .
Carries Shōgun series
Hulu is available in the US as a standalone subscription or as part of the Disney bundle. Prices start at $8 per month to stream with ads and there's a free trial available. Students may qualify for a discount that grants access for $2 a month. Read our Hulu review .
Watch Shōgun on a live TV streaming service
FX is also available in the US via streaming service Sling TV on its Blue tier subscription.
Sling TV Blue: $40 (in some markets $45)
Live TV streaming service Sling is designed to be a direct replacement for cable TV, with a wide range of linear channels on offer.
It offers two main different plans for the same $40 entry price: Sling Orange and Sling Blue. They share many of the same channels (like CNN, History and TNT) but others are exclusive to one or the other. In the case of FX, it's only available with the Sling Blue option.
For more info on what both options offer, check out the CNET Sling TV review .
How to watch Shōgun in the UK, Australia, Canada, Latin America
In the UK, Australia and Canada, the new Shōgun miniseries is available to stream exclusively on Disney Plus via the Star section of the streaming app. Viewers in Latin America can watch via Disney Plus or Star Plus.
Disney Plus
Carries shōgun in the uk, canada and australia.
The service is the exclusive home of Disney's massive back catalog while also giving you on demand access to the entire Marvel canon, every Pixar movie, plus National Geographic content.
In Canada, a Disney Plus subscription currently costs CA$8 a month for Standard with ads; or CA$15 a month or CA$150 a year for Premium.
In the UK, Disney Plus Standard is priced at £8 per month or £80 per year, and includes download functionality and no adverts. Disney Plus Premium costs £11 per month or £110 per year and allows you to stream on four devices at once, as well as in 4K and HDR, plus enhanced Dolby Atmos audio.
In Australia, the service essentially mirrors the two UK offerings, with the Standard tier priced at $14 a month or AU$140 for a year, while the Premium tier will set you back AU$18 a month or AU$180 for a year-long subscription.
How to watch Shōgun from anywhere with a VPN
Perhaps you're traveling abroad and want to stream Shōgun while away from home. With a VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to episodes from anywhere in the world. There are other good reasons to use a VPN for streaming too.
A VPN is the best way to encrypt your traffic and stop your ISP from throttling your speeds. Using a VPN is also a great idea if you're traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network and want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins. Streaming TV can be a bit smoother with a reliable, quality VPN that's passed our tests and security standards.
You can use a VPN to stream content legally, as long as VPNs are allowed in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you're using. The US, UK, Australia and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we advise against streaming or downloading content on illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN, but you may opt for another provider from our best list , such as Surfshark or NordVPN.
At this point we'll add the proviso that for US residents, Hulu notoriously doesn't play well with VPNs, which may impact watching Shōgun on the service from abroad.
Best VPN for streaming
ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It's normally $13 a month, and you can sign up for ExpressVPN and save 35% -- the equivalent of $8.32 a month -- if you get an annual subscription.
ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Follow the VPN provider's instructions for installation and choose a country where Shōgun will be streaming on Disney Plus. Before you open the streaming app, make sure you're connected to your VPN using your selected region. If you want to stream the TV show on more than one device, it's possible you'll need to configure each one to ensure you're signed in. Go to settings and check your network connections to verify you're logged in and connected to your VPN account. Now you're ready to open Disney Plus to stream.
If you run into issues with streaming, first make sure your VPN is up and running on its encrypted IP address. Double-check that you've followed installation instructions correctly and you've picked the right geographical area for viewing. If you still encounter connection problems, you may need to reboot your device. Close all apps and windows, restart your device and connect to your VPN first. Note that some streaming services have restrictions on VPN access.
