Two pints of cool.
Absolutely hilarious and honest pair I have ever heard from the cool guys!! Much love from the US of A 🍻 Update 12/03/2022: But, I am very concerned about Will and Ralf because Ralf went silent since late August and their friendship and the fate of the podcast. I hope all is well between them, because I am honestly worried sick about this. Because they got such wonderful chemistry together and I absolutely love The Two Pints Podcast and I wish they are still friends and I am looking forward for Series 4. 🙌 And yes, I copied and pasted this everywhere to Will & Ralf themselves as I can so as fans, we all deserve to know of what has happened. If there is drama involved behind closed doors (my gosh I hope not), well Will & Ralf, if you guys are reading this, please remember that your fans love you guys and the podcast so much and you guys are so loved that you guys made a lot of people go through the COVID pandemic and through other uncertain times with smiles on their faces and made them laugh till they cry. Even you guys made my mental health improve a lot this year because you guys care a lot about others who go through difficult times and you care a lot about your fans. Please consider that I am autistic and I have very bad anxiety and I do really consider the podcast a safe place for me to enjoy life and become much more lively, and I cannot imagine how my life would be without it. Please, please, please remember this message from now on if you guys are in situations like this again. Please remember that we all love you guys, and nothing bad happen to you both. Ralf, I am looking forward for Series 12 of Death in Paradise next year and Will, you and Nancy have got to win Strictly Come Dancing. And for you both and the podcast, I am definitely looking forward for series 4, you cool guys. 🥹🥲
Stop thinking, start downloading!!!
Hearing these 2 chatting away, brings back so many memories of my younger years. Thank you so much Ralph and Will for putting smiles back on our faces, especially right now through Covid-era. 💙FANTASTIC PODCAST💙
A Bad Review for a Great Show
Don’t get it twisted, this review isn’t a scathing take on a problems with a bad show, but rather, a poorly written good review of a show I enjoy. I think you’ll enjoy it, too. I was only a casual fan of the TV show when I found it in the mid-2000s, being an American and only having access to it via dubious download. Since then, I’ve purchased a region free DVD player that’s only purpose has been rewatch a series that I love. This podcast is great for two reasons. The hosts have a friendly relationship and hearing them banter back and forth feels incredibly genuine. There is also a depth and range of emotion that is refreshing. You’ll piss yourself laughing when Ralf is incredulous about Will’s take on aliens, and have a nice little cry when Will talks about his dad. Of all the things going on in the world today, this podcast is very much worth your time. So stop reading this and click “play”, ya knob.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, popstars in the world right now will be releasing a brand-new album this Friday, and there’s a dedicated listening party happening in Manchester especially for the occasion.
Yes, we’re of course talking about Taylor Swift .
In case you aren’t a Swiftie, or you just generally weren’t aware, Taylor Swift announced back in early February that she would be unleashing her eleventh studio album , titled The Tortured Poets Department , on the world on 19 April.
Just like anything the 34-year-old singer-songwriter does, the surprise announcement of the new album – which is a follow-up to her 2022 critically-acclaimed and GRAMMY award-winning album, Midnights – pretty much broke the internet when it happened, and her dedicated fans have been counting down the days ever since.
Now, after months of eagerly waiting, the big day is finally happening this Friday, and in a bid to properly mark what a massive day it will be, one popular Manchester venue has decided to host a dedicated listening party , so that Swifties can unite under one roof and celebrate the special occasion together.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)
Fairfield Social Club (FSC) which has recently opened its doors in the heart of Manchester city centre , is inviting fans to “gather with your closest Swifties” and head on down to its Green Quarter venue this Friday for a night that’s “dedicated to Tay Tay and her legacy”.
Not only will you get to hear The Tortured Poets Department in full from start to finish surrounded by dozens of fellow fans, but there’ll also be a bunch of other Swift-themed activities too.
These include a Taylor Swift pub quiz with questions to all about her life and groundbreaking career to test your knowledge, friendship bracelet-making sessions, and just the chance to share the love and swap stories with other Swifties.
If all of that didn’t sound brilliant enough as it is, there’s also set to be a selection of themed cocktails to sip whilst you spend time ruminating on what Taylor meant in the lyrics of her songs only released a few hours prior.
Oh, and the best bit? FSC promises there “won’t be a Scooter Braun in sight” on the night.
- You can now take a university course on Taylor Swift
- Eurovision 2024 final to be screened live in cinemas across Greater Manchester
- Taylor Swift and The 1975’s Matty Healy are reportedly ‘no longer romantically involved’
The Tortured Poets Department Listening Party is taking over Fairfield Social Club this Friday 19 April from 7pm right through until 10pm – with tickets now on sale setting you back just £6 each, and already selling fast.

Smash-hit musical Kinky Boots is heading out on a tour of the UK next year, and the talented cast will be stopping off here in Manchester.
The Broadway and West End phenomenon, which is based on a true story and is an adaptation of a 2005 film of the same name, has become known and loved by musical theatre fans all across the globe since its stage debut back in 2012, and has scooped up several Tonys, Olivier Awards, and GRAMMYs along the way.
And now, it’s set for a revival starring Strictly Come Dancing ‘s Johannes Radebe, and the production will be touring the UK and Ireland from January 2025.
Kinky Boots The Musical features a score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, and this new production will be directed by Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster – who has famously helmed productions of The Wizard of Oz and Billy Elliot , to name a few – as well as starring the fan-favourite Strictly pro as Lola, alongside and rising star Dan Partridge as Charlie Price.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the Kinky Boots story, here’s brief rundown.
After inheriting his family’s failing shoe factory and with a relationship on the rocks, life is proving to be very challenging for Charlie Price, but that is until he meets Lola – a drag queen whose “sparkle and unsteady heels” might just hold the answer to saving the struggling business.
The 2025 revival production is already being billed as “guaranteed to raise you up” and “celebrate everybody’s individuality” when it arrives here in Manchester next February.

“I’m so excited that audiences will get to see it again, in a new production, as it’s like a happy pill, and we could all use some of that right now, so I can’t think of a better time or place to relaunch this special show in its place of origin.”

We Spoke to Will Mellor Ahead of his Two Pints Podcast Live at Royal Concert Hall
Later this month Will Mellor and Ralf Little are coming to Nottingham with their highly successful comedy tour, Two Pints Podcast live. We sat down for a sneak preview from Will…
So, Will, what can audiences expect on the night? We want people to come out, forget their problems, have a few drinks with me and Ralph, and have fun. It's audience participation. We have a format for the show. We always encourage people to send in any funny stories they've got. Or you can ask us any agony aunt questions, if you want help with any issues you might be going through. But it always leads into some hilarious banter. And we also get people on stage, and have a bit of a pub quiz where you can win really rubbish prizes. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Two Pints show.
And how did the tour come about? We started our podcasts in 2020, during lockdown. Nobody could get to the pub. There were a lot of people messaging me, saying will you bring Two Pints back, you know, the show where you guys live it up. Obviously getting all the cast together was tough. But I said to Ralph, we should do something. A podcast came to mind. We could chat like we used to as Gaz and Jonny: sit at a table, have a couple of beers, and talk about anything and everything.
So, the podcast started. And people really enjoyed it. The podcast did so well, people wanted to come to see it live. And yeah, we did the first tour. We were shocked by how big it went. It sold out completely. People really enjoyed it. Especially because it was just after lockdown. We all really needed a good night out. So, forget about your problems and have some fun with us.
We all really needed a good night out. So, forget about your problems and have some fun with us.
You and Ralph have been friends for a long time. Do you ever fight? Yeah, of course we do. We argue a lot. We're very different. I see the world one way and he sees it another way. But that's why it works. If we were too similar, the podcast wouldn't work. You know, he's very different to me. He was studying to be a doctor at one point before he got into comedy. And yeah politically, he has his views. Whereas I'm very much a live and let live guy. That's my attitude to life. So, when we come together, we make each other laugh and make each other smile and it just works. Brilliant.
How do you prepare for the tour? Yeah, every show is different because we invite anybody who's got funny stories to send them in. So, when we're in Newcastle or Manchester or Nottingham or wherever, we choose a few and we call them out. We say, well, this is a story from James, he had a bad night out on a stag do. And this is what happened. And we tell the story, so everyone's included, and then we play games. It looks like organised chaos, but there is a structure to what we do. We want people to come and just feel a part of it. And yeah, I'm happy to talk about anything and everything, such as things that have happened on that day. So, everything is local to the show where we are at that time. The audience is different, the stories are different and the reactions to certain things that we do are different. But the format stays the same. And there’s the hilarity from bringing people up on stage. As soon as you get people on stage, anything's possible!
What advice would you give anyone aspiring to get into acting? I would just say if it's something that you want to do, find a way to do it. You don't have to be on screen to be an actor, you could go and find your local theatre, and there's amateur dramatics everywhere. Acting has got levels, same as being a footballer or a singer. Or you can go and sing down the local pub, if you want to sing. You don't have to be in the charts. Because you know, if you don't do what you're here to do, you'll never be happy. Live your dreams.
What's next for Will Mellor after the tour? Well, I've got a four-part drama that I'm shooting. I can't really tell you what it is because we're not allowed to at the moment. I also did a series called Cops Who Kill last year. And every episode was a true case of a police officer killing somebody. And the new series is called Cops Gone Bad . The first episode is about David Carrick who was one of the UK’s biggest serial rapists and sex offenders. And he was a police officer. And he was actually in the same unit as Wayne Couzens. There were loads of red flags that were all ignored. So, my show is looking at how we stop these people slipping through the net. And how can we improve on recruitment to make sure these people getting this badge are deserving of it and not going to abuse their power and the trust of the public? So yeah, I'm very passionate about the series. And then, I'm hosting a documentary about the post office scandal too, meeting the people affected. I’ve just played one of the real people, Lee Castleton, in the TV drama Mr Bates Versus The Post Office . So yeah, there's loads going on!
