Attraction requirements.

Guest experience: Approx. 20 minutes Capacity: 506 persons (including 5 spaces for wheelchairs/ECVs)-->

◆Special Effects Fog, smoke, strobes, loud sounds, pitch black ※Persons with conditions aggravated by these special effects cannot use this attraction.

◆Guests who should not use the attraction -The following special effects are used. -Guests who suffer from conditions that could be aggravated by the special effects listed below will not be admitted. Fog/smoke/Strobes/loud sounds/pitch black -Guests with health conditions that may be aggravated by these effects

◆ Guests requiring manual or motorized wheelchairs -Those with manual or motorized wheelchairs may enter the attraction area in their chairs. -Guests using manual or motorized wheelchairs should see an attendant for assistance. The attraction crew will take you to the viewing area. Please note that seats in the viewing area are limited. * A companion may be required in cases of emergency. * For details, please refer to "Guests who require a manual or motorized wheelchair" (in Japanese) .

◆Guests with Service Dogs - Your Service Dog may accompany you at the attraction. Guests with Service Dog should see an attendant for assistance. - Due to special effects, the crew will provide an explanation of precautions before using the attraction. - The crew will take you to the designated space for wheelchairs. Please note that seats in the viewing area are limited. * For details, please refer to "Guests with Service Dogs" (in Japanese).

◆Guests requiring supervising companions - Guests that may experience difficulty following emergency procedures - Guests with impaired vision

◆Guests who require an escort (one who is mentally/physically healthy, of high school age or older, and meets our usage requirements) - Guests who require special help during an emergency - Guests with other disabilities are asked to consult a crew member.

◆Notes on viewing - For your safety, please follow the instructions given by the crew. Additionally, guests who engage in violent or otherwise troublesome behavior will be asked by the crew to leave the park. - In the event of an emergency, follow the instructions of the crew to evacuate. - Photography or video recording within the premises is prohibited. - Eating or drinking within the premises is prohibited.

◆ In case of emergency - The attraction crew will provide an explanation regarding evacuation in the event of an emergency. *A companion may be required in case of evacuation.

SING on Tour is a live show at Universal Studios Japan that's based on the Illumination franchise, SING .

Guest join the superstars from Illumination’s SING—Buster Moon, Meena, Rosita, Gunter, Johnny and Ash. The story starts at the Japanese premiere of “SING ON TOUR,” led by Show Director Buster Moon. With the theater’s inaugural show, guests will sing and dance with their favorite characters as they come to life.

“Sing on Tour” Opens April 18, 2019, at Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan’s new Sing On Tour show will debut on April 18, 2019 . The “live show” will feature Buster Moon the koala and the stars of Sing performing pop songs from the hit movie.

The new Illumination Theatre will use new cutting-edge lighting and animatronics, alongside live performers, to bring the characters to life. Check out the TV ad for the show.

Spring 2019 is a great time to visit Universal Studios Japan, with the arrival of  Sing On Tour, as well as the Hogwarts Magical Celebration projection show and the Universal Easter Celebration .

Universal Studios Japan announces Sing On Tour show

Universal Studios Japan has announced a new project in partnership with Illumination for a musical attraction with songs and characters from the movie Sing.

Sing On Tour will be located in “Minions Park”, the largest Minion Park in the world, beginning spring 2019. The stars of the film break through the two dimensional world to sing the hit songs from the movie in a dramatic live show.

The show attraction will be performed in the world’s first Illumination Theater, equipped with leading edge production quality.

Sing was released in 2016 and follows a group of anthropomorphic animals that enter a singing competition, hosted by a koala who is trying to save his theater. A sequel is scheduled for 2020.

In January, Universal Studios Japan announced four new attractions to open from spring 2018, including the world-first “UNIVERSAL SPECTACLE NIGHT PARADE: The Best of Hollywood”.

Located in Osaka, Universal Studios Japan  reported record attendance  last financial year. 14.6 million people visited the park, an increase of 700,000 in the previous year. By contrast, admissions to Tokyo’s two Disney parks fell by 0.6 percent to a just over 30 million.

This year, the results took a hit as a result of a number of extreme weather events.

“Sing on Tour” is a new, permanent live show inspired by the joyous jukebox of a film, “Sing.” The musical talent contest takes center stage again at Universal Studios Japan in a brand-new theater, jointly designed with the movie’s producers Illumination.

Teruyoshi Uchimura, voice-over actor from the Japanese version of the movie, returns to reprise his role as theater manager Buster Moon for “Sing on Tour.” This time, the animated stars will step out of the screen onto the stage to belt out some of the movie’s best songs in real life.

“Sing” topped the box office in Japan in 2017, bringing in 5 billion yen. A much-anticipated sequel to the hit movie, written and directed by Garth Jennings, is in the pipeline for 2021.
