Although we noted a few minor compromises, we feel these could easily be justified when looking at some of the many pros this pushchair offers.

Things we love, things to look out for, our verdict.

As Venicci's most lightweight and compact travel system at the time, the original Tinum had many parent friendly features in a contemporary styling. Back with the Tinum 2.0, Venicci have added some key new features, while retaining a lot of the function and style parents loved from the original.

Looking at the carrycot we are greeted with the first changes. Now approved for occasional overnight sleeping, the spacious carrycot is lined with a beautiful quilted fabric. Soft to the touch, it presents a very comfy space for little ones to nap in.

The hood offers UPF50+ protection with a ventilated panel at the back and a zipped extension, offering full coverage to protect little one from the elements. This is a nice feature that is not offered in a lot of carrycots and may eliminate the need for a parasol. There is also a new panoramic ventilation system on the carrycot. With two zips to operate, the panel near the baby's head can either be folded down or up, or removed entirely. Great for those warmer days to offer air flow through the carrycot, it also gives younger babies a chance to see the world around them without yet sitting up.

Taking the carrycot off the chassis is done by operating a trigger on both sides. Being so lightweight at just 4.4kg, this is not difficult to do. You can then carry it with the handle integrated into the hood.

Moving onto the seat unit, which itself is approved for use from birth, we are greeted with another well sized unit. Offering a nice wide seat and an extending footrest we can see how the unit is going to suit a growing toddler.

The hood again gives UPF50+ protection and extends to give full coverage to the seat in all positions. There is another ventilated panel, which doubles as your peep window when the seat is world facing.

There are three recline positions which can be adjusted with the one hand recline lever at the top of the seat. With a spring loaded auto lock mechanism, it just requires a simple push to move the seat back into a more upright position, particularly helpful when presented with a weightier passenger.

The seat can remain in place when folding the pushchair, either parent or world facing. Using the recline lever, the seat back is simply aligned with the handle, the footrest folded up, then the chassis is folded as normal. Great for parents on the go!

The aluminium alloy chassis is lightweight and compact when folded. Operated with just one hand, the chassis folds simply with a push of a button and a twist of a handle. Located in the middle of the pushchair the folding mechanism can be easily operated with either hand, then doubles up as a carry handle. There is also a handy strap which can be used to pop the system on your shoulder for even easier transport. We did find it best to have the handle down in the lowest position to prevent bumping it on the floor and to ensure achieving the most compact fold possible. This is easy to alter with a telescopic adjustment operated with a button in the middle of the handle bar.

The handle has a great range suiting parents of varying heights to push. The solid puncture proof wheels are all quick release and the front two can be locked in the forward facing position to make navigating rougher surfaces much easier. The basket has also been improved with a zipped rear panel that can be used to extend your storage space.

We loved the carrycot interior fabrics. Soft to the touch, beautifully quilted and easily removable, we feel the only feature they lacked was the ability to be machine washed. Though this could easily be resolved with a carrycot sheet. When removing the carrycot from the chassis, we also found there were a couple of things to note. The hood, ideally, needs to be in the upright position to access the handle which itself is only accessible from one side due to the zipped sun visor at the front. We did not find this to be an issue, just a step we felt worth noting for ease of use. 

The seat itself is a great size and easy to operate on the pushchair. However when adjusting the harness height, we did have to remove the seat fabric completely. It was not the easiest access to adjust for our bigger tester, though this is something you will generally only do once. We also found that when the seat is in a world facing position, and the handle is in the lowest setting, it is not able to recline. This is an issue few parents will suffer from but the telescopic handle adjustment does quickly resolve it. The seat itself is also a little low when on the chassis. Venicci do offer carrycot height adjusters, though we feel for taller parents it may be nice to have this option for the seat unit also.

The last thing we would note about the Tinum 2.0 is that there is no lock on the folded chassis. Although lightweight, we did find manoeuvring the pushchair with the seat unit attached into the boot required just a little focus to ensure the chassis did not open up. With continued use, we leant the best places to hold the chassis to prevent this from happening though we still feel a lock would be a simple solution to this. 

The Venicci Tinum 2.0 is a great travel system option for those looking for both practicality and design. With some very useful features, the Tinum 2.0 gives parents a compact and lightweight travel system option with a very contemporary feel and reasonable price. We love the one handed fold mechanism and lightweight frame which makes travelling with a child, and everything that comes with them a lot easier. The ability to fold with the seat on is a feature we know many parents would appreciate.

Testing the Upline 3in1 + Isofix Base Travel System

This is a great travel system for towns and cities. It was really easy to put together with clear instructions and it’s easy and quick to interchange the different components. The pushchair and bassinet are great, folding down nice and small so that they fit easily even in a small car such as a Fiesta, with a bit of room to spare!

The pushchair is lightweight, sturdy, really easy to manoeuvre with a small turning circle, and good suspension. Careful consideration has been given for the need for shade for all three components of the travel system with little extras provided such as an extendable hood for the pushchair, an incorporated snooze shade for the bassinet and a large hood for the car seat.

One of the real bonuses for us of this Venicci Upline Travel System is that the seat of the pushchair can be used from the newborn age. It is also really handy that the car seat has isofix incorporated into it, so that the car seat can be securely fitted into many a vehicle without the need of a base.

I LOVE this pram! It's gorgeous and feels super high quality and designer. The fabrics are beautiful, it's baby attachment is gorgeous and padded and perfect for a new-born and the toddler seat is brilliant too with lots of different declines. the build quality is brilliant and it feels like a quality well engineered bit of kit.

The Venicci Upline 3in1 + Isofix Base Travel System offers convenience and safety benefits. In terms of convenience, the 3in1 travel system typically includes a car seat, a stroller, and a carrycot, offering versatility and convenience. You can easily switch between these components depending on your needs. It is also stylish, and would suit most interiors.

Really like the look and quality of this travel system. Looks upmarket compared to many other brands and has some unique features, eg attachable nappy bag and flap under the stroller that you can put down when putting items in then lift up to secure them in place. Both the bassinet and stroller attachments are sturdy and car seat is comfortable and safe.

You are able to put the seat in world and parent facing mode. This was helpful for my child who has always enjoyed a world facing view. It has made putting my child in the travel system a lot smoother as he enjoys facing outwards. The travel system seems to have large wheels which would make it good for lots of terrains although I have yet to try this.

Ideal for city living. Folds down small so takes up less space than other prams we have tried. So easy to push either child (8 months and 3 years) and easy to adjust the strap with a slide mechanism, so can do it on the move or with a baby in the carrier. Managed surprisingly well in dog walking parks across the grass. Basket isn’t huge but big enough for a change bag and a couple of coats.

Venicci Pure 2.0

The Venicci Pure 2.0 is a 2021 second generation of the original Venicci Pure . This robust, elegantly styled pram with diamond stitching is best suitable for shorter parents. The Pure 2.0 differs from the first-generation Gusto  primarily in the wheel area. The renewed wheels are thinner, maintenance-free, covered with rubber, and have new, cleaner-looking, airier wheel rims. Small detail tweaks were introduced as well - magnetic closures on the apron, a more streamlined look of the seat unit, and a renewed nappy bag design. Another difference can be found in the folding system, where two pull-up levers on the push bar were changed for two push, more traditional-looking levers instead. Fewer rivets were used on the newer Pure 2.0 frame compared to the original one.

The Pure 2.0 can normally be bought as a 2in1 or a 3in1 from-birth system. It includes a roomy, foldable, and inclinable bassinet, a reversible lie-flat seat unit, and the optional car seat with Maxi-Cosi/Cybex style of attachment (a matching Venicci, or a better-known car seat brand models are compatible). A set of accessories (aprons, rain covers, mosquito nets, nappy bag, cup holder, car seat adapters, and back wheels covers) is included with the pram set as well.

The Pure 2.0 is primarily suitable for shorter, undemanding parents that need something simple and substantial for bumpy roads while hoping for an elegant look and a nice price.

How Moscow is getting rid of its traffic jams

Moscow traffic is really overloaded, so the authorities spare no effort trying to improve the city's infrastructure

If you’ve never been to the Russian capital, you’ve never experienced a true traffic jam. Hours spent in the car on the way home, moving at a snail’s pace, people angrily honking their horns – it really is rather depressing.

Despite the fact President Vladimir Putin and Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin usually skip the bottlenecks by jumping into their helicopters or having their chauffeurs driving special lanes, they are trying to solve the traffic problem.

“We are implementing a project aimed at developing Moscow as a transport hub, which includes roads, railroads, and the metro,” Sobyanin stated during his meeting with Putin on Nov. 15.

Station to station

The authorities are focusing on the city’s rail system and working with the state-owned Russian Railways company. In 2016 they opened the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), an urban line that connected relatively remote districts of the capital to reduce pressure on the underground system. Around 400,000 people use the MCC daily – that’s almost 150 million passengers a year.

Now that the MCC is up and running, the city hall is launching a new project called Moscow Central Diameters, which will build overground railway lines connecting towns in the Moscow region.

“Now suburban railways go to stations and stop there – these are dead ends in fact,” Sobyanin explained. He says connecting railways in the city will make the infrastructure more efficient. For instance, one of the new diameters will connect Odintsovo (26 km west of Moscow) and Lobnya (40 km north) with a direct line.

According to Oleg Belozerov, the president of Russian Railways, the new line will service 43 million passengers a year, cutting the journey time from Odintsovo to Lobnya in half. Tourists will also benefit: After the project is completed, it will only take an hour to travel from one airport to another, which is great if you need to change for a connecting flight.

The first two diameters, which will bear 30 percent of the whole project, are expected to be finished by the middle of 2019. As for the rest, Sobyanin says it will take up to five years to implement the whole project. In total, it should provide 300 million people with quicker transport.
