Moscow Tourist Bus

Discover the different routes and stops of Moscow's tourist bus and explore the city comfortably enjoying panoramic views of its main monuments.

Routes & stops

The Moscow sightseeing bus has two routes with 46 stops around the main tourist areas of the Russian capital , throughout which you can enjoy recorded commentary in English about the places you are passing through and the city's history .

Some of the unmissable stops for the Moscow bus are: Kropotkinskaya metro station, the  Pushkin Fine Art Museum , the Red October factory and the Alexander Gardens. And of course, no trip to Moscow would be complete without getting off at Red Square to explore the heart of Moscow, admire the Kremlin , St Basil's Cathedral , and the Moscow River.

• Routes and stops on the Moscow bus .
• The ticket with 2-day validity costs € 33 ( US$ 35.20) for adults and € 30 ( US$ 32) for children between 7 and 13 years old. The bus ticket for children under 7 years old costs € 16 ( US$ 17.10).

Operating times & frequency

• Red line : from 10 am to 6 pm, every 20 minutes. The whole route lasts an hour.
• Green line : from 10 am to 6 pm, every 40 minutes. The whole route lasts two hours.

Update situation in Zermatt

24.06.2024, 14.45 hrs

Zermatt has been accessible again since Saturday evening. The natural events over the weekend have led to some property damage and require clearing work in certain places.

However, the destination's overall tourism offering is only affected in certain areas. Zermatt is safe and able to react to natural events as the situation requires, so that people can move around the destination without hesitation.

We warmly welcome our guests for the upcoming summer season.

Traffic routes

Access to Zermatt requires a little more time and patience. We thank you for your understanding.

Hiking trails

The Zermatt - Edelweiss - Trift trail will remain closed indefinitely. Edelweiss can be reached via Hubel - Schmids Baum.

Trift can be reached via Schweifinen.

Hohbalm is currently not accessible.

Paths that are closed for an indefinite period:

• Edelweiss - Trift
• Railroad path
• Zmutt to Chalbermatte
• Schönbielhütte
• Riffelalp - Schweigmatten - Furi area

The list is not exhaustive, the exact situation is still being recorded.

The Täsch-Zermatt road will open on Monday, 24.06.2024 at 02.00 am.

The Lüegelti transfer point is not available at the moment.

Current information

23.06.2024, 12:00 noon

Public transport (train/bus):

Access to Zermatt by public transport (train and rail replacement bus) has been guaranteed again since yesterday evening, 22 June.

The departure times for journeys from Zermatt to Visp or vice versa correspond to the times according to the SBB timetable.

Shuttle trains are running between Zermatt and Täsch. Rail replacement buses will run between Täsch and Visp.

Due to the limited capacity of the rail replacement service (rail replacement buses) between Täsch and Visp, there may be longer waiting times in Täsch and Visp.

The train tickets purchased (Zermatt to Visp or vice versa) are also valid for the rail replacement bus.

The duration of the restriction is indefinite.

Zermatt to Täsch road:

The road between Zermatt and Täsch will remain closed until further notice.

Roads in town:

Schluhmattstrasse will remain closed to vehicles until further notice. A diversion will be set up for pedestrians.

The Triftbachstrasse (Haus Spirit - Triftbachhalle - Vispa) will also remain closed until further notice.

The road from Zermatt to Furi is now open. However, journeys should be kept to a minimum.

Other areas remain closed, please respect the barriers.

e-bus service:

The e-bus service will resume normal operation tomorrow. The stops on the Winkelmatten line "Schluhmatte" and "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" will not be served.

Rail replacement capacity

23.06.2024, 11:00 hrs

Due to the limited capacity of the rail replacement service between Täsch and Visp, there may be longer waiting times in Täsch and Visp today

22.06.2024, 21.45 hrs

The Zermatt Shuttle between Täsch and Zermatt has been running according to schedule again since 19:55. Replacement buses are running between Visp and Täsch until further notice. The road between Täsch and Zermatt remains closed.

e-bus service

The e-bus service remains suspended on Sunday.

22.06.2024, 18.30 hrs

Shuttle trains run between Zermatt and Täsch from 8.00 pm. Replacement buses run from Täsch to Visp. Please check your connections in Visp before departure. There is NO accommodation available in Visp.

The road between Täsch and Visp will be open again from 8.00 p.m.

Roads in town

Schluhmattstrasse will remain closed to vehicles until Monday; a diversion will be set up for pedestrians.

Triftbachstrasse (Haus Spirit - Triftbachhalle - Vispa) will remain closed.

Other areas remain closed, please observe the barriers.

• Journeys should be kept to a minimum.

The situation will continue to be assessed. Barriers must be respected. The road to Furi will remain closed until further notice.

Opening of the Täsch - Zermatt rail shuttle

22.06.2024, 17.15 hrs

At 05.50 p.m, the first shuttle train will run between Täsch and Zermatt. This train is reserved exclusively for public transport passengers .

Departure by car or private coach from Täsch is only possible from 08:00 p.m (police roadblock!).

This is because the buses travel in convoy to Visp. The regular train shuttle from Täsch to Zermatt opens at 20:00, including train replacement between Täsch and Visp. From this time, all other guests continuing their journey from Täsch by private car or coach can also use the shuttle, and from tomorrow, Sunday, the trains and rail replacement buses will run again according to the timetable. Please note that there is NO accommodation available in the Visp region.

Current traffic information

22.06.2024, 15.45 hrs

• The Täsch - Zermatt rail shuttle will open at 20.00 hrs. Rail replacement buses will then run from Täsch to Visp.
• The road between Täsch and Visp is being prepared.
• The road between Zermatt and Täsch will remain closed.

We ask our guests not to come to the station for the time being. Thank you for your understanding.

The opening of the Täsch-Zermatt rail shuttle is in preparation. The Täsch - Visp rail replacement is also in preparation.

The time of opening will be communicated as soon as possible.

We ask guests to wait until departure if possible to avoid waiting times in Täsch.

• The railroad line between Visp and Zermatt is still interrupted due to storm damage. No replacement transportation is possible.
• The Gornergrat Bahn is suspended due to storm damage.

The next assessment of the situation will take place at approx. 15:00.

Zermatt is still cut off on all traffic routes.

• The Täsch - Zermatt road remains closed. Next information will follow at approx. 11.30 am.
• The cantonal road Stalden - St. Niklaus will be reopened to traffic from 08.30 am. Other sections will remain closed.
• Interruption between Visp and Zermatt due to danger of flooding. Trains on the R40, RE41 and RE42 lines are canceled. No replacement transportation. Next information will follow at approx. 11.30 am

21.06.2024, 18:30 hrs

Zermatt is cut off via all traffic routes. 

• The Täsch - Zermatt road will remain closed overnight. Next decision on this tomorrow Saturday morning.
• The Stalden-St. Niklaus cantonal road will be open and passable for 1.5 hours until 8 pm. It will then be closed again and will remain so until at least Saturday morning. The next decision will be made on Saturday morning at around 8 am.
• Service disruption between Visp and Zermatt due to flood risk. The trains on lines R40, RE41 and RE42 are canceled. No replacement service. .

Water alarm

21.06.2024, 17:10 hrs

A new escalation level has been reached in Zermatt with the water alarm with immediate effect. By order of the authorities, the population must go into closed rooms immediately . The roads must remain clear. Residents living on the first floor near the stream are asked to move to higher floors immediately.

Please implement this order immediately and move to appropriately safe buildings. This order is valid until further notice.

Anthony Vaccarello finally figured out how to reproduce his collection of ultra-sheer pantyhose dresses. Bella Hadid hit Cannes in look seven from the Saint Laurent fall 2024 show: a halter dress featuring 10 denier hosiery cups, a knotted pantyhose bodice, and a below-the-knee skirt with a control top hemline.

Hadid, styled by Molly Dickson, leaned into the Old Hollywood glamour that has become synonymous with the Cannes Film Festival, adding a pair of mahogany peep-toe ankle strap heels and an enormous pair of drop earrings from Chopard.

This look fits into Hadid’s latest sartorial M.O. of sheer earthy tones that can only be described as “sexy nymph.” While promoting her fragrance, Orebella, in New York, the model wore a diaphanous nude Dior slip dress by John Galliano, as well as a cream-colored Rokh dress with a lace bodice. And yesterday in Cannes, she further explored brown tones in a simple tank dress . But this look—with only some extremely well-placed seams preserving her modesty—is by far her boldest to date.

When asked about how he would manufacture these ephemeral pieces from the collection, Vaccarello told Vogue, “Don’t even ask me about production—I can’t tell you.” This being the first instance the delicate outfits have been spotted on the red carpet speaks to Hadid’s risk-taking style. Even if she is the only person who ever wears one of these sheer Saint Laurent looks out in the world (let’s see if she can make it to the end of the night without any snags) the fact that Vaccarello was readily willing to make one for her speaks to Hadid’s immense power in the fashion industry.

And if this is Hadid’s wardrobe for her first official day of events in Cannes? We can only imagine what’s to come.

Two people have been killed and two more are wounded as a result of Russian shelling in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, an official has said.

Vadym Filashkin, head of the regional military administration, said Russian forces struck the centre of Kurakhove city, killing a woman and a 40-year-old man.

Two injured people were taken to hospital, he said.

He added that the extent of the damage in the attack was being assessed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban had a seemingly lively chat ahead of a meeting of European leaders in Brussels today.

It's not known what that the two men discussed - but relations between Budapest and Kyiv have become more strained since the Russian invasion in 2022.

Hungary is Russia's closest ally in the EU and Mr Orban has maintained a friendship with Vladimir Putin while criticising the EU's strategy on Ukraine.

In December, Mr Orban blocked a €50bn aid package for Ukraine in a move that frustrated other EU leaders. He lifted the veto several months later.

Two people have been injured in a Russian drone attack on southern Ukraine, an official has said.

The Kherson regional administration said Russian forces launched an attack on the village of Novodmytrivka, leaving a 66-year-old man and 71-year-old woman hurt.

Both have blast injuries and have been taken to hospital for treatment, it said on Telegram.

The US, Israel and Ukraine are all in talks to provide Ukraine with up to eight Patriot air defence systems, according to the Financial Times.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly called for NATO members to send his country the US-made Patriot systems as it battles intensifying Russian attacks.

The FT said the deal would likely involve Israel first sending the systems it plans to retire to the US, before they are handed over to Kyiv.

Sources with knowledge of the negotiations told the paper the outlines of the deal have been discussed between ministers and senior officials from each of the three countries.

Mr Zelenskyy said in May that Kyiv urgently needed at least seven more Patriot missile systems to ward off Russian strikes against its power grid, civilian areas and military targets.

Pictures have emerged this evening of the aftermath of Russia's latest airstrike on the northeastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv.

Emergency services said earlier that five people were injured and buildings were damaged in the attack (see 17.55 post).

Russian forces launched an assault on a new front in Kharkiv in May, after months of fighting focused on the east.

Ukrainian troops have repelled Russian forces from a neighbourhood in the frontline town of Chasiv Yar, a Ukrainian military official has said.

Nazar Voloshin, a spokesman for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency that Russian forces had been pushed out of the Kanal neighborhood in the east of the town.

Mr Voloshin claimed Moscow's forces were not slowing down in their push to break through in Chasiv Yar, and said two assault operations were ongoing.

"Ukrainian defenders reliably hold the defence in this area and give a decent rebuff to the Russian aggressor," he told the agency.

For context: Chasiv Yar, a strategically-important town in the eastern Donetsk region, has long been a Russian target.

It has been pummelled by Russian air, artillery and drone strikes for months now, as Moscow views the town as a gateway to launch direct offensives against several Ukrainian "fortress cities".

Chasiv Yar had a pre-war population of more than 12,000, but now only a few hundred residents remain.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged EU leaders to make good on their promises to provide his country with military aid after the bloc signed a security agreement underlining its support for Kyiv in the long term.

"Fulfilment of every promise is important, not only in terms of protecting lives but also to destroy the Russian illusion that they will achieve something by war," he said at the summit in Brussels today.

The Ukrainian president thanked countries that have so far promised equipment and arms aid, but pointed out that they were "needed urgently on the battlefield".

He also urged more help on "the urgent things - air defence, that is one".

The EU-Ukraine security agreement entrenches the EU's commitment to help Ukraine in nine areas of security and defence policy - including arms deliveries, military training, defence industry cooperation and demining,

In essence, it encapsulates what the 27-nation bloc has been doing for the country since the start of the war.

But the EU has made a specific commitment to the "predictable, efficient, sustainable and long-term provision of military equipment" for Ukraine.

Kyiv in return has promised to uphold European values and continue on its reform path in preparation to join the EU.

Five people have been injured in Russian airstrikes in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, according to emergency services.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said the strikes hit a residential area of the region, partially destroying one building and damaging others - including a school - as well as cars.

Crews at the scene said five people were hurt.

The windows and gates of the local fire station were also damaged, the emergency service said.

While the apparent gains made by Russia during its spring offensive in Kharkiv were the focus of much of the news coverage of the way in May, a new report indicates any progress made by Vladimir Putin's troops came at a significant cost.

According to UK and other Western intelligence agency sources cited by the New York Times, more than 1,000 Russian soldiers were injured or killed each day last month.

However, the newspaper also cites US officials as saying Moscow is continuing to recruit between 25,000 and 30,000 new soldiers a month - roughly as many as it is losing from the battlefield.

American officials told the outlet that Russia achieved a critical objective of Mr Putin in creating a buffer zone along the border to make it more difficult for the Ukrainians to strike into the country.

But, the Western officials said, this did not threaten Kharkiv and was ultimately stopped by Ukrainian forces.
