10/10 My partner and I are seasoned travellers and usually plan our own holidays. However both of us had extremely hectic schedules in the back end of 2023 and so we went outside of our comfort zone and booked an entire 2 week island hopping tour of the Philippines through Guide To The Philippines (GTTP)! I have to say at first it was pretty daunting, handing over our precious holiday to someone else, but we are SO GLAD WE DID!! This is a team of passionate professionals who did absolutely everything they could to ensure we had a fantastic holiday! The tour itself was incredible, we did the 12-Day Puerto Princesa, El Nido, Coron, Cebu & Siargao Island Hopping Philippine Tour Package experience; possibly a bit too hectic, as we also bolted on all of the additional extras, but that was more us, biting off more than we could chew and in hindsight we don’t regret a thing! I am going out of my way to especially say that you are in very safe hands with the GTTP team! Here is what I experienced: 1. Excellent communication - the team write better English than most native speakers. I never had a language barrier. 2. Efficient - emails were responded to quickly and left no stone unturned, so no constant back and forth 3. Professional - always maintained professionalism, despite I was high maintenance from time to time and they may have wanted to kill me at times (lol) 4. 24/7 - I had support around the clock via email, WhatsApp and iMessage 5. Account Management - not sure if it’s intentional, however we seemed to have one particular agent who took care of most things, like she was assigned to us. Her name was Richel and she is just incredible! You are in fantastic hands if Richel is on your side!!! That said, if Richel was away, the other team members took great care of us also 6. Caring - I felt like I was being taken care of and they were always one step ahead and it filled me with confidence and joy to know they had my best interests at heart. 7. Good Value - Whilst on the tour you get an idea of pricing for each component and given the level of service we received this was incredible value We chose the comfort accommodation package and with the exception of one, the hotels were incredible! We provided feedback to GTTP about the hotel that wasn’t great, and they are looking into it. GTTP literally took care of every single component of our tour. We had daily emails explaining the itinerary for the day ahead with contact details for the tour providers and transport providers. All of our internal flights were organised perfectly. You will be very well taken care of if you choose to book a trip in the Philippines with GTTP. I have not been incentivised or pressured to write this review. It’s just so great to have an exceptional customer experience like my partner and I have had in the lead up and during our holiday! Nalusuan was named after the local Cebuano term “kalusuan” which literally refers to a “place for penises.” The term was coined by local fishermen who fish in the area and called it as such due to the presence of sea cucumbers, which resemble the male genitals.

Pandanon Island

The island is perfect for family swimming through its white sand beaches with shallow waters and cottages you can rent. A sand bar which extends to a nearby island is also an attraction along with local cogon grass products. Unlike other islands, Pandanon has no place for divers.

Caohagan Island

Caohagan is a small yet popular island hopping destination which is about 30 minutes away from mailand Mactan and is home to a small village of local fisher folk who offers fresh seafood catch and souvenir items. The island also boasts of a lush forest, marine life for snorkeling, and a lagoon with crystal clear water for swimming.

Hilutungan Island

It’s an island with a government protected reef (Olango reef) so you can expect thriving fishes and preserved corals when diving or snorkeling. The corals are located on the eastern area of the island (back section) while on the north and west is where a lagoon with white sand beach is available for swimming during high tide only. Floating lodges are also found on the west side of the channel.

The  Pescador Island Hopping tour package will let you spend a day in the famous marine park in Moalboal. Pescador is a small island very close to Moalboal situated at the west coast of Cebu. The waters are extremely deep (600 m in Tañon Strait), clear (up to 35-40 m visibility), cool in temperature (27-29°C) and rich in biodiversity. It is a fantastic place to go for snorkeling because you can see different kinds of fishes, beautiful coral reefs and if you are lucky, you can also see dolphins in this island.

Before going back to the mainland, you will be snorkeling with the countless sardines in the Cebu’s famed sardine run. And sometimes, sea turtles can also be found while doing this activity. The sardine run and turtle chasing activities are just a few meters from Moalboal shore and not in the Pescador island. This package is best if combined with other destination in the southern Cebu so you can maximize the long trip that you had which starts early in the morning.

NOTE: The boat used in this island hopping tour are outtriggered boats, please expect loud noise of the engine. Best to bring own ear plugs.

This tour starts at 5 o’clock in the morning from your hotel in the city. You will meet our driver at the hotel lobby and you will drive directly Moalboal where you will be doing the Island Hopping to Pescador and snorkel with the sardines. Here are some what you will see in this package.

Since this package is just for Moalboal day tour, you will then back to your hotel by our private car right after the activities. Hope you enjoyed the day!
