British rock band Coldplay will hold their first-ever concert in Indonesia after much anticipation from the public.

British rock band Coldplay announced their first-ever concert in Indonesia, which will be held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Central Jakarta, on Nov. 15.

The announcement came on Tuesday after numerous teasers from concert pages on social media over the weeks and digital billboards in Jakarta, building up anticipation among the public.

“We’re so excited to announce our first show in your beautiful country,” frontman Chris Martin said in a video on PK Entertainment’s Instagram. “We really hope we see some of you there.”

The show is part of the Music of the Spheres world tour, following the band’s 2021 Grammy-nominated album of the same name. Starting its run in March 2022, the tour has won the famed arena rockers “Favorite Touring Artist” and “Tour of the Year” awards at the 2022 American Music Awards and the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards consecutively.

Aside from Indonesia, the band will also have their first-ever show in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November. Announced dates across Asia and Australia include Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Perth; the latter marks the band’s first return there since 2009.

“TEM Presents is very pleased to be partnering with PK Entertainment as a co-promoter to bring Coldplay Music of the Spheres World Tour Jakarta on Nov. 15,” said co-promoters Sam Tzovolos from TEM Presents and Harry Sudarma from PK Entertainment.

Tickets will be on sale on May 17-18 for BCA cardholders and May 19 for the public at coldplayinjakarta.com .

Coldplay to rock Jakarta with their first ever concert in Indonesia (Nov. 15)

Government officials and concert promoters have tried their best, and they have succeeded in bringing Coldplay to Jakarta for their first ever concert in Indonesia. 

Following weeks of rumors and teasing, the British alternative rockers announced their Nov. 15, 2023 Jakarta date in a video uploaded to concert promoter PK Entertainment’s Instagram this morning, featuring a respectable attempt at “ apa kabar? ” by Chris Martin.

Coldplay will perform at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour to promote their ninth studio album of the same name, which was released in 2021.

Tickets will go on sale exclusively at www.coldplayinjakarta.com . More information on prices, ticket categories and layouts will be available soon.

The Jakarta concert is a new addition to the Asia and Oceania leg of the tour, which is scheduled to wrap up in Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 22.

Coldplay is one of the most popular and successful bands in the world, with over 100 million records sold and seven Grammy Awards. Some of their hit songs include Yellow , The Scientist , Viva la Vida , Fix You , A Sky Full of Stars , and Hymn for the Weekend . The band consists of Chris Martin (lead vocals, piano), Jonny Buckland (lead guitar), Guy Berryman (bass guitar), and Will Champion (drums).

As part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour, the band will play at Gelora Bung Karno on November 15.

Coldplay has announced their highly anticipated return to Asia and Australia with special stadium shows in November 2023 as part of their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour. The announcement also marks the band's first-ever performance in Jakarta, scheduled for November 15th at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

Since the start of the tour in March 2022, the band has sold more tickets than any other artist in the world, receiving a warm reception from fans and critics alike. They have also been honored with the 'Favorite Touring Artist' award at the 2022 AMA and 'Tour of The Year' at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.

This month also features Coldplay's first return to Tokyo since 2017 and their debut performances in Kaohsiung and Jakarta. Additionally, the band is returning to Perth after their last show there in 2009.

Berdasarkan informasi pada laman resmi Coldplay, Chris Martin dan kawan-kawan akan tampil perdana di depan penggemar Indonesia pada Rabu, 15 November 2023. Sementara, penjualan tiket untuk konser akan dilaksanakan pada Jumat, 19 Mei 2023 mendatang.

Namun, Coldplay dan pihak promotor, PK Entertainment, belum memberikan pengumuman terkait harga pasti tiket konser Coldplay di Jakarta yang telah ditunggu sangat antusias oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia ini.

Pihak promotor hanya menyebut penjualan tiket secara presale akan digelar pada 17-18 Mei mendatang dan penjualan secara umum akan digelar 19 Mei 2023.

Secara rinci, presale pada 17-18 Mei dan penjualan umum pada 19 Mei mendatang akan dilaksanakan pada pukul 10.00 WIB.

"Informasi lebih lanjut terkait kategori tiket, posisi penonton di venue, dan harga akan tersedia segera," tulis PK Entertainment melalui akun Instagram resminya (@pkentertainment.id).

Perkiraan harga tiket konser Coldplay di atas mengacu pada perhitungan kisaran tiket konser Coldplay di Asia Tenggara pada 2017 dan 2018 di Bangkok, Thailand; Singapura; dan Manila, Filipina. Dimulai pada Mei 2023, Coldplay dijadwalkan manggung di tiga negara Eropa, yaitu Portugal, Spanyol, dan Inggris. Konser di Portugal dan Spanyol bahkan digelar hingga empat hari di venue yang sama.

Kemudian dilanjutkan di negara-negara Eropa lainnya, termasuk Inggris, Italia, Swiss, Swedia, Denmark, dan Amsterdam.

Setelah dari Eropa, Chris Martin dan tiga personil Coldplay lainnya lantas bertolak ke Amerika Serikat dan Kanada untuk mengisi jadwal konser pada September 2023.

November 2023 menjadi waktu bagi Coldplay melawat untuk tur di Asia dan Australia. Negara yang dikunjungi meliputi Jepang, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, dan Malaysia.

Mengutip situs resmi Coldplay , agenda Music of the Spheres World Tour sebenarnya telah dimulai sejak 18 Maret 2022 yang awali dari Costa Rica. Perjalanan konser kemudian berlanjut ke Republik Dominika, Meksiko, Amerika Serikat, Jerman, Polandia, Prancis, Belgia, hingga Inggris.

"Kami telah merencanakan tur ini selama bertahun-tahun, dan kami sangat bersemangat untuk memainkan lagu-lagu sepanjang waktu kita bersama. Pada saat yang sama, kami sangat sadar bahwa planet ini sedang menghadapi krisis iklim," kata Coldplay di laman tersebut.

Personil Coldplay terbilang cukup aktif menyuarakan tentang keprihatinan terhadap perubahan iklim. Dikutip dari Tatler Asia , Coldplay memastikan agenda Music Of The Spheres World Tour menjadi sarana berkelanjutan dari kepedulian terhadap iklim.

Mereka turut menugaskan tim ahli yang bertugas menyelidiki jejak karbon dari aktivitas melakukan tur dunia, dan mengupayakan agar jejak tersebut dapat diminimalisasi saat konser di mana pun.

Konser Music of the Spheres World Tour dari Coldplay akan berlangsung di Indonesia pada 15 November mendatang. Konser ini rencananya akan digelar di Stadion Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta.

Tiket konser Coldplay di Jakarta sudah bisa dipesan mulai 17 Mei 2023 untuk penjualan presale . Tiket presale dibuka dua hari pada 17-18 Mei 2023 dengan metode pembayaran menggunakan layanan milik Bank Central Asia (BCA)

Coldplay announce ‘Music of The Spheres’ Asia and Australia tour dates

With shows in Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Perth and more confirmed

Coldplay have announced a tour of Asia and Australia kicking off this November.

Announced today (May 9), the tour was confirmed via social media, and follows several days of teases through digital billboards as posted online by Live Nation.

Coldplay’s Asia tour will begin in Tokyo, Japan on November 6 and 7 at the Tokyo dome, before the band take over the Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taipei, Taiwan on November 11th. Elsewhere in the tour, Coldplay will perform at the Optus Stadium in Perth, the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia and the National Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Tickets to Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ shows in Japan will go on sale June 17, while passes to the Taiwan show go on sale on May 18. Pada 2023 ini, grup band Coldplay melangsungkan tur dunia dengan tajuk Music of The Spheres World Tour . Mengusung tema sustainability atau keberlanjutan lingkungan, ini sudah menjadi tur global mereka yang ke-8 setelah A Head Full of Dreams Tour pada 2016-2017 lalu.

Coldplay sendiri telah memulai konser dunia kedelapannya ini sejak 18 Maret 2022 lalu. Di antara banyaknya benua yang mereka sambangi, Indonesia berkesempatan untuk menyaksikan secara langsung penampilan ciamik Chris Martin dan kawan-kawan selama Music of The Spheres World Tour tahun ini.
