Der var styr på det hele. se mere herunder på engelsk. ------- From the first contact was made we felt in safe hands. Gabriela from Columbus Travel took her time to listen to our needs and wishes for our family holiday (2 adults and 3 kids). Coming from Denmark we feel that we got very high and professional service and guidance. Even with the time difference she took her time to talk to us out of normal working hours. The end result was the most amazing cruse to Galapagos where we saw all the animals we wished for and more. The standard of the crew was very high and the guide was amazing. 5 star rating from Denmark. After the cruse we had an adventure tour to the city Baños in Ecuador with our own driver and guide. furthermore we saw a lot of special landmarks in Ecuador. Stayed at wonderful hotels and all in all had the holiday of a lifetime. We can only give Columbus Travel a 5 star rating. Thank you.

Good Morning Maria,

Oscar and Patrico delivered us safely to Salinas. We had a great time and enjoyed their company very much.  They were very responsive to our suggestions for things we wanted to see (the rose farm and the orchid farm). We had great weather the entire time, although the Ecudorianos said it was very cold. I will be doing a trip review on Trip Advisor, and rest assured it will be very complimentary.  The hotels were wonderful, and Oscar took us to some excellent restaurants. Everything was fine, both activities we booked were as described ( of course, it was not the Cotopaxi we were riding at, but that was obviously not possible and the other mountain area was great, too ),

so summarized I just can say that everything was perfect ( could have been less rain and warmer, but that's not your business :-) )

Dear Francisco Our first-class private tour exceeded all of our expectations!! Thank you for your kind attention to all of our needs during the booking process. Thank you for suggesting the private tour option, when the group tour was not available. Private was MUCH better and for a great price!!!! Thank you for finding all the best hotels. You went to great lengths to arrange everything per all of our detailed requests, and even changed things for us when we changed our mind. The private bus had lots of space for us to travel in comfort. Everything went smoothly with the arrangements. Our guide and driver were outstanding. Our guide has a degree in tourism and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the country, including history, culture, geography, politics.. he is passionate about showing others his country, and very attentive to our needs. He let me sit in front of the bus when I felt car sick. He is of indigenous descent, and we feel very fortunate to have had him show us your tremendously beautiful country and people. In fact one local tour bus driver asked him to narrate when the real guide did not show up! My only suggestion is it could help to let future travellers know they may want to bring medication if they suffer from motion-sickness. The roads through the Andes, though beautiful, are very curvy!! My mother and I became sick just after landing at home. I had to go to emergency. We did not drink water or eat ice while in Ecuador. We remained healthy through your tour, so we're not sure what caused it. For the last day (not part of your tour), we ate only at the Wyndham hotel in Guyaquil, and then ate at TGI Fridays (but not my mother) in Quito restaurant. So maybe you could remind other travelers not to drink tap water or eat ice (since they are used to doing this at home). Emily

LAND TOUR ANDES/COAST + TRAIN RIDE

Hi Vladimir,

The whole trip was executed well. Small glitches here and there but nothing major.

Even though we did not hike huyana Picchu, we still had a good hike on Macchu Picchu mountain. That was good for now.

The accommodations were excellent in Cuzco and Macchu Picchu.

Overall experience was positive.

Good job on covering all the details.

I have already referred a friend who is planning Galapagos trip, hopefully you will get a few more.

RUSIA March 2015

Thank you so much for helping us organize our trip to the Galapagos Islands & Quito. It was the AWESOME experience we've ever had. We shot nearly 1000 pictures and still haven't had our underwater camera developed. The tours of Quito conducted by Daniel were wonderful. We had a great time at Mitad del Mundo. And we loved staying in La Ronda. The cruise was fantastic. We took a couple of nature walks each day and snorkled or swam twice daily too. I can't say enough about the guide and crew of the Galaxy. The food was great, too.

Almost all of the information you sent was extremely useful. You might want to advise future customers that traveler's checks are not widely accepted. We did not need to use ours but we think the only place we could have cashed them is at a bank. Cash is definitely the way to go. Also, tips for the crew and guide can run $20 per person per day (or more) so advise people they need to have cash left at the end of the tour for this expense.

Again, thanks for all you did. We will recommend you to friends and will use you again the next time we head for Ecuador of Peru.

Thanks so much for arranging this trip for us so that we could experience your beautiful country. The Manatee was perfect, the cabins a bit larger than we expected, the food very good and the tour guides did a very good job with the excursions. The land portion of our trip was also excellent. Mauricio is a tremendous source of knowledge about virtually everything in Ecuador. He made sure our hotels were exactly what we expected and the one time a glitch arose with our dinner, he resolved it immediately. Juan our driver was also excellent, always getting us to our destination safely and on time, even when the weather wasn't the best, and always able to find handy parking. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. We would not hesitate to recommend Columbus to anyone.

The trip was great - thank you for checking in! Overall, it was a fabulous trip - if fast!

Good Morning Maria!

Our trip was fantastic. Raul and Christian were a fabulous guide and driver! I would highly recommend the tour to others and would love to come back again someday and visit. I feel like we got to do and see many things in our 3 days and learned a lot about the culture and history. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Raul was great about timing things so that we could see the as much as possible---especially getting us from the Narriz Diablo to the Inca ruins on the second day. The restaurant that day for lunch had a beautiful view and Raul was great about trying getting our food since we didn't have much time to get to the Inca Ruins before they closed. Raul was fantastic in Cuenca as well, we got to go in one of the museums and then he took some time to take us down to a bird sanctuary -my boys loved the birds, especially Benjamin the youngest & Raul showed us that because he knew that the boys would really enjoy it. Also got to see several cathedrals which were beautiful and we don't have anything like them here in the US so that was really great to get to see that. Raul, was again awesome because he spoke with the manager at the hotel in Cuenca and got special arrangements for us to use one of the rooms before we left Cuenca to go home. he knew we had almost a 24 hours of travel through airports to get home so it was really nice to be able to take a shower and pack up before going to the Panama Hat factory and then to the airport. We really enjoyed our time in the highlands and I feel like we got the best guide and driver and really appreciate that because it helped to make the trip amazing!!!!

Again the trip was awesome! We loved Raul and Christian as our guide and driver. The suggestions above are only about a few things that might make it nicer from an organizational point on the company side. We were 100% happy with everything Raul and Christian did for us. Your company has a truly great guide & driver!

Dear Francisco, Apologies for this delayed response. My family was glad to have chosen Ecuador and Columbus Travel as our year-end destination and our travel agency respectively. First Ecuador. Coming from the opposite side of the world from Asia, we weren't sure what to expect. The answer now is obvious it was a magical experience! The Andes mountains, the historical Quito (the awesome churches), the Tren Crucero ride that traverses the mountains and stopping in Guamote and finally cosmopolitan Quayaguil. Honestly, it will be very hard to find one country destination that packs in so many varied experiences. The Columbus Travel guide (Juan) that accompanied us, he was very very very competent, knowledgeable and accommodating. All three qualities in one person. Very competent because he gave intricate details of the places we visited, eg Cuicocha, Le Compania de Jesus, the San Francisco Cathedral, just to mention a few. On a visit to the Le Basilica, we were astounded by what his he showed us inside the Church. Really, very good information. He was also accommodating to change the itinerary to accommodate our interest. It is a pity that we didn't engage your services for a longer period, but I would say that experience would have been the same or better. I would have no hesitation in recommending your travel agency to others. Thank you very much and take care

Dear Christian, We couldn't have been happier with our trip to Ecuador. We really enjoyed it. Everything went very smoothly and we felt well cared for by the Columbus Travel contacts. We especially liked seeing Xavier every time we returned to Quito.

Our tour guides, Alfredo and Ivan, were great. They were very knowledgable and fun and interesting to spend time with.

We were glad we signed up for the Otavalo tour, it was so much more interesting than just the market.

We particularly liked the Casona de la Ronda Hotel. The Swiss was nice but we would have preferred to stay in the old town area instead.

Both the Yachana and the Eclipse were great. Comfortable, good food, good excursions and great guides.

We will gladly recommend Ecuador and Columnus Travel to our friends. And I think we will return to Ecuador in the next few years. It sounds like the cloud forest would be interesting.

My wife and I, both in our early 60s, traveled in Ecuador for 14 days in January 2012. Our entire trip was planned and executed, without a hitch, by Columbus Travel. Our agent, Julia Haessler, worked diligently with us throughout our planning process, via email and even once by telephone. She was always timely and helpful in her responses, even when our questions may have seemed somewhat elementary and repetitive. While traveling in Ecuador, we had access to a 24-hour phone line, which we did use when our plane from the Galapagos Islands go us into Quito 2.5 hours earlier than the airlines schedule indicated. Julia contacted our transfer driver who picked us up within 15 minutes of our call!

Julia made all reservations for us, including 5 days/4 nights touring the Galapagos Islands on La Pinta , and an 8-day tour of the mainland. She tailored those 8 days to our interests, so that we spent maximum time in the Andean countryside with our guide, Juan Vizcaino. Juan's knowledge of the places we visited is exceptional, as is his command of English. We would highly recommend using Columbus Travel.

We just returned from our trip to Equador and hiking Cotopaxi Volcano (no easy hike!) We had a wonderful experience with our guide Efrain. He told us to call him Lobo (wolf). The best hiking guide we have ever had! Professional knowlegeable, conversational, fun and thoughtful to all our needs! Please give that man a raise!
