Fallout: best super mutants, ranked, fallout 4 fans have grim theory about sanctuary hills.

Forza Horizon 5 boasts gorgeous visuals on PC and consoles across its vast Mexican map, but it's not always a good use of time to drive across it to the next Event. When attempting to unlock Achievements, Accolades, or just progress with the campaign, using fast travel will save players a lot of time in between races and Challenges.

Unlocking fast travel in Forza Horizon 5 does require a little bit of work, especially if wanting to do it for free. So, brand new players won't have access to it straight away, unless they want to spend some real money for the privilege.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5

To unlock fast travel, players must purchase the Buenas Vistas house for 2 million Credits in Forza Horizon 5 . It is the purple property symbol found to the far middle-west of the map, near the Baja California and Descansar Dorado regions. VIP members will have access to fast travel at the beginning of the game, because the Buenas Vistas house is included in the purchasable bundle.

Saving up 2 million can take a bit of time, but players can take advantage of the unlimited money and Super Wheelspin exploit in Forza Horizon 5 if they want to make some quick cash. Designing liveries, tunes, and selling duplicate or unwanted cars in the Auction House are also quick methods to making money if the exploit gets patched.

How to Unlock Buenas Vistas House in Forza Horizon 5

To unlock the Buenas Vistas house and unlock fast travel in Forza Horizon 5 , the Guanajuato Expedition needs to be obtained from the Street Scene Adventure Chapter, and then completed to unlock the Horizon Street Scene Outpost .

To unlock the Guanajuato Expedition, players must earn enough Accolade Points to obtain an Adventure Chapter Point. With over 1,800 Accolades currently in the game, there are plenty of ways to earn points. Taking part in solo or multiplayer events in Forza Horizon 5 , completing PR Stunts and weekly Festival Playlist Challenges are a very small selection of ways to quickly earn Accolades.

To check how many points players are away from getting an Adventure Chapter unlock, they can pause the game and check the number on the top right-hand corner. Once unlocked, the Guanajuato Expedition can be found north of the volcano landmark, in the northwestern corner of the Forza Horizon 5 map . The Buenas Vistas house will be available to purchase when the expedition has been completed.

Fast travel does cost credits initially, but the amount is reduced every time a fast travel bonus board is smashed, and will eventually be free once all 50 of them have been found and destroyed.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

a white sports car next to a fast travel sign in Forza Horizon 5

Fast travel in open-world games is pretty typical, but in Forza Horizon 5 , it’s surprisingly limited. When you first start playing, you can fast-travel, for free, to a single house that you own, but fast-traveling to any other house or festival hotspot is gonna cost you thousands of credits each time. Not ideal.

There is a way around this, but it’s gonna require some upfront scratch and an hour or two of tooling around the map hunting billboards. That may seem like a lot of work, but trust me when I say it’s totally worth it.

The first thing you’ll want to do is save up at least 2 million credits . This may seem like a lot, but thanks to Wheelspins and events (and so long as you’re not buying every McLaren in the shop), you’ll soon find yourself drowning in cash.

With 2 million credits in hand, you’ll want to buy the Buenas Vistas house on Mexico’s western coastline (just north of the hotel). If you’re not seeing it on your map, you may need to complete the first Street Racing expedition in the main campaign, Guanajuato. Once that’s done, Buenas Vistas should be purchasable.

Buying Buenas Vistas unlocks the ability to fast-travel to any point on any road in all of Forza Horizon 5 . This is tremendously useful for getting around quickly, but it doesn’t solve the other problem: It’s still costing you thousands of credits each time you fast travel. Let’s fix that, shall we?

Throughout Forza Horizon 5 ’s map, there are fast travel billboards . If you get close enough, they’ll appear on your radar as small lightning bolts. There are 50 of these in total, and each one you destroy will knock down the price of fast travel by 200 credits. Hit them all, and all of your fast travel will be free!

a white sports car crashing into a Fast Travel board in Forza Horizon 5

In terms of tracking them all down, you can fork out $2.99 in a real-money microtransaction for Forza Horizon 5 ’s Treasure Map (:eyeroll:), which will make all 50 boards appear on your map. The better option: Open up this free interactive map and type “fast travel” into the search box, and it’ll give you all the locations you need. Your in-game radar will gray out the ones you’ve already broken, so you can focus only on the new ones.

Going in a lazy circle around the map, I was able to knock out all the fast travel boards in an hour or two. (There are only two tricky ones, located on top of buildings, but this video should help you nab those .) Toss on a podcast and pick your favorite offroad vehicle, and you’ll have it done before you know it.

Since doing that, holy cow, Forza Horizon 5 is a totally different game for me. I love doing batches of similar events one after the other. Previously, doing all of the Danger Sign jumps would have required a ton of driving (or a ton of money to fast-travel to each one). Now, I’m able to pop around from point to point instantly with my ideal car built for long jumps, and knock them all out in a flash. It doesn’t hurt that, on the Xbox Series X, it takes, like, three seconds to load to a new location anywhere on the map.

Moral of the story: While it may seem like homework, nab all those fast travel boards in Forza Horizon 5 . Your future self will thank you for it.

Forza Horizon 5 Player Houses: Full list, locations, how to unlock, and more

Forza Horizon 5 features multiple houses that players can own and use, and each one is unique.

What is Forza Horizon 5?

  • What are Player Houses?
  • Every Player House

As if it wasn't already enough for Forza Horizon 5 to fill its world with countless events, races, challenges, and secrets, Playground Games' open-world racer also features several Player Houses scattered across the map. These homes are safe havens for players, letting them customize their cars, characters, and more while away from the already numerous Festival Sites. FH5 features seven different Player Houses for players to find and obtain, with each one being unique in its own way.

With so many houses to find and obtain, collecting them all can be a daunting task. Here's what you need to know about the Player Houses in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 Reco Image

The best open-world racer

Playground Games has delivered their latest masterpiece with Forza Horizon 5, which features the series' most diverse map and largest car list yet. Forza Horizon 5 somehow fulfills its ambitious promises to be the best open-world racer right now, and one of the best racing games in general.

Forza Horizon 5 Store Screenshot

The Forza Horizon franchise is a long-running series of open-world racers, culminating in the epic and grandiose Forza Horizon 5 from Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios. To an almost unbelievable degree, Forza Horizon 5 expands upon its predecessor with its largest and most diverse map yet and a car list that includes hundreds upon hundreds of the world's best vehicles and automobiles.

Improvements don't stop there, however, as Forza Horizon 5 proves it's not just another racing game by including innumerable improvements to inclusivity, accessibility, creativity, and much more. This game is frankly absurdly huge, to the point where it features seven individual houses for players to acquire and use throughout their time in-game.

Forza Horizon 5 is absolutely one of the best Xbox racing games ever, and is available to purchase now. Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series X , Xbox Series S , Xbox One, PC , Xbox Game Pass , and Xbox Cloud Gaming .

In our Forza Horizon 5 review , we concluded that Playground Games had somehow managed to deliver on practically all of its promising, crafting an expansive and embracing world in which almost any player can find a way to have fun. For even more information, check out our ultimate guide to Forza Horizon 5 .

What are Player Houses in Forza Horizon 5?

Forza Horizon 5 features a ton of ways to upgrade, tune, customize, and view your cars and car collection, as well as personalize your in-game character's face, hair, prosthetics, pronouns, clothing, and accessories. All of this and more can be done through one of the six Horizon Festival sites scattered throughout the world, but players can also obtain another way to accomplish these tasks and show off their proficiency at FH5: Player Houses.

All the latest news, reviews, and guides for Windows and Xbox diehards.

There are a total of seven Player Houses in FH5, each of which will look unique and require different methods of unlocking. Since there's a Forza Horizon 5 Achievement and bragging rights on the line in exchange for acquiring all of these houses, players are undoubtedly going to be on the lookout for how to accomplish exactly that.

Forza Horizon 5's Player Houses do more than just sit there and look pretty, however, as each one has a unique perk that makes it useful to players. One Player House may let you fast travel to any road, while another may reveal a hidden Barn Find somewhere on the map. FH5 Player Houses can get expensive fast, but there are still plenty of reasons for players to invest in this in-game real estate.

Where is every Player House in Forza Horizon 5?

Forza Horizon 5 Screenshot Image

With seven Player Houses around the Forza Horizon 5 rendition of Mexico, it's understandably not immediately obvious where every home is located. Forza Horizon 5's Player Houses are all revealed on the map in different ways, and they all have their own unique properties.

Here's every Player House and where it's located in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

Every player will be gifted one Player House at some point during the beginning of the game, and it's the turning point beyond which players typically have complete unfettered access to the world and its campaign. The house, known as "Casa Bella," is an adorable and modest affair featuring a bright pastel pink color and an incredibly charming boxy design. Honestly, I'd be happy to live here in the real world, and it looks incredible in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

The house is located in the town of Mulegé, and is pretty easy to find. Fortunately, you won't have to look too hard to find it. Once you reach the first Horizon Adventure chapter, which happens after you complete the first Showdown and complete some Accolades (for finishing races, taking pictures, exploring, and more), Ramiro will invite you to Mulegé to begin the next chapter of your journey.

You'll be directed to head straight here, and then Ramiro will generously gift you Casa Bella. Afterward, you'll be able to return to Casa Bella whenever you want and take advantage of all its functions, including checking out your car and character outside (which might make for some great pictures!). Casa Bella also does come with one additional perk, and that is the addition of Skill Songs to Forza Horizon 5's radio stations. A song will play every now and then that will give all your tricks and skills double score, contributing to rewarded Skill Points.

La Casa Solariega

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

La Casa Solariega is a beautiful mansion, complete with an ornate fountain set in the middle a rotund driveway. This house is understandably quite expensive, coming in at 1.5 million Credits, but players can get their hands on this house for free as part of the Forza Horizon 5 VIP Membership DLC .

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

Source: Windows Central

Located near the ancient ruins of Teotihuacán, La Casa Solariega grants several awesome perks to those who acquire it, whether you pay the 1.5 million Credits upfront or take advantage of the VIP Membership DLC. You don't have to do anything to make this house appear on your map, as it'll appear automatically after unlocking the Horizon Adventure and obtaining the start Casa Bella home.

The perks included with La Casa Solariega grant you double Forzathon Points, a useful bonus when playing through the Festival Playlist. Forzathon Points are granted when you complete Horizon Arcade events, or Weekly and Daily Challenges, and can be spent at the Forzathon shop for rare cars and other rewards. On top of this, La Casa Solariega also includes five Super Wheelspins and the valuable "Green Crown" cosmetic item. There's a lot here!

Lugar Tranquilo

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

Lugar Tranquilo is the second DLC house in FH5, and comes as part of the Forza Horizon 5 Welcome Pack DLC . Just like with La Casa Solariega, you can also purchase Lugar Tranquilo flat out if you don't want to pick up the DLC, but it'll cost you a pretty penny. Lugar Tranquilo runs for 700,000 Credits, a more modest asking price that gets you a picture-perfect property on the coast, complete with a custom art mural.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

Sharing another similarity with La Casa Solariega, Lugar Tranquilo doesn't require anything special to become available for purchase. After you obtain Casa Bella, the house will automatically appear on the East coast, near the town of Playa Azul. Of course, Lugar Tranquilo includes some additional perks to sweeten the pot. Players will earn a free Super Wheelspin and a new Forza LINK phrase, but the most interesting perk by far is unlocking Horizon Promo.

Horizon Promo is already semi-available before purchasing Lugar Tranquilo, in that the game still keeps track of vehicles you've photographed, but fully unlocking it makes it easier to keep track of which cars you've photographed in your collection (and makes it quicker to do so in the first place). It also gives you rewards for different milestones, incentivizing players to head into Photo Mode any time they pick up a new ride.

Buena Esperanza

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

Next, we have Buena Esperanza, an environmentally friendly abode that is nestled deep in the Mexican jungle, with the ancient ruins of Ek' Balam peeking out over the cliff edge. This house is quite charming, even if it is situated in an out-of-the-way location that makes it a little frustrating to reach. Being a mid-sized home, Buena Esperanza will set players back 700,000 Credits, and does need to be purchased.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

I unlocked Buena Esperanza after completing the Horizon Apex Expedition, which takes place in the jungle and actually travels through Ek' Balam and on to Tulum. Once you've unlocked Buena Esperanza, you can travel back whenever you want to purchase it, adding the home to your collection and picking up some new perks along the way.

Buena Esperanza doesn't include any long-lasting perks like the previous houses I've mentioned, but it does gift you an incredibly rare car (the 1985 Porsche 959 #185 Prodrive Rally Raid), a Super Wheelspin, and the rather comical Chicken Suit cosmetic item. Plus, you can return here at any moment to enjoy looking at your cars with Ek' Balam hovering in the background.

La Cabaña

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

La Cabaña is a must-have for any Forza Horizon 5 car collectors, because its unassuming appearance and low asking price actually contain a Barn Find rumor that can't be obtained any other way. La Cabaña is by far the most affordable house available to purchase in Forza Horizon 5, coming in at only 150,000 Credits, but it does need to be purchased. Because of its affordable price tag, at least La Cabaña won't break the bank.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

I unlocked La Cabaña after completing the Horizon Baja Expedition, and it appeared close by near the west coast. There's nothing to special about the house or its surroundings, but it's easy to get to and even easier to purchase. That's because La Cabaña is actually the source of the 1968 Renault 4L Export Barn Find rumor , a valuable get that will more than make up for the purchase price for many players.

Aside from the Barn Find rumor, La Cabaña also grants an additional Super Wheelspin, which can be used to gain valuable rewards like Credits, cosmetic items, and cars. At the end of the day, though, La Cabaña's value is in the Barn Find rumor contained within.

Buenas Vistas

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

Buenas Vistas is the second most expensive property in Forza Horizon 5, and it certainly looks the part. This beachfront villa is the dream home for any family, but in FH5 is just another place to stash your cars and use Festival services. Buenas Vistas runs for 2 million Credits, a hefty price tag that is justified by its extremely powerful perk.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

I unlocked Buenas Vistas after completing the Horizon Wilds Expedition, and had to drive quite a ways to look at it on the west coast. This property is certainly beautiful, and even features a full interior that you can spot when it lights up at night. While players will certainly appreciate the two free Super Wheelspins that come with Buenas Vistas, it's the other perk that is most lucrative.

Players who purchase Buenas Vistas gain the ability to fast travel to any road on the map instantly, letting players go pretty much anywhere they please without any wait times. You'll still be restricted by fast travel costs, which are reduced (and ultimately eliminated) by fast travel Bonus Boards, but those splashing the cash for Buenas Vistas probably won't be too concerned by fast travel prices in the first place.

Hotel Castillo

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Screenshot

The final property in Forza Horizon 5 is none other than Hotel Castillo, a stunning and expansive mansion that boasts of huge grounds and (apparently) always-on-site staff. This is for the players with Credits to burn and a desire to show off their accumulated wealth, as Hotel Castillo is also by far the most expensive Player House in FH5. With a price tag asking for a cool 5 million Credits, it's not a simple affair to pick up the keys to Hotel Castillo.

Forza Horizon 5 Player House Location

I was allowed to gaze longingly at Hotel Castillo after completing the Horizon Street Scene Expedition, and decided to burn some rubber in my comparatively tiny Dodge Challenger while I was there. Hotel Castillo actually doesn't include the most lucrative perks, certainly not becoming of its monstrous price tag, but there are still niceties for the players willing to lay down the cash.

Firstly, Hotel Castillo grants two free Super Wheelspins to new owners, an expected perk when purchasing a Player House in Forza Horizon 5. However, the main perk of Hotel Castillo is a daily Wheelspin every day you log into Forza Horizon 5, which further rewards the long-term playtime probably necessary to buy Hotel Castillo in the first place.

Forza Horizon 5 fast travel - How to unlock and how to buy Buenas Vistas house

When fast isn't fast enough

Forza Horizon 5 fast travel boards are your ticket to getting around Mexico quickly, but it takes some work and plenty of money to unlock.

Even then, fast travel in Forza is far from convenient unless you’re rolling in credits. If you’re tired of taking in the sites, though, here’s what you’ll need to do.

How to unlock fast travel in Forza Horizon 5

Fast travel has a steep unlock requirement in FH 5. You’ll need to complete an Expedition, then spend 2 million credits to buy the Baha region house. After that, you’re free to fast travel there, to any other house you’ve purchased on the map, or to any of the fast travel boards you’ve smashed on the world map.

How to unlock Buenas Vistas house

Buenas Vistas only goes on the market after you complete the Guanajuato Expedition under the Street Scene tab. As with any other Expedition, starting this one requires one Accolade Point. Finish that, then visit the new house location to purchase it — once you’ve got the money.

How to fast travel in Forza Horizon 5

fast travel house forza horizon 5

50 fast travel boards are scattered across the world, indicated as small purple rectangles with lightning bolts on your map. You can use a filter to focus in on just those boards and the XP boards if you're having a difficult time spotting them.

though crashing into some of them is a challenge in itself. Many are just in the road or off in the wastes somewhere. Others are hanging from trees or perched atop roofs, and you’ll have to find natural ramps and other methods of reaching them if you want to fast travel in that general area.

The thing is, it’s not always worth it unless you’re determined to break all Forza Horizon 5’s bonus boards. Once you’ve unlocked fast travel, you can select the location you want to visit from the map — but until you’ve destroyed all 50 boards, it’ll cost you. Fast travel fees usually run start at 10,000 credits and go higher.

You can get to any Forza Horizon 5 destination quickly with the right car anyway, so it’s not the best way to spend all your hard-earned credits . You’ll still need to do plenty of driving to finish most other challenges too, including the Barn Finds.

How to fast travel in Forza Horizon 5

We get it. You want to go fast — that’s one of the reasons you are playing Forza Horizon 5 in the first place. At, 100, 200, even 300 miles per hour, you can blister across the picturesque Mexican landscape. But sometimes that’s still not enough to get you to your next race as fast as you’d like. That’s where fast travel comes in. This feature is restricted at first, but before long, you can teleport to virtually any spot on the map in an instant. We will show you how in this guide to Forza Horizon 5 fast travel.

When you first begin your journey in Forza Horizon 5 , fast travel is very limited. Spread around the map are houses for you to purchase with credit earned from races and various other activities, with prices ranging from a few hundred thousand to several million credits. Every house you buy becomes a fast travel node. You can designate one house as your “home” by visiting it and it will be a free fast travel destination. The rest initially cost 10,000 credits each time you teleport to another house, a steep price early in Forza.

Open your map and hover your cursor over one of your houses. Select it, and a pop-up window will tell you the fast travel price and ask you to confirm. Say yes, and you will be whisked away to start your drive from your destination.

There are only a handful of houses, and the map of Forza Horizon 5 is enormous. Wouldn’t it be better if you could just instantly teleport to any road? The good news is you can. Purchasing the Buenas Vistas house comes with the fast travel anywhere per, but doing so requires investing a bit of time and a lot of credits.

First, you need to focus on the Expeditions. These are the larger racing adventures that are unlocked as you progress though the game. There are five groups of Expeditions. Completing the first entry of a group unlocks houses and other miscellaneous destinations in a region. The Buenas Vistas house is available once you complete the Guanajuato Expedition.

Unlocking the Buenas Vistas house is the easy part. Now you need to pay for the place. At 2 million credits ,this is one of the most expensive properties in Forza Horizon 5 . Plan to complete a lot of races, and make sure to use your wheel spins every time you level up. It will take some time, but the expanded fast travel is well worth the cost.

I’m broke!

Now that you’ve just spent all your money, fast traveling at 10,000 credits a pop may be a luxury you can’t afford (it’s the avocado toast of Forza). But there is a way to get it for a discount and, eventually, free of charge. That is where fast travel boards come in.

Fast travel boards are wide, rectangular signs scattered across Mexico. Every time you smash one, it permanently lowers the cost of fast travel by 200 credits. There are 50 total, so you need to destroy them all if you want fast travel at no cost. Keep an eye out for the lightening bolt symbol on your map as you drive and take the time to seek these out. Do so, and you are finally free to travel about the country.

There haven't been many complaints about Xbox Series S since it launched in 2020. Serving as the more affordable sibling of the premium Xbox Series X, it plays all the same games yet works at a lower resolution – allowing it to carry a nice price tag of $250. Users have reported a few common issues with Xbox Series S over the years, however, which run the gamut from Quick Resume crashing to HDMI-CEC not registering a connection.

In a world where so many games send you on missions with tense action and high stakes, sometimes it's nice to just sit back and relax a bit. That's where the cozy genre comes in with calming exploration, crafting, and decorating that give you a sense of purpose without all of the stress that comes from more action-oriented games. If that's what you're after, look no further, as we've compiled a list of what we consider to be the best cozy games you can play right now.

Cross-platform support is becoming more important in the world of video games. Multiplayer hits like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Fortnite have pushed crossplay into the limelight, and now most AAA multiplayer games release with at least partial cross-platform support. Finding every cross-platform game is no easy feat, though, so we did the hard work to bring you a comprehensive list of games that support crossplay.

Unfortunately, there aren't any rules when it comes to crossplay, so each game handles the feature a little differently. To make matters more confusing, certain backward-compatible games on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X still support crossplay on the most recent hardware, even if there isn't an official release for that hardware.

How to complete the rat’s nest quest in gray zone warfare, baldur's gate 3 player discovers hilarious way to break the deal with raphael.

Playground Games' Forza Horizon 5   has a massive open-world map packed with exciting races and events to compete in, and fast traveling to events is a great way to experience everything as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, fast travel isn't accessible to players right from the start, but this gives players the opportunity to take a ride through  Forza Horizon 5's  beautiful game . Still, fast travel is a quintessential tool to reach races, jumps, and other items of interest as quickly as possible.

Unlocking fast travel will feel familiar to those who have played  Forza Horizon 4 , and players new to the series entirely will find it easy to acquire. The fast travel mechanic in  Forza Horizon 5  is one of kind. Unlike most games, where a specific location has to be selected in order to fast travel, players can fast travel to any point on the map regardless of whether or not it's a focal point or a random spot.

Before fast travel is available, players need to progress through the  Forza Horizon 5  story and complete accolades to receive Accolade Points. Accolade Points are used to unlock the array of Horizon Adventure tickets, and the ticket that needs to first be acquired is the Horizon Street Scene. This scene contains three street racing events that will need to be completed with any car in  Forza Horizon 5 . These street races will unlock more events, and the Guanajuato Expedition needs to be completed to unlock fast travel.

How To Unlock Fast Travel In Forza Horizon 5

After completing the Guanajuato Expedition, players will unlock a new outpost, a new achievement, and their map will be populated with new street races. The Buenas Vistas house will also become available for purchase for 2,000,000 credits just south of Dunas Blancas on the west coast part of the map. Purchasing this house will unlock the ability to fast travel to any point on the map for 10,000 credits. The Buenas Vistas house can be unlocked long before players acquire 2,000,000 credits, so the main goal should be acquiring those credits as quickly as possible. More credits can be earned by redeeming the wheelspin every time the character levels up, flipping cars for profit in the auction house, and completing more races in  Forza Horizon 5 .

The cost of fast travel in  Forza Horizon 5  can be reduced by smashing the 50 Fast Travel Bonus Boards located around the map, and the bonus boards can be found either at random or by purchasing a Treasure Map for $2.99. Purchasing the map will automatically add the location of every bonus board to the map, and destroying each one reduces the cost of fast travel by 200 credits until all 50 are destroyed.

How to unlock fast travel in Forza Horizon 5

Image of Chris Studley

Much like in FH4, Forza players can acquire the ability to travel around the Forza Horizon 5 for free. In order to do that, you will need to unlock fast travel. Fast travel can be used by picking a particular event or outpost on the map, and tapping X on it to travel. This can be quite helpful, as it can save a lot time . But in order to do that, be prepared to grind.

In order to unlock fast travel in Forza Horizon 5 to Horizon festival locations, you will need to smash Fast Travel boards. Fast Travel boards are strewn across Mexico, and have those words on the board.

If you look on the FH5 map, you will see these boards listed with a purple icon and a tilted hourglass.

fast travel house forza horizon 5

50 of these boards exist in Forza Horizon 5. The more boards that are destroyed, the ability to fast travel to certain locations will be unlocked. Smash more, and the price will begin to go down.

Destroy all of those boards, and you can get free and fast travel across Mexico, without having to spend any CR or time.

To fast travel to any part of the road, you will need to purchase the Buenas Vista player house. It costs 2,000,000 CR.

We should note that unless you purchased the Treasure Map, the vast majority of these boards will not populate on the map from the onset. Boards become discovered based upon the areas you have been to, and the amount of roads and areas you have visited.

Additionally, there are some boards that can’t be accessed until you unlock PR stunts. Make sure to complete the Horizon Rush Canyon expedition to unlock ramps.

Fast Travel and XP Board location maps - Forza Horizon 5

Struggling to find those last few XP or Fast Travel Boards in Forza Horizon 5? Check out our handy guide and map to the boards.

Chris Jarrard

To say there are lots of things to do in Playground Games’ open-world racing adventure Forza Horizon 5 would be an understatement. From organized circuits to street racing and dodging dust storms, the game has a little bit of everything available to those who wander into the lush, sprawling landscapes of virtual Mexico. One of the more rewarding bits of side content in Forza Horizon 5 is the bonus board hunt. Scattered throughout the map are wooden sign boards that can be smashed with your car. The boards come in two varieties. XP Bonus and Fast Travel.

The XP Bonus Boards offer a few different XP bonuses for players depending on how difficult they are to find or smash. Each Fast Travel Board smashed reduces the cost of open-world fast travel. Players who find all the boards are granted the ability to fast travel for free. If you are just starting out in Forza Horizon 5 or, if you are only short a few of the boards until completion, we have the guide for you. Below you’ll get maps that show the location of all XP Bonus and Fast Travel Boards in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 XP Bonus Board location map

forza horizon 5 xp board map location

In the image above, you see all of the XP Bonus board locations. They are designated with the purple Bonus Board icons. Once you find and smash one of the boards, it will remain on your in-game map, but the color will change to grey. You can use the colors to keep track of which boards you’ve smashed and which still need to be busted up. Should you drive your car near an XP Bonus Board but not smash it, it will remain on your in-game map marked in purple until smashed. The embedded image above may also be enlarged by clicking or tapping the expand image icon in the top left of the map embed.

Forza Horizon 5 Fast Travel Board location map

forza-horizon-5-fast-travel-board-map-locations

In the image above, you will find all of the Fast Travel Board locations. Each board is represented with a purple icon. Once smashed, the Fast Travel Board icon will change to grey on your in-game map to let you know it has been collected. Each of these boards grants a 200 credit discount on fast travel fees. The starting price for fast traveling is 10,000 credits, so you will need to smash all fifty Fast Travel Boards to unlock free fast traveling. The embedded image above may also be enlarged by clicking or tapping the expand image icon in the top left of the map embed.

There you have it, Forza fans. Using the maps embedded above, you will be able to locate all of the XP Bonus and Fast Travel Boards scattered throughout the sprawling virtual Mexico map in Forza Horizon 5. Have fun out there on the roads (and jungles, deserts, and mountains) while playing, and remember to keep checking in with Shacknews for more great guide content for Forza Horizon 5 and loads of other great games.

Chris Jarrard posted a new article, Fast Travel and XP Board location maps - Forza Horizon 5

Hello, Meet Lola

Where to find all the houses in Forza Horizon 5

Build your property empire and fast travel across Mexico at will.

forza horizon 5 house

Buena Esperanza

Buenas vistas, hotel castillo, la cabaña, la casa solariega, lugar tranquilo.

Where are all the Forza Horizon 5 house locations? If you want to own the sandbox racer’s impressive array of villas, estates, and even castles, you’ll have to progress through the campaign; Completing certain racers and Horizon Adventure missions will make houses appear on the game’s colossal map of Mexico. Once these icons appear, drive to it and you can buy it for a set number of credits.

To get you started, Forza Horizon 5 gifts you property near the start of the campaign. Not only do they act as Forza Horizon 5 fast travel locations, but certain pads reward you with perks, such as Skill Songs and free Wheelspins. While the most expensive of the seven costs an eye-watering 5,000,000 CR, a couple of these map-hopping homes can be picked up for free if you own the Forza VIP DLC. Follow the map and tips below to find every house in Forza Horizon 5.

All Forza Horizon 5 house locations

Below you can find a map for all the houses you can buy or are gifted in the game, and below are more specific directions. Just as I did for all the Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find locations .

all forza horizon 5 house locations

  • Price: free (starter house during campaign)
  • Perk: unlock Skill Songs
  • Location: In Mulegé, near the Baja California region

You’ll unlock this starter home during the first 20 minutes of Forza Horizon 5’s campaign. The garish pink villa overlooks the oasis town of Mulegé. It’s a handy fast travel point for many of the game’s early races.

forza horizon 5 house location - buena esperanza

  • Price: 700,000 CR
  • Location: Ek Balam, towards the southeast of the map

This luxurious villa lies deep within the Mexican rainforest. Earn enough credits by bagging podium places during races and this opulent pad can be yours for a wallet-pummeling 700,000 credits.

forza horizon 5 house location - buenas vistas

  • Price: 2,000,000 CR
  • Perk: travel to any road on the map instantly
  • Location: west of De Otro Mundo

Look to the west of the crop circles-like formation near the southwest edge of the map to spot this beach house. Although your cars won’t get much use out of the private pool, the associated perk that grants you the ability to travel to any road on the map in an instant is invaluable.

forza horizon 5 house location - hotel castillo

  • Price: 5,000,000 CR
  • Perk: grants one free Wheelspin every day
  • Location: northeast of Guanajuato

Located in the Tierra Prospera region, this grand structure can be yours for a mere 5,000,000 credits. Easily the most expensive home in the game, you’ll most likely have to finish Forza Horizon 5’s campaign before you can afford Hotel Castillo.

forza horizon 5 house location - la cabana

  • Price: 150,000 CR
  • Location: near the beaches of Dunas Blancas

This charming little residence is one of the cheaper Forza Horizon 5 houses. Find it to the northwest of Dunas Blancas at one of the most westerly points on the map. Even though this home doesn’t offer any perks, the views are undeniably killer.

forza horizon 5 house location - la casa soleriega

  • Price: 1,500,000 CR (free if you own Forza VIP DLC)
  • Perk: earn double Forzathon points
  • Location: northwest of Teotihuacan

A stately manor that can be found almost right in the centre of the map, to the east of the Cordillera region. The price tag may hurt, but buying La Casa Solariega bags you double Forzathon points—one of the most useful perks in the game.

forza horizon 5 house location - lugar tranquilo

  • Price: 700,000 CR (free if you own Forza VIP DLC)
  • Perk: earn Accolades by taking a picture of your car in Photo Mode
  • Location: north of Rivera Maya

You can find this seaside home between Playa Azul and Playa Tranquila. If the in-game map description is to be believed, buying this villa grants you views of "whale sharks and flamingos". I can’t back up the virtual wildlife claim, but at least taking a photo of your car after buying Lugar Tranquilo earns you Forza Accolades.

Forza Horizon 5 | How To Unlock Fast Travel

Image of Morgan Shaver

Forza Horizon 5 is an amazing game with a huge map full of things to see, do, and explore. Given the size and scale of the game’s map though, being able to Fast Travel can help save you time, and energy if you like to bulldoze your way through off-road areas as a shortcut like we do.

Wondering how to unlock and use Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5? Here’s what you need to know!

fast travel house forza horizon 5

To unlock Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5, you’ll first need to unlock Horizon Street Scene as part of Horizon Adventures. To unlock this, you’ll need to earn Accolades by completing races and various other in-game activities.

Once you have Horizon Street Scene unlocked, you’ll then need to run through and finish the Guanajuato Expedition. By completing the Guanajuato Expedition, you’ll unlock the ability to buy the Buenas Vistas house for 2 million credits.

By purchasing the Buenas Vistas house, you’ll unlock Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5 . Note that when you do this, Fast Travel will not be free unless you’ve already found and smashed all 50 Fast Travel Boards .

Even if you don’t want to find and smash all 50 Fast Travel Boards, it’s worth smashing as many as you can as the more Fast Travel Boards you’ve smashed, the cheaper Fast Travel will be for you in Forza Horizon 5 .

Other ways to Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5 regardless of whether you have the Buenas Vistas house include returning to whichever house you’ve set as your default Home (traveling here is always free) by selecting “Go to Home”, or by traveling to festival sites.

At the bottom of your screen, you’ll be able to see how much it’ll cost you to Fast Travel to a particular location. If you’re ok with the total, all you need to do is press X to Fast Travel there.

fast travel house forza horizon 5

To recap, you can unlock Fast Travel by purchasing the Buenas Vistas house for 2 million credits. You will be able to purchase the Buenas Vistas house after completing the Guanajuato Expedition.

Once you own the Buenas Vistas house, you can openly use Fast Travel to go just about anywhere, though it’ll still cost you credits to do so. To Fast Travel for free, you’ll need to find and smash all 50 Fast Travel Boards. The more Fast Travel Boards you find and smash, the cheaper Fast Travel will be in Forza Horizon 5.

We hope this guide has helped!

Fast Travel Forza Horizon 5 Explained

Learn how to unlock free fast travel Forza Horizon 5 and maximize the time-saving benefits of fast traveling in the game.

fast travel forza horizon 5

Jump To Section

Introduction

Moving from point “A” to point “B,” sometimes it takes all the fun in video games.

Instead of doing all the “walking” movements we usually do in the real world, we only need to hold a button or an analog stick.

Depending on the developers, we might get a better experience as we travel across the virtual map.

For example, they might add outstanding “scenery” elements that benefit from graphical enhancements and build a nice “view.”

Still, even if appropriately made, and it makes an excellent first impression, veteran players could reach the point of getting bored as they get bored looking at the same things.

To solve this issue there are great gameplay mechanics that aim to “solve” this issue and increase the fun.

This article aims to solve the “traveling” mystery in games and how to take advantage of this gameplay mechanic in Forza Horizon 5.

Talking About Teleportation

One way to solve the issue is to let players move instantly between places. Depending on the “greed” of the developer, they might add a cost to this convenience.

As a result, if you want to move from a critical location (for example, a town) to another one, you’ll need to use the in-game currency.

When you come across this decision, you either skip the “Fast Travel” and hold the button constantly or pay the fee.

On the other hand, you have “easy-going” video games that give you this feature right away, and you may use teleportation as much as possible.

With this freedom, you focus more on fun and less on tedious moments.

Whichever situation you experience in your video games, getting the option to move freely across an open map is always helpful.

Currently, teleportation is a standard gameplay mechanic in any “open-world” genre like Forza Horizon 5.

Fast Travel Vs. Normal Movements

We all have different tastes, and some players prefer one method. For example, you could drive to your destination instead of “wasting” CR when beginning your journey in Forza Horizon 5.

It could take more time doing practically nothing, but you’ll have more in-game currency to use in other goodies.

After a while, you’ll get the opportunity to unlock free travel (which we’ll discuss later) and move around without any regrets.

Moving through the open world might give you other activities or ways to improve your resources.

Within Forza Horizon 5, you might get more rumors on the radio or make trick combos to increase the car skill points.

Furthermore, you might use the opportunity to test your vehicle and see how it performs on tight corners.

How Does It Work?

Many open-world video games (like Forza Horizon 5) will give you ways to move around the map.

Usually, you need to gain access to the entire map and transfer to your desired destination.

When you start the journey, you probably do not have critical locations on your map. Hence, you might need to travel “on foot” until you discover more elements and find ways to move around.

After a couple of gaming sessions, you might get the opportunity to explore the entire map and move quickly between places as you see fit.

The fast travel method aims to make the experience less tedious as you have already walked virtual miles in the same place.

Overall, the fast travel gaming mechanic, although simple, it helps you as a player in managing the time you want to invest into any video game.

As you’ve guessed, the less time traveling, the higher the chance to complete tasks or events.

ft cost fast travel forza horizon 5

Fast Travel Forza Horizon 5

Following the same trend, Playground Games added the fast travel feature into their open-world Forza Horizon part of the franchise. As you might already know, the map has many miles to explore and many biomes to witness.

You can fast-travel into the main Horizon outpost and use the Autoshow from the start. It is helpful to get this advantage when you’re starting the journey. You can buy a new vehicle or “tune in” your garage inside the establishment.

Later, you’ll find many icons on the map that could ask for a fee if you want to reach it instantly. Many racing events will ask for CR if you use the teleportation way. On the other hand, you can move freely between your properties (houses).

Complete all the off-road events icons with the Best Rally Car in Forza Horizon 5 .

How to Improve Fast Travel Forza Horizon 5

Within Forza Horizon 5, you have many ways to travel around as quickly as possible. First, even though it is not fast travel per se, the fastest the vehicle, the quicker you reach the destination. Some of the rarest cars come with outstanding acceleration or top speed.

Secondly, you’ll need to use the map if you want to move around New Mexico from coast to coast in seconds. Inside Forza Horizon 5, you’ll find:

Completing all the Introductory Expeditions

One of the easiest ways to improve the Horizon event is to unlock all the activities on your map. It requires many Accolade Points, but you’ll get there after completing different racing events.

For example, it is helpful to gain access to the Horizon Apex outpost and get more road races on the map.

One of the most helpful ways to improve fast travel is to get the Guanajuato Expedition running.

The Horizon Street Scene outpost will give you other events to participate in for Forza Horizon 5.

At the same time, when you complete the introductory event, you’ll unlock the best house that improves fast travel and makes the movement a lot easier.

With more outposts on the map, you’ll find more efficient ways to move across New Mexico.

At the same time, each place will allow you to buy a car or improve your vehicle.

Make all the expeditions more interesting with the Best Drift Car in Forza Horizon 5 .

horizon wilds fast travel forza horizon 5

Buenas Vistas House

Even though it would be great to unlock the Buenas Vistas Property as quickly as possible, every house will make fast travel much more manageable.

You can move around the map for a fee when you purchase a new virtual home.

All Forza Horizon 5 Player Houses have different price tags, rewards, and models.

You’ll get one free as you complete the game’s tutorial and introductory missions.

The house that matters the most for fast travel is “Buenas Vistas.” You’ll find it between “El Arco de Cabo San Lucas” and “Club de Opalo de Fuego.”

This unique building costs 2M CR and gives you the “fast travel to every road” perk.

VIP Membership

One of the easiest ways to improve fast travel into your account is to purchase the green crown icon. After you invest real-world $20 in, you get many items that will surely help you in the long run.

First, you get the rarest vehicles like the BMW X5 Forza Edition, Dodge Charger Daytona, and Ford Racing Puma Forza Edition. Each of these options will help you travel quicker and improve your garage.

Second, you automatically unlock the Buena Vistas House, allowing you to travel fast on any road. With the DLC, you won’t need to “grind” different racing events and save your in-game currency until you get that 2M.

Fast Travel Boards (50)

As you move around the map, you’ll see these boards popping up on your map. The “Fast Travel Boards” have only one function in the game – to reduce the traveling fee.

The more boards you smash with your vehicles, the less you’ll need to pay for the teleport.

If you manage to destroy all of the fifty Fast Travel Boards, you’ll move across the entire map free of charge.

Indeed, you might want to take a little break from your current main tasks and hit those items as soon as they appear.

Although necessary, you must use all your skills when you see those bonus boards on top of buildings.

Sometimes you’ll need to use a hill or other ways to jump and land on that particular place.

Once you discover all the Fast Travel Boards locations, they will remain on your map until you crush them.

Therefore, if you cannot find a way to destroy one, you can always leave it and return afterward.

ft board fast travel forza horizon 5

Why Is Forza Horizon 5 Fast Travel Necessary?

Moving around the map could become tedious when you only have a short time in your gaming session and want to participate in racing events.

Additionally, some veteran players have already gathered almost (if not all) the events or boards on the map. Hence, you may not need to travel on random roads anymore.

At first, the developers at Playground Game will reward you when you spend some time in the open world.

For example, you can only hear Barn Finds rumors outside racing events. But after a while, fast travel is Necessary.

Furthermore, unlocking all the fast travel upgrades will help you in:

Completing More Racing Events

You will have more time racing when you skip the opportunity to move around the open world map. Instead of taking around five minutes between courses, you will move instantly and begin another event ASAP.

Furthermore, if you fail to reach the first place and exit the event accidentally, you do not need to move back into the starting spot. Instead, you could teleport to the desired location and activate the race again.

Focus on the New DLC Content

You can instantly try that event without issues when something new hits the servers.

Also, after you complete the introductory activity, you can teleport to the other part.

Remember that everything changes once again when you visit another map. If you’re playing on the Hot Wheels content, you must move on the road when you reach that part.

Check all more info about the Forza Horizon 5 DLC inside this article.

Earn More In-Game Currency

Some of the racing events will give you more rewards than others. When you find that sweet spot between an easy-to-win and good CR income, you might want to “replay” that event more than once.

Once you find that special place, you might need to teleport constantly and finish first once again.

Also, you won’t use your virtual wallet as you travel around the map. In other words, you’ll use your earnings to acquire new vehicles or to improve your houses and garages.

You might want to check the Forza Horizon 5 Money Glitch if you’re going to reduce the grind.

Fast Travel is essential in Forza Horizon 5 because of the size of the map, so here is how to unlock it!

fast travel house forza horizon 5

Published: 04 Nov 2021 7:59 AM +00:00 Updated: 22 Mar 2022 8:56 AM +00:00

One of the first things you'll want to do in Forza Horizon 5 is unlock the ability to quickly move across the map.

The downside of having such a vast map to explore is that you'll spend a lot of time just driving from one race or event to the next.

Table of Contents

Fast travel boards, unlocking fast travel.

It really helps to be able to fast travel, so you'll want to unlock this as quickly as you can!

Like in previous Forza Horizon games, there are bonus boards to smash. If you want cheaper or free fast travel, you'll need to look out for these! 50 of the bonus boards are fast travel boards. Each one reduces the cost of each fast travel by 200 credits. Once you have smashed them all, you can fast travel for free.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4BhWhL1Dtg&ab_channel=RacingGames

First, though, you'll need to unlock the fast travel ability. Here's how you do that.

It's actually very straightforward to unlock fast travel. The ability is enabled by buying the Buenas Vistas house. This is the house nearest El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, the big stone arch on the west coast.

c32fda8a 9a65 4d66 b4fa 43e1d37dff84

Once you have this house, you can click on any road on the map and travel there instantly! But bear in mind until you've found all of the fast travel boards that this can get expensive.

However, you'll now be able to get across the map in one click, awesome for taking your convoy from one meetup spot to another.

So, that's it for Fast Travel, as well as how to unlock it!
