What a fun experience this was!! My new wife and I came to Kauai for our honeymoon and knew this was something we wanted to do, but Jordan and Ian made it so much better then we expected. Not only was driving around the Razr fun, the fun island knowledge and facts that both the guys gave us was an added bonus. This might be something we have to do on our anniversary trip back!

A really fun and exciting excursion! We were so grateful we did it! We got so dirty but it was totally worth it! We loved seeing the gorgeous beach and the tunnel and the reservoir was amazing! Restrictions: For the safety of all participants people who are pregnant, have major neck or back problems, have extreme allergies to dust or pollen, or have had recent surgeries within the last three months will not be allowed to participate. Participants must be 5 years and older. Polaris drivers must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 25 years of age or older.  Any guest who wants to drive must bring a valid driver’s license and credit card. The weight limit on all vehicles is 320 lbs per person.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations of tours within 48 hours (before the activity date) will be charged at 100% of the activity cost.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!!!!!! My husband and I did this and we can’t stop talking about it! We loved it! Our guides Kahea and Echo were AMAZING!!!!! They made the tour the absolute best!!!! We will definitely do this again when we go back to the island!!! Don’t wear anything you care about, the mud is a dirty red mud that will stain! They give you t-shirts and basketball shorts to borrow so you don’t ruin anything on purpose! 🙂 Bring a camera for sure! So muddy! It was awesome!!

• From North or East Kauai: Head south towards Lihue on Highway 56. Hw 56 runs into Hwy 50 and continue on through the town of Puhi. Turk left at the 3 Mile Marker (Kipu Sign). Go 1/4 mile and take the first right onto Kipu Road, cross over a small bridge and follow the road to the top. Take a right at the "Kipu Ranch" sign and pull into the first driveway. From South or West Kauai: Head east towards Lihue on Highway 50. Turn right after the Kauai Humane Society on the "Lihue Alternate" Road. Go 1/4 mile and take your first right on Kipu Road, cross over a small bridge and follow the road to the top. Take a right at the "Kipu Ranch" sign and pull into the first driveway. Parking is free. Do not go past the pine trees or monument after entering the Kipu Ranch parking area.

Overall rating

It was such a fun adventure! It was raining for most of it and we got pretty muddy. If it’s raining when you go definitely buy or bring a poncho to cut down on the mud. There were parts of the trail that felt more advanc ... ed but they guided us on how to get through. The sites and greenery were absolutely stunning! The guides were super pleasant and supportive. The explained everything clearly and patiently. I felt safe and supported the whole time. Learned lots of cool things!

This was so much fun. Our guides Cousin Ryan and Merlin were amazing!! Very knowledgeable and informative! We learned so much about the ranch and Hawaii! Loved riding in the 4x4’s! Views were magnificent!!!

Take off on a  guided 3 hour Kauai ATV tour to the Kahili mountain range on Kauai’s southside! You will explore 18 miles of off road trails on Kipu Ranch, known for its private stunning beauty.  This tour encompasses famous movie sites, Wilcox Tunnel, beautiful ocean views, and a short coastal hike, Waita Reservoir for catch and release fishing with traditional bamboo fishing poles ends the tour (weather permitting).

Kauai ATV specializes in “first timers” with complete riding and safety instructions before every tour. Try out the  Polaris RZR 1000 4 seater UTVs fully automatic off-road vehicles that guests drive.  Kauai ATV has the largest Polaris fleet in the Pacific. RZR XP 1000 4 provides the ultimate in touring adventure. These are a blast to drive! Rental clothes are suggested – you will get muddy!

We have gone to Hawaii for the last three years to different islands. Kauai ATV has been my favorite by a million. The tour guides were amazing and so fun and informative. Mana and Ace did a fabulous job! So much fun. The views are spectacular and the Atv riding was super exciting. We were on high our whole trip because of the activity! I’d do this again for sure! Also Lori the person on Kauai vacations who helped was also amazing. She booked all our activities and was so helpful!

C_n_H_Pure - Have you done both ATV tours? What did you like more about the Kualoa one?

I like the terrain at Kualoa. You can really see the "jurassic park" and "Lost" in the fields and palis. Kipu is a lot less impressive.

We have done both. Kualoa last year and Kipu a few years ago. I recommend both, but if deciding between the two, I’d have to choose Kualoa. The scenery is incredible. I asked my husband which he preferred and he agreed. You can’t go wrong with either, but Kualoa was just breathtaking! Have fun in whatever you decide.
