Well, it wasn't really a total disaster, but let me suggest an alternate last ten minutes: Jürgen Prochnow happily throws both psychotic girls overboard and quietly travels to Barbados with Willie the dog for the remaining three weeks.

The entire movie is Jurgen Prochnow manning a small boat with Patsy Kensit and Elizabeth Hurley on board, and getting increasingly irritated with them both. They also brought their dog aboard for seemingly no reason. There's the germ of a plot here where Prochnow has a terrible accident at the very beginning resulting in one fatality and is set on returning to sea just because everyone around him tells him he shouldn't. Then he meets these two singers who are performing in a bar one night and drunkenly invites them along to set sail with him. Most of the movie is set aboard the boat with the three of them (and the dog) and the tension that grows between all…

Jürgen Prochnow is a drunken German sailor who came back from his last outing with less people than he left with decides he's going to take two beautiful women Patsy Kensit (Riggs dead gf Rika Van Den Haas in Lethal Weapon2 ) & Elizabeth Hurley out on the high seas for a 4 week sailing trip. What's the worst that could possibly happen? A good cast wasting away in a Boring Movie if you ask me. I liked the musical score alot, there were some decent parts but over all it's snooze inducing in other parts

This was actually much better than I expected. Patsy Kensit and Elizabeth Hurley play Sue and Lou, two girls from Leeds (both with thick accents) who persuade troubled skipper Jurgen Prochnow to sail them across the Atlantic, from Gibraltar to Barbados, with zero preparation. Part crack-up movie and part erotic thriller, it’s a great study of the destructive power of sexual jealousy. Basically, Patsy Kensit turns into a proper psycho when she realises Jurgen fancies Elizabeth Hurley and not her. The shock ending is either genius or laughably terrible. I’m still not sure which. 

Worth seeing for Kensit (who looks more like Bardot than I ever noticed in the ‘90s) and Hurley, who gets to do all the racy bits. Plus the sailing stuff looked pretty authentic to me, and I say that as someone who grew up in a sailing family. We were even planning our own Atlantic crossing in 1990, though it never happened.
