We always recommend making a reservation, to guarantee your seat on a boat. Walk-ins are booked based on availability. Our tour schedule will vary daily based on weather and demand.

There is  minimum height requirement of 40″ tall for the DRY Freedom Jet seats and 44″ tall for the WET Jet seats. WET Freedom Jet seats are ADULT only – minimum 13 years old and over 100 lbs. Children will be measured on-site and those who do not meet the requirements will not be permitted to ride. Guests under the age of 12 and/or under 100 lbs are not permitted to sit in the first 3-4 rows of our vessels. (All seating is determined by the Captain and Crew of the vessel)

Our tour is not recommended to anyone with a history of osteoporosis, heart, neck, or back injuries. Pregnant persons are not permitted to participate. 

There is a 13% HST added to all Canadian rates and a 6% fuel surcharge added to all Canadian and US rates. All tickets are a final sale and we do not provide refunds for cancellations. All cancellations and reschedules within 24 hours of booked departure time are subject to a 10% rebooking fee.

Arrive 45 minutes in advance of your departure time to either the Niagara Falls or Niagara-on-the-Lake Jet Boat locations.

Jet Boat Trip

Spend 45 minutes travelling along the Niagara River on a thrilling Jet Boat learning about history and navigating through Class 5 white water rapids! There is a pilot and a guide to ensure that you have a safe and fun adventure!

Cancellation & Refund Policy

A full (100%) refund will be provided by ToNiagara for any cancellation request received at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. Any cancellation done within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time will receive NO REFUND.

There is no age limit, though there is a height limit (you must be at least 44 inches tall or 3 feet 4 inches). You must be of good health, free of heart, neck or back issues and not pregnant.

For those of you who have never experienced the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour remember that besides an awe inspiring ride that YOU WILL GET SOAKING WET! There are private changing rooms available for use before and after your ride.  All Jet boat locations offer food and beverage service for your convenience so you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Niagara River before or after your Jet Boat ride.

Our Jet boat tour has allowed over two million guests to enjoy the power and beauty of Niagara’s class 5 whitewater rapids. Experience the thrill of our Hamilton 360 turns, the Shower before the Power and the rush of the rapids. The Whirlpool Jet Boat tour is now the most popular white water ride on the planet!

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour

You will be absolutely soaked, so please bring a full change of clothes (undergarments too!) Passengers must be at least 44″ (112cm) tall. This is your average 6-year-old. You may bring glasses, sunglasses, a hat and a waterproof camera on board. Putting a camera in a plastic bag does not make it waterproof. We will provide all necessary gear to keep you as comfortable as possible, including a certified life jacket. We have splash sandals available for purchase in our River Shop. If you would like to wear your own shoes or sandals, please ensure that the sandals have a strap that wraps around the back of your ankle. As the weather dictates, we will also provide ponchos, splash suits and sweaters. We have sizes to fit most people.

Whirlpool Jet DRY Freedom Jet Tour

Our DRY Freedom Jet tour is the perfect alternative for those on a tight schedule, who don’t want to get wet or who are traveling with children between the ages of 4-6. The Freedom Jet follows the exact same route as the Wet Jet tour but keeps our passengers dry!

Passengers must be at least 40″ (102cm) tall. This is your average 4-year-old. You may bring a camera on board, but please remember that there is minimal storage on our jet boats. We will provide a certified life jacket which is mandatory for this tour. The glass dome that encloses the vessel keeps you from getting wet, so feel free to bring a camera or cellphone to record the experience!

You must arrive on site at least 45 minutes prior to departure time.

Reservations are necessary and our tours depart rain or shine. We have never cancelled a tour due to inclement weather.

Anyone under the age of 16 must ride with an adult 18 or older.

All passengers must be able to support their own weight with their arms while seated.

Expectant mothers are not permitted on our tours and we do not recommend this tour for persons with a history of heart, neck or back problems.

Over 70% of visitors rate the Holiday Inn as very good to excellent. Location is great as it’s close to the Falls and the Fallsview Casino. There is also a great selection of nearby restaurants at the Hilton Fallsview and the Casino.

It is only a six minute walk to Queen Victoria Park and fifteen minutes to the Boat ride below the Falls ticket window. If you are not interested in all the kitsch of Clifton Hill and want to be closer to the Table Rock House and Journey Behind the Falls this is the place for you!

While the Best Western is not within walking distance of the Falls we think this is a high quality hotel for the price. Reviews are almost always very good with very few complaints.

Niagara Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours offers an exhilarating ride that is not for the faint-hearted. Can you handle it?

Beginning in 1992, Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours has been safely operating tours down the Niagara River, or what local adventurers call the ‘Mount Everest’ of whitewater rapids.

It has taken over 12,000 years to form the Niagara Gorge. The Gorge was created by the turbulent waters of the Niagara River, powerful whitewater rapids form when the gorge narrows and causes the water to speed up and froth.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours operates a fleet of vessels that travel through the amazing rapids of the Niagara River safely, providing fun for the entire family!

Check-in for Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours is located on the Niagara Parkway at the Floral Clock (contact Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours for more information).

When you arrive, each member of your group must fill out a mandatory pre-trip safety orientation (anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult to sign for them to ride the boat.

The tour is not recommended for anyone with back, neck, heart, respiratory issues or osteoporosis or any other injuries. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate on Whirlpool Jet Boats.

Your guide will give a mandatory safety orientation and explain the mechanics of the jet boat as well as a brief history of the Niagara Region, local attractions and things to do.

Once all forms have been signed you will be provided rain ponchos, water shoes and lifejackets (there are changing rooms and lockers available to store valuables.)

Speed down the lower Niagara River at speeds up to 80 km/h (50 mph). You will be amazed by the 30,000+ lbs of thrust created by the turbodiesel engines of the Whirlpool Jet Boat, as you race through the Devil’s Hole Rapids and the swirling Niagara whirlpool.

You have the choice of whether to do have a Wet Jet Tour where you can enjoy the wind and water-spray on your face or the Jet Dry Tour which is a covered jet boat that will keep you dry.

The entire excursion will last about 45 minutes if you are departing from Niagara Falls, Ontario and about 60 minutes if you are departing from Niagara-On-The-Lake.
