There are a couple of different ways to get tickets to the Pallbearer 2024 Tour. Tickets to some of the tour dates will go on sale via Ticketmaster on March 22 at 10:00 am local. Stubhub is another great spot to find tickets, especially if your chosen date sells out right away. Plus, fans can benefit from the FanProtect Program, which ensures that all ticket sales on the platform are legitimate and scam-free.

It’s taken the band five years to create the new album and tour for it, mostly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the album finally came to life when all four members of the band moved in proximity to each other in their hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas.

“It’s ironic given that the album is largely centered around isolation, but it felt like it summoned us into being back together again in one town, after so long apart,” said bassist and vocalist Joseph Rowland.

This is going to be an incredible doom-metal tour, so don’t miss your chance to score tickets! Reserve your spot now to see Pallbearer live in 2024.

Pallbearer is a group that has helped define the genre of doom metal over the last few years of their career. I happened to come across their performance at Heavy MTL 2013 in Quebec, Canada, and I was so intrigued by their show that I stayed for the entire thing. They have a truly deep sound, with incredibly rhythmic and powerful chords to accompany it.

On stage, they're hypnotising. Not enough that their audience falls into a deathly trance as they start to play, they themselves seem to fall into some other dimension as they go on with the music, taking everyone listening with them. It's really raw music, a very visceral kind of tune that gets right underneath your skin. When they played 'The Ghost I Used To Be', the entire crowd went wild, and I joined them.

They have an incredibly powerful voice, and they're using to bring across their unique blend of doom and death metal. I felt like even though they had adopted these magnificently dark stage personas, the guys really enjoyed performing for such an attentive and receptive crowd, who were just waiting to absorb everything that they had to offer.

Pallbearer Announce New Album and 2024 North American Tour, Unveil “Where the Light Fades”: Stream

The post Pallbearer Announce New Album and 2024 North American Tour, Unveil “Where the Light Fades”: Stream appeared first on Consequence .

Pallbearer have announced a new album, Mind Burns Alive , and a 2024 North American tour. The doom band also dropped the video for the lead single “Where the Light Fades” ahead of the album’s May 17th release date.

The extensive tour will kick off June 6th in Memphis and runs through August 3rd in Houston. The rotating cast of support acts includes Rwake (June 6th to 9th; 29th), REZN (June 11th to 29th), Inter Arma (July 11th to August 3rd), and The Keening (all dates).

Tickets to select shows go on sale Friday (March 22nd) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Pallbearer introduce a new sound on “Where the Light Fades,” dialing back the riffs and overt doom-metal characteristics for a moody and mellower alt-rock confection. Singer-guitarist Brett Campbell becomes a true frontman here, singing honestly and plaintively above muted chords that gradually rise in volume. There’s more emphasis on lyrics and dynamics — a deliberate decision on the part of the artist.

“These songs are a deeper exploration of dynamics and sonic color than anything we have done up to this point,” said Campbell of the nearly hour-long album. “I’m of the belief that true heaviness comes from emotional weight, and sometimes sheer bludgeoning isn’t the right approach to getting a feeling across.”

Regarding the poignant lyrics, Campbell said that the tracks act as “vignettes that tell the stories of people who deal with myriad sicknesses of the spirit… illnesses communicated by the world we live in, and the subjects are the symptoms of the disease.”

Five years in the making, Mind Burns Alive was originally set to be recorded in 2020 — and then again in 2022. Both sessions fell through, and it wasn’t until all four members of Pallbearer returned to their hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas — living locally to one another — that the album came to fruition, recorded in the band’s newly constructed studio.

“It’s ironic given that the album is largely centered around isolation,” said bassist-vocalist Joseph D. Rowland, “but it felt like it summoned us into being back together again in one town, after so long apart.”

You can pre-order Mind Burns Alive via Nuclear Blast Records . Stream “Where the Light Fades” and see the album art, tracklist, and tour dates below.

Pallbearer Confirm New Album, Announce Extensive 2024 Tour

The record’s lead single “Where The Light Fades” is out now

Pallbearer band

Doom metal titans Pallbearer have confirmed their new album,  Mind Burns Alive . The album arrives on May 17 through Nuclear Blast Records. On Wednesday, the band revealed the record’s lead single, “Where The Light Fades” and its Dan Almasy-directed video. Stream the official clip below now.

Lyrically, the song eludes to what are the overall themes on the six-song album, as vocalist and guitarist Brett Campbell describes the tracks as “vignettes that tell the stories of people who deal with myriad sicknesses of the spirit… illnesses communicated by the world we live in, and the subjects are the symptoms of the disease.”

Additionally the band has simultaneously announced their most extensive North American tour since 2018. The Temporary Spaces North American Tour is a six-week trek that launches on June 6 at Growlers in Memphis, Tennessee and wraps up on August 3 at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Texas. Tickets are on-sale this Friday, March 22 at 10am local time. Very special guests for the trek include Rwake (June 6 to 9; 29), REZN (June 11 to 29), Inter Arma (July 11 to August 3), with The Keening opening on all dates.

Pallbearer are set to headline the opening night of Stumpfest X on April 11 at Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon. The band has also confirmed two special European performances: The Copenhell Metal Cruise (Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo, Norway) from 25 October to 27 October, and 16 November at Helldorado in Eindhoven, Netherlands. More European dates will be announced soon.

Brett Campbell sheds light on the band’s decision to strip everything back on the forthcoming nearly hour-long album, stating, “These songs are a deeper exploration of dynamics and sonic color than anything we have done up to this point. I’m of the belief that true heaviness comes from emotional weight, and sometimes sheer bludgeoning isn’t the right approach to getting a feeling across.”

Five years in the making, with recording initially slated for 2020, and thwarted yet again in 2022, it was 2023 that saw the band members living locally to one another in Little Rock for the first time in nine years. As a group, they self-produced the album in their own, newly constructed studio (Idlewild Audio) and at Fellowship Hall Sound. Reflecting on this, bassist/vocalist Joseph D. Rowland remarked, “It’s ironic given that the album is largely centered around isolation, but it felt like it summoned us into being back together again in one town, after so long apart.”

The forthcoming Mind Burns Alive will be available on limited edition 2-LP copper vinyl, 2-LP orange vinyl, CD and digital download. Check out the cover art, tracklisting, and all physical versions below.

Baroness, Graveyard and Pallbearer have announced the psychedelic tour you need to see in 2024

Stoner metal stalwarts Baroness, occult rockers Graveyard and proggy doom dealers Pallbearer will hit the UK and Europe together this autumn

Poster for the 2024 Graveyard and Baroness European tour

Prog/stoner metal favourites Baroness have announced a co-headline tour with occult rockers Graveyard for late 2024.

The pair will be supported by progressive doom quartet Pallbearer as they play across the UK and mainland Europe in October and November.

See the full list of dates and the poster for the tour below.

Tickets will go on sale from 10am local time on Friday, May 17.

Baroness comment: “Europe, we’re thrilled to announce our return, and to have Sweden’s Graveyard join us for these co-headlining shows.

“We’re also bringing our stateside friends, Pallbearer, with us, and we can’t wait to see some of you for the first time since Stone ’s release. ’Til the wheels fall off…”

Graveyard state: “It’s that time again! We are gearing up to hit the road together with Baroness and Pallbearer.

“This one will be a journey of sonic explorations beyond the pale. Europe will never be the same! Keep your ears to the ground, friends.”

Baroness will be touring to promote their latest album Stone , released last year to rave reviews.

Metal Hammer journalist Alex Deller gave the album a glowing 8/10 review .

Deller wrote: “More than a simple distillation or a ‘return to roots’, Stone is an ideas-heavy brute in its own right: a monument to ambition and heaviness, and to refusing to rest too long in one place lest roots or languor take hold.”

Graveyard will be promoting their new album 6 , released via Nuclear Blast Records in September, and Pallbearer will be on the road off the back of new album Mind Burns Alive , which comes out on Friday, May 17.

Doom champions Pallbearer branch out on emotionally devastating new album Mind Burns Alive

L ooking to throw your heavy metal claws aloft and mindlessly bellow “Yeaahhhhh!” at the rafters? That’s fine and all, but chances are this is not the doom you are looking for. Mind Burns Alive is Pallbearer’s most expansive and atypical work to date, and while the band have long exhibited restless, wayward traits, they’ve largely been kept in check by the steady whip hand of doom traditionalism.

Here, on the band’s fifth album, that resolve is beginning to waver. They’ve not done away with the crunch entirely, but quiet restraint is now the name of the game, and those thumps to the back of the head are tempered by prog, synths, sax and slowcore. Not unlike Patrick Walker’s journey from Warning to 40 Watt Sun, Pallbearer have managed to maintain a sense of pile-driving emotional weight, even when the music murmurs.

Cuts like Daybreak and the title track combine elegant riffing with soft, whispered croons that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Codeine or Galaxie 500 record, while the shimmer-edged Signals speaks to the blurry post-hardcore of Hum, Failure and major-label Cave In. If these sounds are at least in keeping with the album’s overriding themes – loneliness, isolation and spiralling disbelief in the face of a world that threatens to consume you – then others are more surprising.

A slick 80s sheen coats much of the album, greasing Brett Campbell’s vocals, slip-sliding into AOR-infused solos, and pooling into a plush jazz meltdown with Endless Place . Bizarrely, the mix is a triumphant one, and by the time 10-and-half-minute closing track With Disease rolls around, you’re not just intrigued but wholly invested: shoulders flexing, heart thudding in your chest, and willing those wending vocals to soar ever closer to the sun, even if it means disaster. Heck, maybe we do need that mindlessly bellowed “Yeaahhhhh!” after all?

Mind Burns Alive is out Friday May 17 via Nuclear Blast.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

Rest assured that you will be taken great care of on one of our Moscow tours. Express to Russia has a fully staffed office in Moscow that will help to make your visit fun, informative and unforgettable. Please remember that of all these tours are private and can be adjusted to your taste. You can add, replace or skip some sights; you can add more days to the package or cut the tour short. Our specialists will be glad to help you create the tour of your dreams!

Moscow, a City Like No Other

Moscow is Russia’s largest city with a population of between 12 and 13 million. It is also Europe’s largest city and when you visit Moscow, you can feel it. The layout and architecture of the city is eclectic, ranging from crooked, ancient streets and alleyways to wide, bustling boulevards, from medieval churches to Stalin skyscrapers and to modern, glass buildings towering over everything and of course in the center of it all is the Kremlin and the magnificent Red Square. Moscow is also home to a fantastic, efficient and very beautiful metro system – each station having its own special design. In fact, Express to Russia’s Moscow metro tours and excursions are some of our most popular attractions that we offer. On our Moscow tours, you will see this and more.

Moscow Tours centering on Russian History

Moscow has a long and interesting history and has been the capital of Russia in many of its different iterations – capital of the Grand Duchy of Moscow , the Russian Empire and of course the Soviet Union (who could ever forget the Soviet Union?). Moscow, was founded in the 12th century by Prince Yuri Dolgaruki (Yuri of the long arms – he really did have long arms!). From that time on, it was home to the Russian Tsars until Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg in 1703. The city has survived invasions and sieges from the Mongols, the Tartars, the Poles, Lithuanians and Napoleon but has always persevered. Our Moscow tours will enlighten you on this great history and give you insights into Muscovites and their unique culture. Our Moscow tours show you what the city is like today but also brings to life the past. Moscow never seems to sleep and is bursting with energy. A Moscow tour with Express to Russia is truly the best way of getting to know Russia’s largest and most vibrant city.

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers

What is the best time to visit moscow.

Any time of year is fine depending on what you plan to do. Summertime is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the city and its vibrant atmosphere, but Moscow will be much busier and accommodation is more expensive. Winter can be quite cold but beautiful nonetheless, and this is unproblematic if you intend to spend most of your trip in museums and galleries. There are also various festivals and events organised throughout the year. For more information about the best time to visit, read our guide

How many days are enough in Moscow?

If you plan your itinerary strategically and aren’t averse to a packed schedule, you can cover Moscow’s main sights over a long weekend. Most popular attractions are in the city centre, and the Moscow Metro allows you to cover much ground in a small amount of time. Ensure that your accommodation is fairly central and book tickets in advance, so that you can make the most of your days. For an informative and well-organised day out, check out our Moscow day tours with options to suit all interests.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. Ukraine invasion — explained

The roots of Russia's invasion of Ukraine go back decades and run deep. The current conflict is more than one country fighting to take over another; it is — in the words of one U.S. official — a shift in "the world order." Here are some helpful stories to make sense of it all.

Russia sentences opposition activist Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in prison

Russian opposition activist Vladimir Kara-Murza is escorted to a hearing in a court in Moscow, Feb. 8. He has been imprisoned in Moscow since April 2022 for speaking out against Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

A Moscow court sentenced on Monday Russian opposition activist Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in prison over his criticism of the war in Ukraine — the harshest prison term delivered yet to a government opponent since the Kremlin launched its invasion in February 2022.

U.S. calls for the immediate release of a vocal Kremlin critic detained in Moscow

U.S. calls for the immediate release of a vocal Kremlin critic detained in Moscow

With the ruling, the judges awarded prosecutors the full 25-year prison term they had requested. Kara-Murza pleaded not guilty to the charges.

"For a person who has not committed any crimes, acquittal would be the only fair verdict," Kara-Murza said at the closing session of his trial last Monday . "But I do not ask this court for anything. I know the verdict. I knew it a year ago when I saw people in black uniforms and black masks running after my car in the rearview mirror. Such is the price for speaking up in Russia today."

Kara-Murza, 41, was among a small group of high-profile opposition figures who remained in Russia, determined to be a voice for those against the war. Most are now in prison, facing lengthy sentences.

Vedant Patel, a State Department spokesperson, said in a statement that the U.S. condemns the sentencing. "Mr. Kara-Murza is yet another target of the Russian government's escalating campaign of repression.  We renew our call for Mr. Kara-Murza's release, as well as the release of the more than 400 political prisoners in Russia," Patel said.

Sickened Russian Opposition Leader Blames Poison Ordered By Russian Special Services

Kara-Murza was initially detained in April last year on charges of spreading "false information" about the Russian army. In making the initial arrest, authorities pointed to a speech Kara-Murza had given to the Arizona state legislature in which he detailed alleged atrocities committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.

Russian authorities later added charges of treason and participating in a banned pro-democracy group.

Kara-Murza's health has been a constant source of concern throughout the trial — with the dissident losing 37 pounds and suffering from numbness in his extremities.

While in pretrial detention, a doctor diagnosed the condition as polyneuropathy — a malfunctioning of peripheral nerves throughout the body. It's a condition that can be caused by many different triggers, including diseases, drugs or toxins.

Kara-Murza had suffered from two separate poisoning attacks that nearly took his life in 2015 and 2017.

"Given the sophisticated type of poison, I think it's people who have been or are connected with the Russian special services," he told NPR in a 2017 interview .

Indeed, Kara-Murza has been no stranger to the risks of opposition politics in Russia. In 2015, his friend and mentor, former deputy prime minister Boris Nemtsov, was gunned down by assassins in central Moscow.

Kara-Murza was a key figure in lobbying Congress to pass the U.S. Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act in 2016 — legislation that initially targeted those involved in the death of a whistle-blowing Russian lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, in prison.

Kara-Murza formed a close friendship with Arizona Sen. John McCain in pushing for the legislation — later serving as a pallbearer at McCain's funeral in 2018.

In a sign of the political nature of Kara-Murza's trial, one of the trio of judges had been sanctioned under the Magnitsky Act.

Yet, even from pretrial detention, Kara-Murza maintained a public presence — authoring opinion pieces for the Washington Post in which he expressed confidence that Russia would ultimately emerge from the latest repressive chapter in its history.

"The night, as you know," he wrote , "is darkest just before the light."
