Pearl Jam have announced a world tour for 2024 – here’s everything you need to know

Pearl Jam will hit the road again in 2024. There will be two ways to shop for tickets:

Ten Club Members-Only* Presale powered by Ticketmaster Request: click here to get started.

Registration Sale: click here to sign up.

Pearl Jam continues to try to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets by providing the majority of tickets to its Ten Club members where possible and selling approximately 10% of tickets through ‘PJ Premium’ at the market rate to offset increased costs.

They also want to ensure that fans get their tickets at the price intended. To achieve this, Pearl Jam has decided that tickets are non-transferable – this means that on the night of the show, all guests will be required to enter with the ticket purchaser. Fans that cannot use their tickets are welcome to sell them via Ticketmaster at the price originally paid, with no additional fees for the seller or buyer.

*Eligibility: Only paid Ten Club members active as of Monday, 12 February are eligible to participate in this presale. 

To participate in the Ten Club Members-Only Presale, you must place your ticket request by 15:00 GMT on Friday 16 February.

To participate in the Registration Sale, you must register by 11:59 local time on Sunday 18 February.

Pearl Jam Announce ‘Dark Matter’ World Tour

Hours after dropping their new single “Dark Matter,” Pearl Jam have rolled out details of their new LP along with dates for a 35-date world tour, which kicks off May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wraps November 21 in Sydney, Australia.

Dark Matter will hit shelves on April 19. It was produced by Andrew Watt and recorded over just three weeks at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. The album was unveiled to the public on January 31 during a listening event at the Troubadour in Los Angeles that the band attended.

“I’m getting chills,” Vedder told the crowd, “because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful, and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

The tour will hit nine countries all across the globe and will ultimately be their longest run of shows in a calendar year since 2009. They’ll be joined by Deep Sea Diver on the first North American leg, Glen Hansard on the second North American leg, the Murder Capitol in Europe and parts of England, Richard Ashcroft in Dublin and London, and Pixies in Australia and New Zealand.

Pearl Jam have announced the details of a huge world tour this year.

The grunge legends have announced the details of their 12th studio album, Dark Matter, - released on 19th April via Monkeywrench Records - along with its title track and lead single.

Now they have shared their plans to support the new record with live dates, which will see them perform in several countries across the globe, covering North America, Europe, the UK and Australia.

Eddie Vedder , Jeff Ament , Mike McCreedy and Matt Cameron will kick off their dates in Vancouver on 4th May, before heading to Europe where they will play the likes of Manchester Co-op Live and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Support on their UK & Ireland shows come from The Murder Capital and Richard Ashcroft.

Pearl Jam to perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

We are delighted to announce that legendary US rock band Pearl Jam will perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 29 June as part of the Dark Matter World Tour 2024.

This will be the only stadium show taking place in the UK during the 41-date Tour, with Richard Ashcroft and The Murder Capital serving as support acts.

Tickets will be available in two ways:

• A Ten Club members-only presale will be held through Ticketmaster Request for eligible members. Only paid Ten Club members active as of Monday 12 February are eligible to participate in this presale. More info at pearljam.com
• Fans can register for a chance to participate in the Dark Matter World Tour 2024 registration sale at shops.ticketmasterpartners.com/pearl-jam by Sunday 18 February at 11:59 PM. This will be the only way for fans to participate in the on-sale. Registration does not guarantee access to the sale.

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Fresh from detailing their 12th studio album ‘Dark Matter’ and premiering the title track this morning (13th February), Pearl Jam have announced shows in England and Ireland for summer 2024.

The Seattle rock heroes will perform at Dublin Marlay Park on Saturday 22nd June, Manchester’s brand new venue Co-op Live on Tuesday 25th June, and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 29th June.

The support act in London and Dublin will be former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft.

The trio of concerts are part of Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter World Tour, which takes place in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand throughout 2024.

Pearl Jam’s last performances in the UK took place in July 2022 when they headlined two nights at BST Hyde Park .

‘Dark Matter’ is Pearl Jam’s first album since 2020’s ‘Gigaton’, and it was produced by Grammy Award winner Andrew Watt, who has helmed acclaimed records by Ozzy Osbourne, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and Eddie Vedder in recent years.

Pearl Jam recorded the 11-track album at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu over the course of three weeks in 2023.

The band premiered the album at an exclusive listening party at The Troubadour in Los Angeles in January where Eddie Vedder hailed it as Pearl Jam’s “best work.”

A description of the album reads: ‘Writing and recording in a burst of inspiration, ‘Dark Matter’ was born in just three weeks. As a result, ‘Dark Matter’ channels the shared spirit of a group of lifelong creative confidants and brothers in one room playing as if their very lives depended on it.”

The ‘Dark Matter’ album cover is adorned with striking artwork by acclaimed light painter Alexandr Gnezdilov.

Pearl Jam announce new album Dark Matter and 2024 world tour

Huge Pearl Jam news! The Seattle legends will be releasing their 12th album Dark Matter on April 19 before heading out on a massive world tour.

Just as the band recently promised, brand-new Pearl Jam music has officially arrived… along with some absolutely mega news.

The Seattle icons have made a huge announcement, confirming that their 12th album Dark Matter – the follow-up to 2020’s 5/5-rated Gigaton – will be released on April 19 via Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records. It was produced by Andrew Watt, and its creative process was seemingly quite a happy surprise: a press release details how Dark Matter was made in ‘just three weeks at Shangri-La Studios with the entire band playing together with a burst of inspiration’.

Speaking about the record in West Hollywood recently, frontman Eddie Vedder enthused: “I’m getting chills, because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

“What Ed said about getting us in a room at this point, we felt like we were about to make a really important record,” added Jeff Ament. “A lot of that had to do with the atmosphere Andrew set up. He has encyclopaedic knowledge of our history, not only as a band and how we wrote songs, but as players. He could pinpoint things we did on old songs to the point where I was like, ‘What the fuck is he talking about?’ His excitement was contagious. He’s a force. I just want to say thanks for keeping us on track. I couldn’t be prouder of us as a band. I feel so grateful for the fans, but mostly for my brothers and these people I’ve made music with.”

Pearl Jam continues to try to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets by providing the majority of tickets to its Ten Club members where possible, making tickets non-transferable where permitted, and by selling approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium at the market rate to offset increased costs. Tickets on this tour will continue to be non-transferable in all states except where it is prohibited by law, such as New York and Illinois. Unfortunately, fans in those states may be subject to increased ticket prices if they choose to purchase on the secondary market.

What is ticketmaster request.

Pearl Jam is using Ticketmaster Request to power this fan club presale. Ticketmaster Request is a simple way to request tickets to popular shows, so you don’t have to compete in a first-come, first-served sale. You can take your time to review the available options and request the right tickets for you. All you need to do is tell us which show(s) you’re interested in, the type of ticket you want and your payment details. If tickets that match your request are available, your card will be charged, and we’ll email you instructions on how to view them. Note: each show you are confirmed for will be charged separately by Ticketmaster; the charge will appear as Ticketmaster*Pearl Jam.

How does the Ten Club ticket request work?

Complete your request in three easy steps. First, tell us what shows and tickets you’re interested in. Then, provide a credit card to complete your ticket request. If your request is fulfilled, your card will be charged and we’ll email you a confirmation with instructions on how to view your tickets during the week of February 19. Note: tickets will not show in your Ticketmaster account until all seating assignments are finalized.

How do I unlock access to the Ten Club ticket request?

Eligible Ten Club members will receive an email from Ten Club with the info. You can also find the presale info on the Ten Club Member News page. The Ten Club ticket request is for eligible Ten Club members only with active membership accounts as of Monday, February 12, 2024.

Is there a cutoff date to become a Ten Club member for the ticket request presale?

Yes. All fans must be a Ten Club paid member, current as of Monday, February 12, 2024. However, all fans can register for the chance to access the general sale on February 23 — tap here to get started.

Can I request tickets for more than one city?

Yes. By submitting a ticket request for any show, you are committing to purchase the ticket(s) should your request be fulfilled. For example, if you enter for five shows, it is possible your request can be fulfilled for all five shows in which case your credit card will immediately be charged for tickets to all five shows. However, you can only purchase up to two Ten Club tickets for each individual show. All tickets will be non-transferable in all states except where it is prohibited by law.

Can I get tickets to both shows in a city that has multiple performance dates?

Yes. For cities where there are two performance dates, you can request and may be confirmed for both shows, except in New York, where you can only be confirmed for one show.

Why can I no longer prioritize my shows?

Based on fan feedback, the prioritization tool caused confusion. Only request tickets for shows you can definitely attend.

My friend and I are both Ten Club Members. We both want to request a pair of tickets each. Can we both submit our requests using the same Ticketmaster account?

No, each member must request tickets using their own Ticketmaster account.

How will tickets be determined for Ten Club members?

To level the playing field, ticket requests are fulfilled in a randomized selection process. If selected for seated tickets, tickets will be assigned based on Ten Club seniority within the purchased price level.

Where are the tickets located?

Ten Club tickets are located in a variety of ticket types and locations. We anticipate greater demand for tickets than are tickets available. To better your chances of getting Ten Club tickets, select as many ticket options as you are willing to purchase.

What is the GA Pit or Reserved - Standing or Seating option?

Select this option if you are willing to stand in GA or sit through the show as you may be selected for either. If selected for GA standing tickets, you will receive early entry at a predetermined GA only door, at venues where early entry is permitted. If selected for Reserved Seating, your tickets will be assigned based on seniority in Ten Club.

What is the Reserved - Seating option?

In most venues, Ten Club reserved seated tickets will be available in two price levels. Reserved seated tickets are assigned to members based on seniority in the Ten Club within the purchased price level and will start closest to the stage extending back and include seats down on the arena floor. Ten Club ticketed areas will be highlighted on the seating chart during the ticket request process. Due to high demand at many of these shows, Ten Club seats can be located in some of the upper sections. Members with reserved tickets will enter the venue at the regular door time.

Why does Ten Club have seats in the upper areas?

Many venues have contractual partner programs which guarantee their subscribers access to some of the prime locations across all events in the building, including Pearl Jam shows. This is a contractual arrangement and is outside of Ten Club’s control. In some venues Ten Club must hold seats in higher sections to make up for the loss of ticket inventory in the lower areas.

What types of ADA Seating are available?

ADA seating is available through Ticketmaster Request during the seat selection process. Locations will vary by venue and are typically very limited. There is no ADA seating in the GA PIT at any of the shows.

Can I transfer or sell tickets I can’t use?

All tickets are non-transferable* and non-refundable.

Pearl Jam has asked Ticketmaster to ensure their fans have access to tickets at face value and to achieve this they have directed that tickets be restricted from transfer.* On the night of the show, all guests will be required to enter with the ticket purchaser. For fans that can’t use the tickets they have purchased, Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster will offer a Fan-to-Fan Face Value Ticket Exchange for every city beginning at a later date.*

What should I do if I’m buying tickets for a show in Chicago, IL and New York, NY?

Chicago, IL and New York, NY have laws that prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets. For shows in these states, Pearl Jam strongly encourages fans to choose to only buy or sell tickets to one another on face value exchanges — including Ticketmaster’s Fan-to-Fan Face Value Exchange.

Is there a deadline to list my tickets for sale on the Face Value Exchange for Pearl Jam?

Tickets may be listed up until one hour after the event start time*. However, the sooner you can list your tickets on the Exchange the better opportunity for them to be purchased by another fan. Once it’s been an hour since the event started, any tickets that have not sold will be placed back into your account and will be available for you to use.

*Boston’s Fenway Park – Face Value Exchange will officially close 10 days prior to each event. Tickets cannot be sold or purchased on the Face Value Exchange after that time.

What happens if my tickets don’t sell for Pearl Jam?

Your tickets will remain available for purchase until one hour after the start of the event*. Once that time has passed, any tickets that have not sold will be placed back into your account and will be available for you to use.

Why are tickets non-transferable in some cities and not in others?

Local laws around resale as well as technical ticketing capabilities vary in different venues, states, and countries, therefore transferability will vary throughout the tour.

Are international fans able to request tickets to shows in North America ?

Yes, eligible international fans who create a Ticketmaster.com account can submit a Ten Club ticket request. Pearl Jam kicked off their 2024 world tour in Vancouver on Saturday (May 4), playing several songs from new album ‘ Dark Matter ’ for the first time. Check out footage below.

The band played a 25-song set at the Rogers Arena, including a total of nine tracks from their recently-released 12th album, seven of which graced a setlist for the first time ever.

Also played at the show were early classics including ‘Alive’, ‘Black’ and ‘Daughter’, as well as deeper cuts like ‘Leatherman’, at the request of drummer Matt Cameron, and covers of Neil Young ’s ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’, Tom Petty ’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ and Mother Love Bone’s ‘Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns’.

The Seattle band announced the tour back in February , and it will continue around North America for the rest of May, before heading to Europe and the UK. Those shows include Manchester’s Co-Op Live on June 25 and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 29, preceded by Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 22. NME  gave ‘Dark Matter’  a glowing four-star review , and praised it as “some of their strongest work in recent memory”.

“For those longing for the charismatic songwriting that first put the band on the map over three decades ago, ‘Dark Matter’ will come as a pleasant surprise,” it read. “Not only does it showcase Pearl Jam reclaiming the charm that first made them a force to be reckoned with back in 1991, it comes alongside some of their most impressive musicianship yet, as well as a determination to take risks after years of playing it safe.”

Eddie Vedder recently said that  he thinks the band have “one or two” good records left in them  after ‘Dark Matter’.

“The older you get the better you are at living in the present,” he said. “The understanding you have less time is the biggest number in the quotient. The goal is to keep making music.”

The band’s drummer Matt Cameron has also been speaking about the time that he received a cease-and-desist letter from KISS as a teenager .

Next month, Pearl Jam will arrive on British shores for a huge show at north London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the sort of mammoth venue that has long been custom for Eddie Vedder’s crew. It is a far cry from where they played their first ever UK gig back at the beginning of 1992. Whilst it’s assumed by many that Pearl Jam’s first performance on British soil took place at London’s Borderline, they had actually played a small club in Southend-on-Sea the night before.

That’s right, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The home of the world’s longest pleasure pier (a mile and a third, pier fact fans), the home of the end credits to Minder (on the world’s longest pleasure pier), the home of Adventure Island (formerly Peter Pan’s Playground), where Depeche Mode played their earliest shows and where the face of Wilko Johnson can be seen on the pub sign hanging on the now-closed Railway Hotel, and where Oasis filmed their classic concert film Live By The Sea . I mean, when you read all that, it’s like, ‘Of course Pearl Jam wanted their first ever UK show to be in Southend!’ (can you tell that this writer lives in Southend?)

The gig took place at the Esplanade on the 3rd February, 1992, almost six months after the release of Pearl Jam's era-defining debut Ten . Presumably, it was booked long enough in advance that Ten hadn’t yet taken off but by the time the group arrived for their British bow on the stretch of coast where the Thames turns into the North Sea, everyone in the crowd knew the words to every song. As you can hear in the live bootleg below, recorded by someone in the crowd, they are taken aback at just how much their music has travelled, Vedder telling the crowd that he finds it “weird” people know the lyrics.

For someone who was still in the stages of getting used to being a well-known frontman, Vedder was in a chatty moon. At one point, an audience member requests the group play the Vedder-featuring Temple Of The Dog cut Hunger Strike and he pipes up. “Mr Cornell, are you here,” he jokes, searching the crowd for his vocal partner on the song. “If Chris is here, we’ll play it.” There’s another nod to Cornell later in the set when the band break into the riff from Soundgarden ’s Outshined . The set is, understandably, mostly pulled from Ten but there are airings for State Of Love And Trust and Breath , which Pearl Jam recorded for the Singles soundtrack, as well as an early version of Leash , which would feature on their second record Vs .

It must have been some night for the 300 audience members in attendance – Pearl Jam would never a venue that intimate again. And even if they wanted to, they could never play at the Esplanade again – it was knocked down after a fire in 2018 and a fancy new apartment block was built on the site. There is a swish restaurant on the ground floor, though, so maybe Pearl Jam could come down for dinner and revisit the scene of their first UK show. My treat. Hear a recording from the gig below:

Pearl Jam kicked off their 2024 tour in Vancouver on Saturday night with a rousing 25-song performance.

The show kicked off with “Wash” from their Lost Dogs compilation and was followed by performances of “Low Light,” “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town,” and “Given to Fly.” From there, Pearl Jam showcased material from their new album, Dark Matter , with “Scared of Fear,” “React, Respond,” “Wreckage,” and “Dark Matter,” and then dusted off “Leatherman” at the request of drummer Matt Cameron for the first time in eight years.

The second half of Pearl Jam’s set consisted of songs like “Corduroy,” “Red Mosquito,” a cover of Mother Love Bone’s “Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns,” and “Porch,” with the encore featuring performances of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down,” “Black,” “Do the Evolution,” “Something Special,” “Alive,” Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World,” “Yellow Ledbetter,” and “Setting Sun.”

Pearl Jam will return to the stage in Vancouver for another show on Monday, May 6th, before crossing the border into the US for dates in Portland, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and more.
