The Red Hot Summer Tour Returns To Sort Unfinished Business

red hot summer tour unfinished business

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is back in 2022 to sort Unfinished Business with the return of its 10th anniversary line-up headlined by ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Hunters & Collectors , with special guests James Reyne , The Living End , The Angels , Baby Animals , Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera . With dates from February to May 2022, the tour will visit New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

Organisers are excited to announce the 2022 tour, something they have been working on solidly for the past 18-months. “We are thrilled to be able to return to the stage in 2022 with this magnificent line-up and revisit many of the shows that were lost to COVID,” says promoter Duane McDonald. “We continue to be blown away by the support we have received from audiences. To everyone who has and continues to support us and the live music industry, you are the reason we do what we do and keep creating these memories. We can’t wait to see you in 2022.”

Returning to the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR stage in 2022, Hunters & Collectors performances are a rare thing indeed and a huge coup for music fans. The legendary band disbanded over two decades ago and have only performed again a handful of times since – notably at The Sound Relief Concert in 2009 and a brief run five years ago. Banding together again specifically for the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is apt, considering that Hunters & Collectors voracious live performances are so well suited in a festival environment. With smash hit songs such as When The River Runs Dry , Say Goodbye , Do You See What I See , True Tears Of Joy , Holy Grail and the anthemic Throw Your Arms Around Me , Hunters & Collectors have sold over one million albums spawning 19 hit singles.

James Reyne has been treading the boards in the rock halls of Australian music for decades. From his time fronting the legendary Australian Crawl through to his successful solo career, James’ music is part of Australian history. As a prolific songwriter and strong vocalist, it’s no surprise that James has won accolade after accolade for his contribution to music. When Australian Crawl split in the mid-1980s, James embarked on a successful solo career. James Reye stands alone within an elite cluster of exclusive Australian performers.

The Living End are considered Australian rock royalty, and for good reason. Their blistering live performances have seen them perform far and wide, and their reputation precedes them, they rock from the first note to the last. When The Living End first smashed onto the scene in 1997 with their double-A single Prisoner of Society and Second Solution , they embraced a new Australian sound and fans and critics sat up and listened. Since then they have released seven studio albums, two of which have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart – four of those are Platinum and two are Gold. They have been nominated for an incredible 27 ARIA Awards.

When it comes to great Aussie rock, it doesn’t come much better than The Angels . It’s been over four decades since brothers Rick and John Brewster co-founded the iconic band and have penned some of Australia’s most anthemic tracks. The Angels are widely reputed for their killer live shows. With hits like Long Line , Marseille , Be With You , After the Rain , Shadow Boxer and Mr Damage to name a few. Audiences have always loved seeing The Angels on the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR and 2022 promises to really rock!

Baby Animals burst onto the Australian scene in the 1990s with a solid rock force and a sassy lead singer. Suze DeMarchi proved that girls could rock just as hard as guys and the Baby Animals soon kicked some impressive rock butt with hits such as Rush You , Early Warning and One Word . The band scored themselves ARIA awards for best album and toured the globe. When they split in the mid-1990s they ended a special era of Australian music. The band’s recent reformation and inclusion again on the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR line-up is an opportunity for music fans to see their original rock at its best.

Killing Heidi celebrated an auspicious anniversary in 2020, two decades since the release of their rock-pop debut Reflector . The smash hit singles – including Weir and Mascara – embedded the album in Australian music history, took out four ARIA awards and reached four times platinum status. It also catapulted Killing Heidi and its teen musicians – Ella and Jesse Hooper – into international superstar status. The Hooper siblings were revered for their song writing prowess and their subsequent albums earned them critical acclaim.

In 2020, Boom Crash Opera celebrated the 30th anniversary of their ARIA Top 10 album These Are Crazy Times , which spawned smash singles such as Onion Skin , The Best Thing , Talk About It , Get Out Of The House and Dancing In The Storm . Audiences at the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR will be treated to all the hits, with Dale Ryder at the helm, including Hands Up In The Air , Her Charity , Love Me To Death and Great Wall to name a few. Boom Crash Opera certainly make any festival a party and the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR in 2022 will be unforgettable.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is always a sell-out and bringing this massive line up back to the stage in 2022 will see tickets go fast! With some of these shows rescheduled from 2020, there are only limited tickets available. Don’t miss these very special shows.

Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday 14th October 2021 via Ticketmaster. Tickets are only available through authorised ticket outlets listed. Patrons are advised not to purchase tickets from Viagogo or other Third Party Sellers, as fraudulent tickets will not be honoured.

With smash hit songs such as When The River Runs Dry, Say Goodbye, Do You See What I See, True Tears Of Joy, Holy Grail and the anthemic Throw Your Arms Around Me, Hunters & Collectors have sold over one million albums spawning 19 hit singles.

James Reyne

James Reyne has been treading the boards in the rock halls of Australian music for decades. From his time fronting the legendary Australian Crawl through to his successful solo career, James’ music is part of Australian history. As a prolific songwriter and strong vocalist, it’s no surprise that James has won accolade after accolade for his contribution to music. When Australian Crawl split in the mid-1980s, James embarked on a successful solo career. James Reyne stands alone within an elite cluster of exclusive Australian performers.

The Living End

The Living End are considered Australian rock royalty, and for good reason. Their blistering live performances have seen them perform far and wide, and their reputation precedes them, they rock from the first note to the last. When The Living End first smashed onto the scene in 1997 with their double-A single Prisoner of Society and Second Solution , they embraced a new Australian sound and fans and critics sat up and listened. Since then they have released seven studio albums, two of which have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart – four of those are Platinum and two are Gold . They have been nominated for an incredible 27 ARIA Awards.

When it comes to great aussie rock, it doesn’t come much better than the angels . it’s been over four decades since brothers rick and john brewster co-founded the iconic band and have penned some of australia’s most anthemic tracks. the angels are widely reputed for their killer live shows. with hits like long line, marseille, be with you, after the rain, shadow boxer and mr damage to name a few. audiences have always loved seeing the angels on the red hot summer tour and 2022 promises to really rock.

Baby Animals

Baby Animals burst onto the Australian scene in the 1990s with a solid rock force and a sassy lead singer. Suze DeMarchi proved that girls could rock just as hard as guys and the Baby Animals soon kicked some impressive rock butt with hits such as Rush You, Early Warning and One Word.

Killing Heidi

Killing Heidi celebrated an auspicious anniversary in 2020, two decades since the release of their rock-pop debut Reflector. The smash hit singles – including Weir and Mascara – embedded the album in Australian music history, took out four ARIA awards and reached four times platinum status. It also catapulted Killing Heidi and its teen musicians – Ella and Jesse Hooper – into international superstar status. The Hooper siblings were revered for their songwriting prowess and their subsequent albums earned them critical acclaim.

BOOM CRASH OPERA

In 2020, Boom Crash Opera celebrated the 30th anniversary of their ARIA Top 10 album These Are Crazy Times , which spawned smash singles such as Onion Skin, The Best Thing, Talk About It, Get Out Of The House and Dancing In The Storm. Audiences at the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR will be treated to all the hits, with Dale Ryder at the helm, including Hands Up In The Air, Her Charity, Love Me To Death and Great Wall to name a few. Boom Crash Opera certainly make any festival a party and the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR in 2022 will be unforgettable.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .

Cool in the summer, warm in the winter

Experiance you must have... It is not a type of public transport it is a history museum with true arts and craft work. Trains arrive every 2 minutes, maps and signs in Russian and English, very easy to find right lane and exit. Works toll early morning (1am last train leave start of the line). Very reliable way of travel around Moscow any time and day.

travelled from Proletarskaya, Metro Mall to Kuznetsky Most vis Libyanka Station in the Europe's oldest Metro Tube, Oh My God what an experience. Never seen such fast tube through such a complex tube network. It is fast. It is most in-expensive and it takes you there in almost a jiffy. Reaching Red Square from the Metreo Mall Station - Proletarskaya was such a NO-TIME travel and comfortable too. However it was not as clean as the Delhi Metro, if you are used to travelling in Delhi Metro. One has to be a Russian literate to pass through the maze of stations as asking for directions from the non-English speaking public is quite a Herculean task. Maybe the use of hands, the eye contact and a hard copy of Printed City map will help as it did to us. We also experienced climbing the steepest escalator in the process. But is was quite an experience. Every Station warned you of 'Beware of Pickpockets', but we did not experience any of such sorts, maybe we were lucky.

red hot summer tour unfinished business

This does not disappoint. The Soviet era artwork, be it mosaic, chandalier or statue, is fantastic. The scale of it all really takes your breath away. We toured line 5 (effectively, the circle line) on a Sunday evening before dinner and alighted in every station for jaw-dropping photos and sites. This takes roughly an hour to complete and each station is different, with many stations having certain themes. Just don't try this in the rush-hour! Entry is one price - 50 Roubles. There are ATM style machines to get a ticket and the language can be changed to English. The best thing about the whole Metro is the fact that there is no graffiti or vandalism; every Moscovite respects their heritage.

My friend and I were staying in Moscow and visiting all the main attractions in a group. This did not include the Metro METPO so we decided to try the system, having been informed that this was worth a visit. The Brown line - a circle around the city- was our choice and the concierge at our hotel coloured in the best stations on the map. Buying tickets was easy and cheap at 50 roubles for one ride (50p). The hardest part was reading the long Russian words quickly enough, but we soon worked that out by counting stops!! The platforms are deep below ground with excellent escalators. They are very wide, room for thousands of commuters daily - avoid the rush hour - and some are spectacular. Marble walls, statues. along the platforms and chandeliers hanging along the main areas. The trains are very frequent, wider than the London underground but rather old and battered, rattly. Warnings of pickpockets abound, but we felt very safe. A good experience for 50p!!

Moscow Metro is defintiely a must see in this city. It is a public museum open 20 hours a day. Every station is a surprise. I would have spent weeks exploring each single station. The Metro service is absolutely excellent, always on time, very frequent trains. I always felt very safe both during the day and the night. Great!

its hard to believe you are in a rail way station - it is just so so beautiful and jaw dropping in the detail of the mosaics and paintings

A wonderful self guided tour

This is a very low cost tour if you do it yourself. A ticket costs only 40 Roubles and you can see all the stations if you like. The best ones are on the circle line. Start at one of them and travel in a circle hopping off at each station to take photos. If you are in one of the front carriages, you will be able to preview each station as they come into view. Also get on the blue line (3) and look at some of the stations on this line.

The Moscow Metro runs trains every 90 seconds, 24/7, at every stop. They have crews standing by to fix any problems. It is extensive, with more than a dozen lines going all over the city. Each station has unique architecture and all are beautiful. The Metro is its own attraction - besides being THE best way to get around the city. Oh, and the fee is very cheap!

When first seeing the map, I thought it was complicated, but then realized the concept was genius. There are many lines but the interconnections are just by the red circle. The train came between 1.5-2 minutes, very efficient. The challenge is you need to read Cyrillic letters to make it easy to travel. One should just understand the final destination and the interconnecting red line stations to transit. If you can read Cyrillic, there is not even a need to know which lines to interconnect by knowing the last station like the logic in Singapore/Bangkok/Manila/Hongkong MRT. Just know the destinations for transit of red circle line and final destination, and look at the board hanging above the walk way. When you have not reached the destination, don't go out to the exit. If you walk towards exit before the final destination, it means you are walking the wrong way. For non-Cyrillic readers, just know the name of transit red line stations and final destinations. Plenty of non-English speaking police, so just ask them the name of next station you intend to go. Price for one way ticket is RUR 40, and 5 trips RUR 180. Can be bought at vending machines (English available) or ticket counter (may not speak English). There is also option for multiple transport (bus, metro, electric car) for RUR 50, but each type of transport can only be taken once in total not more than 90 minutes. Trains are combination of old and new ones. New ones even have free WIFI. If you don't read Cyrillic, you need to concentrate on the voice of station in each arrival or just count stations by the map. For people traveling with heavy baggage, need to understand that there may be numerous stairways to negotiate with and the escalators are steep as usually Metro stations are deep underground.

The stations are lovely, but you won't be in them long. The train are efficient and usually come in under 5 minutes, 2 minutes was normal. The train range from old to new. Some have English signs; others no. Stations do no have English. There is a small map posted in every station on a small standing post. You should learn the Cyrillic alphabet and know how many stops you will be going. This will help you immensely. Changes at stations can take some time. Often you go ALL the way up to street level to come back down. Stations are VERY deep underground.

If you do not carry any heavy luggage, definitively use the metro. Fastest possible way for moving around this megapolis. You'll never wait for more than 5mins for the train. If you do not like to be really close to the people either do not fo there or avoid rush hours.

We only popped down because we were told we should. I wasn't exactly excited frankly as I regularly frequent our own lovely underground. But. But. It was amazing! Like an underground palace (with trains) Possibly could have done without the random pole dancing from an excitable male pensioner but hey, no one else seemed to think it was odd. Take a trip down there, just travel one stop, it is well worth it.

HUNTERS & COLLECTORS, JAMES REYNE, THE LIVING END, THE ANGELS, BABY ANIMALS, KILLING HEIDI & BOOM CRASH OPERA

Tickets go on sale from 10am local time thursday 14 th  october 2021.

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is back in 2022 to sort  Unfinished Business  with the return of its 10 th  anniversary line-up headlined by ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Hunters & Collectors, with special guests James Reyne, The Living End, The Angels, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera.

Returning to the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR stage in 2022 ,  Hunters & Collectors  performances are a rare thing indeed and a huge coup for music fans. With smash hit songs such as  When The River Runs Dry, Say Goodbye, Do You See What I See, True Tears Of Joy, Holy Grail  and the anthemic  Throw Your Arms Around Me , Hunters & Collectors have sold over one million albums spawning 19 hit singles.

With hits like  Long Line, Marseille, Be With You, After the Rain, Shadow Boxer  and  Mr Damage  to name a few. Audiences have always loved seeing The Angels on the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR and 2022 promises to really rock!

Baby Animals  burst onto the Australian scene in the 1990s with a solid rock force and a sassy lead singer. Suze DeMarchi proved that girls could rock just as hard as guys and the Baby Animals soon kicked some impressive rock butt with hits such as  Rush You, Early Warning  and  One Word .

The Hooper siblings were revered for their songwriting prowess and their subsequent albums earned them critical acclaim.

In 2020,  Boom Crash Opera  celebrated the 30 th  anniversary of their ARIA Top 10 album  These Are Crazy Times,  which spawned smash singles such as  Onion Skin, The Best Thing, Talk About It, Get Out Of The House  and  Dancing In The Storm .

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is always a sell-out and bringing this massive line up back to the stage in 2022 will see tickets go fast! With some of these shows rescheduled from 2020, there are only limited tickets available. Don’t miss these very special shows.

Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday 14 th  October 2021 via Ticketmaster. Tickets are only available through authorised ticket outlets listed. Patrons are advised not to purchase tickets from Viagogo or other Third Party Sellers, as fraudulent tickets will not be honoured.
