Often people attend Mass at a Parish for months or sometimes years, but never officially register as a parishioner. Registering is the expression of your commitment to being part of our Parish community.

Being a registered parishioner also makes the process much simpler when it is time for receiving sacraments, registering for faith formation, sponsoring a sacrament recipient, and even planning funerals. A registered parishioner also receives all Parish mailings as well as other Parish news.

Registering is easy!  Just complete the online registration. Or you may download and print the forms below and then return them to St. Martin of Tours Parish Office. You may also simply scan and email them to the Parish Office.

Parish Religious Education Program

Registration for PREP 2024-2025 will be open in March

  2024-2025 PREP Dates:

June 24-28: 8:30am-2:00pm

October 6, November 10, December 8,

January 12, February 9, and March 9: 9:30am-10:45am.

The St. Martin of Tours Religious Education Program strives to provide a faith-filled learning environmen t modeled on the compassion, joy, and challenge of Jesus.  Unless a child attends a Catholic school, parents are encou raged to enroll their children in the St. Martin of Tours Religious Education Program. Attendance in our PREP Program or a Catholic School for two consecutive years is a pre-requisite to receiving the Sacraments of Penance, First Eucharist, and Confirmation as prescribed by the Church.  Participation in the Religious Education Program ensures a consistent course of learning in accordance with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Archdiocesan guidelines.  We invite all to share in this vision willingly and to embrace the following goals of the program:

To teach as Jesus did and share the basic elements of the Catholic Christian faith

To build a community of faith among faculty, students and parents.

To develop a sense of prayer, liturgy, and service within our faith.

To help parents fulfill their roles as primary religious educators of their children through the school year Enrichment Program, parent meetings regarding Sacramental preparation, and by being available to help in any way when requested.

To encourage families to participate in the educational, spiritual, liturgical, and social life of the St. Martin of Tours Parish Community.

To provide a faith community experience for each child as they journey in their faith. This community experience is most necessary and mandated for the years of immediate preparation for the sacraments.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

St. Martin of Tours Parish Religious Education Program, staffed by paid, experienced faculty, exists as a service to our parish community. PREP encourages children to perform good works for others without seeking reward. St. Martin of Tours PREP Program is open to children grades 1-7 and is held for one week in June. PREP also continues into the school year. These are known as "Enrichment Classes". These classes run one Sunday a month from October to March. These classes enrich our children's Catholic education throughout the year and help prepare them for sacraments. 

REGISTRATION

PREP Registration begins in March and closes in mid-April for a June class start date. PREP families must be registered as parishioners of St. Martin of Tours Church, and a Baptismal certificate/s must be presented for verification at the time of registration unless the child was baptized at St. Martin of Tours Church. 

Non-parishioners need to submit a letter of permission from their Pastor or DRE with their registration form/s. 

Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.

A financial concern should not prevent children’s registration in our program.  If there is a difficulty, please contact Fr. Kindon at 215-862-5472.

This fee covers the cost of each student’s textbook, classroom and art supplies, audiovisual purchases, resource materials, catechist training, facility costs, stipends for teachers, and other miscellaneous items.

A replacement fee of $20 is charged for lost books.

Entering the Program

All of our programs are structured around faithfulness to the Sunday Mass, frequent celebrations of the sacraments, and the role of the family as the Domestic Church.  We are here to help you in your vocation as Christian mothers and fathers.  The focus is not on classroom learning but a living faith in the context of the parish and the home.

Just like last year, in the 2023/2024 school year we will offer a Family Program .  In the past, we had a very successful family program called FIRE (Family Intergenerational Religious Education).  The program we will be using is called Family Faith Formation and it combines monthly classroom lessons and weekly home lessons. This enables parents to be the primary educators in Faith Formation while passing on the Catholic Faith to your children.  Parents and children will learn aspects of our beautiful Faith together.

As always, we are looking for Volunteers! Please, if you could teach a class, substitute teach when needed, or help as a hall monitor, we are desperate need! Volunteers receive a discount on the registration fee.

Fall 2023 registration:  Registration is available via Self-Service .

Add/Drop Process:  An add/drop form should only be utilized when absolutely necessary. If an add/drop form is necessary, the student should fill it out, and forward it to either advisor and/or instructor (depending on the reason for the form). The authorized signatory will then take action on the form and forward it to the Office of the Registrar at the [email protected] email from their Saint Martin's email account. Requests for change of major, cross campus enrollment, etc: All forms will follow the same process listed above for add/drop forms. Forms link can be found below.

Verification and/or certification:  Forms that need processing can be sent to [email protected] and we will be responding as necessary and in the order they are received. All emails need to be sent through the registrar email account.

Transcripts: Transcripts will be available through our online ordering service only ( tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org/school/welcome ) and will have an estimated processing time of seven to 10 business days. No expedited or overnight processing at this time. 

Transcript orders: At this time, you must submit all requests through the National Student Clearinghouse. We anticipate processing times to be seven to 10 business days. Expedited and overnight mailing is suspended until further notice. Order a transcript

Commencement information:  The University is taking the safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors very seriously.  Commencement for Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020 graduates will be held sometime in May 2021.  Notifications will be sent out with more information.
