Subway Surfers heads to Cairo in the game's latest update
The popular endless runner game Subway Surfers has received yet another content update, and this time the gang are heading to the ancient land of Egypt and specifically the city of Cairo.
Here's the change log for the new 1.29.0 update:

Subway Surfers World Tour: Underwater 2024 is the 181st World Tour of Subway Surfers and the 186th installment of the game. This update releases two new characters: Finn and Electra . Koral and Cathy have new outfits: Sub Explorer and Seaside. Also this update includes four new hoverboards: Jelly Board , Yellow Sub , Koinobori and Mayo Mania .
This update was released on April 22, 2024.
- This is the 6th update of 2024 .
- This is the first unknown continent update of 2024 .
- This is the 1st time an edition from 2023 was re-released.
- This is the first 2024 update to reuse everything as the previous release.
- Finn and Electra aren't in Subway Studio . This also happen on Alba , Carlos , Cathy , Lucky , Meggan , Red Panda , Hamza , Faiza and Teabot .
- This update celebrates Earth Day , because the update falls on a holiday (April 22nd).
- This update celebrates the Cinco de Mayo , with the new board Mayo Mania , and the Koinobori for celebrate Children's Day (子供の日) on Japan with the board Koinobori , both events celebrated on May 5th.
- This is the first 2024 update to not have its theme music remixed, instead its reuse its original from the previous release.
- In Marathon Challenge , Mystery Hurdles , Floor Is Lava: No Floor Challenge and Spooky Sprint says Tag Time Attack while playing the event.
- If your selected character could not breathe underwater and you go to the Season Challenge, the bubble will carry on despite the characters there being able to breathe underwater.
- Finn and Electra are sea creatures and can breathe underwater; the bubbles they wear in the trailer are mistaken and had been fixed at the final version of this upgrade.
- Koral 's Sub Explorer Outfit has the same error as Holiday , Eggstravaganza , Holi and Stan Outfits in Subway Studio .

This edition marks the re-release of the limited character Jasmine, who is an Egyptian princess ( 95,000). It introduced a new outfit for Jasmine, the Ankh Outfit ( 30) and re-released the Safari Outfit ( 15).
