What Our Customers Say About Us

Hassle free every penny was worth it..

Brought my senior citizen parents with me and decided to buy tour tickets instead just to make sure that we'll be able to release lanterns at the event... A must-attend festival indeed before you die. Thanks again MyTaiwanTour for this convenient tour!

Angel , U.S.

Great guide and great family tour

Our guide, Esther, was awesome! She was able to give us a bunch of history and was accommodating with our two elementary-age sons. The tour is great for young kids when they won't make the full day. Ending at Din Tai Fung is a great concept.

Matt P. , U.S.

Great Introduction to Taipei With Flexible Itinerary

Jett rearranged the typical itinerary to accommodate our wishes. Provided us with excellent commentary about Taiwan, made sure that we were perfectly placed for the changing of the guard, took us to a great restaurant and then guided us through the museum.

Richard J , U.S.

Seven day private tour

Highly recommended. Debby was easy to deal with and more especially patient as we changed our itinerary constantly. Gordon our driver was fun and friendly and happy to change the itinerary to suit the weather, our changing moods, and levels of tiredness.

Douglas99 , U.K.

Like Good Friends Over a Cup of Tea

The best part of this tour is the people who guided us along this trip. The trip was engaging like we were traveling with good friends whom we just actually met that day. These guys created a memorable experience on our Taiwan trip.

Stephen C. , Philippines

Amazing day with Kevin visiting Jiufen and Taipei!

Kevin picked us up with a big smile and a warm welcome to Taiwan. Kevin kept us so entertained and informed that we almost forgot it was raining. We had to alter our day some because of the rain but Kevin had many options for us. We had the most enjoyable day!

mcguireshanealan , U.S.

Excellent private tour!

Excellent guide, very knowledgeable. And great driver! They were able to give us different routes to get to our destinations! Very friendly and kind, too. We were really able to see the main spots in Jiufen and Yilan. The food they recommended was great as well.

Faus Y. , U.S.

Excellent introduction to Taipei

We had an absolutely excellent visit with David. He was a wealth of knowledge not only about tea but about Taiwan itself. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending more than a few days in Taipei.

Andrew W. , U.K.

Jiufen - A Place of Remembrance

In the enchanting town of Shifen, a second-generation Chinese family from Aruba found solace and unity as they crafted a lantern in honor of their late son, Jordan. With the lantern's heartfelt message glowing against the night sky, their shared moment of remembrance became a poignant memory etched in time.

Get to know more about taiwan before booking your tour packages.

With a Taiwan tour package from India, you can stop worrying about the hassles of trip planning and look forward to a great holiday. Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China, is a state in East Asia. It is bordered by China, the Philippines, and Japan. It was also called Formosa because of the Portuguese rule in the 16th century. This country has been ruled by many dynasties, most notably the Qing Dynasty, remnants of which you will be able to see even today when you visit with your Taiwan travel package. In the subsequent ages, it was under Portuguese and British colonial powers and ultimately under the Japanese. Beneath the modern and glamorous façade lies a tumultuous past, especially with China which continues to this day. However, despite all the skirmishes, Taiwan has emerged as a vibrant democracy that prides itself on its liberal society and welcomes all tourists that visit with Taiwan tour packages. The descendants of the Han Chinese immigrants from Qing China between 1661 and 1895 make up for an estimated 84% of the population of Taiwan and Mandarin is the most widely spoken language.

Experience Taiwan

Setting aside its past, Taiwan has emerged as one of the newest holiday destinations in recent times. Tourists on Taiwan tour packages are especially enchanted by the amalgamation of the old and the new. The Taiwanese people are proud of their distinct culture and heritage, something that will be abundantly clear to you when you visit on your Taiwan vacation packages. A Taiwan city tour package, based on the itinerary you choose, will let you visit several ornate ancient temples that uphold a religion that is a mix of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism, in addition to housing numerous local deities. World-class museums preserve and protect centuries-old artefacts and relics that are the foundation of modern Taiwan. But don’t worry, taking a Taiwan tour package is not just about history and tradition but also about the glitz and glamour of an increasingly urbane society. You can head out and have a gala time in the town at the many high-end nightclubs and classy restaurants here as well. However, the real heart of Taiwan beats in the streets which are always bustling with activity and not to mention the lip-smacking array of street foods such as Tainan milkfish and shrimp rolls, especially in the night markets, all of which you simply have to explore on your Taiwan tour package from India. And just when you feel the need of enjoying a quieter time, you can head to the beautiful Sun Moon Lake and spectacular Kinmen Island. A trip package to Taiwan, if you are up for it, can include a hike on some trails that can be traced back to the colonial times and will be quite an enjoyable experience for you.

Veena World can assist you in planning the perfect trip to Taiwan. Whether you are planning a family trip or a solo trip, or you wish to book a Taiwan group tour package, Veena World has highly customizable options for you to choose from.

  • Taipei:  The capital of Taiwan has all the frills of a megapolis, with its skyscrapers and hi-tech transport system and is the economic and cultural hub of the country. It also boasts of a thriving art scene with many art galleries displaying traditional and contemporary art pieces. The Taipei Zoo, Botanical Garden, and Raohe Street Night Market are all great additions for Taiwan vacation packages. But if there's one place that definitely demands a visit, it is the Bao'an Temple. Its stunning ornate craftsmanship and architecture celebrate local designs and the temple has also been awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award for the restoration work that has been undertaken here.
  • National Palace Museum: This museum located in Shilin displays a Chinese art collection that is considered to be the largest and finest in the world and if you are a history buff, you should definitely add this place to your Taiwan holiday package. The National Palace Museum is an excellent place to learn about the rich culture, heritage, and history of the country. Another thing that tourists are drawn to here is the historical architecture with many charming old buildings that draw your attention.
  • Alishan National Scenic Area:  A great addition for your Taiwan tour package from India, this is an absolute must-visit area for all nature-lovers. The Alishan National Scenic Area seems to have come straight out of a dream sequence. Best Time to Visit Taiwan

March to June are the spring months in Taiwan and are considered to be the ideal months to visit the destination as they are perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities and you can find several travel deals for Taiwan as well. Taipei Tours, Vacations & Travel Packages

taipei tour package from india

Taipei is the capital city of the island Province of Taiwan, ROC (Republic of China). Located on the northern tip, on the Tamsui River, Taipei is the political, economic, and cultural centre of Taiwan, a major stopover on Taiwan vacations.

Situated in the Taipei Basin, the city of Taipei offers scenic beauty with its various mountain ranges bordering this thriving metropolis, including Citing Mountain, the highest (extinct) volcano in Taiwan, located in Yangmingshan National Park.

Founded in the 18th century, Taipei sits only 25kms southwest of Keelung, a port city on the Pacific Ocean, and became an important destination in the 19th century for overseas trade, as the Qing Dynasty declared it as the island’s capital. Taipei continued to thrive under Japanese rule in 1895, and then again in the 1980s when the economy started to take off.

Slowly turning into a modern, cosmopolitan city, tree-lined boulevards were laid, high-quality apartment blocks constructed, and stylish restaurants and cafes established.

Downtown Taipei is culturally divided into east and west. The west features older city life, with its narrow streets and roadside vendors, whereas the east is the more modern side, featuring classy malls, chic boutiques, and trendy cafes and restaurants on a Taiwan vacation.

Taipei’s most recognizable landmark is Taipei 101. This skyscraper features 101 floors and was the world’s tallest building from 2004 - January 4, 2010, when it was surpassed by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Another impressive structure in Taipei is the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, a monument built in memory of the former president of the Republic of China, Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, and a gathering place for events.

Along with its modern vitality, Taipei features temples, shrines, and museums dedicated to its history and traditions. A thriving economy, safe streets, entertaining nightlife, plenty of shopping, and endless eateries, all make Taipei an exciting destination to visit on a Taiwan vacation.

Taiwan Tours & Vacations

Tourist traveler with camera in modern Taiwan shopping looking at a red lantern for souvenir

When Portuguese sailors first saw Taiwan off the starboard bow in 1544, they christened it Ilha Formosa, the 'Beautiful Island'.

And can you blame them? For 400 years communists, capitalists, imperialists, and everyone in between have fought over its mist-shrouded forests, soaring peaks, and plunging coastal cliffs. These days it’s definitely a case of ‘come for the adventure, stay for the stir-fries’, with some of the best fusion cuisines around, top road cycling, excellent mountain trekking, and world-class coffee to boot. Also variously known as the Republic of China and Chinese Tapei, Taiwan is a destination that has most definitely come into its own.

Best time to visit taiwan.

While there’s really no bad time to visit Taiwan, some months are more predictable than others.

September to November is the best time to visit when you’ll find balmy nights, rich autumn foliage, and off-peak prices.

Traveling in spring (March to May) is down to luck: it could be clear skies, monsoonal rain, or even a sandstorm blown over from   China .

Swimming is best mid-year (June to August) when the weather can heat up, but there is always the small risk of typhoons.

Geography and environment

Taiwan is a little like   South America   with its spine-like ridge of (often impassable) mountains running southwest through the center of the island. The beauty of this setup is that topography and environment can change very quickly.

You can be cycling through low-lying rice paddies around Taitung one day, traversing the high forest passes of Yushan the next, and then finishing up on the white northern beaches around Fuguei Cape.

Generally, the central national parks and east coast are the most spectacular regions; the west coast is flat and highly developed with urban areas spreading over the river basins and flood plains that lead to the sea.

Top 5 attractions in Taiwan

1. sun moon lake.

One of Asia’s best-kept secrets, Sun Moon Lake is easily the equal of any Como, Bled, or Windermere. It’s a huge blue oasis hidden among the green peaks of Taiwan’s central mountain ranges. By day it’s merely beautiful, but in the blue-gold light of dawn, with mists rolling over the water and local fishermen paddling past, it’s like something out of a fairy tale.

2. Taroko Gorge

They have to shoot a James Bond chase scene through here, that’s all there is to it. Taroko Gorge was made for the cinema. It’s a winding maze of looming marble crags, huge cut-out roads tunneling right into the mountains, rushing river gorges, and looping alpine passes. If you are ever being chased by gangsters in your supercar, you want it to be here.

3. Qingshui Cliffs

Just google an image of ‘Qingshui Cliffs’ before we continue. All done? Now you know what we’re talking about. They’re basically a 21 km stretch of sheer jungle-covered cliffs plunging straight into the East China Sea, with a tiny highway clinging on about halfway up. This is not a journey for vertigo sufferers, but for fans of jaw-dropping natural wonders, it’s a must-do.

An easy one to tick off, since it’ll probably be your first stop in Taiwan. The northern city of Taipei is the island’s capital and offers a beating, chaotic counterpoint to the Zen-like beauty of the southern national parks. If you think it’s crazy by day, just wait until night, when a neon glow lights the sky and lantern-lit markets spring up in the colorful Songshan district.

5. Penghu Islands

Penghu is one of Taiwan’s hidden gems, an archipelago of 90 islands between the mainland and China. They’re remote, but worth the journey, with brilliant beaches devoid of crowds, glorious temples, towering basalt columns, and genuine old-fashioned Chinese hospitality. Penghu is also a windsurfing mecca and a nesting ground for rare green sea turtles. Not bad for one tiny volcanic island chain.

Is Taiwan accessible for travellers with disabilities?

We’re committed to making travel accessible for everyone, regardless of ability or disability. That’s why we do our best to help as many people see the world as possible, regardless of any physical or mental limitations they might have. We’re always happy to talk to travelers with disabilities and see if we can help guide them toward the most suitable itinerary for their needs and where possible, make reasonable adjustments to our itineraries.

Taiwan generally has   accessibility   in mind when building new infrastructure, however, as a mountainous place there are many natural barriers to those with limited mobility. Outdoor activities such as hiking or visiting national parks are common on itineraries and may be off limits to wheelchair users or travelers for who steps or uneven ground are an issue. Wheelchair-accessible tour buses may be able to be booked in advance and taxis are good value. MRT trains have accessible facilities. Many hotels and guesthouses will have barrier-free rooms, but often cafes and restaurants have seating on upper floors without lifts. Outside Taipei and Kaohsiung cities and towns can lack sidewalks.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance before traveling?

Absolutely. All passengers traveling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. Your travel insurance details will be recorded by your leader on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is very much an essential and necessary part of every journey.

Private Family Tour of Taiwan

Classic private tours of taiwan, natural wonders tour of taiwan, private tea tours of taiwan, private food tours of taiwan, private culture tours of taiwan, 5-day classic private tour of taiwan.

Enjoy a five-day private tour exploring the classic sights of Taiwan. Visit Taiwan’s cities, mountains, and lakes while getting a taste of local cuisine and exploring vibrant cultures.

All of our tours are fully customizable. Get in touch and we'll assign you a dedicated travel designer who will work with you to curate your perfect trip.

5-Day Classic Private Tour of Taiwan Itinerary

Day 1 – arrival at taipei international airport and explore taipei.

  • Fly into Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei.
  • Depending on time available and weather, this may include a look at Taipei Botanical Garden, a visit to Taipei 101 and its observatory for sunset views over the city, a soak in a hot spring, or a stroll around Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (a landmark dedicated to Taiwan and Nationalist China’s former leader).
  • Visiting the fabulous National Palace Museum is an option, especially if you’re arriving on a Friday or Saturdays when it stays open to 9pm (closing time on other days is 6.30pm ).

Day 2 – Explore areas surrounding Taipei

  • If you’ve already seen the magnificent National Palace Museum, then we suggest a thorough look at the living-and-breathing culture that’s visible in Wanhua, one of the oldest and most interesting parts of Taipei. Here we can find the city’s best-known hall of worship, Longshan Temple.
  • If the hills are calling to you, we can drive up to Yangmingshan National Park via Martyrs Shrine, where the hourly changing of the guard is a display of breathtaking precision. On Yangmingshan we can enjoy the view over coffee and cake at Grass Mountain Chateau.
  • If you’re in Taipei on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, taking in a show at Taipei EYE is an option. To finish up the evening, we can bring you to that most Taiwanese of places: A local night market, where tasty snack foods are sold by outdoors vendors. A former residence of Chiang Kai-shek, it was built in 1920; even after a complete renovation less than a decade ago, it continues to look thoroughly Japanese, right down to the sliding doors

Day 3 – Taroko National Park

  • We recommend making a reasonably early start and eating a hearty breakfast because we have a four-hour drive ahead of us.
  • The journey can be broken with a stop at the hot springs park in Jiaoxi in Yilan County, or a walk on the windswept Pacific-facing beach at Dongao. A good option for lunch en route is the acclaimed aboriginal restaurant Dageeli.
  • Arriving in Taroko National Park around 2pm will give us time to visit the Eternal Spring Shrine and the Yanzikou Trail (Swallow Grotto) before checking into our preferred hotel at 4pm. The property has excellent food and spa services, outdoor and indoor pools, and is a short walk from Xiangde Temple.

Day 4 – Sun Moon Lake

  • After breakfast, we’ll head into the higher reaches of Taroko National Park, stopping if you like for hot ginger tea at Bilu Sacred Tree, a 50m high, 3,200-year-old Lunta fir.
  • We’ll make regular stops, including one at the road’s highest point (3,275m above sea level), so you can photograph the gorgeous scenery and stretch your legs. Lunch can be a feast of roast chicken and mountain vegetables – or a simple picnic nearly two miles above sea level.
  • We expect to get you to the lakeshore around 4pm, in time for a delightful boat cruise around Sun Moon Lake to enjoy views of the water and the surrounding mountains.

Day 5 –  Wrap up

  • Whatever time your flight out, we’ll help you make the very most of your final day in Taiwan. Almost everyone agrees that just after daybreak, as the sun climbs up over the nearby peaks, is a splendid moment to appreciate the beauty of Sun Moon Lake.
  • Depending on your schedule, we’ll visit Cien Pagoda and perhaps a pair of temples that preserve relics associated with Xuan Zang, a Buddhist monk revered for traveling from China to India in 7th century and translating religious texts.
  • The drive from the lake to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport takes around two-and-a-half hours, and from the freeway you’ll see a mix of rural and urban environments. In Taiwan, you’re never very far from the city, nor are you ever far from nature.

If you don’t fancy this 5-day private tour of Taiwan, go over our 7-day private tour of Taiwan and our 9-day private tour of Taiwan.

This was an excellent tour!!! Alan Chou was a fantastic tour guide -- knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and funny to boot. The sights were amazing and so were the hotels we stayed in. The itinerary was very well designed. Didn't realize Taiwan was so beautiful! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Taiwan.
Excellent tour. Great accommodations and sites visited.

Overall..good to very good. Full program that covers key elements of Taiwan tourist attractions. Main contributor to success though was tour guide Vincent Chiang ! Outstanding performance.
We had a great time on the daily tours and our tour guide was knowledgeable. The food was amazing and experiences with the group were memorable. I felt that everything was taken care of and it made travel through Taiwan easy. The hotels were less than stellar with some accommodations being better than others.

A wonderfully well organised tour with a great selection of sights, food and accomodation. A beautiful country to visit with friendly locals. Our guide Amanda was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating and made our trip memorable.
We were happy that we chose the 9 day option and would recommend this to others. The hotels were superb as were the meals that were chosen for us. We hardly spent any money at all as everything was supplied for us. We are usually independent travellers but feel that Tiawan would be difficult to manage on our own. Having gone on this tour we feel that we have really seen a very varied and interesting side of this country. Our guide was extremely well informed, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. She really made our trip.

This was such a wonderful trip. Our itinerary was changed last minute due to a devastating earthquake that occurred just a week before, and the steps taken to ensure that we’d be safe while still having a lovely trip were amazing. There was a lot of communication with the changes, which my group and I very much appreciated. Our tour guide, Jaren, was beyond phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable, professional, personable, and hilarious, and he carefully listened and asked about our preferences to make a very tailored experience. I highly recommend anyone to use this company, and pray that you get Jaren! It’s really the best way to see my happy place on Earth: Taiwan!
Our tour, 5 day Taroko Gorge, Sun Moon Lake & Alishan was exceptional. My partner and I were blown away by the incredible landscape, the warmth of the Taiwanese people, and our fabulous tour guide/driver Calvin Lo. Calvin was so much fun, very knowledgeable, a safe driver, insightful as to our particular preferences and likes on the tour, and always thinking of other options available which would interest us. Being just 2 persons, we were able to maximise our days fully. The 3 hotels were very good, great locations and rooms provided. In particular, the Taroko Liiko Hotel was our favourite. The operator My Taiwan Tour communicated very well. Overall, we were extremely impressed with our whole experience on tour.

This was packaged as a 9 day tour. Its actually 6 days.Other das were travel days and free time.
Alan Chou was an exceptionally good guide for the 5 day coach tour component. There was a 1 day tour for just the two of us up front with a free day in-between. Really a 7 day holiday with arrival and departure days making it sort of 9 days. Toroko Gorge was a highlight. Hotels were great, once you work out how to switch off all the lights. Tedious systems that would be OK in your own home once learned, but daft for such short stays. Still well worth 5 stars overall !!

excellent, highly recommendable, versatile, not the general kind of tourism one receives mostly everywhere with large groups of boring people. This was not everything spoon fed but for the person who has an interest in a country and doesn't mind the unusual, the different, the out -of-the way experience. We would like to see more but due to the Earth quake we were unable to travel the East Coast of Taiwan but will keep it in mind. Good food, inexpensive, great markets (not just night markets but the artistic markets), good hotels, good driver and tour guide, in short summary, highly recommendable for the person who wants to have an experience outside the famous box. There are plenty of those tours for the boxed-in travelers elsewhere.

Such a magical experience! Our driver was really friendly as well as our guide, with great recommendations for local-fare for the time away from the tour. Mr. Chang made sure to introduce us to a special Taiwanese tea ceremony since the museum from the tour did not have such an exhibit. He was also really friendly with the locals that made our group feel really welcomed to the environment. He expertly lead the way through the Alishan terrain and knew the best places to take photos. He not only kept up with but outpaced an entire flock of 20-somethings!
