Warped Tour 2016 is the 22nd edition of the Vans Warped Tour. The lineup release show took place at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida on March 22, 2016 and featured performances by Less Than Jake , Wage War , Dash Ten and Real Friends .

The tour returned to Alaska for the third annual Road to Warped Tour show and featured 2016 artists Crown the Empire , Reel Big Fish , Sleeping With Sirens , State Champs and Sum 41 along with local Alaskan artists.

The tour was scaled back this year and featured only 7 stages: two main stages sponsored by Journeys named the Left Foot Stage and Right Foot Stage ; two stages sponsored by Monster Energy named the Monster Energy North and South Stages ; the Poseidon Stage ; the Cyclops Stage ; and the Full Sail University Stage . The Full Sail University Stage featured bands chosen to represent their respective record labels on the tour.

The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands returned for the 20th year. Unlike previous years where 4-5 winners were chosen to play the Ernie Ball Stage each day, this year's scaled back version of the tour featured only 1 winner for each date. The winner was allowed to open one of the Main Stages each day on the 2016 tour.

2016 Vans Warped Tour Announces Full Lineup

Summer is slowly on its way, which means Vans Warped Tour will be cutting across the U.S. with dozens of bands in tow. Along with plenty of pop-punk acts, this years Warped Tour caters to the fan looking for some heavier bands as well.

Warped 2016 will feature acts which have made up the very fabric of 21st century Warped Tours. Mainstays such as Sum 41 , New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, Falling in Reverse , Reel Big Fish and Good Charlotte will weave the lighter side of the touring festival’s sonic tapestry. However, if those bands aren’t your cup of tea, Warped is offering some metal as well.

Bullet for My Valentine , Motionless in White , Every Time I Die ,  Veil of Maya , Whitechapel , Atreyu , Chelsea Grin and others will round out the heavier side of this year’s festivities.

This year, there will be a special Road to Warped concert in Anchorage, Alaska, on June 22. As with previous years, some bands will be onboard for all 41 dates, with others joining for limited stretches.

This is a pretty interesting lineup! Having artists like 3Oh!3 and We the Kings bring back the memories of high school, riding on the school bus while jamming out with my cheap Skullcandy headphones. Personally, I’ve never been to warped tour, but I plan on going this year just to check it out. Other bands that I’m excited for include Falling in Reverse, Mayday Parade, Sum 41, Yellowcard, The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Bullet for My Valentine, and White Chapel. I’ve heard mosh pits at warped tour are pretty great, so I’ll definitely be in the pit for White Chapel! Something that I feel that this article could have discussed is the fact that this event, unlike many of the local music festivals, is not 18 and up. It’s all ages, so there will certainly be a lot of little children there, which I’m not very excited about. However, I also heard that all the people that go are generally pretty nice. This is another reason why I’m extremely excited for this event! I’m interested to see how strict the security will be, and what we will be allowed to take into the venue, such as water and food.

About the festival headliner - Sleeping with Sirens

Sleeping with Sirens is an American rock band from Orlando, Florida currently residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band was formed in 2009 by members of For All We Know and Paddock Park. The group is currently signed to Warner Bros. Records and have released four full-length albums and an acoustic EP. They rose to fame by their song "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn" which is the lead single from their debut album With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear which released in 2010. The group's third album Feel debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200, and a fourth album entitled Madness was released on March 17, 2015 through Epitaph Records and spawned the single "Kick Me". Their fifth studio album, Gossip, was released on September 22, 2017 on Warner Bros. Records. The group is known primarily for the versatility of vocalist Kellin Quinn's leggero tenor vocal range, along with the heavy sound used on their early work and the pop influences they used later into their career.

Warped Tour 2016 lineup announced

The line up for the 2016 Vans Warped Tour has been announced. Bands on the bill include Masked Intruder , Falling In Reverse , Yellowcard , Sum 41 , Teenage Bottlerocket , Less Than Jake , Good Charlotte , New Found Glory , The Interrupters , Reel Big Fish and a lot more. The tour will be happening from June 24 - August 13.

Earlier this week on March 22, Vans Warped Tour founder and producer Kevin Lyman announced the 2016 lineup for the traveling punk rock summer camp, and let me tell you -- you're not going to want to miss it.

Vans Warped Tour 2016

Going back to its start in 1995, the Vans Warped Tour has presented a showcase for ESP players in a wide variety of musical genres. Since then, it’s become the largest and longest-running traveling music fest in the US, and remains a great chance to check out ESP players.

The 2016 Warped Tour runs between June 24 and August 13 in cities across the USA, and includes more bands featuring ESP players than ever before, with over 30 ESP guitar and bass players in 16 bands (and those are just the ones we’re aware of). Vans Warped Tour has gone strong for what seems like forever, or at least since the inception of the mall rat.

The punk mainstay dropped its 2016 lineup with a full itinerary that will take some of the genre’s best acts through the dog days of summer across the US, and to Denver’s Pepsi Center on July 31.

Fans will notice that the eclectic lineup reflects a new frontier for the veteran festival. Amongst old crowd favorites are heavy acts and upcoming bands on the cusp of Hot Topic fandom: New Found Glory, Tonight Alive, Less Than Jake, Yellowcard, We The Kings, Sleeping With Sirens, Falling In Reverse, Four Year Strong, Reel Big Fish, Atreyu, Every Time I Die, Motionless In White, The Color Morale, Chelsea Grin, State Champs, Like Pacific, In Hearts Wake, Capsize and From Ashes To New are among the festival’s sizable lineup.

2016 Vans Warped Tour lineup announced with old school bands, comes to Scranton July 11

The complete lineup for the 2016 Vans Warped Tour , presented by Journeys , has finally been revealed.

With a lineup that in many ways signals a return to the tour’s roots, the 22nd edition of Warped Tour welcomes back several fan favorites, including New Found Glory, Tonight Alive, Less Than Jake, Yellowcard, We the Kings, Sleeping with Sirens, Falling in Reverse, Four Year Strong, Reel Big Fish, and Pepper, to name a few.

The new Monster Energy Party Zone will present festival-goers with two stages of heavy music from bands such as Scranton’s own Motionless In White, Atreyu, Every Time I Die, The Color Morale, Chelsea Grin, and many more.

In keeping with its longstanding tradition of bringing music fans the best of newer, up-and-coming acts, this year also includes bands like State Champs, Like Pacific, In Hearts Wake, Capsize, and From Ashes to New, plus much more.

The 41-date trek launches in Dallas, Texas on June 24 and concludes on August 13 in Portland, Oregon, stopping at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton on Monday, July 11.

As part of its ongoing mission to help those in need and encourage positive social change, the Warped Tour’s charitable organization Unite the United will be launching a charity auction to aid Los Angeles band The Ghost Inside in their efforts to recover from a devastating bus collision that occurred while out on tour last November. The auction will kick off on May 19 at ebay.com/unitetheunited .

The Vans Warped Tour is well-known as America’s longest running touring music festival of the summer. Since 1995, the tour has been a showcase for both established and up-and-coming talent across a wide range of eclectic sub-genres.

The tour has also cemented its place in history by bringing alternative rock and skate culture from the underground to the forefront of global youth culture, while at the same time helping those in need through nonprofit and eco initiatives.

Alternative Press readers voted the Vans Warped Tour as the “Best Tour/Festival,” and Rolling Stone called it “America’s Most Successful Festival.”
