Hi guys, The display on the Astra-H just says "No Function" when you press the BC button. Its a Design edition and has the larger display and should come with the trip computer as standard. Do I need to press something else? I have had Vectra's and Astra's before with the same display working. Even the lower model Astra Breeze had it and was working. Please advise and help. Thanks,

Sounds like it needs to be enabled with tech2

Can it be enabled with the other home user one, starting with "O" and ending with "M"? If so, does anyone know how? Thanks.

You can programme the varient coding with Opcom, only issue i've had is it messed up the colour scheme on my preface CID until then done again with tech2, if none colour cant see it being an issue..

It is non-colour, its the 3-line display as in the Vec's.

Guys, I have tried to program the BC in the Astra-H by following something I saw on AOC, the instructions we easy to follow and others have managed to do theirs with these, but mine wouldnt play ball. Can you help please? -------------------------------------------- Here are the instruction from AOC: 1, tech2 screen, ENTER 2 diagnostics 3 year of car eg 2007 4 astra h 5 infotainment 6 programming 7 code index 8 program code index 9 enter 10 a part number will flash on the screen press enter 11 the type of set up will flash on the screen eg liniar resistance type b press enter 12 current code index is displayed eg code index 009 version 3 press program 13 change code index to 008 if original index is 007 or 010 if original is 009 14 press program 15 programming is complete press finish/abort 16 exit to main screen and turn off. -------------------------------------------- I get to this page and the only option available is to start programming. And when I press this, it just says programming - but I dont know whats its programming. See below. I was using Opcom. .................. Can anyone please help? Thanks,

Board Computer

Do you have the 3 line display in your car, but your board computer is disabled. If the screen displays NO FUNCTION when you press BC on your stereo, the trip computer can be enabled.

The board computer can be enabled on all display types except the TID – Time Info Display. This type can be identified as it is the only display with the clock set buttons immediately beneath the display.

Hi. Does anyone have a 2014 astra excite. I've recently bought one and the trip computer only shows the mileage. Is this normal? When I press the menu button, I get the tire load, then the oil but that's it. Vauxhall told me that's all there is, but I'm sure I read that you can activate more things by connecting it to opcom on a laptop. Can anyone shed some light on this please.  Thank you

Not sure you'll get much more information on the standard system

But you could get an OBD dongle and tether it to your phone with an app it should show heaps more information about the car's live data readings

is it possible to activate trip computer on my astra h (04 sxi) using opcom, it has BID display and says no function when bc is pressed? also where can i find rec to check if i have so i can activate anti-hijacking locks. thanks

I opcom china-clone 08/2010" (Chinese production) resulted in the activation of the onboard computer, which means that it can. It's hard for me to explain in English, because I don't know this language, and translation, to publish it uradjen automatically, thanks for understanding.

What are the possible results? Anyway to back up my settings beforehand?

First thing is dont enable or disable anything what you dont know what it means as op com allows changing nearly all things without checking if its even possible, second thing is it has bugs in software and not always it does what it says it has done

Obd2 socket is under parking brake and thats the only one whats needed socket on rec dont even try

You won't get anything ro read from a Diesel engine, and you need the second black box to interface with the brake lights and side/ headlights.

hey im currently installing one of these and i have a red and white wire, anyone know where that one goes?  

to the red and white wire on the ecu, depending on the engine you have. other wise dont connect it.  

cheers, also on the stalk what does the brown wire connet to? im guessin the other 2 connect to the mfd?

im asking as i hope to be fitting the gsi trip comp too. coolant sensor i know what it looks like, but oil level i havent a clue. where is it on the xe? and is it possible to fit to other xe engines?  

c20xe oil one lives in the sump, its part of it but is removeable so i doubt you could use it with other engines which arent something like a 2.0 8v etc. You may be able to buy a universal level sensor to replace the sump plug or similar?  

can we just list here what a gsi trip computer displays, on a c20xe engine. then if someone could list again which of these will not work on none 20xe engines. thanks

The GSi trip comp does: Oil Level Coolant Level Screenwash Level Brake Pad Low Brake Fluid Low (i think) Brake Lights Front side lights and tailights

what about one in a sport, what does that do???  

1.8 and 2.0 Sports have the same as a GSi. 1.6 have the time, date and outside temp display. If you fit a GSi computer to a different car it'll do (without a whole lot of wiring) instant fuel economy, average fuel economy, average speed, range, outside temp and it has a stopwatch!
