Defining I Shalt Become as a Black Metal band is a very hard task indeed, as the band’s style includes the same confusing and spacey distortion (due to acid riffing) but mostly slow-paced performances and lifeless songwriting. You may instead consider them as a Black Metal application of Red House Painters ...
I Shalt Become differs from the vast array of Burzum clones in that, while he uses Burzum as a medium, the work is fueled by his emotive reckoning and quickly becomes his own art. Wanderings was originally released in 1996, but it was rereleased in 1998 by Moribund Records with the Burzum and Judas Iscariot covers.
