For those who are new to the industry or are looking for a boost for their business, we offer a comprehensive course just for you: Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya. Housed in Avoya Travel Academy, this Magellan award-winning course offers three plan options to set you up for success so you can hit the ground running from day one.

More than just a rebrand of our educational offering, the Avoya Travel Academy embodies a commitment to providing cutting-edge insights and immersive learning experiences, igniting inspiration in future travel advisors.

YES! Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya offers the most dynamic and comprehensive travel advisor curriculum available. Once complete, you will be able take the Travel Agent Education Certification (TAEC™) exam. The exam fee is included with your registration.

YES! All content is online and self-paced. Please keep in mind that not all travel industry completion certificates are recognized internationally. Please check your country’s regulations before registering for the coursework offered in preparation for the Travel Agent Education Certification (TAEC™) exam. 

Please Note:  At this time, the Avoya Network can only offer affiliation with Independent Agencies who reside in the United States. If you reside in a country other than the United States and pay for Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya, your Independent Agency will not be able to affiliate with the Avoya Network once complete.

The program is open registration. You can register and start the program TODAY, if you are ready. Once your registration payment is processed, you will be automatically enrolled, and will receive a “Welcome” email containing your login credentials. YES! The program is 35 – 40 hours. At a leisurely – yet, committed – pace we anticipate the program taking between 4-5 weeks to complete. Some have completed the curriculum in as little as 3 weeks! The program is self-paced, and you will have access to the platform for 100 days from date of registration.

It depends. With some, you can. However, several require experience or a  travel education certificate. We would encourage anyone considering a new career to learn more about the industry. Completing the comprehensive coursework Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya offers, will provide you with the industry basics needed to develop your confidence and knowledge – building a solid foundation for your journey to becoming an industry expert. 

GREAT QUESTION! While the travel industry does not require any specific certifications to become a travel agent, obtaining a travel industry recognized certificate demonstrates your commitment to professionalism, as well as a strong desire to become an industry expert.

A big first step is registering and completing a new-to-travel agent training program, like the Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya.

The BASIC Package includes:

Donald and Melania Trump attend son Barron’s high school graduation during break in ‘hush money’ trial

D onald Trump and Melania Trump celebrated their son, Barron Trump, at his high school graduation in West Palm Beach, Fla., Friday.

The former US president and first lady arrived together to the Oxbridge Academy ceremony with what appeared to be bodyguards by their sides.

Donald, 77, was dressed in a white dress shirt, blue tie and navy blue suit. He appeared in good spirits as he was photographed smiling all throughout the occasion.

Melania, 54, for her part, wore a black blazer over a white dress and accessorized the look with a straw sun hat. The normally stoic former model also appeared happy and having a good time.

The proud parents were snapped cheering and clapping while Barron, 18, received his diploma.

The 6-foot-7 teen walked across the stage wearing a navy blue cap and gown, and bright red sash.

At one point during the ceremony, Donald stood up and leaned over the banister of the stands to excitedly wave in the direction of the graduates, seemingly trying to get Barron’s attention.

Melania appeared amused by the gesture, laughing as she placed her hand on her husband’s side.

Donald and Melania were surrounded at the time by other parents and relatives, who attended the gathering dressed in their best spring garbs.

Most of them smiled and clapped along when the 45th US president engaged in the silly moment.

Donald was able to make it to the milestone event because his historic trial in NYC was on a brief break.

The Republican candidate for US president faces 34 counts of fraud for the hush money that was allegedly paid to ex-porn star Stormy Daniels  prior to the 2016 election.

Justice Juan Merchan allowed the court to adjourn Thursday after Donald’s former lawyer Michael Cohen was cross-examined. Those proceedings are scheduled to resume on Monday.

The trial began on April 15, and the real estate mogul made it clear at the time that he did not want his legal battle to conflict with Barron’s graduation.

“I was looking forward to that graduation with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge does not allow me to escape this scam,” Donald told reporters last month in the Manhattan Supreme Court.

Judge Merchan previously said in response to the request, “It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial.” However, he evidently succumbed to the idea.

Barron is the only child Donald and Melania, who have been married since 2005, share and he is the former’s youngest.

The former “Apprentice” host also has four other adult children from previous marriages: Donald Trump Jr., 46, Ivanka Trump, 42, Eric Trump, 40, and Tiffany Trump, 30.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Former President Donald Trump will head to Minnesota on a day off from his hush money trial for a Republican fundraiser Friday night in a traditionally Democratic state that he boasts he can carry in November.

Trump will headline the state GOP’s annual Lincoln Reagan dinner in St. Paul, which coincides with the party’s state convention, after attending his son Barron’s high school graduation in Florida. Trump attended the graduation Friday morning with his wife, Melania Trump, and her father, Viktor Knavs.

Barron Trump, Trump’s youngest son, graduated from the private Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach.

The former president had long complained Judge Juan M. Merchan would not let him attend the graduation before Merchan agreed not to hold court Friday.

Trump will use part of the day granted by the trial judge for the graduation to campaign in Minnesota, a state he argues he can win in the November rematch with President Joe Biden. No Republican presidential candidate has won Minnesota since Richard Nixon in 1972, but Trump came close to flipping the state in 2016, when he fell 1.5 percentage points short of Democrat Hillary Clinton.

‘Doctors Academy’ at UConn Health Graduates High School Seniors

Connecticut High School Seniors graduated on May 15 from the Health Career Opportunity Programs

The 14 Senior Doctor Academy graduates in the Class of 2024 on May 15 received their white coats from HCOP leader Dr. Marja Hurley with their success also applauded by keynote speaker State Senator Douglas McCrory.

Neha Shanavas of Bloomfield is only seventeen, but she knows she wants to be a UConn-trained physician committed to serving the underserved.

Her inspiration since middle school has been The Doctors Academy at UConn Health.

“The Health Career Opportunity Programs has served as a beacon of hope, providing access and support to those who are underrepresented in the STEM and health care fields,” said Shanavas.

The Doctors Academy is part of the longstanding Health Career Opportunity Programs (HCOP) founded over two decades ago by physician-scientist Dr. Marja Hurley, where middle school and high school students receive in-depth education in the health sciences and career path mentorship on Saturdays and in the summer. The Doctors Academy is one of 14 Health Career Opportunity Programs that are part of the Aetna Health Professions Partnership Initiative (HPPI).

Shanavas, a soon-to-be graduate of the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford, is UConn bound. Excitedly, Shanavas has been accepted into UConn’s Special Program in Medicine to pursue both her bachelor of science degree in molecular and cellular biology and a medical degree over the next eight years to become a doctor.

“UConn was always my top choice,” Shanavas exclaims. “The exposure to UConn Health via the HCOP programs really sparked my interest in UConn’s Special Program in Medicine. The team-based learning system and collaborative community also drew me in. I’m extremely grateful for Dr. Hurley and the HCOP team. Without their support, none of this would have been possible.”

Shanavas added, “A lot of students at my school did the HCOP program throughout middle and high school. Since at the time, I was interested in STEM, I decided to apply. Years later, I’m very happy that I did, as it was interacting with different health care professionals and doing enrichment trips that made me interested in going into the medical field.”

Her favorite part of the Doctors Academy was the High School Student Research Apprentice Program’s exposure to the research field, “I even got to present a poster on methods of analyzing pain models for osteoarthritis.”

Impressively, during high school, Shanavas worked with the Governor’s Prevention Partnership to help advocate for substance use prevention among youth.

“I really realized how important a health care worker’s role is in advocating for our patients and their best interests. I hope to stay involved in doing research and advocacy during my tenure at UConn. Having grown up in a city with avid health disparities, I hope to become a physician who is committed to serving underserved communities,” stresses Shanavas who has a strong message to the youth of Connecticut.

“Take every opportunity you can find out there. If you know you want something, don’t wait around – go out there, explore, network, and get yourself involved in programs that could help you achieve your goals,” says Shanavas.

Shanavas and the 14 Senior Doctors Academy graduates in the Class of 2024 are following in the footsteps of hundreds of successful HCOP graduates like Joshua Crittenden, Ph.D.

This Doctors Academy alum, originally from Windsor, Conn. spoke virtually to the students at the closing ceremony about how he is now working for New York State as an Environmental Scientist. He is a 2014 graduate of CREC Metropolitan Learning Center high school in Bloomfield, earned his environmental engineering degree from UConn in 2018, and Duke University master’s degree in 2022 and Ph.D. in 2023 in Environmental Engineering.

“I’m grateful for the HCOP Programs,” shares Crittenden, who fondly remembers starting HCOP in 2009 and spending his middle school and high school summers and Saturdays at UConn Health, before attending UConn Storrs as an undergraduate.

“All HCOP Programs are honestly an opportunity to really build foundational skills that I continue to use as a scientist to this day,” says Crittenden. “I first did research one summer in a lab at UConn Health. I got to present my research findings at the end of the summer. That experience was key for me becoming a scientist. As a Ph.D. I always have to present at conferences. It is definitely a skill I learned in high school thanks to the Doctors Academy.”

Also, research trips to conferences to hear from many health science professionals in the field and connect with mentors are also standout HCOP experiences for Crittenden.

“Ten years later, I still stay in contact and foster relationships with my fellow HCOP students,” says Crittenden. “We all have done successful things in our careers. It’s nice to see everyone live out their childhood dreams.”

He stresses to Connecticut’s youth, “If you are trying to be a doctor or dentist, a program like HCOP will help you become a more competitive candidate and learn the skills you really need. We have to recognize the impact of programs like HCOP and its Doctors Academy, the resource of UConn Health and the programs’ funding support.”

Brendan Dolan, DMD, a graduate of UConn School of Dental Medicine, heartwarmingly recalls being a mentor to Crittenden ten years ago. Dolan was awarded a Community Service award by HCOP leadership for his dedication and work with the students as both an instructor and mentor.

“This program really works,” Dolan shared at the HCOP closing ceremony. “Follow your dreams, follow your hearts!”

UConn Health Psychiatry Resident Physician Dr. Ireon LeBeauf was also honored at the event for her dedicated annual seminar series on stress management for the parents of the students in the Doctors Academy.

“For State Senator Douglas McCrory giving back is a priority,” said Hurley while introducing the state representative of the Towns of Bloomfield, Hartford and Windsor who served as the HCOP graduation’s keynote speaker.

“Thank you Dr. Hurley for having a vision!” McCrory applauded. In his keynote address he stressed the critical importance of members of our communities having access to health care, access to culturally competent providers, and always being shown empathy and compassion by more doctors and dentists that actually look like them.

“This program works! It develops health professionals. Young people – stick with it! Young people – we are counting on you! Show your love and compassion. And come back and serve your community,” McCrory said.

Hurley concluded the beautiful ceremony with a special thank you to parents and congratulations to the graduating students.

“A special thank you to the parents who get the students up on Saturdays to get to the program. I’m really excited for the Senior high school students who persisted and are now entering college,” Hurley happily shared.

The Associated Press caught a glimpse of the event on Friday, which saw Donald and Melania Trump sitting front row in the audience

Barron Trump has officially put high school in the rearview following an exclusive graduation ceremony on Friday, May 17.

Photographs captured by the Associated Press and Agence France-Presse on Friday morning show the 18-year-old receiving his diploma on stage, and reveal that his parents, Donald and Melania Trump , as well as his grandfather, Viktor Knavs , sat front row in the audience.

A spokesperson for Melania did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment about the celebration.

Donald was previously excused from appearing in court for his Manhattan criminal trial on Friday so that he could watch his son walk in the ceremony. He is scheduled to headline a Minnesota GOP event on Friday evening, likely cutting the family's post-graduation plans short.

Barron enrolled at the elite Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Fla., after his family left the White House in 2021. He has yet to publicly announce his next steps, though his father recently confirmed that he is weighing college options.

Ahead of the graduation, a social source told PEOPLE that Melania will continue to take an active role in Barron's life as he decides his next moves.

“Melania will keep her hand on Barron’s future just as much going forward as she has throughout his early and current school years,” the source said. “He is her world. She is proud of him, and she is the primary decision maker on Barron and his future."

What do we know about the teenager?

About Barron Trump? Not a lot. The youth turned 18 on March 20, and as a minor throughout his father's public life in television, business and politics, he has been kept out of the spotlight and the media headlines.

At 6'7", he is the tallest of the Trump siblings, and rises above his father, who is 6'4". He has been living at Mar-a-Lago with his parents.

Since moving to Palm Beach after his father left the White House, Barron has attended Oxbridge Academy, a college-preparatory school for grades 6-12 in West Palm Beach where annual tuition is a reported $41,500.

What has Donald Trump said about Barron?

Donald Trump has occasionally spoken about his son, mentioning in a pre-Super Bowl interview more than four years ago that Barron liked soccer. He also noted his youngest son is a computer whiz of sorts.

Trump said last week that Barron is “very popular” in school. In a separate interview, he said Barron occasionally offers him political advice.

During a radio interview with the Kayal and Company show on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia, Donald Trump said Barron advises him from time to time.

“It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do,’” Trump said on the show this month.

Where will Barron go to college?

That's another shrouded topic.

Donald Trump in the past has said he believed Barron would follow in his footsteps by attending the University of Pennsylvania. There has also been speculation that the young man might choose New York University in Manhattan, where he spent much of his childhood — and lived until his father was sworn in as the 45th president in early 2017.

But according to what Trump has told Newsweek, it looks like Barron is mulling other options now.

“Right now, he’s doing a great job,” Trump told the weekly news magazine. “He has great marks. He’s going to be going to college soon. And we’re looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago.”

Is Barron Trump into politics?

For three days last week, the answer appeared to be yes.

On May 8, NBC News reported that Barron Trump had been selected as a member of the Florida delegation to this summer's Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. As a delegate, he would join his half brothers Donald Jr. and Eric, and half sister Tiffany in casting votes to officially nominate their father as the GOP's presidential nominee for a third straight time.

But then, on the evening of May 10, Melania Trump issued a statement that saying that while Barron was honored to have been chosen, he was declining the opportunity due to prior commitments. She did not elaborate as to what those commitments might be.

If he follows a century of first family history, Barron Trump will not be a political player. Other children of presidents, such as Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton , who spent part of their childhood living in the White House have not pursued political careers.

The exception was the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, Caroline, who served as U.S. ambassador to Australia and Japan.

George W. Bush, the 43rd president, followed his father's footsteps to the White House, but he did not grow up in the presidential mansion. Ditto for his brother, Jeb, who served two terms as governor of Florida and unsuccessfully sought the presidency in 2016.

Will Donald Trump attend his son's graduation?

Yes, he was there.

Last month, Donald Trump fumed "that I can't go to my son's graduation" because of his ongoing New York business fraud trial. However, the judge presiding over the case dealing with the bookkeeping of an alleged hush money payment to a porn star subsequently canceled court on today, allowing Trump to attend the graduation.

Later today, the former president will jet off to Minnesota to speak at a GOP event there this evening.
