Welcome to Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati Airport/Station meet your driver and drive to Tezpur. Tezpur is a charming town with some beautifully kept parks, attractive lakes and enchanting views of the mighty Brahmaputra River as it laps the town’s edge. Check-in at the Hotel. Overnight in Tezpur.
Note: Peak season surcharges will be applicable during festivals events Durga Puja Diwali Christmas and New Year.
Tezpur – Dirang (1 Night) (160Kms / 4-5 hrs approx)
After breakfast, proceed to Dirang. Dirang is an almost picture-perfect Tibetan – Monpa stone village marred only by the main road. Above the picturesque stone houses rises a steep rocky hill topped with Old Dirangs Gompa and several walls. Overnight in Dirang.
- Breakfast & Dinner
Dirang – Tawang (2 nights) (150 Kms / 5 hrs Approx)
After breakfast drive to Tawang. En-route witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous)) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles, fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place. Tawang is situated at an altitude of 3500m. The natural beauty and solitude of Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi ranges, Tawang chu River and Tawang Valley are mesmerizing. The inhabitants of the districts are all of Monpa tribes except Shyo village which is dominated by people of Tibetan Origin. Overnight in Tawang.
After Breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of 400 years (17th century) old Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. The building is about 113 feet long and 80 feet wide and houses valuable antiquities, books and manuscripts-handwritten and printed. Later visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40-foot-high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Rest of the day free to stroll round the streets of the town. Overnight in Tawang.
Tawang – Bomdila (1 night) (180 Kms/ 6 Hrs approx)
After breakfast drive to Bomdila. Bomdila is the headquarters of West Kameng district located at the height of 8500 ft above the sea level. It has a lot of attractions for the tourists with its cool climate, Apple orchards, artistic people, snow-capped Himalayan peaks and Buddhist Gompas. The Buddhist monastery of Bomdila is the repository of culture. Explore the town in the afternoon. Overnight in Bomdila.
Bomdila – Guwahati (1 Night) (270 Kms / 7-8 Hrs Approx)
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. The gateway to the northeast and the largest and most cosmopolitan city in the region, Guwahati serves as the starting block for most Northeast itineraries. It’s a somewhat featureless city – a prosaic heap of glass and concrete for the most part – but there are scattering of interesting temples to explore. Walk its back alleys and old quarters, however, and you will be able to salvage a generous amount of local flavour that lingers amid its suburban sprawl of ponds, palm trees, small single-storey traditional houses and old colonial-era mansions. Overnight in Guwahati.
Departure to Guwahati airport/station
After breakfast, visit Kamakhya temple - The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. Also visit Navagraha Temple and Umananda Temple (by Govt. ferry). Later drive to Guwahati Airport /Station to board your flight/train to your hometown. Holiday Concludes. Let’s stay in touch on Facebook\email and meet again on another memorable Holiday. See you soon!

Guwahati – Arunachal Pradesh North East Tour
The Guwahati – Arunachal Pradesh tour’s day-based itinerary will be as follow:
- Day 1 – Guwahati to Bomdila / Dirang
- Day 2 – Bomdila / Dirang to Tawang
- Day 3 – Explore Things to see in Tawang
- Day 4 – Tawang – PT Tso – Shungestar Lake (Madhuri Lake) – Bum La (India – China border) – Tawang*
- Day 5 – Tawang to Bomdila / Dirang
- Day 6 – Bomdila / Dirang to Guwahati
A Week-long trip To Tawang and Bum la including Bomdilla, Dirang, and Sangti Valley – Arunachal Pradesh
Day 1 – guwahati to dirang .
We start from the Guwahati airport in the morning and enjoy our drive through the golden fields of Assam before we start ascending the hills of Arunachal Pradesh , taking a newly built road that makes for a fantastic drive and even better views.
On our way, we stop by the beautiful Gyuto monastery and spend some time exploring it. We stop for lunch at a small Tibetan settlement en route for lunch before proceeding further ahead. We halt at a lovely little town Dirang, overlooking two mountain rivers, for the night.
Day 2 – Dirang to Tawang.
We start for Tawang today and en route stops at the Nyukmadung war memorial and pay our respect to the fallen soldiers there.
Next, we stop at the mighty Se la and soak in the gorgeous views on and around it. We visit & pay our respect at the Tawang war memorial there and then warm ourselves with piping-hot tea at the army canteen there before we resume our onward journey. We stop for a small stroll by the lovely Sela Lake if time permits and then start for our next stop, the Nuranang waterfall, the sheer grandness of which is sure to make your jaws drop.
We reach our lovely homestay in Tawang by late evening and call it a day.
Day 3 – Tawang Tour.
We start our day by visiting the largest monastery in the world, the Tawang Monastery . We explore the place at our own pace before heading to the Urgeling monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama and the Ani Gompa.
In the evening, we visit the war memorial and experience the light and sound show there.
Day 4 – Penga Teng Tso, Madhuri Lake and Bumla.
We start early today to explore the beautiful lakes and valleys in the higher reaches of the region. On our way to our first stop, the Penga Teng Tso, we drive through what was once the battlefield.
The scars of the war can be seen scattered all around. From there we head to the uniquely beautiful Sungester Lake , also known as the Madhuri lake of Koyla (the Bollywood movie) fame.
Finally, we head towards the India-China border at Bum-la and spend some time at the border before starting our return journey to Tawang.
Day 5 – Tawang to Bomdila/Dirang.
We drive down to the Buddhist town of Dirang/Bomdilla today, taking the same road we took on our way up to Tawang. Only this time we will stay at a unique and special place for the night instead of staying at the same homestay (if staying in Bomdila ). By evening, we reach Bomdilla and stay in the monastery for the night(if available) or else at a lovely Monpa homestay, of course after exploring it.
If we stay at Dirang, it will probably be the same wonderful Dirang homestay of ours that will be your stay for the night.
Day 6 – Bomdila/Dirang to Gauhati.
We wake up early today so that we can explore the monastery once again, this time while the monks are busy praying.
After a hearty breakfast at the monastery, we start our return journey back to Guwahati which marks the end of this beautiful trip.

We were planning to visit the North East and some ease to access locations. We got in touch with NatureWings who suggested and designed the package for us which was for 6 days including 2 days stay each at Shillong, Cherrapunjee and Kaziranga. Naturewings had got our hotels booked and arranged for a cab pick up from the Guwahati airport who stayed with us during our journey and then finally dropped us back to the airport at Guwahati at the end of the trip. I must say not only the trip well planned but the choice of stay and the points to visit at the various tourist spots was very well thought of. The cab operator who was a local person was very friendly and helpful. He acted as guide to us and advised and informed us on points of interest. We had stayed at Orchid Lake Resort Barapani and Barbareek Inn at Shillong, at Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort at Cherrapunjee and at Wild Grass Resort at Kaziranga. The stay at these places were very comfortable and along with the tranquility and scenic beauty Orchid, Cherrapunjee Resort and Wild Grass Lodge it turned out to be a very memorable and enjoyable stay. Naturewings were also regularly in touch with us and though we really didn't need any help as everything was very well planned out. Must mention the support we got from Ms Arpita and later Mr. Ratul who kept in regular touch.

We have taken Kaziranga and Arunachal Trip through NatureWings in this year January month. It was Nine Nights trip with my three friends and their families. Our trip includes Kaziranga, Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila and Bhalukpong. We are from Mumbai and we got the reference of NatureWings from one of my close friend, who took the North East Package Tour from NatureWings last year and suggested me to take the Kaziranga Package Tour along with Arunachal with NatureWings only as they were extremely happy with NatureWings Service. So after a discussion, we did lots of customization as our choice and they revised the itinerary happily so many times. We have planned for Kaziranga Jungle Safari for long and our first day was in Kaziranga Jungle and on the next day early morning we took the famous Kaziranga Elephant Safari . It was only once in a life time experience as we could see the One Horn Rhinos just from few metre distance. In the afternoon, we took the Kaziranga Jeep Safari in the central range and that too was great experience. We stayed in a nice resort close to Kaziranga Western Range and resort was very beautiful with nice ambience, food and service were extremely good. Next day, we started for Western Aurnachal and we visited Bomdila, Tawang, Diranga and Bhalukpong and overall Arunachal experience was also very good. Thank you NatureWings for providing best experience in our North East Package.

We were very confused about whether to choose Arunachal Pradesh as our holiday destination but NatureWings, especially Suman convinced us that it will be a good journey and he made it. Thank u, Suman. You made it. We were fascinated by the enchanting beauty of Arunachal. It's really a gem in the North East travel sector. The hotels, homestay, the driver provided were really commendable and cordial especially when you are traveling such an extreme part of any location, The driver must be very friendly, faithful, and cordial and that one provided by NatureWings was perfect. Thank you, Suman and NatureWings for such a nice and perfect trip.
We booked our Arunachal Tour for Nov 2019 end. We were 6 persons traveling from Mumbai. We reached Gauhati by air and from there, our Arunachal Tour started with a tour guide cum driver provided by NatureWings. In this remote off-beat destination like Arunachal, you have to depend entirely on your driver and thankfully we got a decent and cordial driver throughout our Arunachal Tour. On our return, we visited Kamakhya Temple and offered puja. It was a nice trip. Mr. Suman from NatureWings deserves a Kudos.

It was such an amazing tour to Arunachal Pradesh that I can't get over it even after a year of our visit especially the quaint town of Tawang. Our family planned to have an incredible vacation to this North Eastern State with our journey starting from Guwahati and covering beautiful places like Bhalukpong, Dirang, Tawang, Bomdila, Tezpur, and Kaziranga. The destination was great, and we enjoyed a lot while staying in good accommodation amidst the mountains, quiet nature with serenity and peace was true bliss.

NatureWings Holidays arranged our Tawang Trip from Mumbai and it was a great experience we all had due to an exceptionally well-planned trip by Mr. Sandip Raha. All hotels we stayed in were good and hygienic, with our very polite driver who kept the car very clean. We appreciate and recommend NatureWings Holidays for worry-free Tawang related tours.

We went to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh in the 2019 Diwali vacation from Delhi and booked our tour through NatureWings Holidays based on online reviews. They handled the whole trip with great care and we received follow-up calls from them on daily basis. The hotels booked were good and after spending 13 days we again wished to visit this State once again through this professional travel agency who assured us their best service.
Thanks a lot to NatureWings Holidays managed by Mr. Sandip Raha, and only for him my North East Tour was a great success. The whole arrangement was superb and everything was systematic and praiseworthy. Utmost care was taken to see our age, liking, difficulties, and choices before booking our hotels and car at a lucrative rate. I recommend every North East explorer to choose NatureWings as their travel partner for a worry-free and reliable trip.

Tawang is a beautiful place to visit while on a North East Package Tour and in early 2020 we got a chance to explore this beautiful place amidst the tough mountains. The highlight of this place is its 400 years old Tawang monastery along with few ads on nearby places like Jaswant Singh Memorial, Nuranang falls, Bumla Pass, Sangetsar Lake, and War memorial. Although the place was undoubtedly great with a good stay, but the food is an issue here as my mother being vegetarian had to rely upon minimal options, but other than that we had a great family time.
