Love these drinks

Love these drinks! Love having the subscription turn up, and it's really easy to skip a month if needed like I did when I went away. I don't love the shipping they use Huboo which was unhelpful with a delivery query but the products themselves are fab.

I love this product, my favourite is the elderflower and mint, I’ve tried all the others and that’s the one I like best. A great alternative to alcohol and a different way to unwind

Date of experience : 27 March 2024

Outstanding customer service

Outstanding customer service! The products they sell of the best quality. Tastes really good! No nasty ingredients. 5* all the way! Highly recommend to try if out you still haven’t.

Funky taste but amazing nights sleep

I’ve tried the other trip drinks and not been taken with them, they didn’t do the job replacing alcohol. got the heavier one and despite being quite shocked by the taste ( it’s like vinegar with sugar in it) I had an amazing nights sleep and woke up really rested. It only works for me if I take a magnesium with it. Without it nothing happens. It does have magnesium in it but obviously not enough for me. The funky taste grows on you especially as you know you’re going to get a great nights sleep. I have no problem falling asleep but I’ve always woken up in the night. I didn’t buy it to help with sleep so I’m very pleasantly surprised.

So far so good 😊

Taken the plunge to come off of my anxiety tablets (at medical advice) But I still have dull days. Just received my order today, had one of the drinks and tried the orange blossom drops and within half an hour I can feel a difference! Very calming, and general life seems a lot more tolerable 😂 Will judge long term and update! Thanks Trip!

Fabulous Customer Service

I haven't received my first order yet as I mistakenly auto filled my old address in delivery details. Contacted customer services and offered to pay any additional delivery charges - Olive came back very quickly to say they'd happily send me a new box out free of charge. What brilliant CS!! Thank you Trip

Date of experience : 09 January 2024

Charged for Items I didn't order

Retailer added products to my order 2 hours after my order was placed without permission, charging my card additional funds and then refused to accept a return of the items as they are 'perishable', even though items weren't part of my original order - leaving me with the cost DO NOT RECOMMEND

Date of experience : 18 March 2024

I wanted to give this 5 stars.

Despite the usual excellent customer service, speedy delivery and of course amazing quality for the price, I unfortunately can not give this review 5 stars as I'm not completely satisfied with my purchase. I brought the 2 newest flavours boost up and calm down, the blood orange has replaced the elderflower mint as my new favorite but I was dissappointed with the raspberry orange blossom, I was expecting a fruity tangy flavour but all I can taste in every can is vinegar. I am upset by this as I was truly looking forward to trying this as this sounds delicious but everytime I've opened a new can I feel like I'm only drinking the apple cider vinegar additive. This hasn't stop me for supporting them as a company as this has been a one off for me, on the brightside I know what not to try moving forward. Still love the brand and boost up is as delicious as I had hoped.

Absolutely love these drinks!

Absolutely love these drinks! I'm not a fan of normal fizzy drinks or flavoured waters and get very bored with plain water to drink. These are fab if you want something that maybe tastes a bit like a cocktail (pour over ice and enjoy!) and help chill you out a bit. Also a great alternative if you're not wanting to drink anything alcoholic but want something a bit tasty that's not sweet or boring!

Reply from TRIP Drinks

We're so happy to hear you enjoyed them Jane 💛

Thank you, Trip!

I have no idea what I'd do without my trip! Really gentle way to mellow out in times of stress/ busyness/ wanting to wind down. Love the dosage options and flavours available, alongside the extra ingredients to enhance CBDs natural effect. Plus- you can't go wrong with pink packaging !

Date of experience : 12 September 2023

Pink is always a winner Natasha! Thank you for sharing this review :)

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I’m now a regular customer of Trip having found nothing but amazing benefits from using their CBD oil to control my anxiety. It’s not a cure but it does dissipate those awful butterflies enough for you to get hold of things in a natural and far more beneficial way. Have been recommending Trip to my friends and family too. The drinks are also a really nice and refreshing addition to your more stressful days. Take a deep breath, breathe deeply and enjoy your Trip.xx

We're so happy to hear this Sophie! Thank you for sharing your experience 😍

Refreshing but slightly medicinal

The drinks are refreshing, but also have a medicinal aftertaste, but I think that just comes with territory of CBD inspired drinks. I did feel more calm after consumption. I might buy another one before my next long haul flight

CBD newbie... A lifetime convert

Great introductory offer and what a great company and product. Delivery was fast, the product itself is superb quality. The subscription is easy to change and good value for money. Never tried cbd before but the calm it gives without tiredness or brain fog is tremendous. I don't think I'll ever stop taking it, but it's helped bin the alcohol.

Date of experience : 11 September 2023

So happy we can be helping you to find your calm Lucie!

First time trying Trip

Tried Trip for the first time after getting a promotional code for signing up for a monthly subscription. I got the pack of 6, with the 3 different flavours, the mint and elderflower takes some getting used to but the peach and ginger is lovely! I’m not sure I felt the full effect after 1 can so I’m keeping my subscription to up my intake and see what happens. Great price though for a great product and delivered earlier than expected too.

Date of experience : 22 August 2023

Thank you so much for the feedback Louise! Dosing is really personal - similar to how caffeine or alcohol can affect everyone differently. Feel free to start with a lower regular dose (15-30MG per serving) then note how you feel and top up with additional drinks or oils if needed. For context, our CBD drinks contain 15MG per can, our 300MG CBD oils contain 20MG per dropper, and our 1000MG oils contain 66MG per dropper 💛

Brilliant alternative to alcohol!

Absolutely love Trip drinks and so pleased there’s now a subscription service with a lower price. Also really pleased with the new Duo drinks packs with Elderflower & Mint and Lemon & Basil (Ginger and Peach is nice, but you can’t taste the peach at all… so my least favourite of the 3). Also to say, I now reach for these instead of wine and they’ve played a significant part in keeping me booze free.

Welcome to The Calm Club! What a great review to receive, thank you so much for sharing!

I love these drinks as an anytime daily…

I love these drinks as an anytime daily drink but also a substitute for alcohol. I felt the benefits of the CBD oil after using it over a few weeks, mainly to sleep quality and a calmer mood! As a nutritionist @nourishedforlife I look for quality ingredients and Trip ticked many boxes for me, in fact I recommend it to my clients! ✌🏼

Date of experience : 15 September 2023

So glad you're enjoying and recommending to your clients Kam!

Great cbd oil. Great company

I've been using the orange blossom and chamomile 1000mg cbd oil at night to help with sleep. I find it is really good and helps relax me. The company are brilliant. I ordered another bottle in the afternoon, the following lunchtime it was delivered! I would definitely recommend. I was a bit sceptical at first, but glad I've given it a try.

Date of experience : 13 September 2023

So good to hear we are helping you to get a good night's sleep✨

Good experience of products and service

I took advantage of an introductory package and am enjoying trying the TRIP drops and drinks. I am particularly impressed with the drinks which are unusual but sophisticated flavours and I have noticed that I feel like I am having an indulgent treat when I open one and relax in the evening. I feel calm and "at one with the world" without that heavy fuzzy feeling from alcohol. My favourite is the Elderflower and Mint. I would certainly recommend the drinks. Its hard to comment on the drops as its only my first week but I will keep using them and then see whether to reorder.

Date of experience : 23 August 2023

Thank you so much the amazing feedback Jacqueline 💛

Love a can of Trip

Love a can of Trip, peach and ginger is my favourite, help me unwind and stop reaching for the wine!

New rasperry and orange blossom drink is simply vile

Have just tried the new flavour - raspberry and orange blossom. It tastes like diluted cider vinegar and is absolutely vile. AnnoyingIy, I ordered 12 cans of the stuff, having very much enjoyed the other flavours. I tried to offload them to a friend but she tried it and actually spat it out!

TRIP CBD Oil Review: Worth Buying – Or Not?

Trip CBD Oil

CBD has become a pretty massive deal over recent years. A recent survey showed that 29% of UK residents have now tried CBD products. This is unsurprising when they’re so ubiquitous on almost every high street. Even household names like Boots and Holland and Barrett sell CBD nowadays.

I published a review of Trip CBD drinks some time ago. I now follow that with this Trip CBD Oil review. But before I get into it, I shall tell you a little about my own experience with CBD, and add a few (perhaps controversial) opinions about the CBD industry in general. Let’s begin.

The CBD Marketplace

Anybody keen to learn about the benefits of CBD soon discovers that it’s all a bit of a minefield. It’s a crowded market with a lot of lofty claims, and no shortage of – frankly – garbage products that are not worth the money.

I was something of an “early adopter” when it comes to CBD. I’ve been using a wide range of products on an (almost) daily basis for several years. I’m also an obsessive researcher, and have spent many many hours learning about the technicalities of how CBD works, dosages, and the meaning of mysterious terms like “isolate” and “full spectrum.” (More on those in a moment).

A side effect of this is that, over recent years, I’ve found myself in many high street shops being told absolute nonsense about some of the CBD products on sale. You really do have to do your research to ensure you end up with products that provide genuine benefit. (A spoiler for this Trip CBD Oil review is that Trip is one of the more decent ones, but we’ll come to that in a minute!)

I suspect a fair few of the 29% of Brits who have tried CBD have ended up disappointed – not because it wouldn’t ever work for them, but because they were using a crappy product, or something with a dosage so low it would be unlikely to do anything useful.

I guess the above should serve as some reassurance that I know what I’m talking about then it comes to CBD. Let’s talk a little about how it’s helped me, and why I continue to take it.

CBD Benefits – And My Experiences

Much has been written about the mental and physical health benefits of using CBD. I must mention that I’m not making any health claims whatsoever, and can only comment on my own experiences.

Healthline lists the following as health benefits of CBD, based on research:

  • Better sleep.
  • Reduced pain and inflammation.
  • Better heart health.
  • Relief from IBD symptoms.
  • Reduced anxiety and depression.

Personally, my two main reasons for using CBD are to relieve anxiety, which I struggle with, and to help with sleep and insomnia.

CBD has helped enormously with my sleep. I feel that it helps me to relax, and definitely helps to “take the edge off”, allow me to unwind in the evening, and (sometimes) ease my racing thoughts.

I say sometimes, because CBD isn’t a miracle cure. If my anxiety is particularly high, CBD can relieve it, but it won’t cure it. Most of the time, CBD helps me get a really good, solid nights sleep, and also helps me drift off much more easily. But every now and then I’ll still get one of my insomnia nights – they’re just much rarer these days.

I’ll come back to some more general discussion around CBD later in this Trip CBD review – but let’s get on and talk about the product.

Trip CBD Oil Review: First Impressions

Trip has become a very successful UK CBD brand. When I first tried Trip drinks, I ordered them online, but you now see them all over the place. Both the drinks and the oil are now stocked in Holland and Barrett, and you can find all of Trip’s products on Amazon UK .

I personally like Trip’s branding and packaging. It feels premium, and I particularly like the attractive oil bottles (although a little see-through section so you could see how much is left would perhaps make sense!)

Trip CBD Oil Bottle

Interestingly, I happened upon an animated Facebook discussion recently, where a few people were criticising Trip’s choice of brandname. They felt that the word “Trip” had negative, drug-related connotations. I guess it’s a point of debate, but it all seemed a little silly to me. We’re all grown-ups and Trip’s wellbeing focused marketing certainly doesn’t seem to point to psychoactive effects. Anybody looking for such will be sorely disappointed with any CBD products available in the UK!

Trip CBD Oil: Ingredients and Credentials

Trip CBD Oil is made from “the highest quality, vegan, gluten-free CBD.”

Fair enough – I mean it’s not as if any CBD has meat or gluten in it, but it’s still a true statement!

Trip also adds botanicals such as ginseng, turmeric and and chamomile to its CBD oil. This is something I’m seeing more and more in CBD products these days. With Trip, it certainly has a flavour benefit, as I talk about below. Beyond that, I’ve not noticed anything tangibly different, effects-wise, compared to other CBD products.

Trip uses “premium CBD derived from hemp” and is made in the UK. The company’s website says that all products are third-party lab tested, and that people can get in touch with any questions. Lab certificates are not availabel on the Trip website, or at least not that I found.

Is Trip CBD Oil Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or Isolate?

The ingredients on the bottle of Trip CBD oil I have in front of me state:

  • MCT Oil (from coconuts).
  • Natural mint flavouring.
  • Chamomile extract.

What it doesn’t state is whether the CBD is full spectrum, broad spectrum or CBD isolate.

In case you’re wondering what on earth I’m banging on about, here’s a quick explanation.

Full spectrum CBD products include not just CBD, but a whole host of other cannabinoids – usually including a (legal) trace amount of THC – the bit of cannabis that gets you high.

This doesn’t mean that a full-spectrum CBD product will get you high, but many people believe that this closeness to how nature intended it creates an “entourage effect,” delivering the effects of CBD at their best.

(For what it’s worth, I do tend to find that full spectrum products often provide the most notable “effects” (such as they are), such as a notable onset of relaxation. However, no legal CBD product in the UK gets you “high.”

Broad Spectrum is essentially the same as full spectrum, but with all of the THC removed.

Isolate is usually 99+% pure CBD – and best for those who want to avoid even the tiniest trace of THC and other cannabinoids. It’s CBD in its purest form – which is either a benefit or disadvantage depending on your viewpoint.

I’m guessing that Trip CBD oil is isolate-based. I’ve contacted the company to confirm, and will update this review as soon as I know.

Trip CBD Review: My Experiences

I’ve used both varieties of Trip CBD oil (Wild Mint and Chamomile and Orange Blossom and Chamomile) over a period of several months. In both incidences, I’ve chosen the stronger 1000mg variety, over the weaker 300mg. (I discuss dosage below).

I usually take somewhere between half and two-thirds of a dropper when I’m relaxed in bed and almost ready to sleep. I find that Trip’s oil sees me drifting off very quickly once it’s kicked in – usually after 30-45 minutes.

Trip CBD Oil bottles

I almost always sleep very well after taking CBD. I also tend to have very vivid dreams. This can be a good or a bad thing. I recently suffered a bereavement and my mind had a lot to process. Vivid is good when the dreams are good – but not so much when they’re bad! However, I did some Googling and found out many positive benefits of the subconcious processing things when we sleep. I now take more of a “bring it on” attitude to my dreams – whatever they turn out to be.

I do also find that I often tend to wake up feeling nice and chilled after using Trip’s CBD – which is lovely on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

One thing I particularly like about Trip’s CBD oil is the taste. I don’t mind the earthy cannabis taste that you get from some CBD oils, but some people hate it, and it’s not always what you want. I particularly like Trip’s Wild Mint variety, because I can use it after brushing my teeth without immediately wanting to brush again!

I tend to use CBD oil as a bed time thing (I prefer gummies and vapes for any daytime use, which is only occasional for me). Mileage will inevitably vary for treating conditions like stress, anxiety, depression and IBS.

A Word on Dosage

Each full dropper of Trip’s strong variety contains approximately 66mg of CBD.

CBD dosage is an incredibly personal thing. Some people claim to have positive results after three drops of a weak oil, others claim to need much more. The UK Food Standards Agency has recently started recommending a maximum of 70mg per day.

I’m not sure what science that’s based on. Clinical studies have used daily dosages of anything from 20mg to a staggering 1500mg per day.

For what it’s worth, I take somewhere between 25mg and 70mg per day usually. However, that’s not advice on a recommended dosage for you .

There are two other things that cloud the dosage debate even further. They’re both a bit scientific, but if you really want CBD to work for you, it’s worth doing some study.

The first is bioavailability. This is all about how much CBD actually gets into your system depending on how you consume it. Vaping CBD, for example, delivers far more of the active ingredient than a swallowed product. That’s why many people recommend taking oil by leaving it under your tongue for a minute or so before swallowing. (This is a good primer on bioavailability ).

Even more technical is the fact that CBD seems to work on “an inverted U-shaped dose-response curve.” As I understand it, that means that there’s an optimal dose for everybody, and both too little and too much can mean missing that optimal dose.

How the above seems to translate for me is that while the “right” dose of CBD can make me relaxed and perhaps even sleepy, too much doesn’t make me more relaxed or sleepy. It can go the other way, and I go beyond sleepy and into energised.

What I’m saying here – perhaps in a rather long-winded way – is that you really do have to find your OWN dosage. There’s no easy route to that, with everybody and every body being very different.

Trip CBD: Value

The standard price for Trip CBD Oil, per 15 ml bottle is:

  • £18 for 300mg.
  • £39 for 1000mg.

This is a fair and average price for this kind of product, and it’s worth mentioning that it often seems to be on offer. (For example, the 1000mg was £25 at the time of writing this). Note that you can also save 15% and with code AFFTRIP15 using this link .

Trip CBD deserves its place in my medicine cabinet.

It feels like a… clean product in every way – from the high-end packaging to the effects. It tastes good, and not “weedy”, which is pretty rare for CBD oil. I personally find that it relaxes me and helps me to sleep and dream.

Recommended.

(Please note that while I self-purchased my first bottle of oil for this Trip CBD Oil review , the second was sent to me free of charge. My opinion cannot be bought, and these opinions are solely my own).

Trip CBD Oil Review

A good, mainstream UK CBD product. I’d like a little more transparency on lab tests and the type of CBD used, but I’m happy using this with confidence.

Thanks for the review, really helpful. You mentioned gummies, which do you recommend and how do they taste?

I have been using gummies more often recently. The ones from Orange Country CBD are worth a try. I plan to publish a review of them at some point.

Cannabidiol-based drinks: the price is rather high, but will you be?

CBDs: are they the elusive hangover-free drinks?

Cannabidiols (CBDs), the non-psychoactive element of cannabis, are legal and widely sold in drinks. Do they work, could they replace alcohol – and are they even drinkable? We test five candidates ...

W alk past almost any chemist these days, and you’ll see a windowful of CBD-based products, and demand for the stuff is now so great – particularly over the last stressful few months – that it has migrated into drinks as disparate as as soft drinks, tea and gin. And it’s legal.

CBD (short for cannabidiol) is the non-psychoactive component of cannabis, and is claimed to have significant health benefits, including pain relief and the reduction of stress and anxiety. The labelling often features words such as “calm”, “harmony” and “balance”, although some brand names, such as Trip and Colorado High, suggest something altogether more stimulating.

So do CBD drinks contain enough to have a therapeutic effect? Possibly, if you drink more than one of them, or supplement them with a shot, drops or a cream. The Food Standards Agency recommends a maximum 70mg a day , but regular users I’ve spoken to consumed more like 100-200mg, which is quite impressive when many drinks contain as little as 10mg a serving. Like alcohol and caffeine, the effect can differ from one person to the next, and the only product that had a marked effect on me was Kannaswiss’s C3 shot (£35 for a pack of seven), which was packed with other ingredients and really did leave me feeling unusually sharp and focused .

Taste is another issue. The basic taste of hemp is quite earthy and vegetal, which isn’t the biggest draw, so many new brands, such as Trip , Intune and Gibson’s Goodology , are understandably focusing on flavour. As you can see from today’s panel (below), these products don’t come cheap, even though CBD-based drinks are not currently taxed like alcoholic ones. And if one of the reasons you’re feeling stressed is financial, spending £10 a day on CBD drinks and shots isn’t going to work.

That said, the demand is certainly out there. When Silent Pool put its Colorado High Gin online six weeks ago, it sold 800 bottles in two days, despite the £50 price tag, while Hatter’s became Holland & Barrett’s fastest-selling tea earlier this year, shifting more than 25,000 boxes in the first month. Supermarkets have yet to come on board, but CBD drinks are already on sale in such respectable emporia as Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

The great commercial opportunity, of course, is that CBD drinks can be piggybacked on to the equally buoyant alcohol-free market. An adult soft drink that makes you feel good without giving you a hangover, and that’s the holy grail.

Five CBD-based drinks to try

Hatter’s Hemp Chamomile Tea

Hatter’s CBD-infused chamomile tea £19.99 for 20 bags(with a second bag currently on offer for 1p), Holland & Barrett . Definitely more interesting than a standard chamomile tea (50% of this is hemp) with a pleasantly soporific effect. The lemongrass and rosehip tea is also nice.

Trip Lemon Basil

Trip Lemon Basil £2.39 a 250ml can Planet Organic , £2.99 nabino.com , £19.99 for six from drink-trip.com . My favourite of the Trip range, a soft, sparkling drink that contains 15mg CBD per can, as well as L-theanine, ginseng, lemon balm and rooibos. Like a pleasantly herby lemonade.

Gibson’s Goodology Jasmine Tea and Rhubarb

Gibson’s Goodology Jasmine Tea and Rhubarb £4.95 a 250ml can, Hic! (or £14.85 for 3). Developed by one of London’s leading mixologists, Hide’s Oskar Kinberg , this tea-based drink has the highest level of CBD per serve (25mg a can), and also the best, most natural fruit flavours of any of the drinks I tried. Really delicious.

Silent Pool Distillers Colorado High CBD gin

Silent Pool Distillers Colorado High CBD Gin £50 for 50cl silentpooldistillers.com (or £59 in a bundle with tonic ) , 40%. There’s enough CBD in this gin (10mg per 25ml serve) to make it cloudy and give it a strong, earthy, almost spicy flavour. Combined with the recommended Green Stem CBD-infused citrus tonic, a large G&T would be about 26/7mg. Judging by the demand, it clearly appeals, but it’s super-pricey for a 50cl bottle, and I have to say I prefer the basic Silent Pool gin .

Doña Sofia Gin & Tonic

Doña Sofia Gin & Tonic £12 for 6 250ml cans dona-sofia.com , 5%. More like a cocktail than G&T, but with an attractive, marmaladey, bitter orange flavour offsetting the relativelyhigh sugar content (15.75g a can). One of the only products to admit the CBD content might vary by +/-15% (they say it’s 10mg), which could make it as low as 8.5mg or as high as 11.5mg. Good value at this launch price.

Trip CBD drinks & oils review (our honest thoughts)

Trip CBD drinks

3 minute read

Updated February 15th, 2024

TRIP is a CBD brand based in the UK. We first heard about TRIP after seeing their CBD drinks stocked in a few supermarkets like Sainsbury's , but after conducting a bit of research we realised that their CBD oils are also very popular.

For this reason we decided to conduct a review of TRIP CBD products. We'll be taking a look at their products and third-party reviews, let's get into it:

Who is TRIP?

There is a nice 'Our Story' section on the TRIP website that provides you with a bit of background about the TRIP team. The brand was founded by couple Dan and Live was back in 2019. Dan suffered a knee injury weeks before the pair were supposed to get married, and he needed something to get him back on his feet and up the aisle without hobbling. He tried CBD and found it to be effective for his recovery. So once the marriage papers had been signed, Dan and Liv wasted no time in starting their own CBD brand.

We love this backstory because it comes from a genuine place and we recommend you check out the 'About Us' page for the full story.

Are the TRIP CBD products (drinks & oils) good?

TRIP is perhaps best known for their CBD drinks, but they do have CBD oils also. Let's start with the CBD drinks:

TRIP has 3 lightly sparkling drinks and a cold-brew coffee that you can choose from. Flavours include elderflower mint (pictured here), peach ginger (pictured at the top) and lemon basil. Each can contains around 15mg of CBD which is a nice dosage, and they're all also low-calorie too (19 calories in a can of the elderflower mint). Unlike many CBD drinks that we see, these are lab-tested and contain absolutely no added sugar, which is impressive.

Likewise, the cold-brew coffee contains 15mg of CBD and is made with Guatemalan specialty grade coffee brewed for 24 hours in East London.

What about the TRIP CBD oils?

If you'd rather check out the CBD oils then TRIP also have a pretty good range - you can choose between 4 different CBD oils with 2 different flavours (Wild Mint or Orange Blossom). Strengths are either 300mg or 1000mg of CBD per bottle. These products are also third-party tested and made in the UK.

Overall we're really impressed with this range and recommend you explore it for yourself.

cbd trip drink review

What are the TRIP third-party reviews like?

TRIP collects reviews for their CBD products directly on their product pages which is really convenient. As you can see from the screenshot we've included, their products are highly rated - including the Wild Mint CBD oil which has a near-perfect score from over 60 reviews. We recommend you explore the product pages for yourself so check those out.

TRIP CBD oil reviews

In Conclusion

The TRIP brand is perhaps best known for their range of CBD drinks, but they also have some awesome CBD oils. Definitely check these products out!

This review was published by the CBD Bible team. We publish hundreds of reviews every month, feel free to explore our website for more reviews and CBD guides.

Honestly Helen

Review: Trip CBD drinks to replace alcohol?

Like a lot of people, lockdown (parts 1 through 3) left me with some pretty unhealthy habits; I’m not a fan of places that are too crowded any more, if I have to go and work in an office I need at least a week to gear myself up, we ordered far to many take aways and we drank way too much. I mean, what else was there to do at weekends right? So after a couple of lovely holidays earlier this year and a very boozy pre birthday weekend in London, we decided we just needed to calm down a little bit a do a little it of a reset. Problem was, that Friday night glass of wine, the segway drug from the working week into the weekend was one of my favourite times of the week, and that was going to be a big miss for me. So we decided to give Trip CBD drinks a go!

cbd trip drink review

I’d seen Trip drinks advertised on instagram and a couple of friends had tried them with good reviews, so perhaps they were the answer to my Friday night prayers?

So, we hot footed it over to our local Holland and Barratt , where thankfully they had all three flavours; Peach Ginger, Elderflower Mint, and Lemon Basil. And it depends how you like your fruit to herb ratio but for me, they are too strong on the herby side and not that strong on the fruit side. Particularly the peach one, I love peach flavoured things and can’t stand ginger so sadly this one was a no go for me. The Elderflower Mint one was probably my favourite, with lots of ice and in a gin glass, it tasted a lot like a Mojito.

cbd trip drink review

CBD (cannabidiol) is the non-psychoactive compound found in hemp plants but unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)it doesn’t get you high Which is probably a good thing because the last time I ate too many muffins on a trip to Amsterdam it didn’t end well – I did have the best nights sleep over though! It’s also safe to drink any time and tolerances can differ, much like caffeine and alcohol, so probably better you try one and see how you get on before pounding a six pack before work.

We shared the three cans between the two of us, but, the magic question, did they work? For me, sadly no, as in, they certainly didn’t replace that whit wine buzz on a Friday night. Did they calm me down and make me feel a bit more chilled out? Yeah, a little bit. I would buy them again, especially now they’re also available in Asda and we can get them as part of our weekly shop, but probably more for a Sunday or a midweek when I feel like I need calming down a bit when I wouldn’t be drinking alcohol anyway.

So it’s not a sufficient replacement for alcohol in my humble opinion however still think it probably has a place in my life anyway now and again, when then pressures of being a medicore blogging with dwindling stats gets on top of me!

TRIP CBD review: Does it really work? (2024)

If you can see past their trendy lifestyle ads you will find an ineffective product that is more placebo than CBD.

All of TRIP CBD's products on a white wooden surface, including the drinks and the oils for this TRIP CBD review

Heads up! This blog may contain affiliate links. These keep my site running (and me fed). Read my disclaimer & vetting process .

The drinks are refreshing

The oils have a lovely flavour, i felt no effects from the cbd, their drinks contain sweeteners.

CBD has become very trendy in recent years, but is it a complete fad? Well, I’ve been testing out TRIP drinks and oils to find out for myself. In this comprehensive TRIP CBD review, I’ll walk you through my personal experiences with their products, delving into the claims and credibility behind their products.

You may benefit from finding out about the state of my health and well-being. I am a 29-year-old female with depression, anxiety and many a phobia. I’m also pretty certain that I am autistic and so suffer from regular meltdowns.

I’ve had some positive experiences using CBD in the past, but TRIP has fallen short of expectations. Continue reading to find out why!

Disclaimer: I have recently updated this review. Initially, I had a somewhat positive experience with their CBD. But it stopped working within a month. After doing some in-depth research into CBD and chatting with an expert in the world of hemp, I discovered that TRIP contains CBD isolate. Great for topical use, but pretty pointless for ingesting ( read the science ). Therefore, all I was experiencing was a short-lived placebo.

What is TRIP?

TRIP is a wellness lifestyle brand that sells a range of CBD products, including sparkling drinks and CBD oils. All TRIP CBD products, including their drinks and oils, are completely legal. This is because they only contain CBD and no THC. This means you won’t get high from consuming their products, nor will you get arrested.

My experience: The pros

Now you know a little bit more about the brand, let me take you through my own positive experiences with their products.

If you enjoy drinking soft drinks and you are after a healthier alternative that still tastes good, then you’ll enjoy TRIP’s CBD drinks. I enjoy all three flavours and find them to be light and refreshing.

They are perfect for a sunny day in the park or as an alcohol-free alternative at a party.

It is handy that they can be found in Boots and at Holland & Barrett. Allowing you to pick up one of these instead of a sugary soft drink. Although, they do contain sweeteners (more on that below).

If you’ve tried any CBD supplements before then you may know that they taste like, you guessed it, hemp. This is a strong flavour that not everyone is going to enjoy. However, I found all of the TRIP oils to be quite tasty.

The oils come in two flavours: Wild Mint and Orange Blossom. Once again, these are both lovely and I find they leave a really lovely cooling sensation in the mouth.

However, it is worth noting that the reason they don’t taste too much of hemp is because they are made using CBD isolate, which removes a lot of the smell and taste, as well as a few other important things… More on that here .

Lucy taking a dose of CBD from Trip for this TRIP CBD review

My experience: The cons

Whilst I enjoyed consuming TRIP’s CBD products, I was pretty underwhelmed by the results. At the end of the day, you are buying their products for the CBD in them, and this is where they fall short!

In the beginning, I felt quite chilled out after taking TRIP’s CBD. To the point that I was convinced they worked. Until they didn’t. After about 3 weeks of consistently taking their high-strength CBD oil, I began feeling absolutely nothing.

My daily stress was back, it wasn’t calming down my panic attacks, and my bruxism was just as bad as before. So, I stopped buying it. I thought maybe my body had built up a tolerance. Well, that was until I got chatting to an expert in the CBD world. He was telling me about CBD isolate and how it is commonly used in CBD oils, yet it only works when used topically.

Your body simply pees most of it out. Whereas, a full-spectrum CBD oil has loads of other beneficial components of the plant that work together to create a well-rounded experience that your body can absorb. As nature intended!

High strength or not, TRIP’s CBD was all coming out in my wee. Yes, the rhyme was intended.

Therefore, it would appear that I was experiencing a somewhat pricey placebo effect! I have since been testing out a variety of full-spectrum CBD oils that contain a mixture of other key components of the cannabis plant, including terpenes and CBG. These have been working for me long-term.

I completely understand why most drinks companies are turning to sweeteners, they contain fewer calories and brands can avoid harsh sugar taxes, but my gut doesn’t get on well with them.

Some are worse than others, and fortunately, TRIP has used stevia which I can tolerate enough to enjoy their drinks. I would personally love a variation that uses sugar, or the natural sweetness from fruit juice.

If you are on the lookout for a well-branded and exciting CBD brand that sells tasty drinks and oils, then TRIP may well be for you. But if you are actually on the lookout for a CBD product that will aid you with sleep, anxiety, pain, and much more, then you would be better off spending your money on a full-spectrum CBD oil.

TRIP Incorporates Adaptogen In 4 New Blends And Launches Mindful Range. Pictured: TRIP's original ... [+] CBD range

TRIP , UK’s largest private soft drinks company with a focus on mindfulness and wellness, has launched its new range of proprietary functional blends, incorporating mushrooms and adaptogens in 4 fresh flavors.

Having created the brand new drinking category of “calm” and making its CBD-infused beverages a must-have amongst Gen Zs and Millennials despite the stigma traditionally attached to the hemp-derived ingredient, TRIP ’s new range, launched with 4 SKUs formulated with Lion’s Mane, Magnesium, and Ashwagandha, offers a new way to find calm in the every day chaos that is modern life.

Ponting out that the emerging ingredients have been gathering momentum and going viral due to their healing and soothing powers, Olivia Ferdi, cofounder of TRIP, says the brand “have led the growth of the functional drinks category and are excited to continue the trailblazing impact in the sector.”

“As consumers continue to prioritize health and wellness, the new Mindful Blend provides an accessible way to incorporate these trending ingredients into your lifestyle and a new way to unwind,” Ferdi adds. “Millions already find calm through the functionality of our CBD drinks, and seeing the increased demand and popularity of these ingredients has made it clear that there is a market for us to expand into a new range of soft drinks.”

The new functional drinks will debut with two exclusive flavors, Cucumber Mint and Blood Orange Rosemary, alongside two of the most popular flavors from its core range, Elderflower Mint and Raspberry Orange Blossom. “The flavors are inspired by memories of good times and favorite cocktails,” Ferdi explains, and says the unique blend aims to provide consumers with a new way to find calm through the powerful and popular health benefits of these functional ingredients, in an accessible canned form.

Having cut through to bring the notion of “better for you” to the mainstream, TRIP’s rapid growth reflects how clearly welcomed such a move is by the modern day consumers who are ever more mental health conscious. Since the brand’s inception in 2019, TRIP as a business has gone from strength to strength. Merely a year on since my last interview with the brand’s cofounders, TRIP’s retail coverage in the UK has gone from 15,000, as per March 2023, to over 25,000 as the list of stockists stands currently. TRIP continues to be UK’s no.1 CBD brand and the fastest growing soft drink company in January 2024.

Launching alongside the new Mindful Blend will be TRIP’s first ever TV campaign, aiming at driving further brand awareness and the importance of looking after one’s mental wellbeing. Speaking of this key milestone, Ferdi says: “Our mission is to help millions of people find calm and make plant-powered wellbeing accessible to all. This nationwide campaign is a key step to helping millions of people by driving awareness of this new way to unwind and find calm, naturally.”

I tried TRIP's CBD botanical drinks and you can get 20% off

With a growing focus on wellness and relaxation, I tried TRIP's CBD products to see if they could help me unwind

  • 08:28, 19 JUL 2022
  • Updated 11:59, 21 JUL 2022

TRIP

Taking the time out of your day to actually relax and unwind is something that a lot of us don't quite remember is important, or at least I know it can slip my mind from time to time. So when the opportunity arose to try TRIP , one of the UK’s leading wellness brands, I felt like it was time.

The brand uses CBD which has grown in popularity, with 40% of Brits (in a FSA survey ) choosing to use the natural remedy for stress. I've already tried some CBD products to see if they would help with cramps , so after a particularly stressful month I put TRIP to the test.

READ MORE: I tried Hey Bud's hemp oil and was reminded of Euphoria's Cassie

I'd briefly tried TRIP in the form of a mocktail at The Ivy when I visited Bath on a wellness retreat , but trying it as its own specific drink was quite different. I also discovered that the brand is more than just drinks , with them also having CBD oils .

One thing that really stands out to me with the drinks is that they're not overly sweet, they come in cans with some fruity botanical flavours but tend to pair it with herbs that makes it taste a little bit more like a mocktail and reminds me of gin.

TRIP

The three flavours are Peach & Ginger, Elderflower & Mint and Lemon & Basil . For me I found the flavours to be a little too heavy on the ginger and basil, with the Elderflower & Mint being my favourite by far.

I think that these would work perfectly as a mixer and for fans of ginger beer the Peach & Ginger should go down a treat. I didn't notice a huge shift to my mood but I did feel quite relaxed the evening that I tried these drinks, which I take to be a good sign.

For those who want a more noticeable fix, perhaps one of the two TRIP CBD oils would be a better option. Coming in two flavours, Wild Mint & Chamomile and Orange Blossom & Chamomile , it's difficult to miss.

When I opened the Wild Mint & Chamomile I was instantly hit with the minty smell and found that I already felt a bit more relaxed.

The Orange Blossom was slightly more mild in flavour, but still quite bold. I think if you're looking to unwind and relax, the oils are the better option.

TRIP CBD Oils

You place a few drops under your tongue for a minute before swallowing and I found that I really did feel more relaxed afterwards.

It's advised to consult a medical professional before consumption if you have pre-existing medical conditions or take prescription medication. TRIP recommends you do not exceed more than 70MG per day (one full dropper of oil contains approximately 66MG of CBD).

Shoppers can use code MYLONDON to take advantage of 20% off from TRIP when they shop with the brand. Shipping is free within the UK.

TRIP’s drinks and oils are THC-Free and Third Party Lab tested to ensure the highest quality and purity.

Love these drinks

Love these drinks! Love having the subscription turn up, and it's really easy to skip a month if needed like I did when I went away. I don't love the shipping they use Huboo which was unhelpful with a delivery query but the products themselves are fab.

Date of experience : April 08, 2024

I love this product, my favourite is the elderflower and mint, I’ve tried all the others and that’s the one I like best. A great alternative to alcohol and a different way to unwind

Date of experience : March 27, 2024

Outstanding customer service

Outstanding customer service! The products they sell of the best quality. Tastes really good! No nasty ingredients. 5* all the way! Highly recommend to try if out you still haven’t.

Date of experience : March 23, 2024

Date of experience : January 09, 2024

Charged for Items I didn't order

Retailer added products to my order 2 hours after my order was placed without permission, charging my card additional funds and then refused to accept a return of the items as they are 'perishable', even though items weren't part of my original order - leaving me with the cost DO NOT RECOMMEND

Date of experience : March 18, 2024

Date of experience : September 12, 2023

Date of experience : December 01, 2023

CBD newbie... A lifetime convert

Great introductory offer and what a great company and product. Delivery was fast, the product itself is superb quality. The subscription is easy to change and good value for money. Never tried cbd before but the calm it gives without tiredness or brain fog is tremendous. I don't think I'll ever stop taking it, but it's helped bin the alcohol.

Date of experience : September 11, 2023

So happy we can be helping you to find your calm Lucie!

First time trying Trip

Tried Trip for the first time after getting a promotional code for signing up for a monthly subscription. I got the pack of 6, with the 3 different flavours, the mint and elderflower takes some getting used to but the peach and ginger is lovely! I’m not sure I felt the full effect after 1 can so I’m keeping my subscription to up my intake and see what happens. Great price though for a great product and delivered earlier than expected too.

Date of experience : August 22, 2023

Date of experience : September 15, 2023

So glad you're enjoying and recommending to your clients Kam!

Great cbd oil. Great company

I've been using the orange blossom and chamomile 1000mg cbd oil at night to help with sleep. I find it is really good and helps relax me. The company are brilliant. I ordered another bottle in the afternoon, the following lunchtime it was delivered! I would definitely recommend. I was a bit sceptical at first, but glad I've given it a try.

Date of experience : September 13, 2023

Date of experience : August 23, 2023

Thank you so much the amazing feedback Jacqueline 💛

Love a can of Trip

Love a can of Trip, peach and ginger is my favourite, help me unwind and stop reaching for the wine!

New rasperry and orange blossom drink is simply vile

Have just tried the new flavour - raspberry and orange blossom. It tastes like diluted cider vinegar and is absolutely vile. AnnoyingIy, I ordered 12 cans of the stuff, having very much enjoyed the other flavours. I tried to offload them to a friend but she tried it and actually spat it out!

cbd drinks

CBD drinks are everywhere right now, but which ones are actually worth buying?

Crack one open and bliss out

In fact, the overload of CBD-infused products has hit so hard (it’s available in bath bombs and muscle rubs , dog treats, ice cream, sweets, and, yes, CBD drinks, too), that even marketers have struggled to find a fitting analogy. Chris Burggraeve, a former Coca-Cola and Ab InBev executive, called it the ‘ new avocado toast ’ in an interview with Business Insider – which we love, even if Avo toast seems *so* 2015.

Still confused as to what CBD drinks actually are? And which ones are worth parting with your ££ for? Here’s everything you need to know, and why they might just be the answer to living in such anxious times.

What are CBD drinks?

CBD drinks are infused with CBD (cannabidiol), the non-psychoactive element of hemp and cannabis plants. Cannabis in a drink? Sort of. These drinks won’t make you have a ‘high’ like using traditional cannabis would (CBD does not make you stoned), as they don’t contain any THC, the mind-altering compound found in the cannabis plant. Instead, there is some evidence that says CBD drinks can have stress-busting and relaxation effects – especially since users describe CBD has like having a ‘body high’, as opposed to a mind-altering one.

What are the health benefits of CBD drinks?

While there’s still more research to be done on the benefits of CBD drinks, there are some studies that show a positive impact on sleep. A 2019 study showed that CBD drinks might aid sleep quality by promoting relaxation and decreasing insomnia, while some studies have also shown a link between consuming CBD drinks and feeling less stressed and anxious. There’s also some evidence to suggest that CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, which may help with chronic pain, gut flare-ups and even skin conditions.

How many CBD drinks can I consume in a day?

Advice from the UK Food Standards Agency has recently been updated to suggest that the recommended CBD intake for adults should be reduced from 70mg per day to 10mg per day. Some drinks may have been infused with more or less than this amount of CBD, so it’s always worth checking the label to make sure you’re not doubling down on your dosage.

Where can I buy CBD drinks?

CBD drinks are more widely available than you’d think. They’re completely legal in the UK (as long as there’s no THC involved...) and you can even pick one up with your Tesco meal deal. We’ve spotted CBD drinks in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s Morrisons, Asda and pretty much all major UK supermarkets, as well as online retailers like Amazon. Health food and wellness shops are also a great place to find CBD drinks, from Holland & Barrett and Planet Organic more boutique offerings.

Here, then, are Team WH’s fave CBD drinks to enjoy....

Daytrip Sparkling Water Review: Our Trip with Daytrip [Overall Score: 7.3/10]

We at Remedy Journey are sort of CBD sparkling drink aficionados at this point: we’ve reviewed GT’s Dream Catcher , Lagunitas , Sprig , and now it’s the turn of another stalwart in the CBD-infused drink world, Daytrip.

Background: Who is Daytrip?

Daytrip has already become one of the best known and best distributed up-and-coming CBD drink brands in the country, despite only releasing their line of CBD-infused drinks in summer 2019.

Like many other prominent CBD drink brands (including Vybes and Mary Joe Coffee ), they’re Californian through and through: birthed in the sunshine state, with a surfer, summertime aesthetic that’s bright and bold.

Daytrip puts their focus on the quality of the CBD and it’s absorption, rather than the amount. They use a unique nano-emulsification method for maximum bioavailability, and their drinks are focused on health and wellness in other ways as well.

How? Keep reading to find out.

Daytrip Sparkling Water CBD Drink Review

Taste score: 7/10.

Does the drink taste bueno or no bueno?

As I said, we’ve tried a number of CBD sparkling waters, and while sparkling waters in general tend to not be my favorite drinks taste wise, I wasn’t a fan of the taste of these drinks in particular. I found them to be too acidic and not, well, tasty enough. These drinks come in the following flavors:

  • Coconut Pineapple

Sounds good right? But the flavors didn’t really come through, and there was a bit too much sparkle. It almost tasted closer to an unflavored sparkling water than a flavored one.

Value Score: 7.5/10

How much CBD bang are you getting for your buck?

A 12-pack of Daytrip Sparkling Waters costs $59, which rounds out to about $5 per can. At 10mg of CBD each, these comes in at a slightly below average value: drinks like Sprig and GT’s Dream Catcher offer the same amount of CBD or more (25mg, in the case of GT’s) for less money (Sprig is $2.50 a can, and GT’s $3.99 a bottle).

So for value, you can find better elsewhere.

Health score: 8/10

How committed is this brand to health and wellness? We look at all the ingredients.

This area is probably Daytrip’s biggest strength. First off, these drinks are only 5 calories with no sugar and no carbohydrates. They also use what they call “Foliole Nexus Technology,” which is their fancy word for nano-emulsification, an increasingly-popular method of creating CBD drinks that involves shrinking the size of the CBD particles to make them water soluble and thus more easy to absorb.

Daytrip then infuses each drink with a proprietary blend of terpenes, which is interesting and unique but begs the question: if they wanted the drink to include terpenes, why not use full-spectrum CBD (which naturally includes terpenes and other cannabinoids) rather than using CBD isolate and adding terpenes in after?

Besides the CBD extract and terpenes, the only other ingredient of note is a small amount of MCT oil.

Relief Score: 8/10

Many of us consume CBD to relieve ailments. Does this product provide effective relief?

Daytrip claims that their CBD blend is more easily absorbed and thus more potent. So, now to the big question: did it work, did the nano-emulsification make it more potent? I actually found that this drink DID provide a bit more of a potent CBD punch than comparable 10mg CBD drinks like Sprig.

Some drinks have so much CBD that it can almost weigh you down and damage your productivity, but Daytrip hit a nice sweet spot of relief and productivity.

X-Factor: 6.5/10

What makes this drink special? Does it promote productivity or focus? Does it get one “lit”?

In this section we typically touch on any other productivity, focus, or health-promoting ingredients, but like Sprig and Lagunitas Hi Fi Hops, there’s not much to speak of besides CBD in these drinks.

We also like to discuss the style and design of the drink in this section, and while these do have a bright and bold color scheme and design behind them, we still prefer the minimalist design of Recess or Vybes.

Final Verdict: 7.3/10

Let’s put it all together: what’s our overall take on this drink?

Going in, I wasn’t sure where exactly these drinks stood in the CBD-infused drink landscape, and after trying them out I’m still not sure. They don’t have the extreme price point of many other CBD-infused drinks (which regularly run up to $8-10), but they’re more expensive than the bottom-tier drinks (think Sprig) without offering much more in terms of CBD amount or other health-promoting ingredients.

If you have the choice, we’d recommend GT’s sparkling water for better quality or Sprig for better value.

The Queen’s farm shop is selling out of Trip’s CBD-infused drinks – here’s our review

The hemp-based beverage is ‘flying off the shelves’, but does it really work, article bookmarked.

Find your bookmarks in your Independent Premium section, under my profile

Cannabidiol is said to help regulate anxiety, aid sleep and boost concentration

A CBD -infused energy drink has been “flying off the shelves” at the Queen’s farm shop due to people buying them in bulk.

The drink, made by Trip, is made using the compound cannabidiol (CBD), which is predominantly found in the buds and flowers of the hemp plant and is legal in the UK.

To be clear, CBD cannot get you high. Those effects are down to a different component of the cannabis plant called Tetrahydrocannabinol, aka THC.

Instead, it is claimed that CBD can help balance the body and mind, regulating everything from anxiety and mood. It can also boost concentration, reduce inflammation, and aid sleep through relaxation.

The drink’s popularity at Her Majesty’s Windsor Farm Shop was originally reported by The Sun , where a source said: “The drinks are quite quirky but very unusual for a farm shop – especially one run by The Queen.

"They are selling out quick. People pick up about seven or eight each time. The shop started stocking them a few months ago and they’ve been really popular."

Today, Olivia Ferdi, co-founder of the CBD drinks brand, told The Independent that Trip’s drinks have indeed proved a sought-after choice at the store, confirming that the beverages are currently sold out.

“We're thrilled to see the continued popularity of Trip helping people find calm in these tricky times,” she said.

“Right now, people want to take the edge off,” Ferdi previously told The Independent in our round-up of the best CBD infused drinks . “What CBD does is help balance any excess stress or tension you might be feeling. It is a molecule that interacts with the endocannabinoid system in the body which regulates and balances many processes.”

So, if you’re feeling stressed or having trouble sleeping, could Trip’s drinks be the answer? Here we put the sparkling beverage to the test.

Trip elderflower, mint and CBD sparkling drink: £3.45, Harvey Nichols - buy now

Landing a spot in our review of the best CBD drinks , our reviewer said: "Launched in 2019, Trip was created when the co-founder Olivia Ferdi’s husband Dan underwent knee surgery just before their wedding. Upon finding CBD, the oil helped him make it to the dance floor and the couple set about making a CBD product that fits into people’s everyday lives, minus that intensely bitter taste. Intended to balance functionality with flavour, the range uses no added sugar, is vegan-friendly, gluten-free, low calorie, and is enhanced with adaptogens to support immunity, focus and stress-relief.”

Explaining the brand’s range, they said: “There’s three CBD-infused drinks – including a lightly sparkling peach ginger and a cold brew coffee, for ‘jitter-free energy’ – as well as two flavoured CBD oils.”

So what was their verdict? "We most enjoyed the sparkling elderflower mint drink, with its cooling, refreshing taste. Alongside 15mg of CBD derived from UK-grown organic hemp per can, it also contains l-theanine said to aid relaxation, lemon balm and ginseng for focus, and rooibos for digestion.”

CBD is having a moment that shows no signs of ending anytime soon.

Since it first became legalised in the UK in November 2018, the number of products containing CBD has continued to grow and grow (if you’ll excuse the pun). First medicinal items, then supplements , gummies, oils , skincare , balms and finally drinks. It’s now possible to ingest CBD in pretty much any way you like.

Don’t fret about taking a sip and heading for the clouds: CBD won’t get you high. Instead, it’s loved around the world for its ability to ease pain, encourage relaxation and calm you down. Also touted for its ability to ease some epilepsy symptoms, CBD is constantly under review to see exactly what else it’s capable of doing.

Most of these drinks contain around 20-30mg of CBD, which is enough to give you a gentle feeling of serenity but won’t send you to sleep. Accentuated with varying herbs, roots, fruits and other ingredients, some of these drinks are also specifically targeted for different times of the day, helping you to focus first thing in the morning or switch off a little easier after work.

You’ll find the most popular brands sold all over from high street supermarkets to popular online retailers.

We’ve rounded up all of our favourite CBD drinks below.

Goodrays CBD Drinks Mixed Pack

cbd trip drink review

Goodrays takes things one step further when it comes to CBD. As well as offering a few different flavours of delicious, CBD-infused drinks, the brand also produces gummies and oils .

Available in four flavours - Yuzu & Elderflower, Raspberry & Guava, Passionfruit & Pomelo and Blood Orange & Grapefruit - each drink comes with 30mg CBD (one of the higher doses found in these drinks) as well as vitamin D .

While these drinks taste a little stronger than other brands, they also offer a more impressive result, too. Fun packaging and a vegan, sustainable core make Goodrays one of our favourite CBD brands.

OTO CBD Botanical Seltzer Discovery

cbd trip drink review

OTO's stylish, minimalist packaging is the first thing you'll notice about this CBD seltzer brand. If you've heard of OTO somewhere before, it's because it doesn't just produce drinks but also drops, skincare products and spa experience, sold as far and as wide as John Lewis, Selfridges and lookfantastic. The drinks are just as impressive as the rest of its product line-up, infusing CBD with three sparkling flavours that add a gentle buzz to your day. Green Tea & Garden Mint is our favourite.

TRIP Lemon Basil CBD Drink

cbd trip drink review

TRIP is one of the best CBD brands to fall in love with as it's stocked in possibly the most places out of any brand in the sphere. This is very convenient, as it's also one of the most delicious options around. While most of TRIP's drinks tend to focus on light, fruity flavours, you'll also find the TRIP Cold Brew : coffee infused with CBD providing all of the energy but none of the jitters. With 15mg of CBD per can, it's a great option to sample first if you're new to CBD drinks or if you're sensitive to trying new ingredients.

Buy a 12-pack for £24.

Unrooted CBD 20mg Drink Cool & Calm

cbd trip drink review

Unrooted takes things back to basics with a delicious CBD shot that gets the job done quickly. With 20mg of CBD per shot, it's not the strongest option out there but provides a great boost of calm energy to help you through the day.

Adults are recommended to have no more than 70mg of CBD per day, so you could feasibly stock up on a few of these without going over the suggested limit if need be. Flavoured with cucumber, mint and baobab fruit powder, this CBD drink is also a great source of fibre and, if that wasn't enough, each bottle sold helps to support rural Zimbabwean communities.

Medahuman Cranberry & Lime CBD Energy Drink

cbd trip drink review

Medahuman steps things up a notch with a line of CBD drinks that each work a little differently. While the core element remains the same, the brand cleverly incorporates differing ingredients to encourage different effects. The result? A line of drinks that works for every occasion.

Looking for a gentle burst of energy? Choose the brand's Cranberry and Lime made with Vitamin B & C, natural caffeine and ginseng. Searching for the opposite? The Ginger, Blood Orange and Turmeric CBD Recover drink is ideal post-workout or later in the afternoon when you're thinking about winding down for the day.

Buy a 12-pack for £27.

Drink 420 CBD Infused Wild Berries

cbd trip drink review

Drink 420 makes the kind of drinks you'd pick up and enjoy regardless of their CBD content. Good enough to drink on a daily basis without even considering the health benefits, the biggest problem you'll have with these CBD drinks is limiting yourself so as to not exceed the recommended dosage each day.

With stronger fruit flavours and a more subtle CBD flavour than many other competing brands, these fizzy, low-calorie drinks promise to quickly become a contender for your new favourite soft drink.

EXALT Chilled AF Cold-Pressed Fruit Juice with CBD

cbd trip drink review

There's no doubt about it: EXALT's Chilled AF CBD drinks are definitely up there with the most wonderful tasting around. That's especially true if you're someone who would rather ingest their CBD without tasting it, as this drink's strong, fruit flavours could easily fool you into thinking it's just another fruit juice.

Combining orange, mango and pineapple with cold-pressed ginger, lime and basil, it's one of the freshest and tastiest CBD options around. While it only features 15mg CBD, it's made using water-soluble CBD, which is 10 times more bioavailable than normal CBD oil.

INTUNE Elderflower Sparkling CBD Drink

cbd trip drink review

INTUNE's award-winning drinks are sourced from premium CBD and offer a grounding, focusing effect when that post-lunch slump hits.

The drink marries 10mg of CBD with a sparkling elderflower accent, but there are many more flavours to choose from. An alcohol-free alternative to a classic spritz, the tipple is suitable for vegans and makes for a sophisticated cocktail mixer.

Price for four cans.

Little Rick Mix Pack

cbd trip drink review

Little Rick's CBD drinks are what we'd best describe as "alcohol-free grown-up drinks". The sort of thing you'd pick up in place of a beer on a weekday evening to enjoy while watching Netflix, these cans are just as chilled out as the label suggests.

That's something you'll appreciate more than usual here too, as each of Little Rick's cans contains 32mg of CBD - higher than pretty much any other brand on the market. If you're looking for a hefty boost of CBD in one can, this is the brand to opt for. Each flavour - Mint & Lime, Raspberry Lemonade and Piña - offers a soft yet noticeable feeling of relaxation.

With so many incredible flavours out there, it’s no easy feat to choose one favourite. But, if we had to pick, we’d opt for Goodrays CBD Drinks Mixed Pack : with just the right amount of buzz and a unique flavour to match, this one will remain a staple in our fridge from now on.

  1. Trip Drinks Review: Is This Botanical Beverage Worth It?

Trip Peach Ginger. The Peach Ginger is the one that includes turmeric, and as you can see from the photo near the top of this review, it gives the drink a very bright orange colour. Flavour-wise it's a strong ginger, but not an overly spicy ginger. It's very refreshing, although the ginger overpowers the peach a little.
