If you already have a Florida Freewheelers membership, please be sure to Login before making your store purchase so you can receive your member’s price discount. You do not have to purchase the membership option on this product if you are already a member. If you are not a member and wish to join Florida Freewheelers, you can add the membership option to this purchase to receive discounts on future events and other club benefits.

RV/Trailer hookups are limited. While most hookups consist of water, sewer, and electric, it is not guaranteed for everyone. The first 19 to register will receive all 3, it’s on a first come first serve basis. Also, please have in your possession a 30 amp adapter.

Club Picnics

The Florida Freewheelers host five club picnics annually. These picnics, which are free to members, have a pace and distance for everyone, from A - S. After the ride, members mingle and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Horrible Hundred

Horrible Hundred is a two-day event in November. Held for the last 42 years, it’s our club’s biggest fundraiser. Almost 2,000 riders tackle Central Florida’s hills on fully-supported rides of 35, 70 or 100 miles, while enjoying the attention to detail and legendary SAG stops provided by friendly Freewheeler volunteers. The “Horrible” is consistently voted as a favorite event by cyclists from Miami to Jacksonville and beyond. The 2024 event will be held on November 17-18th.

Florida Bicycle Safari

Our popular Florida Bicycle Safari is held in April in rural North Florida and sometimes in South Georgia. It features either 3 or 6 days of cycling through country roads with varied ride lengths, bountiful catered meals, and plentiful SAG stops. It has gorgeous scenery on its routes, friendly people, and terrific experiences for all! The 2025 event is planned for April 12 through April 17.

I just signed Jim and me up for it and we're hoping to see many others in our Cruzbike family there. Last year was a blast and a great time to get some easy miles in preparation for the summer riding season. We camped (the first time for me in a long time) and we plan to camp again, though I completely understand if one prefers the hotel option. As Robert said, the food was great, and the conversation and camaraderie made for delightful evenings. We hope to see you there.

Signed up for the 3-day. April is an extremely busy month in my line of work but Saturday and Sunday for sure, might be able to squeeze in Monday as well. Not camping, staying at a local farm that has lodging. @Robert Holler will there some type of GroupMe or WhatsApp set up so those in attendance will be able to communicate on which routes Cruzbikers will be riding, leave times, etc? First type of event like this for me so I’m looking to the experience and seeing everyone.

***FLORIDA TOUR DE FORCE 2024***

The 28th Annual Florida Tour de Force charity bicycle ride is set to kick off on Monday April 8th, 2024 in North Miami Beach, FL and end in Daytona Beach Shores, FL on Friday April 12th, 2024. The Tour is a 5-day, 270+ mile ride that averages approximately 50-55 miles each day at a moderate pace of (15-17 mph) and will pass through 8 counties including over 40 law enforcement jurisdictions.

The tour is a fully supported ride with police escorts provided by the Florida Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Departments and local Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the state. This is an awareness ride, not a race! Breaks are scheduled approximately every 12-15 miles and the ride is designed to accommodate both novice riders and seasoned cyclists. Every year hundreds of law enforcement personnel and civilians from across the state, country, and even from around the world participate with over 100 riders completing the entire 270+ mile trek each year.

This event is organized and manned by devoted volunteers of the Law Enforcement community and all monies raised are donated to the families of Florida’s Fallen Heroes.

The 1st Annual Florida Tour de Force Southern Leg Bicycle Ride November 10th, 2018

• From the event day, you have the weekend to ride as many miles as you can (indoor, outdoors/solo, etc.) to get close to the 277-mile mark. Use the entire month if you like, but the weekend is set for us to mark our calendars.
• Once completed, go to our events page on FB and submit a link of your ride. Use Strava, Ride with GPS, Map My Ride or any numerous route recording platforms to validate the distance.
• Pledge to donate $0.50 or $1.00 (or more) per mile ridden for Florida Tour de Force
• This is NOT race so ride at your own pace.
• Ride indoors, outdoors, on-road, off-road, etc. but above all be safe!
• FLTDF has great sponsors so be sure to keep them in your hearts. They do a lot to support us each year.

• Pollo Con Queso  - Chicken breast with cheese sauce, rice and beans, lettuce and tomatoes with sour cream.

• Riders who are comfortable riding at least 10 miles per hour should have an enjoyable trip. The routes are primarily on bike paths with a little riding on bicycle designated or low traffic roads. Please see the daily routes descriptions for additional information. Of course, if a rider is tired or does not feel like riding, the SAG vehicle will transport the rider to the hotel. All riders may ride at their own pace, slow or fast or anything in-between.
• Drive to the  Hampton Inn Spring Hill , 1344 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606. Your car can be parked at the hotel for the duration of the trip for free.
• Fly into Tampa International Airport (TPA), 45 miles (about 1hr) from the starting hotel; or fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO), 75 miles (about 1hr 30minutes) from starting hotel; or fly into the small Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV), 104 miles (about 1hr 45minutes) from the starting hotel.
• $200 to reserve your spot and the remainder due 45 days before the trip start.

It was really fun and the beach was beautiful!! The tour guides helped us to understand the electric bike before the tour and helped us as we went along. As a side note, we paid for parking at the little shopping area in front of where the bikes are set up (They bring their bikes behind the little strip of shops on Old Stickney Point Rd).
