Where to find the Star 27 mural in Forza Horizon 5

How to complete the Mural Compass challenge.

Forza Horizon 5 Star 27 Mural location

Looking for the Star 27 mural location in Forza Horizon 5? It's one of the many challenges you'll face while playing through the latest instalment. And as it's one of the easier tasks to accomplish—providing you know where to look—there's no reason not to tick it off your list.

Of course, there are plenty of Forza Horizon 5 cars to get excited about. And even if you've explored every corner of the map, there's still plenty to keep you busy in and around the Horizon Festival. If you've got the Mural Compass challenge on your list of things to do, I've got you covered. Here's the Forza Horizon 5 Star 27 mural location, as well as what you need to do to complete the challenge.

Forza Horizon 5 Star 27 mural location

The Mural Compass is one of the photo challenges in Forza Horizon 5. You're tasked with locating the Star 27 mural and snapping a photo of it. You'll need a Modern Sports Car to complete the challenge, though, as the photo must have the car included in it.

While that may seem simple enough, the difficulty of this challenge is finding the mural itself. From the Casa Bella house, located in Mulege—this is the first house you get in the game—turn left, then left again to pass under the Heroica Mulege archway. Pass through this, then look out for the next left turn.

Keep following this road, and you'll soon see the brightly coloured mural on the side of a building to your right. Park in front of it so the car is in the shot—as in the image above—then snap the photo.

That's all you need to do to complete the Mural Compass photo challenge, and you'll be rewarded with the Forza Link Phrase 'Beautiful'. Good job.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: What Is The Horizon Tour?

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour in action, as two cars splash through water.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is one of the many activities that you can race through as part of the seasonal event. Forza Horizon 5 is currently in its winter season, offering up the ID Zerouno '18 and Subaru 22B vehicles, which you can only unlock by earning points. The Horizon Tour is one of those many ways to earn points.

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour itself is a three-race co-op event where players will face off in two teams of six, split between the red and blue team. The goal is to have the majority of your team place in the top six to earn points, and as such, you don't want to be running your team off the road just for you to get first place. The race takes place on dirt tracks and will use C-Class vehicles. Once any given race is over you will then drive collectively to the next race, and so on.

Once in there, you will be treated to the current reward cars, along with weekly and daily challenges. Scroll through to the right until you come across the various activities. On the bottom right, you should see the Horizon Tour Co-Op Championship. By clicking on it, you will be put into a waiting lobby, before eventually joining the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Since this is a part of the winter season, you will only have until December 4 to take part in it.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: Rewards

The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour podium.

Of course, the ultimate reward for the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is to gain enough points to earn the latest legendary cars. For that, the Horizon Tour will grant you three Forza Points. For context, you will need 22 and 42 points to earn either of the reward cars. Additionally, from taking part in the event you will earn your usual rung of XP and skill points, which obviously increase depending on your position in the race. If this is your first Horizon Tour race, you will also earn the Tourist Attraction achievement.

Forza Horizon 5: How to Find Star 27's Mural in Mulege

Find out exactly where to find the Star 27 Mural in Forza Horizon 5 in order to complete the Photo Mural Forzathon weekly challenge.

Forza Horizon 5 has brought a lot of features over from Playground Games' previous entry in its arcade-style racing franchise, including weekly Forzathon Challenges in the Festival Playlist. There are many types of tasks that can earn players points toward new cars, Wheelspins, and other rewards.

For its first official week of Forza Horizon 5 challenges, players have a Photo Challenge called Mural Compass that asks them to take a picture of a Modern Sports Car beside the Star 27 Mural in Mulege. This will net them an easy 2 points toward unlocking this week's cars, and they can also be spent in the Forzathon Shop.

How to Find Star 27's Mural in Mulage in Forza Horizon 5

Mulege is the location the Casa Bella house is located in, southeast of the Baja California landmark . Players will naturally unlock Casa Bella after their first few races. There is also a Barn Find location in Forza Horizon 5 nearby. Before going to the Star 27 Mural, players should make sure they are in a Modern Sports Car first.

To change to a Modern Sports Car, go to the "Change Car" option from the "Cars" section in the pause menu, or select "My Cars" while in a house. The list can be filtered by pressing the Y button on Xbox, and navigating down to "Modern Sports Cars". Select it, press B, and then choose any car from the list.

Star 27's Mural in Forza Horizon 5 is located in the middle intersection of Mulage , south of Casa Bella, and just north of the middlemost XP board. It is a bright picture of the desert and an abstract face painted on the side of a house, beside some tall cacti. Finding Murals may not be linked to Achievements in Forza Horizon 5 , but knowing how to easily spot one will come in handy for future weekly challenges and tasks in the main campaign.

Approach it while in a Modern Sports Car, and press up on the d-pad to enter Photo Mode, which can reveal incredible detail like in The Last of Us 2 . Players only need to get the mural and their car in the shot to complete this challenge, however. Snap a picture with A, and the task is completed.

In addition to the 2 Forzathon Points, players will also unlock the "Beautiful!" Forza Link phrase, which can be mapped to the d-pad, and used to communicate with others. With its launch on Game Pass, and with over 1 million players before Forza Horizon 5 's official release , there should be plenty of opportunities to show off this phrase to fellow players.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Forza Horizon 5 Farid Rueda Bear Mural Lion Mural Guide

Where to find Farid Rueda’s Bear and Lion Murals in Forza Horizon 5

Image of Jason Rodriguez

Farid Rueda, a Mexican street artist, has several murals can be seen in various locations in Forza Horizon 5 . Adding vibrancy and rich cultural references, these serve as highlights whenever you explore the game world. Some of them might even become objectives during challenges. Here’s our guide to help you find Farid Rueda’s Bear and Lion Murals in Forza Horizon 5.

Note: For more information, check out our Forza Horizon 5 guides and features hub .

To find Farid Rueda’s Bear and Lion Murals in Forza Horizon 5 , you’ll want to head to Playa Azul in the eastern portion of the world map since the quaint seaside town has both of these graffiti artworks. The closest landmarks are the Horizon Apex Outpost and the Lugar Tranquilo player home.

Forza Horizon 5 Farid Rueda Bear Mural Lion Mural Guide 1a

Screenshot by PC Invasion

For the Bear Mural, simply follow the main road going south from Lugar Tranquilo. You should see a yellow, two-storey building (as shown in the image below). Turn right and look at the side of the building and you’ll spot the mural.

Depending on the challenge, you might need to drive a specific car. If there’s no such requirement, such as the Bare Necessities objective, then just activate Photo Mode and take a promo quickshot to complete this tally.

Forza Horizon 5 Farid Rueda Bear Mural Lion Mural Guide 1b

As for Farid Rueda’s Lion Mural in Forza Horizon 5 , you’ll want to continue along the main road heading south, just past the Playa Azul Circuit banner. Eventually, you’ll notice a turquoise/cyan building to your right. This has the street art itself, and you can take a picture of that if it’s part of a challenge.

Assuming you’re doing the current Summer – Wet Season objectives, then the Bare Necessities (i.e., bear mural) task, along with Ready to Hoon and Retro Skills to Pay the Bills , should help you earn points to obtain the #2 Audi S1 and BMW X6 M rewards.

How to find Senkoe’s Mural in Forza Horizon 5

Image of Chris Studley

Throughout the Baja California area portrayed in Forza Horizon 5, players will find many murals created by various art creators that call Mexico home. One of those murals is the eponymous Senkoe’s Mural. This mural will need to be located in Forza Horizon 5 to complete an  Accolade  challenge in the campaign. How can you find Senkoe’s Mural? Let’s take a look.

To find Senkoe’s Mural, look no further than Playa Azul. Playa Azul is a town on the southeastern part of the Forza Horizon 5 map, and it’s the town that holds The Goliath .

Once you’ve reached the town of Playa Azul, you will want to look for a house. This house is actually purchasable, and it’s called the Lugar Tranquilo.

forza 5 horizon tour mural

You don’t have to purchase this house to find the mural, but we should note that it is actually on the complex. If you go around the small orange building, you should find a multi-story house right behind it. Go up to it, and find the mural that features a woman.

Here’s a better look down below:

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Much like with the  Lion and Bear Murals , which you can also find at the Playa Azul, this mural needs to be found to complete an Accolade related to the Horizon Apex Outpost section of the Festivals challenges. Follow these directions, and you’ll find it in no time.

Forza Horizon 5 Guide: Where to Find Star 27’s Mural in Mulegé

Forza Horizons 5 - Star 27's Mural

There’s a photo challenge in Forza Horizon 5 that asks you to “Photograph any Modern Sports Car at Star 27’s Mural in Mulegé.” It’s not difficult if you know where to look, but the game world is enormous and finding a single mural in this massive open world is like finding a needle in a haystack. Thankfully, I’ve got your back.

The town of Mulegé is in the southwest portion of the map, just to the east of Costa Rocosa. Here it is on the map:

Forza Horizons 5 - Mulege

Now, if you zoom in a bit closer, you can see the exact intersection you’re looking for:

Forza Horizons 5 - Mulege

The mural depicts a cactus and a human face with a rising or setting sun in the background. It’s pictured at the top of this article. Now, all you need is a Modern Sports Car. I used the Alpine A110, but you have plenty of options to choose from.

I don’t think a full list of Modern Sports Car for Forza Horizon 5 exists yet, but here’s one from the previous game . A handful of these cars has come back in Horizon 5 , and this list should at least give you a good feel for what exactly you’re looking for until a full FH5 list gets made.

And that’s how you complete the #MuralCompass challenge in Forza Horizon 5 . If you want to do some more mural hunting, I’ve also created a guide for finding CIX’s mural in the jungle .

The Best Possible Settings for Forza Horizon 6

T he Forza Horizon games are iconic for their gorgeous environments almost as much as their cars, and there are some prime locations where the next game could be set. The series has already set its previous titles in various places around the world. However, a lot of the best possible locations have yet to be the home of a Forza Horizon game. Since the game could take place almost anywhere in the world, there is no shortage of options. When it comes to Forza Horizon 6 , there are a lot of perfect locations to choose from.

When it comes to an open-world game like Forza Horizon , the game world is one of the most vital aspects of the experience as a whole. This has been especially important when it comes to the Forza Horizon series , as the high speeds at which players will be driving across the world require a world that is both interesting and beautiful to explore. Horizon 4 's England and Scotland and especially Horizon 5 's Mexico immediately come to mind in this regard, with both providing vast, memorable backdrops for the game's racing action. For that reason, discussions regarding Forza Horizon 6 should cover where it will take place.

Forza Horizon's World Tour Still Has Many Potential Destinations

One possible location that has already been the subject of some Forza Horizon 6 rumors is Japan. It's a bit surprising that Japan hasn't appeared before in the series, considering what sorts of tracks it could bring to the table. Among the memorable designs could be mountain tracks inspired by Mt. Fuji, or brightly-lit, bustling city tracks designed to remind players of downtown Tokyo. Another sight worth recreating would be the scene of cherry blossom trees in full bloom as the player drives through a forest. For how many iconic sights it could create, Japan could be perfect for Forza Horizon 6 .

New Zealand is another valid option, as although Australia was already explored in the unfortunately delisted Forza Horizon 3 , the unique charm of its island neighbor would be a perfect next stop. Thanks to its remarkable environmental diversity, New Zealand in Forza Horizon could let players take a drive from snowy mountain peaks to the sunny beaches on the coast. New Zealand's unique culture and art scene can also provide a memorable theme for the Horizon Festival, especially if some unique event types could come out of the deal. Even though New Zealand wouldn't be the biggest country Forza Horizon has been to, it would be memorable all the same.

Another area that should be in contention is Canada. After all, after Forza Horizon 5 went to Mexico , it would be somewhat amusing for the next game to hop straight over the United States to enter Canada. Aside from the novelty, Canada would have a lot to offer for the next Horizon Festival. Its pristine lakes and forests would be a sight to see, and come the winter season, it could create some of the best snow and ice courses in the series. With a rich sports culture and lots of character, Canada deserves to be on the shortlist for Forza Horizon 6 's potential destinations.

Forza Horizon 6 is probably far in the distance, but the series has a lot to live up to. Regarding the massive success of Forza Horizon 's driving experience , few other games have been able to measure up. The rolling open world is one of Forza Horizon 's calling cards, and one of the most important pieces of the puzzle when it comes to planning out Forza Horizon 6 . After Great Britain and Mexico, expectations are high for what will come next. Hopefully Forza Horizon 6 's next country will deliver on the series' promise.

Forza Horizon 5 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Moscow Metro Museum of Art: 10 Must-See Stations

There are few times one can claim having been on the subway all afternoon and loving it, but the Moscow Metro provides just that opportunity.  While many cities boast famous public transport systems—New York’s subway, London’s underground, San Salvador’s chicken buses—few warrant hours of exploration.  Moscow is different: Take one ride on the Metro, and you’ll find out that this network of railways can be so much more than point A to B drudgery.

The Metro began operating in 1935 with just thirteen stations, covering less than seven miles, but it has since grown into the world’s third busiest transit system ( Tokyo is first ), spanning about 200 miles and offering over 180 stops along the way.  The construction of the Metro began under Joseph Stalin’s command, and being one of the USSR’s most ambitious building projects, the iron-fisted leader instructed designers to create a place full of svet (radiance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future), a palace for the people and a tribute to the Mother nation.

Consequently, the Metro is among the most memorable attractions in Moscow.  The stations provide a unique collection of public art, comparable to anything the city’s galleries have to offer and providing a sense of the Soviet era, which is absent from the State National History Museum.  Even better, touring the Metro delivers palpable, experiential moments, which many of us don’t get standing in front of painting or a case of coins.

Though tours are available , discovering the Moscow Metro on your own provides a much more comprehensive, truer experience, something much less sterile than following a guide.  What better place is there to see the “real” Moscow than on mass transit: A few hours will expose you to characters and caricatures you’ll be hard-pressed to find dining near the Bolshoi Theater.  You become part of the attraction, hear it in the screech of the train, feel it as hurried commuters brush by: The Metro sucks you beneath the city and churns you into the mix.

With the recommendations of our born-and-bred Muscovite students, my wife Emma and I have just taken a self-guided tour of what some locals consider the top ten stations of the Moscow Metro. What most satisfied me about our Metro tour was the sense of adventure .  I loved following our route on the maps of the wagon walls as we circled the city, plotting out the course to the subsequent stops; having the weird sensation of being underground for nearly four hours; and discovering the next cavern of treasures, playing Indiana Jones for the afternoon, piecing together fragments of Russia’s mysterious history.  It’s the ultimate interactive museum.

Top Ten Stations (In order of appearance)

Kievskaya station.

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Kievskaya Station went public in March of 1937, the rails between it and Park Kultury Station being the first to cross the Moscow River.  Kievskaya is full of mosaics depicting aristocratic scenes of Russian life, with great cameo appearances by Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin.  Each work has a Cyrillic title/explanation etched in the marble beneath it; however, if your Russian is rusty, you can just appreciate seeing familiar revolutionary dates like 1905 ( the Russian Revolution ) and 1917 ( the October Revolution ).

Mayakovskaya Station

Mayakovskaya Station ranks in my top three most notable Metro stations. Mayakovskaya just feels right, done Art Deco but no sense of gaudiness or pretention.  The arches are adorned with rounded chrome piping and create feeling of being in a jukebox, but the roof’s expansive mosaics of the sky are the real showstopper.  Subjects cleverly range from looking up at a high jumper, workers atop a building, spires of Orthodox cathedrals, to nimble aircraft humming by, a fleet of prop planes spelling out CCCP in the bluest of skies.

Novoslobodskaya Station

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Novoslobodskaya is the Metro’s unique stained glass station.  Each column has its own distinctive panels of colorful glass, most of them with a floral theme, some of them capturing the odd sailor, musician, artist, gardener, or stenographer in action.  The glass is framed in Art Deco metalwork, and there is the lovely aspect of discovering panels in the less frequented haunches of the hall (on the trackside, between the incoming staircases).  Novosblod is, I’ve been told, the favorite amongst out-of-town visitors.

Komsomolskaya Station

Komsomolskaya Station is one of palatial grandeur.  It seems both magnificent and obligatory, like the presidential palace of a colonial city.  The yellow ceiling has leafy, white concrete garland and a series of golden military mosaics accenting the tile mosaics of glorified Russian life.  Switching lines here, the hallway has an Alice-in-Wonderland feel, impossibly long with decorative tile walls, culminating in a very old station left in a remarkable state of disrepair, offering a really tangible glimpse behind the palace walls.

Dostoevskaya Station

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Dostoevskaya is a tribute to the late, great hero of Russian literature .  The station at first glance seems bare and unimpressive, a stark marble platform without a whiff of reassembled chips of tile.  However, two columns have eerie stone inlay collages of scenes from Dostoevsky’s work, including The Idiot , The Brothers Karamazov , and Crime and Punishment.   Then, standing at the center of the platform, the marble creates a kaleidoscope of reflections.  At the entrance, there is a large, inlay portrait of the author.

Chkalovskaya Station

Chkalovskaya does space Art Deco style (yet again).  Chrome borders all.  Passageways with curvy overhangs create the illusion of walking through the belly of a chic, new-age spacecraft.  There are two (kos)mosaics, one at each end, with planetary subjects.  Transferring here brings you above ground, where some rather elaborate metalwork is on display.  By name similarity only, I’d expected Komsolskaya Station to deliver some kosmonaut décor; instead, it was Chkalovskaya that took us up to the space station.

Elektrozavodskaya Station

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Elektrozavodskaya is full of marble reliefs of workers, men and women, laboring through the different stages of industry.  The superhuman figures are round with muscles, Hollywood fit, and seemingly undeterred by each Herculean task they respectively perform.  The station is chocked with brass, from hammer and sickle light fixtures to beautiful, angular framework up the innards of the columns.  The station’s art pieces are less clever or extravagant than others, but identifying the different stages of industry is entertaining.

Baumanskaya Statio

Baumanskaya Station is the only stop that wasn’t suggested by the students.  Pulling in, the network of statues was just too enticing: Out of half-circle depressions in the platform’s columns, the USSR’s proud and powerful labor force again flaunts its success.  Pilots, blacksmiths, politicians, and artists have all congregated, posing amongst more Art Deco framing.  At the far end, a massive Soviet flag dons the face of Lenin and banners for ’05, ’17, and ‘45.  Standing in front of the flag, you can play with the echoing roof.

Ploshchad Revolutsii Station

forza 5 horizon tour mural

Novokuznetskaya Station

Novokuznetskaya Station finishes off this tour, more or less, where it started: beautiful mosaics.  This station recalls the skyward-facing pieces from Mayakovskaya (Station #2), only with a little larger pictures in a more cramped, very trafficked area.  Due to a line of street lamps in the center of the platform, it has the atmosphere of a bustling market.  The more inventive sky scenes include a man on a ladder, women picking fruit, and a tank-dozer being craned in.  The station’s also has a handsome black-and-white stone mural.

Here is a map and a brief description of our route:

Start at (1)Kievskaya on the “ring line” (look for the squares at the bottom of the platform signs to help you navigate—the ring line is #5, brown line) and go north to Belorusskaya, make a quick switch to the Dark Green/#2 line, and go south one stop to (2)Mayakovskaya.  Backtrack to the ring line—Brown/#5—and continue north, getting off at (3)Novosblodskaya and (4)Komsolskaya.  At Komsolskaya Station, transfer to the Red/#1 line, go south for two stops to Chistye Prudy, and get on the Light Green/#10 line going north.  Take a look at (5)Dostoevskaya Station on the northern segment of Light Green/#10 line then change directions and head south to (6)Chkalovskaya, which offers a transfer to the Dark Blue/#3 line, going west, away from the city center.  Have a look (7)Elektroskaya Station before backtracking into the center of Moscow, stopping off at (8)Baumskaya, getting off the Dark Blue/#3 line at (9)Ploschad Revolyutsii.  Change to the Dark Green/#2 line and go south one stop to see (10)Novokuznetskaya Station.

Go beneath the streets on this tour of the spectacular, mind-bending Moscow Metro! Be awed by architecture and spot the Propaganda , then hear soviet stories from a local in the know. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.

Know More about this tour

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

Traveler Reviews

This tour exceeded our expectations. Nikolai (Nick), our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great personality. He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.

We did the tour with Anna her knowledge and understanding of the History surrounding the metro brought the tour alive. Well done Anna!
