Murudeshwar

Murudeshwar is a small coastal town that is popular for its massive statue of Lord Shiva located right next to the Arabian Sea. The huge statue is 123 feet tall, and is the second largest in India. The statue is also located on the top of a hill cliff next to the sea, and hence can be seen from a very far distance. Adding to the beauty is a tall 20 floor Raja Gopuram of the temple. You can go to the top of the Gopuram, and get an aerial view of the statue with the sea in the background.

Karnataka has one of the finest coastal belt. Maravanthe is one of those natural beauties where you can witness a national highway passing through a picturesque beauty. You can see River Souparnika flowing on one side, and the beautiful beach on the other side! This amazing stretch lasts for 500 meters before the river moves away from sea. It is interesting to know that a river that was just a few meters away from the sea, and separated by road joins the Arabian Sea after 12 kilometers!

Udupi is another beautiful coastal town in Karnataka that is abundant in natural beauty. It has several magnificent unexplored beaches, some astonishing backwaters, and amazing river confluences. Jog Falls is the second largest plunge waterfalls in India. The amazing 830 feet falls is formed on River Sharavathi, and is in its best form during monsoons. The falls actually have four trajectories, each forming and adding its own beauty to the falls. The astonishing view from the viewpoint right opposite to all the trajectories is a sight to be remembered. You can even get down to the bottom of the falls through well laid stairs to get a glimpse from the bottom of the falls.

They are paid by KSTDC except for BHS trip. 13.Pets and Animals not allowed inside the bus while on Journey. 14.The management has all the right to make the passengers to get down from the bus, who are travelling on invalid tickets, disturbing the co-passengers & drunken passengers, without any refund. 15.No postponement of journey will be made within 24 hours. There is no refund on cancellation of one time Preponed/Postponed ticket. 16.Tariff is subject to change without notice. 17.Accommodation is subject to availability of the rooms and they are subject to change without prior notice. 18.Senior Citizens are provided with 20% discount on transportation by default while booking ticket. Jog Falls: Jog Falls, a major attraction in Karnataka, is located in the Shimoga district of Karnataka. Also known by alternative names of Gerusoppe Falls, Gersoppa Falls, and Jogada Gundi, it is one of the highest waterfalls in India. During monsoons, one can see a breathtaking view of the falls with rainbows coming every now and then. It is one of nature's splendid masterpieces and is situated in the dense evergreen forests. The effect of these striking falls is enhanced by the wild and beautiful region around it which is covered with plenty of abundant vegetation. This waterfall drops directly down without streaming on the rocks.

Varadahalli: Varadahalli is covered with rain forests and the ashram is located at a very beautiful place. Varadahalli is situated 6 km from Sagar, in the Shimoga district. Amidst the Western Ghats is the place where Agastya Rishi and Ved Vyas went to meditate and perform his Sadhana. Ved Vyas put the Durgambha idol there near a cave where he meditated daily. Sridhar Swamiji attained Moksha at the very place and in his memory his disciples built a Samadhi there.

Varadamoola: River Varadaa , a tributary of Tungabhadra originate from here. Located at a distance of about 8 km from Sagara town in Shimoga district, this place is popular for temple of Goddess Varadadevi and also few ancient shrines with rich history and traditions. Pushkarini or small water bodies located within the temple premises reflect ancient purity of culture, devotion and prayer. Generally it's not over crowded and it's advisable to visit the place in early morning to enjoy the beauty of pristine western ghats.

Ikkeri: Ikkeri is a historical village in Karnataka. It is located at a distance of about 6 km to the south of the Sagara town in the Shimoga district. It was the erstwhile capital of the Keladi Nayakas. The word Ikkeri means 'Two Streets' in the Kannada language.

Keladi: The town was once ruled by Nayakas, a part of the Vijayanagara empire. One such amazing piece of art is the Keladi Rameshwara temple.
