I am a huge fan of planes and the history of aviation. When I found out about the SA Flight, I got very excited and booked a ticket to fly over and see it for myself. What I found when I got there was way beyond my expectations. It wasn't just a museum with 1 or 2 planes on display, it had an entire row of them, plus many other parts of aviation history that were displayed as well.

I've been to a lot of museums, including the Smithsonian and some other major ones. I can confidently say that this is the best space museum I have ever been to. They have so many exhibits and a really cool simulation game where you can actually pretend to be an astronaut. If you're looking for a good time in DC, definitely come here!

I've been to many museums but I have never seen one so well-designed like SA Flight. The layout is really intuitive and the exhibits cover nearly all the aviation history - from early flight to modern day jets. The best part is that you can try out some of the aircrafts which are on display!

Great place!! Felt safe..

Get there early!!! Like by 6am on Thursday 1st day of ceremonies and have passes and id ready!!

15 minutes from base, knowing where other gate access can help wait times.

Expedia shows 6 miles to Lackland, not true. More like 20.

Be patient traffic gathers just outside the gate very early on Thursdays and Fridays.

The USAF Airman Heritage Museum collects, researches, preserves, interprets and presents the United States Air Force (and predecessor organizations) Enlisted Corps history, heritage, and traditions to develop Airmen today… for tomorrow. Any DoD ID card holder can visit the museum and airpark at any time during normal operational hours. All other US citizens with a valid state or government issued ID (such as a driver’s license) can visit the museum during hours of operation. The East Luke Visitor Control Center can issue a pass to visit the museum after all members of your party have been vetted and cleared through the system. ONLY the East Luke Visitor Center can issue passes to the museum.

The Great Texas Air Show is coming up faster than the Thunderbirds. Please join us for this FREE event April 6-7, 2024.

2024 AIR SHOW PREMIUM RESERVED SEATING – SOLD OUT

Premium seating is sold out for both Saturday and Sunday shows.  However, General Admission is free and open to the public until the base reaches capacity.

Any tickets bought after March 20, 2024, are likely from a fraudulent or scam site. Only tickets that were bought from https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/13449/randolph-airfield will be honored. Please be aware that an unofficial Facebook page is falsely representing itself as the JBSA Airshow source for information. This page is a scam and likely has the motive to make financial gains using the 2024 Great Texas Airshow as a front.
