Lil Durk's Tour Bus Hit In Shooting That Results In One Death

Things got ugly before a Lil Durk concert last night in Philadelphia.

Shots were fired after a loud argument in front of the Theater of Living Arts, killing a man and also hitting Lil Durk's tour bus.

The 25 year old, who police have yet to name, was hit in the torso and pronounced dead at the hospital. The bus took bullets through its windshield but nobody inside was injured.

The suspect tried to escape in a limo but was caught by police. The show, which also featured Hypno Carlito and Gunplay, was canceled.

Police have made three arrests so far and have recovered the hand gun and shell casings used in the attack. But since they are withholding all other information it's unclear if Durk was being targeted or if his bus was just caught in the crossfire.

The Chicago emcee is no stranger to violence. His manager was murdered earlier this year, and the 22 year old estimates he has lost 20 friends to the streets.

Chicago rapper Lil Durk reportedly dodged death this week when gunfire hit his tour bus and left a man dead.

According to reports, the shooting took place Friday (September 4) night in Philadelphia.

A man in his 20’s was fatally wounded and died at the hospital. An argument erupted before the shots rang out, but it’s unclear what the beef was about. It’s also unclear why the tour bus was either targeted or accidentally hit. The suspect fled in a limo but cops eventually got him. Three men were taken into custody and a handgun was recovered. (TMZ)

Earlier this year, Lil Durk spoke on losing his manager OTF Chino to gun fire.

“He’ll be involved in everything,” Lil Durk expressed regarding the LP. “[Chino] and my manager D Thang , they really put everything together. They formatted everything. I would just give them the names and they would format everything. We just keep our heads up and keep going through the music, because if we stop then we’re messing everything up. We gotta keep going.” (XXL Mag)

Durk also dismissed the idea of slowing down or taking time away from recording to mourn.

After suffering the loss of close friend and fellow OTF member NuNu last June, Durk says he’s going to continue grinding in both of his slain associates’ honors. “If we stop, we’ll give everybody what they want,” the MC said, adding that although he grieves heavily in private, in public his game face is always present. “We just gotta tear up in the room by ourselves and go out the room and be happy.” (XXL Mag)

The fatal shooting took place in March .

Uchenna Agina, 24, was shot at 1:50 a.m. Friday while sitting in a car in the 8400 block of South Stony Island Avenue, authorities said. He was hit multiple times and died after being driven to Advocate Trinity Hospital in the Calumet Heights neighborhood, police said. (DNA Info)

It’s going to be tough to top Lil Durk ’s performance at Chicago’s 2021 Big Jam where he proposed to his longtime girlfriend India Royale.

However, the Chicago-born rapper is certainly going to try on his recently announced upcoming 7220 Tour.

The tour, named after Durk’s upcoming “7220″ album that’s allegedly filled with “all anthems and no skips,” will begin in April after a few special one-off shows in early 2022.

Fresh off his 2021 co-headlining Back Outside Tour with Lil Baby, the new album and tour will be Lil Durk’s first true solo project since his 2020 album “The Voice.”

If you’re hoping to catch Lil Durk and his new “7220″ album (hopefully), here’s everything you need to know.

Where can I buy Lil Durk tickets?

Tickets to see the “Laugh Now Cry Later” rapper go on sale at Ticketmaster to the general public Friday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. EST for all shows.

The 7220 Tour, which was the street number of Lil Durk’s grandmother’s house where he lived with 15 of his family members, will be venturing outside of the neighborhood.

Starting in Phoenix on April 8, Durk is set to hop all over North America on his 17-stop jaunt across North America concluding in his hometown Chicago on May 2.

Before that, Durk will perform three one-off shows to warm up for the monthlong run of concerts.

Oh man this is not the first time street dudes have tried to get at Lil Durk . It seems like he really has an angel guiding over him. I hope it doesn’t get more serious than this! As you may or may not have heard Lil Durk had his tour bus shot up in Philadelphia Friday night (Sept 4).

One person wasn’t so lucky and became a casualty. One man in his 20’s was stabbed and died in the hospital. It has been reported that an argument caused the commotion, and then the gunfire resulted that evening.

The person suspected of the shooting fled in a limo and was caught by police, according to TMZ . A total of three men were taken in custody by police and they recovered a firearm.

Today,  Lil Durk  announces the continuation of his 2022 touring run with the  ‘The 7220 Deluxe’ Tour . The 15-city second leg produced by Live Nation will kick off on Saturday, September 17th at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, making stops across the U.S. in Brooklyn, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up in Seattle at WAMU Theater on Monday, October 17th.

The 7220  album was released March 2022, debuted #1 on the Billboard 200 charts and then subsequently went #1 again four weeks later.  7220  has garnered critical praise from ​​Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, the New York Times, and Vulture, and was certified gold by the RIAA, spawning 1 platinum and 3 gold-certified singles (“Broadway Girls” with Morgan Wallen, “What Happened to Virgil,” “AHHH HA,” and “Pissed Me Off”). Lil Durk will hit the road this spring for a North American tour in support of his upcoming album, 7220 .

The 17-city trek will launch April 8 at the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix and include stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, New York, St. Louis, and more before wrapping May 2 with a hometown show at the United Center in Chicago. Tickets for the tour will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation.

Lil Durk first teased 7220 on social media last November, although has yet to share any additional details like a tracklist, features, or release date. 7220 will mark Durk’s first solo effort since his 2020 album, The Voice , although last June he and Lil Baby released a collaborative album, The Voice of the Heroes .  

The Chicago rapper also stayed busy last year with a run of singles and collaborations: He popped up on songs with Kanye West , H.E.R. , Summer Walker , and DJ Khaled , while also dropping solo tracks like “Lion Eyes,” “Pissed Me Off,” and “Love You Too” with Kehlani. Most notably, back in November Durk released “Broadway Girls,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen, which marked the country artist’s first major release since he was caught on video using a racist slur in early 2021.

Hailing from Chicago’s (US) notoriously violent Englewood area, Lil Durk (born October 19th, 1992) is a talented MC whose melodic rhymes have impressed his luminaries, releasing music under Def Jam and French Montana’s Coke Boys imprint.

Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, grew up in Englewood, an area of Chicago that is frequently blighted by violence and gang troubles, with Durk himself growing up as a member of the Black Disciples gang. A life on the streets informed much of Lil Durk’s lyricism, which built up a strong local following after his OTF (Only the Family) mixtape series in 2011.

Singles “Sneak Dissin’” and “Ima Hitta” found critical acclaim, prompting Lil Durk to pursue seriously a career as a rap artist. With growing momentum, he followed his first mixtapes with “I’m Still a Hitta” in April 2012 and “Life Ain’t No Joke” in October the same year. In December, Lil Durk had scored a major label deal, with his debut single released soon after, a more melodic take on his “L’s Anthem”

Rising popularity brought Lil Durk opportunities to appear on tracks alongside fellow Chicago rappers, Lil Reese, Fredo Santana and Chief Keef, finding the young star new fans. In May 2013, “Dis Ain’t What U Want,” his second Def Jam single dropped, building anticipation for his new affiliation with French Montana, on his Coke Boys label.

His fourth mixtape, “Signed to the Streets,” was the first of this new collaboration, featuring a number roof other young artists including Lil Reese, Paris Bueller and Young Chop. The mixtape was a critical success, regarded as one of the best mixtapes of the year. Work on his debut album soon began, a project in conjunction with Def Jam and Coke Boys. However, tragedy struck in March 014 after Durk’s manager, Chino Agina, was fatally shot, only two days after a release date of May 2015 was announced for his first full-length effort.

Concert was Lit asf with Lil Durk and Hypno Carlito ! Everyone was turnt including my friends. We all 2x I wish I could do a song and go on tour with them. At the end Lil Durk and Carlito came out and me and my friend took a picture with them both.

OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I loved your performance I cant wait to see you again. I wish we would had a chance to take pictures with you Maybe next time

Lil Wayne Will Join Drake & Lil Durk On The Final Stretch Of Their Tour

Lil Wayne is set to join Drake and Lil Durk on the road during the last days of their tour.

On Tuesday, March 5, Weezy announced his involvement with the "It's All A Blur - Big As The What? Tour." The Young Money boss will perform at the final six dates along with Drizzy and Durk. Wayne will make his debut on March 23 & 24 at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla. From there, he will hit the stage in New York on March 29, Pennsylvania on March 31 and close out the show during a two-night finale in New Jersey on April 4 & 5.

"It's a family affair," Wayne wrote in his caption.

The last time Drake and Lil Wayne joined forces for a tour was the "Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour" in 2014. The duo traveled the country and hit up 31 cities with opening acts like YG , Yo Gotti , PARTYNEXTDOOR , G-Eazy and iLoveMakonnen .

Lil Wayne is the latest major act to join the lineup. Drake announced the extension of his "It's All A Blur Tour" with J. Cole back in November. The tour kicked off in January and has been hitting up major cities around the U.S. At the top of February, Lil Durk announced that he was added to the lineup and has accompanied both artists on the road ever since. Unfortunately, J. Cole won't be apart of the lineup once Weezy begins his turn on the tour.

The "It's All A Blur - Big As The What? Tour" just invaded Memphis and is set to hit up other locations like New Orleans, San Antonio and Oklahoma City before Wayne makes his debut. See the list of show dates that Weezy will appear at below.

Following the release of his new single and music video “All My Life” featuring J. Cole and ahead of his highly-anticipated new album, Lil Durk announced his Sorry For The Drought Tour  is hitting the United Center on August 11, 2023!

The 2023 tour run comes after his successful ‘The 7220 Tour’ which hit North America in 2022 featuring special guests Doodie Lo & Booka600. Last year, Lil Durk owned the charts with the platinum-certified 7220, which crashed the Billboard 200 as his first #1 debut on the chart and boasted “AHHH HA,” “What Happened To Virgil” [feat. Gunna], and the cross-genre smash “Broadway Girls” [feat. Morgan Wallen].

Lineup subject to change

The following approved process will be implemented at the United Center for the General Admission (GA) pit:

• WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION TIMES: At 9 a.m. on show day, guests will receive a numbered wristband. This represents the order they will be lined up in to access the GA area. Numbered wristbands will be distributed until 4:30 pm.
• LOCATION: Fans will only receive wristbands from a credentialed United Center security employee at Gate 5.
• LEAVING PRIVILEGES: Once the wristband is received, guests are free to leave and return to Gate 5 no later than 4:30 p.m.
• RETURNING TIME: All guests with a wristband must return to the United Center and be lined up in order by 4:30 p.m. to have wristband number honored.
• LATE ARRIVAL: If a guest with a numbered wristband arrives after 4:30 p.m., the guest will be placed in line after the last guest in line. Guests without wristbands arriving after 4:30 pm will also be placed in line after the last guest in line.
• ONE PROCESS: This is the only process approved for GA entry. No additional arrangements can be honored at this time.

**Please note- you must have your ticket to obtain a wristband and only one wristband per person.

** All guests with general admission tickets must enter though Gate 5.

Take I-90 East to the Madison Street exit and make a right onto Madison Street. The building will be on your left.

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

EV Charging Stations EV Charging Stations are available in Lot H and Lot K. Charging is free. Please be courteous and maintain parking/charging for the posted time limits. 

Parking Policies No in/out privileges. No overnight parking unless related to event activites and approved in advance. No solicitation allowed. No consumption of alcoholic beverages on lot or in parked vehicles. No tailgating or similar activities.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

UBER ZONE FAQs:

What is the Uber Zone (Lot E) at the United Center? To increase and streamline the fan experience for guests who take Uber to and from the United Center, the new Uber Zone is located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street (Lot E) and will combine the three former Uber locations around the arena. Traffic leading to the three prior Uber pickup locations 1) Zone A, previously located on Wood Street & Washington Blvd. near Lot A, 2) Zone D, previously located on Monroe Street & S. Paulina Street near Lot D and 3) Zone F, previously located on Monroe Street & Seeley Ave. near Lot F will now be directed towards the one new Uber Zone in Lot E.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.
