On November 15, 2021, NCT 127 officially announced their return to touring with their reworked second world tour, Neo City – The Link, in support of their third studio album, Sticker , with the tour to begin in December 2021 in Seoul before performing at other major cities around the world including Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Berlin. [1] The Seoul concerts (December 17–19) served as the first concerts held at the reopened Gocheok Sky Dome since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as NCT 127's first domestic concerts in almost three years. The tour title, "The Link," is named from NCT's "universe" where the audience is being linked as one through music and dreams. [2] [3]

Due to the ongoing pandemic, attendees were required to present proof of vaccination and present a negative PCR test. Audience members had to observe social distancing in entering and departing the venue and being seated. Fans were not allowed to shout in the venue, and they were encouraged to clap loudly instead. In the Seoul concerts, only a maximum of 5,000 people were allowed despite the venue being able to accommodate 20,000 to 30,000 people. Due to pandemic restrictions and limited attendance, the December 19th Seoul concert was livestreamed via V Live ( Beyond LIVE ) for global fans and CGV Cinemas in South Korea for domestic fans. It was re-streamed on December 26, 2021.

Two additional dates were announced for January 2022 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan, however these were cancelled in December 2021 due to Japan's new border controls and restrictions in response to the new Omicron COVID-19 variant.

On May 11, 2022, it was announced that their first Tokyo Dome concert will be released on Blu-ray on September 28 and that two new Japanese original songs will be performed at their Japan dome tour. [4] On May 13, 2022, it was also announced that the May 28th Tokyo Dome concert will be livestreamed via Beyond LIVE . [5]

Taeil did not participate at the show in Nagoya after testing positive for COVID-19 in Japan. Yuta did not participate at the Singapore show after testing positive for COVID-19. [6]

On August 25, 2022, Live Nation announced two U.S. tour dates. [7]

On September 26, 2022, SM Entertainment announced a special two-day Seoul concert, titled "Neo City : Seoul - The Link⁺". [8] The second show (October 23) would also be live-streamed via Beyond LIVE with re-streaming on November 20.

NCT 127 Is Bringing Main Character Energy To K-Pop

At their NEO CITY — THE LINK show in Newark, the idols defied expectations.

For a few hours on the eve of NCT 127's Oct. 13 show in Newark, New Jersey, nine of K-pop's biggest superstars relished in the simple pleasure of a succulent bite. At Wolfgang's Steakhouse in midtown Manhattan, JUNGWOO treated his band mates to a steak dinner, where they sat around an oblong table gorging on platters of red meat and sipping glasses of cabernet well into the evening. It was one of those rare moments on tour when everyone, bare-faced and casually dressed, could enjoy a nice meal together. Surprisingly, it doesn't happen all that often, not for a global pop act that's always on the go, shuffling from one time zone to the next, and especially not for those inside the mercurial Neo Culture Technology (NCT) ecosystem .

"We all really love eating, and going on tour makes us eat more," MARK tells Elite Daily the next day. There's a boy-next-door charm to the 23-year-old rapper, an eagerness that most idols grow out of. In roughly an hour, he and the rest of NCT 127 will emerge on the Prudential Center stage to kick off the group's second (and final) stop of the U.S. leg of their world tour. Right now, however, they're sitting around a table, lightly snacking on custom-decorated NCT sugar cookies in their crisp, white stage outfits. ("They're actually good, though," Mark says of the sweet treats.)

It's been three years since NCT 127's last tour brought them stateside. "Three years is a long time," JOHNNY says. The Chicago-born performer is naturally charismatic, and he intuitively takes the lead during this interview. "It was the first time since our debut [in 2016] that we each had a good amount of time to ourselves. It was a time for us to mature, not only musically but also personally. After everyone took some time to reorganize themselves, to find who they are, we all came back together and started doing music again. Starting from that point, everybody not only grew up as a person but as an artist, and I feel a lot of that energy as we perform now."

The fans feel it too. "To be able to even do this tour after not being able to for so long, it really meant so much for all of us and for our fans," MARK says. "And that was the attitude we put into the preparations for the tour."

The theme of their tour, called NEO CITY — THE LINK , is part of the larger NCT ethos, where all 23 members of SM Entertainment's mutable boy band collective are connected through the synchronization of their dreams. (NCT 127 is the Seoul-based group.) Onstage, Mark explains its meaning to a rapt arena of thousands the way a philosophy student might interpret ontology. "We are at The Link," the Toronto native begins, "and where does The Link rise from? It rises from The Dream. We’re all connected to The Dream, and we are experiencing The Dream together." He concludes with a characteristically cool, "Y'all feel that?” In short, The Link is about connection — connecting NCT 127 to one another and to their fans, NCTzens (pronounced "N-citizens") , through a shared dream.

So it feels especially meaningful that the show begins with " Kick It (영웅) ," a single released in early March 2020 that would ultimately solidify their hard-hitting, experimental sound and serve as a turning point for their careers. As a pandemic forced everyone to stay inside, "Kick It" went viral on TikTok, and Neo Zone became the group's first album to sell over 1 million units . Since then, NCT 127 have experienced a level of success others dream of; their most recent album, September's 질주 (2 Baddies), sold 1.5 million copies in its first week, a record for SM Entertainment.

Its title track, "질주 (2 Baddies)," evokes an image of a cooler, more rebellious NCT 127 — less off-kilter than 2021's polarizing "Sticker" and more core to the group's "experimental, alternative" sound with its aggressive rap verses and chanted chorus, says Mark. "I really think that this song just describes us. That's how I felt when I first heard the track: If we had a sonic identity, it might sound like '2 Baddies.' I might be overexaggerating a bit, but compared to our last release, this feels more us." It's more of a vibe, or a sensation, and less of a formula. "We don't really stick to one genre," he says. "We're versatile."

That versatility, of NCT 127's music and its members, is what they wanted this tour to represent. In addition to demonstrating their team's performance strengths — which JUNGWOO confidently says are their handsome "visuals," as well as their "dancing, singing, and everything" — their concert director, Rino Nakasone, told them each to channel their Main Character Energy. "I feel like all of us are part of one big movie," JOHNNY adds. "Each one of us is focused on our own character. We're literally in character from beginning to end."

In doing so, they curated a set list that would highlight their individual artistry, sprinkling solo performances throughout the concert's three-hour run time. Oldest member TAEIL sings his own version of the group's B-side track "Another World," emphasizing his vocal agility and depth. Powerhouse vocalist DOYOUNG performs the soaring ballad "The Reason Why It's Favorite," a continuation of NCT 127's " Favorite (Vampire) " and a gift from songwriter KENZIE. "It's very important to showcase our individual talents through our solo performances," DOYOUNG says matter-of-factly. "The genres that we are best at are all different… It's one thing that defines us a bit differently, and it's something that our fans really like."

YUTA, who moved from Osaka to Seoul a decade ago to pursue his dream of performing, describes the song he penned, "Butterfly," as an expression of freedom. (He has a blue butterfly tattoo on his hip, which he incorporates into the stage's choreography.) "The musical style that I like and the musical style that we do as a team is a bit different," YUTA says, tapping his black-painted nails on the table. "It was something I really wanted to show, and when I was working on it, it was coming from a state of real honesty and authenticity, especially the lyrics. That was something I wanted to present to our fans."

HAECHAN, the group's maknae , or youngest, is known for his unique voice, sweet yet piercing. For The Link , the singer was keen on showing a more mature side of himself, so he worked alongside TAEIL and producer DEEZ to create "Love Sign" — a simmering R&B slow jam. "There's a producer that we really like," HAECHAN explains. As he talks, HAECHAN fiddles with a plastic cookie wrapper; he's not someone who can sit still for very long. He and DEEZ have worked on "a couple of songs together" (he's too much of a perfectionist to reveal them just yet), but the smooth sultriness of "Love Sign" was something he "wanted to showcase" to fans at this point in time. While he teams up with TAEIL on the vocals, the all-rounder pirouettes across the stage during a stunning dance solo, displaying a panorama of his talents.

JUNGWOO also shows off his fluid yet rhythmic dance style with a slinky performance of NCT 127's Japanese song "Lipstick." Donning a wide-brimmed hat with an embellished veil, the effusive artist lets his body do the talking. Meanwhile, JOHNNY delivers a truly show-stopping moment during "Focus," when he performs — completely shirtless — within a clear, glass shower, turning the apparatus into his own sexy showroom. "We all have our own things that we want to show off," JAEHYUN says. There's an unmistakable zen to his demeanor. This past August, the crooner put out his first solo release, " Forever Only ." He calls the chill R&B track " sexy lonely " and he brought that vibe to the arena stage to perform "Lost," an unreleased song from his repertoire. "Everyone is getting more involved in what they want to do, and having opportunities to show off what I really wanted to show helps me to grow and learn more as an artist," he says. "And I can use that when we do our team work as well."

Perhaps no one on their team understands that more than MARK and TAEYONG, the group's magnetic main rappers. At times, they seem like NCT's unofficial frontmen, having played crucial parts in numerous NCT U projects and SM's " Avengers of K-pop " supergroup SuperM . (MARK, along with HAECHAN, are also members of NCT Dream, a subunit for NCT's youngest artists that also happens to be extremely popular .) MARK was the first member of NCT to release official solo work as part of the collective's " NCT LAB " project, and TAEYONG dropped " Love Theory ," a colorful collaboration with singer Wonstein, earlier this year. Yet, neither perform these songs at the concert, choosing instead to defy expectations. MARK sets the stage ablaze with "Vibration," an assertively in-your-face hip-hop track, while TAEYONG demonstrates the full spectrum of his star power with the groovy "Moonlight," before joining MARK for their electrifying duo performance of "The Himalayas,” a hype song they wrote and composed in 2020.

TAEYONG is a colorful performer, and his appearance is often a vehicle for art — through his hair (currently, it's perfectly coiffed and copper), makeup, and styling, not to mention his movement. TAEYONG is a pop star in every sense of the word. He's also shy and in his own head a lot, choosing to express himself through his art. Still, when he's with NCT 127 he thinks of himself as part of a larger organism. "I definitely think when there's a great opportunity and chance to, I would of course like to establish myself as a solo artist," he says. "But when it comes to that, timing is everything. Because we're on tour right now that stance is a bit different. Right now it's my time to be part of the group."

"I actually think that's one of the main reasons why I'm also a fan of NCT 127," MARK inserts. "I get so much energy from that, you know, like, I respect all these guys individually and for what they do and for who they are. Having nine totally different people and nine totally different artists becoming one entity, 127, it's what gets me excited, and I get energy from that as an artist myself, and I get inspiration from that as a person." Of course, that doesn't mean it's entirely easy to assert yourself within such a large group. "Finding that balance was tough," he adds. "There were some hard times getting there, because we all are very different. But that's what makes us, and it's working."

That's why JOHNNY, when asked what kind of movie NCT 127 are evoking, describes the group as Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction . "We've got everything," he says with a smirk. To view it from the outside, the film's nonlinear pacing, interlocking stories, idiosyncratic characters, and the strange world of baddies and intrigue in which they inhabit does seem to encapsulate the more anarchic Neo vibe. It's chaotic, and yet somehow it works.

But not all of the members of NCT 127 are content with being a cult classic; some, like TAEYONG, have more mainstream, Hulk-sized ambitions. "When we come back to the U.S.," he says, "hopefully we can go on a stadium tour." First, however, soft-spoken TAEIL wants to focus on the goal that's right in front of them and "pull through everything that we have to do." (Upon their return home, NCT 127 performed for more than 120,000 fans , both on and offline, during a two-night stint at Seoul Olympic Stadium, the largest stadium in South Korea.)

Yet, MARK is always eager to do more, to be more, to dream for more. Back in Newark, he echoes this sentiment on stage at the end of the night during the group's closing statements . "Honestly, I feel like we've still got so much more to do," he tells the cheering crowd. "With that being said, by the time we come here again, we better be doing more than two days."

As the NCT universe keeps growing, fans keep hoping to see more from their favorite 23 member group. NCT's ‘Universe’ has been a success ever since it dropped. The 21 active members (Winwin and Lucas are still on hiatus) participated in the album. The ‘Neo City - The Link’ tour from  NCT 127 will first air in a three-day concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, Seoul in South Korea from December 17 to December 19, 2021.

NCT 127 members will then continue the ‘Neo City - The Link’ tour in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena in Chuo-ku, Saitama, Japan on January 15 and 16, 2022.

NCT 127 Announces 2 Special U.S. Dates For Their "Neo City : The Link" World Tour

NCT 127 is coming back to the United States for two special performances!

On August 25 local time, Live Nation announced two U.S. tour dates for NCT 127’s “Neo City : The Link” world tour. NCT 127 will visit the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on October 6 before performing at the Prudential Center in Newark on October 13. Tickets will go on sale on August 29 at 3 p.m. local time.

Last December, NCT 127 kicked off their long-awaited world tour “Neo City : The Link” with three concerts at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome. This past June, NCT 127 wrapped up their dome tour for the Japan leg of the tour. SM Entertainment has previously stated that this world tour will be taking them to various major cities across the globe, but these first two U.S. dates are the only ones to be confirmed thus far!

NCT 127 is currently gearing up to make their comeback with “ 2 Baddies ” on September 16.

In an interview with Glass magazine in 2022, NCT 127 opened up about how the group would describe themselves and their music . “We’re a group that’s not afraid of challenges. I’d like for us to have no fear in trying something new and continue challenging ourselves to try out new genres, concepts, and performances as well,” Doyoung said. Taeyong added, “As much as NCT 127 is a multi-member group, there’s a wider range of genres that we can try out and more ways of expressing these. We’re able to confidently show great performances that make all our members stand out.”

“NCT 127 is a group that constantly pursues new styles of music. Even though we make comebacks with concepts that’re different from the previous release, we still try to show our hip energy and great performances,” Mark continued. Haechan added, “NCT 127 is a group based in Seoul that’s also active globally. I’d like for us to use our various music and performances to share our stories with the fans.”

The group also told the magazine about how their creative process works with 10 members. “We pay a lot of attention to the stage-set up and how the members in the back can support to make each member in the front really stand out during each member’s part of the track or choreography,” Yuta said. “We always make sure to talk a lot amongst our members and when we’re discussing on certain things like a specific movement or formations, we try out all the different opinions and decide on which is the best direction to go.”

Johnny added, “Our personality comes from our team, and I believe the performances we make together are not simply made by the efforts of one individual. We also use the majority rule at times when we need to make a decision.” Mark continued, “We try to show our own personalities through our music and our performances. Even the minor things like the lyrics, gestures, or even facial expressions can really show our own individual colors. When we need to make decisions though, we figure out what’s most important and then think about how we can properly portray that.”

The members also told Glass about how they became interested in music and started performing. “I’ve naturally come to enjoy singing, but the moment I sang in front of my friends is when I actually realised that I want to become a singer,” Doyoung said. Jaehyun added, “I’ve enjoyed music and playing the piano since I was young. I sang at school events, and music was always something I enjoyed as a hobby. I was casted by the company when I was in 9th grade and as I started practicing every day, I started to officially pursue music because I realized it’s something I could see myself enjoy doing.”

Taeil continued, “I honestly didn’t know I was going to pursue music as an artist until my middle school teacher recommended that I participate in a music contest which I did with my friend. That served as a momentum.” Jungwoo added, “When I was young, I had this habit of singing along to music that was playing around and also listened to a lot of music regardless of the genre which naturally led me into pursuing music!”

Jakarta, Indonesia – Dyandra Global Edutainment is announced to host NCT 127’s solo concert on November 5, 2022, at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Indonesia. The show is part of the boyband’s ‘NEO CITY – THE LINK’ second world tour, which initially began in South Korea in December last year.

After Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, Indonesia and Bangkok will be their next destination in Asia for the tour. This news is confirmed from NCT 127’s Instagram post that after their Los Angeles, Newark, and Latin America show, Jakarta will be the next stop for NCT 127 2ND TOUR ‘NEO CITY : JAKARTA – THE LINK’ .

NCT 127’s Jakarta tour concert will also be fully supported by two big names which appointed the nine-membered group as their brand ambassadors, namely the leading Indonesia leading omnichannel commerce and lifestyle platform Blibli and CLICK as a new toothpaste brand in Indonesia.

• If unable to check-in through the PeduliLindungi’s app then Event Attendees are required to bring a printed vaccination certificate or vaccination card in accordance to the terms and conditions.
• For Event Attendees who have been declared medically incapable of being vaccinated (with comorbidities), they must bring a doctor’s certificate stating their medical condition and inability to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
• All Event Attendees are required to bring an official Identity Card.
• All Event Attendees are required to take a temperature check that will be carried out before entering the event area. If the body temperature is above normal (> 37.5°C), the Organizer cannot allow you to enter the event venue.
• The use of masks is mandatory without exception in all event venues and throughout the event. Please only use medical masks (not material masks and/or cloth masks).
• The Organizer will apply additional regulations in the future regarding the health protocol in accordance with the provisions imposed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

• Organizer/Promoter reserves the right to process and litigate in accordance with Indonesia regulations either in civil criminal proceedings against people who get tickets in ways that are not valid, including but not limited to counterfeiting or copying a valid ticket or get a ticket in a way that do not match those specified by the organizer/Promoter as in item (a) of this provision.
• Organizer/Promoter is not responsible for any negligence that resulted E-voucher/ wristband is misplaced or lost (or in the mastery of others’ hands) and is used to enter the venue by others.
• Purchaser hereby agree to release the organizer/promoter from legal claims through the courts or any means permitted by law in the event of cancellation of a concert that was made unilaterally by the artist or the government or others causes beyond the capacity and will of the organizer.
• If the event is cancelled, the tickets will be refunded in accordance with the provisions of the promoter. The cost of convenience fee (charged to the buyer with a credit card) will not be refunded.
• The event organizer has the right to prohibit visitors from entering the event location if visitors do not have a valid ticket.
• Organizer is entitled to remove the audience from the venue event if it is deemed necessary for safety, for the convenience of other audiences, and to ensure the integrity of the event.
• Event attendees must wear wristbands at all time on the venue. Those who lose their wristband for any reason will not be allowed entry into the event.
• Event attendees within the event (inside) that are not in possession of a valid wristband, will be removed from the concert area with no exception.
• In certain circumstances some areas within the venue may become restricted.
• The organizers, promoters, and artists are not liable for any compensation and/or cancellation charges for travel expenses resulting from the event being cancelled or postponed.
• Event attendees who are behaving in a disorderly, offensive or inappropriate manner, and guests who refuse to obey instructions/warnings from event staff will be removed from the Event immediately. No refunds will be given.
• Any attempt to enter the event without a valid ticket or valid credentials will result in the immediate removal from event grounds. In certain cases, we will contact police and press charges against the violators.
• The event operators, organizers, promoters, and artists cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged possessions or accidents resulting in injury occurring anywhere in the venue during the event regardless of fault or reason.
• The Organizer/Promoter will refuse entry to guests who are severely intoxicated, clearly affected by drugs or deemed un t for entry. Anyone found carrying these items will be reported to the police immediately. No refunds will be given. Guests found to possess illegal substances, weapons and/or other prohibited items will also be refused entry.
• The organizer will not use or disclose guests’ personal information collected at the time of ticket purchase without consent.
• Event attendees who are removed or exit from the venue for any reasons will be banned from entering the event.
• The event is intended to be a friendly and enjoyable event.
• The organizer reserves the right to change the layout and the seating of the audience in the event location at any time.

• NO unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling or giveaways without prior approval from promoter/organizer.
• NO weapons of any kind
• NO paint of any kind including paint markers and spray paint
• NO fireworks
• NO illegal substance
• NO illegal drugs or substances or drug paraphernalia
• NO official medicines, unless you can show a doctor’s prescription. Carrying products that are harmful to human health is prohibited.
• NO large chains.
• NO laser pointers.
• NO flags or totems with metal or wood pieces.
• NO large umbrellas.
• NO unsealed sanitary products
• NO big Fan.
• NO carrying a corkscrew or bottle opener.
• NO backpack, travel luggage, and others bag that may exceed 20 cm x 30 cm. There will be no lockers at the venue.
• NO glass bottles are allowed.
• NO tripod for cameras.
• NO projectiles or explosives.
• NO knives or sharp objects.
• NO flammable products or aerosol cans.
• NO open fires.
• NO water guns or air guns.
• NO drones and/or other similar flying apparatus.

• NO item that can be used as a means to disturb the peace, endanger the safety of the crowd and/or inflict damage to people and goods in the sole discretion of Event Staff.
• For safety reasons, Organizer/Promoter reserves the right to, without any prior notice or compensation to You: postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop the Event; provisionally keep visitors on the event site at the end of the event; totally or partially vacate the event site; and deny access to the event site regardless of the possession of a valid entry ticket.
• The Organizer/Promoter disclaims all responsibility from losses or damages to vehicles parked on or near the Event.
• The Organizer or Promoter is not responsible for losses or damage to any vehicle towed from the event site.

SECURITY ENTRY

• Your safety and security are important to us. You understand that you and your property may be subject to a reasonable search upon entry to the event. If you refuse to participate in these security measures, we may deny you entry. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave the event if your behavior causes us concern for the safety or security of event attendees. If we deny you entry or require you to leave, you will not receive a refund.
• All attendees are subject to being searched prior to entry into the event, including members of the media. • Promoter/Organizer and its affiliations/association reserves the right to film, record, and/or photograph the visitor, participant or wristband holder’s image, likeness, action, and/or statement of this event for television, moving picture, webcast and/or other public broadcast in any medium for any purpose. Toyota Center is excited to welcome K-Pop phenomenon NCT 127 on January 11! NCT 127 fans (known as NCTzens) can expect NEO CITY : THE LINK to be a dazzling event featuring songs from 질주 (2 Baddies) , as well as chart-topping songs and performances from recent albums including Neo Zone , Favorite and Sticker . NCT 127 is the acronym for “Neo Culture Technology” and the number 127, which represents the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul, Korea, the home of K-pop. The group became just the second K-Pop artist in history to land three albums in the Top 5. Don't miss NCT 127's Toyota Center debut in January!

NCT 127 announce Asia leg of 2023 to 2024 ‘Neo City – The Unity’ tour

Featuring shows in Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan and more

K-pop boyband NCT 127 have announced the dates for their upcoming ‘Neo City – The Unity’ tour.

NCT 127 have unveiled the cities and dates for the Asia leg of their third tour, titled ‘Neo City – The Unity’. It’ll kick off this month with six shows in Seoul, South Korea.

In January 2024, the SM Entertainment boyband will head to Japan for two shows in the Japanese city of Nagoya. Thereafter, they will play five concerts in Southeast Asia: two in Jakarta, two in Bangkok and one in Bulacan.

In February, NCT 127 will head to Macau, China for two shows. Following which, they will continue the Japan leg of their tour, with two shows each in Osaka and Tokyo.

According to the newly released poster for NCT 127’s ‘Neo City – The Unity’ tour, more dates will be announced soon.

Ticketing and venue details for the K-pop boyband’s upcoming tour have yet to be announced. Keep tabs on this page for the latest information.

In other news, the wider NCT group have announced the release date for their upcoming concert film,  NCT NATION: To The World . The movie will follow the K-pop boyband during their concert at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in South Korea, which took place on August 26 earlier this year.

In September, NCT 127 were  the subject of a Disney+/Hulu docu-series, titled  NCT 127: The Lost Boys . Each episode of the show “focus[ed] on two-to-three members of the group as they talk about their past”, alongside never-before-seen interviews.
