Nikki Glaser: Alive and Unwell Tour

For nearly two decades at clubs across the world, and as the host of three-hit podcasts,  Nikki Glaser  has honed her shockingly honest, no-holds-barred style of comedy, solidifying herself as one of the funniest voices in comedy today.

On May 11,  Glaser  returns with her highly anticipated second HBO comedy special,  Someday You’ll Die . In July 2022, she headlined her first HBO comedy special,  Good Clean Filth , which was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for “Best Comedy Special.” In March 2021, Glaser launched  The Nikki Glaser Podcast  where she provides a fun and brutally honest look into pop culture and her own personal life in weekly episodes.

Currently,  Nikki  hosts and executive produces  Lovers and Liars,  which premiered on the CW in April. The show is the female spinoff of the hit HBO Max reality dating series  FBoy Island , which  Nikki  hosted and executive produced for three seasons. Season one of  FBoy Island  had the biggest premiere weekend for an HBO Max Original reality series since the platform’s launch.  Nikki  took her love of reality TV to the next level by starring in and executive producing the E! reality sitcom  Welcome Home Nikki Glaser? . Uprooted from her fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle,  Nikki  returns to her hometown of St. Louis where she embarks on a hilarious and often uncomfortable journey of self-discovery. Unfiltered, relatable, and unapologetically herself,  Nikki  navigates friends, family, and romance as a homegrown local celebrity.

Previously,  Nikki  flexed her over-sharing muscle as the host of Comedy Central’s first live daily morning show,  You Up with Nikki Glaser  for SiriusXM.  Nikki’s  most recent Netflix comedy special,  Bangin’ , was released in October 2019.  Bangin’  was the most-watched special on Netflix when it premiered.  Nikki  hosted, co-created, and executive produced the critically-acclaimed and daring comedic show,  Not Safe with Nikki Glaser , for Comedy Central, and  Nikki & Sara Live  for MTV.

She has become a complete open book on mic - and not just for the laughs, she’s also also adamant on being the empowering voice for women that she yearned for as a confused adolescent.

The venue has unreserved seating and are taken on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive early before event door times if you have preferred seats. Due to the nature of our venue, please be prepared to queue for entry.

The venue is fully accessible, with use of ramps and the upstairs bar is accessible with use of a platform lift. Please email  [email protected]  with your accessibility requirements.

The bar is located on the first floor of the venue and will be open pre-show from the stated door time and during the interval. The bar will be closed after the interval. 

Alcohol consumption will be limited to the bar area only, it is not permitted to take alcohol to the main chapel space.  An array of soft drinks and snacks will also be available and are permitted in the main space. (Please note, no food or drink may be brought from outside into the venue).

Get Directions

Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and follow signs indicating Downtown San Francisco. Stay to the left and take the Marina exit; you’ll see the sign overhead. While you might be tempted to take a right at the first stop light (Lyon Street) and pull directly into the Palace of Fine Arts, pass the Lyon Street entrance and proceed straight on Marina Boulevard. Then:

• Right on Baker Street
• Left on Jefferson Street
• Left on Broderick Street
• Left on Marina Boulevard, then immediately move into the right lane
• Turn right on Yacht Road and follow signs for Palace of Fine Arts parking (lot is next to the St. Francis Yacht Club).
• Or continue on Marina onto Mason Street. The alternate parking lot will be on your left (see map). Please note that there is a walkway from this lot to the back of the main Theatre lot.

NOTE: Avoid bearing left on Marina Boulevard; that stretch of Marina Boulevard turns into an onramp for Highway 101 and the Golden Gate Bridge. If you inadvertently end up on the approach to the Bridge, don’t worry; you’ll have a chance to exit to the right just before the toll plaza. You can then make your way back to the Palace of Fine Arts through the Presidio or retry the directions from above.

Cross the Bay Bridge. Follow the signs to the 9th Street exit. Stay in the right-hand lane. Go one block and turn right onto 9th Street. Stay in the left-hand lane. Immediately after Market Street, veer left onto Hayes Street. Then:

• Right on Van Ness Avenue (look for signs to the Golden Gate Bridge)
• Left on Lombard Street; once on Lombard, get into the right-hand lane
• Right on Divisadero Street

NOTE: Avoid bearing left on Marina Boulevard; that stretch of Marina Boulevard turns into an onramp for Highway 101 and the Golden Gate Bridge. From Highway 101

Take Highway 101 North to the Market Street/Van Ness exit. Take Van Ness to Lombard (look for signs to the Golden Gate Bridge). Turn left onto Lombard. Once on Lombard, get into the right-hand lane. Then:

• Turn right on Yacht Road and follow signs for Palace of Fine Arts parking (lot is next to the St. Francis Yacht Club). If you pass the lot, you’ll see signs on the right for additional parking at Crissy Field.

From Interstate 280

Follow 19th Avenue through Golden Gate Park; 19th Avenue becomes Park Presidio Boulevard on the other side of the Park. Follow signs for the Highway 101 Detour. Then:

• Right on Geary Boulevard
• Left on Van Ness Avenue, move into left lanes
• Left on Lombard Street, get into the right-hand lane

The Palace of Fine Arts Theatre has convenient access to public transportation. We are accessible by San Francisco Muni buses #30, #43, #28, and #29. Muni bus lines #22, #41, and #45 also stop in the vicinity. From Fisherman’s Wharf take the #30 Stockton bus. For more information, call Muni at (415) 673-6864 or check the SFMTA trip planner.

If you’re taking BART, get off at the Montgomery Street station, walk one half-block up Market Street to Third Street, and catch the #30 Stockton bus on the corner.

Comedian Nikki Glaser is coming to FireKeepers Casino this summer. What you need to know

Comedian Nikki Glaser is bringing her Alive and Unwell Tour to Calhoun County.

Glaser is slated to perform at the FireKeepers Casino Event Center at 8 p.m. Aug. 24, casino officials announced this week. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, starting at $49 plus fees.

Tickets can be purchased online at firekeeperscasino.com or at the FireKeepers Casino box office in the hotel lobby.

"Nikki Glaser's comedic talents are unparalleled, and we find her absolutely hilarious," Jim Wise, vice president of marketing at FireKeepers Casino, said in a statement. "We are very excited to welcome her to FireKeepers and hear what she has to say. It's sure to be a night filled with laughter and good times."

For nearly two decades at clubs across the country, and as the host of three podcasts, Nikki Glaser has become known for her honest, no-holds barred style of comedy. Her latest HBO comedy special "Someday You'll Die" premieres May 11.

Nikki Glaser is one of the funniest female voices in comedy today. For over a decade at clubs and theatres across the country, and as the host of three hit podcasts, she has been honing her shockingly- honest, no-holds barred style of comedy. Her brand-new daily show, THE NIKKI GLASER PODCAST, launched in 2021 through iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network. It is a daily companion podcast that is peppered with Nikki’s sense of humor and honesty to help keep listeners sane, well-informed and laughing through life. 2022 was a big year for Nikki. Her E! reality show STUCK IN ST. LOUIS was released to rave reviews. Nikki’s latest comedy special, GOOD CLEAN FILTH (2022) was released on HBO, offering her brutally-honest take on sex, dating, feminism and more. Nikki also returned to host the hit HBO Max series FBOY ISLAND, which was released in July 2022.

Her upcoming nationwide comedy tour THE GOOD GIRL TOUR is kicking off in 2023.

Glaser has taken her love for reality tv to the next level by hosting the new HBO MAX reality dating series FBOY ISLAND. FBOY ISLAND, follows three women who move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection. By the finale, all will be revealed – who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy and who the women ultimately choose.

Previously, Nikki was flexing her over-sharing muscle as the host of Comedy Central’s first live daily morning show, YOU UP WITH NIKKI GLASER for SiriusXM, which ran from February 2018 to October 2020. Nikki’s recent Netflix comedy special, BANGIN’, was released October 2019. BANGIN’ was the most watched Netflix special of the month and VULTURE included it on their “10 Best Comedy Specials of 2019” year-end list. THE NATURAL LINES

“Maybe the problem is me,” the artist formerly known as Matt Pond PA sings on the opening track from First Five. At once clearly Pond’s work, yet a huge leap forward in its measured songcraft, melodic immediacy, collaborative detail and wryly questioning lyrics, the result is a gorgeous collection of intimate reflections and personal accountability from a relocated, renamed, revivified talent. Here, The Natural Lines paint a picture of the internal conflict, comedy and ultimate acceptance inside all of us. Recorded with close collaborators and friends over a period that saw Pond make vital adjustments to his life, its stealth emergence reflects his desire to set a fresh pace for himself and come from somewhere new, somewhere more open.

The change of pace is instantly evident on ‘Monotony’, a glistening opener inspired by meditation and the art of breathing. Though taught to meditate as a kid, Matt found it hard to shake his scepticism. On ‘Monotony,’ scepticism takes a back seat to acceptance, a shift reflected in the song’s controlled pace: “Rather than leaning forward, I wanted to lean back on the groove and find the space lyrically, musically and thoughtfully. I feel like I used to rush through a song and not let it breathe. Now I want to work with the song and just find that pocket.”

For Matt, the call to ring the changes came with the recognition of “a certain nihilism or narcissism” involved in making music. “In some ways, you have to get in your own head and I think I went too far with that, with drinking and shutting people out. In something that I believe is collaborative, it’s not helpful. It poisons your thoughts when you’re sleeping and poisons your music.

“I quit lying,” he adds. “I checked my harsher tones. I cut my drinking down. I went to therapy and figured out how to stop shouting at cars."
