Would use this Canadian based company again

Went on Kerry Royal tour of 8 days with guide Kelli;36 people on the tour. Experienced guide who offered a wealth of information and took us off the beaten path. Excellent. An experienced guide, she was pleased to work for RIT, as she felt that the company was particular of staff they hired. Accommodations were really comfortable. We stayed 2 and 3 nights at most hotels and departures were around 9 a.m., so a really comfortable itinerary. There was only 1 extra cost for an outing on the 8 day tour[Celtic Steps concert-worth every euro], so it made it easier to budget. Sonye

My husband and I recently completed a 15 day tour of Ireland with Royal Irish tours . The trip was outstanding until we arrived in Dublin for our last 2 nights. Our original booking said we would be staying at the Gresham Hotel. Conveniently located near the city centre instead we were bumped to the Croke park hotel. Much farther from downtown ( a 5€ per person cab ride) each way. I personal spent 20€ on cabs in two days. Members of our tour who went out in the evening from the hotel were told by locals it was not a safe area to walk in and they would not be welcome at the local Irish pubs. The hotel was also dirty , filthy carpets in the hallways, dirty dishes left outside of rooms for more than 12 hours, bags of Landry left in hallways all day. I do not believe RIT provided us with equivalent accommodation to that which was outline in our trip itinerary. Unfortunately a disappointing end to what had been an wonderful trip.

Karen was our tour guide for this wonderful coach tour through Ireland. She was absolutely amazing. Everything was so well organized and the itinerary was awesome. Her knowledge of the country and it’s history was exceptional. We loved that she played traditional Irish music between her oratorios during extended periods on the bus. I’ll always remember her infectious laugh and steady demeanour. Thanks also to our driver Paul who got us through the week safe and sound.

We are just getting home from a most amazing trip to Ireland, RIT know how to treat their guests first class. Our Tour guide Tony was excellent, what a wealth of information. His recommendations were spot on. Thanks to our driver Dave who safely drove us around Ireland, through the toughest areas to navigate. We learnt so much and had a lot of fun too. The hotel choices were awesome as well as the food was excellent. We will definitely chose RIT again

We went on the Celtic Royal Tour and had an amazing time. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was extremely knowledgeable of the history and geography of the land. She also delighted us with poetry (her own and famous poets) and authentic music. The stops were amazing, sometimes wished we had more time (Cliffs of Moher and Galway), and less time (Giant's Causeway). Our bus driver, Andy, was safe. The hotels and inclusive meals were perfect! We actually wished we had stayed an extra week, and we normally never feel that way. We're looking at returning someday and will definitely book with RIT again.

We went on a five day/four night tour of Western Ireland. The overnight stays were in Galway, Spanish Point and 2 nights in Killarney. The scenery was spectacular on our drive and the stops along the way were interesting and breathtaking. Our tour guide, John, was entertaining, affable and knowledgeable. He told us the history of what we were seeing along the way and gave us lots of flexibility to take photos and browse around. The small tour bus handles a max. of 16 but there were only 7 of us. We could stay with the group or venture off on our own and we had lots of free time in the evenings. The hotel accommodations were first class. We saw all of the spots along the way that we wanted to see: Ring of Kerry, Aran Islands, Tralee, Cliffs of Moher, and many other places. We even visited a working sheep farm and saw the sheep dog corral the sheep! Our favourite town was Galway. We would highly recommend this tour company for Canadians visiting Ireland. The bus was comfortable, the driver/guide was outstanding, the tour stops were well-planned and the accommodations were first class. Who could ask for more?

Fantastic experience: We want to extend our gratitude to Nigel (tour guide) and Richard (bus driver) for an amazing experience as a family. We also had a great group of 28. Our family took a 10 day trip by bus of Ireland including 2 day in Belfast. The accommodation and entertainment included in our package was great. The food was grat, the choices of sites seeing were fantastic. I highly recommend the trip with RIT and if you are lucky enough to have the “A Team” Nigel and Richard, you will have a trip of a lifetime. Thank RIT for the amazing memories.

Fantastic experience: We just completed the Manor Royal Tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Nigel was very knowledgeable and courteous. He contributed to the pleasurable and stress-free experience. The tour was well-organized and wide-ranging. I definitely would not hesitate to recommend and/or book another tour with RIT.

Fantastic experience: RIT 10 day small coach tour was absolutely amazing. Excellent stops and hotels in every City centre except for Kilronan Castle for our final night of excellent food and company. Robert lead the first 5 days in the south which was fantastic then we met Vinnie for our second 5 days in the north which was exceptional. Roland walking us through history atop the walls of Derry and our guide of Dunluce Castle were entertaining and informative. Thank you RIT for the itinerary and two excellent guide/drivers for a vacation that exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic experience: The best driving tour of Ireland! August 14th - August 24th. It was amazing. The itinerary was perfect, gorgeous meals at pubs/restaurants and plenty of castle exploring. Royal Irish Tours hosts Ireland’s first fam from North America since the pandemic

TORONTO — Royal Irish Tours (RIT) celebrated St. Patrick’s Day this year in the best possible way – in Ireland, on a FAM, with a group of travel advisors from The Travel Agent Next Door.

The seven-night trip, which departed before the holiday, marked the first time Ireland has hosted a fam from North America since the start of the pandemic. Advisors were able to visit such iconic locales s Belfast, Donegal, Galway and Dublin.

“Everywhere we went, we really did get the ‘Cead Mile Failte’ (the 100,000 welcomes) that Ireland is known for,” said Jonathan Sargeant, Sales Manager at RIT. “Everyone was so friendly and just delighted to see people back visiting from overseas. For us, it was so nice to be able to host this trip and show the TTAND advisors a little piece of that famous Irish hospitality.”

Topher Campbell, Training Coordinator at The Travel Agent Next Door, who confirmed that this also marked TTAND’s first fam in over two years, added: “From the moment we arrived in Dublin, our partner travel agents were able to see first-hand that Ireland is open and excited to welcome Canadians. Royal Irish Tours is a fantastic partner for our partner travel agents. Travel agents will have peace of mind knowing that their clients will have a wonderful experience.”

Participating TTAND agents were quick to share their positive experience and praise RIT for a successful fam.

Mandy Armstrong from The Travel Agent Next Door in Brockville, ON, said: “RIT treated us to experiences I’ve spent a lifetime dreaming about, and Ireland was everything I had hoped it would be. I’m excited to help my clients have the same experience!”

Judith Coates, Co-Founder of the Association of Canadian Independent Travel Advisors (ACITA), added: “Going to Ireland with RIT Vacations gave me a better awareness of the rich culture, the beautiful people and the warm hospitality that Ireland has to offer. I now have a clear understanding of why RIT is the best choice for my clients when they are planning a trip to Ireland.”

Ireland has lifted all travel restrictions on March 6, 2022 . Visitors are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or recovery, take a COVID-19 test for entry or complete a passenger locator form to travel. Coupled with Canada’s removal of pre-arrival COVID-19 testing for fully vaccinated travellers arriving in Canada, RIT is cautiously optimistic for the upcoming touring season, which will begin on May 2, 2022.

Double vaccination will remain mandatory for RIT guests joining coach and sightseeing tours in 2022.
