1. Pan Pacific Seattle

The Pan Pacific Seattle is the perfect destination for cruisers looking to explore the city of Seattle. Located in downtown Seattle, the hotel offers a free shuttle service within 2 miles of the city center, allowing guests to easily access some of Seattle’s top attractions, including Pike Place Market, The Space Needle, and the iconic Seattle Waterfront.

Additionally, due to its fantastic location near all the action, visitors can take in all that downtown Seattle has to offer without having to worry about transportation logistics. The hotel staff is also friendly yet knowledgeable, always happy to help visitors make the most out of their stay in Seattle. ⚓︎ Pan Pacific is closest to Pier 66

The Pan Pacific Seattle is an ideal lodging choice for cruisers sailing from Pier 66 . It offers a luxurious and convenient experience, featuring stylish modern rooms. There are a few potential downsides to this hotel. Parking is priced quite high (as is all of Seattle), but if you dont have a car, that wont matter. Breakfast is not included, and can be costly, although it is excellent quality.

The last drawback is that if you are sailing from terminal 91, you will not be able to utilize the shuttle to the ship, and will need to find alternate transportation.

2. Hyatt House Seattle

Hyatt House Seattle is the perfect place for cruisers! All of their rooms come with refrigerators and microwaves, along with free breakfast and snacks. Plus, the views from the rooftop deck are unbeatable! You can walk across the street to the Space Needle, or walk to Pike Place in under 20 minutes.

We rented electric scooters and rode them to the waterfront which was so much fun! It is a great way to see the city. During cruise season, the hotel will help you arrange a shuttle to both cruise ports.

Hyatt House Downtown Seattle is the perfect place for discerning travelers looking to enjoy the bustling city life of Seattle. Here are the top three benefits of staying at this hotel:

1. Hyatt House offers convenient access to popular attractions like the Pike Place Market and Space Needle, as well as local shopping, dining, and entertainment. 2. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily, so you can fuel up before heading out on an exciting day in Seattle! 3. Enjoy the rooftop terrace and fireplace too!

Hyatt Place Seattle/ Downtown has some drawbacks that you should consider before booking a stay. Here is a list of cons: The Wifi here is notoriously awful. I can’t ever get enough signal to do anything from inside the hotel, so if you need to work before your cruise, you may have difficulty here.

The views aren’t great from the rooms. Yes, it is across the street from the Space Needle, but your in-room view likely won’t reflect that. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt House in Seattle on multiple occasions, and my experiences there have been nothing short of excellent.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been more than pleased each time — the customer service is outstanding, and the rooms are always spotless. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to explore the city too; walking around the area can be quite fun. Hyatt House Seattle is the perfect place to stay before heading off to an Alaskan cruise.

Relax in comfortable rooms and suites. With a convenient location near downtown Seattle, you will be able to easily explore the city’s attractions before boarding your cruise ship. And when you depart, Hyatt House Seattle helps to arrange shuttle services to the cruise terminal so you can get there on time with no hassle.

Staying at the Staypineapple Maxwell Hotel has a few cons. One is that they charge a “resort fee” of $28 per night, which some travelers may consider too expensive. Another is that they do not offer any transportation to the port, so you will need to get a ride to the cruise port. Lastly, if you have a car, parking fees can be steep. All these cons should be considered before booking a stay at this hotel.

4. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SeaTac, an IHG Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites SeaTac is the perfect place for cruisers who need an easy and stress-free stay before their voyage. With a free airport shuttle, transportation to the cruise port, and free breakfast served in a friendly atmosphere, this hotel makes it simple to have everything you need for your cruise all under one roof.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea Tac offers guests comfort, convenience, and top-notch service. The hotel is conveniently located near Seattle Tacoma International Airport. The complimentary shuttle makes getting there a breeze.

All rooms come with amenities like free Wifi, flat-screen TVs, and microwaves to make your stay comfortable. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea-Tac provides exceptional customer service with friendly staff that are always on hand to help you with anything you may need during your stay.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea-Tac may not offer the most convenient location for those looking to explore Seattle’s attractions. It is located over 12 miles away from the city center, making it a bit of a trek to get to places like the Space Needle or Pike Place Market.

Additionally, there are limited transportation options available from the hotel to those attractions and they can be expensive. Furthermore, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea-Tac is situated near an industrial and residential area, not providing much in terms of sightseeing opportunities.

Seattle Cruise Ports

There are two cruise ports in Seattle. The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91 and the Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66. Both offer great views of the city and easy access to downtown.

Smith Cove Cruise Terminal/Pier 91

This terminal is located 10 minutes North of Seattle and is the main cruise terminal in Seattle. Smith Cove Cruise Terminal is about 40 minutes (depending on Seattle traffic, which by the way can be awful), from the SeaTac Airport.

If you are flying in on the day of the cruise (which I strongly recommend you don’t do), plan on getting a flight that lands at least 3 hours before boarding. This gives you time to get your luggage and get a ride to the cruise terminal.

Even if you are staying downtown, give yourself a little extra time to get to the ship. Better to arrive early than late! If you don’t have a rental car or your own vehicle, you’ll need a ride to the cruise port. This private shuttle service is the top-rated transportation company in Seattle. Be sure and reserve ahead! ⤵️

⭐️ Pier 91 is used by Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Celebrity, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean. If you have a rental car or are driving yourself, parking is available for $27 per day and includes a shuttle to the cruise terminal. This should be reserved ahead can be booked online at  Republic Parking Northwest .

Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66

This cruise terminal is located right downtown in the middle of all of the action. Nearby is Pike Street Market, the Seattle Wheel, the aquarium, shopping, and restaurants.

Bell Street Cruise Terminal is about 30 minutes drive from the airport. There is no public transportation from the airport to the terminal, so you’ll need to get a shuttle if you don’t have a car

General parking is available for $33* per day ($1 discount per day when parking is prepaid online). Book online at  Republic Parking Northwest ⭐️ Bell Street Cruise Terminal is used by Norweigan Cruise Lines and Oceania.

I love the size of the room and bathroom - the view in our room was great! Space needle, park and mountains. The staff are all very helpful and friendly

The staff were lovely -- personable and attentive.

I really liked the location of the property. It's not too far out from the city. Everything is a great distance to get to and from the hotel. Just below was Whole Foods, so it was convenient to get some snacks. The room was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to wake up the view of the city.

Always a fantastic place to stay. Dog friendly is the cherry on top.

It’s ideal to stay here as it’s in central location and city attractions are close by. Staff at Pan Pacific were super amicable and courteous. Their attention to detail is impeccable; from the moment you check in, to when they give you a warm towel for your hands and lastly, them placing a bottle of wine and macarons in your room. Such a great gesture that they would place the wine and sweets as we were celebrating our mom’s birthday. Quite impressed.

Always a great experience like no other Hotel. Very hospitable, convenient and kind. Beautiful views and super comfortable. We love tubs so this place is amazing.
