Erstmals seit 20 Jahren findet 2021 wieder eine Tour de Suisse der Frauen statt. SRF überträgt die beiden Etappen am 5. und 6. Juni live aus Frauenfeld. Ab dem 6. Juni sind die traditionelle Landesrundfahrt der Männer und die Magazinsendung «Veloclub» live im Programm.

Nach 20 Jahren ist es soweit: Die Schweizer Frauenrundfahrt kehrt in den Radsportkalender zurück. Die neu lancierte Tour de Suisse Women findet erstmals am Samstag und Sonntag, 5. und 6. Juni 2021, in Frauenfeld statt. Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen überträgt beide Etappen als Livestream auf srf.ch/sport und in der SRF Sport App.

The 2023 Tour de Suisse is underway as the build-up to the Tour de France gets in full swing this June alongside the recently concluded Critérium du Dauphiné.

It's the 86th edition of the week-long stage race running from June 11-18, which this year two time trials at either end as well as three hard mountain stages in the middle of the week.

The big names on show this week include world champion Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep), Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers), Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) and more.

How to watch Tour de Suisse live stream 2023 — schedule and start times

1097km long and 18,000 vertical metres over 8 days of pain

The last sizeable stage race before 'the big one', the Tour de Suisse offers a final chance for riders to fine tune their race form. After his Covid curtailed Giro, Remco Evenepoel will be keen to make use of the form he so carefully built for the Italian race and take home the win but will face stiff competition from the likes of Tom Pidcock, Juan Ayuso and Romain Bardet.

With the whole race still in shock following the death of Gino Mäder during stage 5 it was understandable that there was little impetus to race stage 7. Three teams left the race overnight along with many other riders too upset to continue, leaving those who signed on to ride tempo until the last climb. Muted hostilities were resumed here and fittingly it was world champion Remco Evenepole who broke away to ride solo to a symbolic and emotional victory, honouring the memory of a life lost too young.

This tragic edition of the Tour de Suisse will conclude with stage 8, the second individual time trial where riders will resume the race for the overall victory, each one carrying the memory of Gino with them, inspiring them to push harder around the 25.7km from St. Gallen to Abtwi.

Other big names lining up to get into the swing of things before the ‘Grande Boucle’ are the irrepressible Wout Van Aert and Eritrean sensation Biniam Girmay. Bookended by time trials – the first a 12.7km test around the monastery village of Einsiedeln and the second, on stage 8, a 25.7 km course from St. Gallen to Abtwil – this year's race has attracted top TT talent like Stefan Bissinger and Stefan Küng. 

In-between these flat stages, though, these heavier riders will face a whole world of pain as the race covers some of Switzerland’s most feared mountains. With a summit finish on stage 3 up the vicious ascent to Villars-sur-Ollon, the general classification battle will be well and truly taking shape and things only get harder. 

Stage 4 is another very lumpy affair but nothing compared to the Queen stage the following day. Stage 5 takes the riders over the legendary Furka Pass, the Oberalp and Albula to gain 4700m altitude over its 211km and it’s likely here is where the race will be won or lost.

Acht Etappen quer durch die Schweiz: Die Tour de Suisse ist traditionell im Juni für viele Fahrer einer der letzten Formtests für die im Juli anstehende Tour de France. 2023 findet die Schweiz-Rundfahrt der Männer vom 11. bis zum 18. Juni statt. Zudem fahren die Frauen vom 17. bis 20. Juni.

Auf welchem TV-Sender ist die Tour de Suisse 2023 heute zu sehen?

In Deutschland ist die Tour de Suisse 2023 der Männer nicht live im Fernsehen zu sehen. Es gibt lediglich Live-Streams. Anders in der Schweiz. Dort überträgt SRF 2 als deutschsprachiger Sender. Claude Jaggi, Marco Felder und Sven Montgomery kommentieren bei SRF zwei. Einer der drei ist jeweils als Motorrad-Reporter ganz nahe am Fahrerfeld unterwegs. An zwei Tagen ist dafür der Ex-Radsportler Fabian Cancellara vorgesehen. Zudem gibt es beim SRF den Veloclub mit Olivier Borer, in dem über die Etappen gesprochen wird. Neben SRF 2 läuft das Rennen auch bei RTS 2 in der französischen und RSI LA1/2 in der italienischen Schweiz.

In der Schweiz bieten SRF, RTS Sport und RSI Sport auch jeweils einen Live-Stream zu den Etappen an. In Deutschland können Radsportfans die Schweiz-Rundfahrt bei Discovery+ und GCN+ (über Bezahl-Abo) auf dem digitalen Wege ohne Werbeunterbrechung sehen.

Tour de Suisse der Frauen 2023 im TV und Live-Stream

In diesem Jahr findet vom 17. bis zum 20. Juni die dritte Austragung der Tour de Suisse Women statt. Anders als das Rennen der Männer sind die Damen auch in Deutschland live im Fernsehen zu sehen - zumindest teilweise. Eurosport überträgt die ersten beiden Etappen bei Eurosport 1, den Rest digital bei Discovery+ und GCN+ im Live-Stream. In der Schweiz wird das Rennen, das erstmalig zur UCI Women’s World Tour gehört, wie das der Männer bei SRF 2, RTS 2 und RSI LA2 im TV und mit entsprechenden digitalen Angeboten gezeigt.

«Natürlich wäre es schön, zu gewinnen», sagte Adam Yates am Tag vor dem Start der Tour de Romandie. Der 31-Jährige hatte die Tour im Vorjahr gewonnen und weiss deshalb, wie es sich anfühlt, in der Westschweiz zu triumphieren.

In diesem Jahr stehen die Vorzeichen allerdings nicht so gut. Im Februar stürzte Yates an der UAE-Tour und musste danach einige Wochen pausieren. «Ich muss immer noch etwas meine Form aufbauen, um auf ein hohes Level zu kommen», erklärte der Brite dann auch.

3 Wochen Pause

Gerade wegen seines Sturzes sei seine aktuelle Form auch nicht mit jener von vor einem Jahr vergleichbar. «Ich war drei Wochen nicht auf dem Fahrrad. Das war länger, als ich erwartet hatte», sagte Yates. Aber mit seinem Training sei er zufrieden, auch wenn er nicht die Vorbereitungszeit gehabt habe, die er sich gewünscht hätte.

Bei SRF können Sie von 23. bis 28. April sämtliche Etappen der 77. Ausgabe der Tour de Romandie live im Fernsehen oder in der Sport App mitverfolgen. Den Auftakt macht der Prolog in Payerne am Dienstag, ab 15:30 Uhr live auf SRF zwei. Claude Jaggi und Sven Montgomery kommentieren die Rennen.

Seinen Vorjahressieg zu wiederholen wird also schwierig. Konkurrenz könnte Yates auch aus dem eigenen Team bekommen. Der 10 Jahre jüngere Juan Ayuso fährt ebenfalls für Emirates, gewann im letzten Jahr eine Etappe an der Tour de Romandie und machte in diesem Jahr bereits mit dem Sieg an der Baskenland-Rundfahrt auf sich aufmerksam.

Die besseren Beine entscheiden

Einen Captain hat das Team nicht bestimmt. Sowohl Yates als auch Ayuso könnten um den Sieg fahren. «Wir schauen von Tag zu Tag. Wer auch immer dann die besseren Beine hat», sagte Yates. «Wir haben ein super starkes Team, fast jeder hat in der letzten Zeit gewonnen. Wir wollen einfach als Team gewinnen.»

Zu diesem Team gehört mit Jan Christen auch ein Schweizer. Vor wenigen Wochen gewann er sein erstes Rennen auf Profi-Stufe, nun greift er in der Romandie an. Ob Yates, Ayuso oder sogar Christen: Das Team Emirates ist auf jeden Fall gut aufgestellt.

Une édition très disputée, la première de Rodriguez et des Suisses discrets

Au niveau des résultats, Dorian Godon (Décathlon-AG2R) a été l'un des visages marquants de cette cuvée 2024. Le Français de 27 ans a levé les bras à deux reprises, tout d'abord à Fribourg lors de la 1re étape, avant de récidiver au Lignon au terme de la 5e étape, décrochant au passage le maillot orange du classement par points.

" La forme était bonne, je tournais autour depuis le début de saison et des fois il suffit d'un déclic. Je ne suis pas un pur sprinteur, c'est un travail d'équipe. L'équipe a super bien bossé pour moi ", s'est contenté de déclarer sobrement le Parisien après l'arrivée à Miguel Aquiso.

Un premier classement général pour Carlos Rodriguez

Vainqueur de sa première course par étape chez les professionnels, Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos) a de son côté confirmé l'adage qui veut que la Boucle romande ne sourie qu'à des cadors du peloton. L'Espagnol de 23 ans, qui s'est révélé au grand public l'an dernier sur le Tour de France en devançant les stars Tadej Pogacar et Jonas Vingegaard à Morzine, endosse cette saison le rôle de co-leader de son équipe.

Son succès en appelle assurément d'autres sur les grands rendez-vous. " C'est une fierté d'avoir remporté ce maillot jaune, le premier de ma carrière. Les grands tours sont à la fois un rêve et un objectif, et je vais continuer à rêver ", a expliqué l'Andalou au micro de Pierre Poullier.

Florian Lipowitz se révèle malgré Alexander Vlasov

La révélation de ce 77e Tour de Romandie se nomme Florian Lipowitz. L'Allemand de 23 ans a terminé 3e du classement général à 2 secondes de son leader Alexander Vlasov au sein de la formation Bora-Hansgrohe et 9 secondes de Carlos Rodriguez. Il est notamment passé à un vélo d'un immense coup d'éclat à Leysin, lorsqu'il a fondu dans les derniers mètres sur un Richard Carapaz (EF-Education) qui pensait avoir course gagnée. Mais, en jouant sa carte personnelle alors que son chef de file était esseulé derrière lui, Lipowitz a peut-être aussi prétérité les chances de succès final du Russe.

" La Bora est une équipe allemande. Là, ils tiennent peut-être une pépite qui a répondu présent à la fois sur le contre-la-montre et en montagne. Peut-être qu'il y a quelque chose à redire tactiquement au sein de sa formation, mais au niveau physique et athlétique, Lipowitz est la révélation de ce Tour ", a analysé Daniel Atienza, consultant pour la RTS, sur le plateau d'Autour du Tour.

Bilan contrasté pour les Suisses

Présents en nombre au départ (16) grâce à l'invitation de la formation Tudor et de Swiss Cycling, les Helvètes ne sont jamais vraiment parvenus à peser sur la course. L'absence de coureurs importants comme Stefan Küng (Groupama-FdJ), Stefan Bissegger (EF-Education) ou Marc Hirschi (UAE-Emirates) s'est inévitablement ressentie, tout comme le plateau particulièrement relevé qui s'est aligné cette année sur le Tour de Romandie. Alexandre Balmer (Swiss Cycling) est le seul Helvète à avoir réussi à se glisser dans une échappée, mais le Neuchâtelois de 23 ans a vite payé son début de saison tronqué par le manque de compétition.

Pas de quoi s'inquiéter si l'on en croit Daniel Atienza: " Si l'on regarde le top-10 de ce Tour de Romandie, on a 10 coureurs qui peuvent jour le top-10 d'un grand tour, voire mieux. C'était donc compliqué d'émerger avec ce plateau. Les Suisses ont fait avec leurs moyens. C'est un apprentissage et une manière pour eux de prendre de l'expérience pour briller lors des prochaines saisons ", a estimé l'ancien coureur, toujours sur le plateau d'Autour du Tour. Au classement général, le Jurassien Yannis Voisard (Tudor) termine le mieux classé avec une 21e place à 03'56 du vainqueur.

RTS Sport/btro

L'édition 2025 se tiendra une semaine plus tard

Comme à son habitude, Richard Chassot a dévoilé sur la RTS le parcours et les dates du prochain Tour de Romandie. Petite nouveauté, la Boucle romande se tiendra une semaine plus tard, soit du 29 avril au 4 mai. Le directeur de l'épreuve a révélé qu'il souhaitait ardemment faire passer le peloton par la ville de Bâle. " L'idée serait de fêter les 100 ans qu'aurait eu Jean Tinguely l'année prochaine, car cet artiste a beaucoup travaillé autour de la roue ".

Quant au tracé, il devrait contenir un prologue autour de Saint-Imier (BE) et des étapes en boucle à la Grande Béroche (NE) et à Cossonay (VD). Le classement général devrait se jouer entre une étape-reine se terminant une nouvelle fois à Thyon 2000 (comme en 2021 et 2023), et un contre-la-montre final à Genève.

Les bénévoles, une ressource indispensable

A l'image de tous les événements sportifs de Suisse, les bénévoles jouent un rôle prépondérant pour permettre au Tour de Romandie d'avoir lieu dans de bonnes conditions chaque année. La sécurité est notamment primordiale, que ce soit pour les coureurs, mais aussi pour toute l'organisation. A ce niveau-là, l'édition 2024 restera comme un grand cru selon Patrick Délétroz, qui est allé à la rencontre de Jean-Daniel Faucherre, chef de colonne au sein de la boucle romande depuis 21 ans.

• If you accredit several people (e.g. driver, camera team), you can enter your team in the “Staff” section and assign each person the appropriate role.
• vehicle incl. You can enter the license plate number in the driver’s profile. You can ignore the “Parking” option for the Tour de Suisse.
• Accredited media representatives will receive confirmation via email. Please bring this confirmation to the permanence. Here you will receive your personal badge.
• The accreditation stickers for vehicles (cars, motorcycles, etc.) are also available at the Permanence. Please note point 4 “Access on route”.
• The organizer is responsible for deciding whether to issue an accreditation. A media/photo ID does not automatically qualify for accreditation.
• The accreditation must be worn visibly.
• Without a valid accreditation, access to the corresponding zones will be denied without exception.
• Each accredited person is only allowed access to the zones shown on the accreditation.
• Each accredited person must follow the instructions of the Tour de Suisse staff.
• The Tour de Suisse organization and its employees have the right to refuse any accredited media representative access to all zones and/or withdraw their accreditation in the event of misconduct.
• The accreditation is not transferrable.

2. Filming permit for TV and online

As the host broadcaster of the Tour de Suisse, SRG SSR has the exclusive production rights in all accredited zones and produces a TV signal according to international standards. It is prohibited to make and distribute audiovisual recordings of the race and the award ceremony without the prior written consent of the rights holder SRG SSR. This applies in particular to the distribution of live or non-live videos from the race and the award ceremony via social media apps such as Periscope, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook and other online services.

Written enquiries:  Requests for a fee-based filming permit/permit must be obtained in writing from SRG SSR at least 72 hours before the start of the event/stage (  [email protected]  ).

The conditions agreed in the sports license agreement between SRG and the regional TV station apply to the regional TV stations. Online media can use the leaflet incl. Request conditions directly from SRG (  [email protected]  ).

Mixed zone:  After the filming permit/sublicense has been granted by SRG SSR, you may only film your own audiovisual recordings (interviews) in the designated mixed zone (physical access). Before the end of the award ceremony, no own pictures from the accredited zones may be shot.

Other accredited zone / target area:  Due to the tight production and spatial conditions, no own audiovisual recordings may be made and published from the other accredited zones/in the target area. These images (race, award ceremony, etc.) can only be purchased from SRG SSR (signal access – please apply to  [email protected]  ). When using SRF images, the source must be clearly visible (clearly visible SRF logo or “SRF images” fade-in).

International TV broadcasters  can purchase TdS racing images via a license agreement with Infront Sports & Media AG (  [email protected]  ) .

Access without a camera:  A print accreditation can be issued without a camera with an express declaration of waiver.

3. Arrival/Parking

Signposted media parking spaces are available at each stage location for accredited media professionals. Parking outside of the allocated parking spaces can lead to the loss of accreditation.

4. Access on route

Access to the route is only possible for specially marked vehicles. This must be requested in advance of the Tour de Suisse. A permit is only issued in special cases. Access to the route is possible with the instructions in point 1.5 described stickers is not possible.

5. Permanence

The permanence is located in the start and finish area of each stage. Here you have to pick up your accreditation. A limited number of spontaneous accreditations are possible. However, there is no entitlement; the accreditations reported in advance always have priority. The exact location of the permanance can be found in the Tour de Suisse Technical Guide. Attention: the permanence is closed 30 minutes before arrival and 30 minutes after arrival.

6. Media Center

There is a media center at the destination of each stage. The exact location is indicated by signs (near Permanence). For the accredited media workers there are workstations with free electricity and internet connection (WLAN). Type J sockets are usually installed in Switzerland. The Euro plug (type C) is compatible. For devices with other plugs you need a travel adapter.

TV broadcast:  The Tour de Suisse will be broadcast on a projector or television in the media center. The statistics for the current stage run on a second screen (source: Swiss Timing). There is no entitlement to receive other broadcasts.

Media conference:  After each stage, the daily media conference takes place in the media center with the winner of the day and any other participants. In exceptional situations, the media conference will be conducted via video from an external studio (distance to the finish area, pandemic protection, etc.). The timing of the balance sheet media conference will be communicated in the course of the Tour de Suisse as part of the daily stage bulletin.

Opening hours:  See detailed information in the Tour de Suisse Technical Guide. Attention: The opening times of Permanence and Media Center are not identical.

Catering:  During the opening hours, a simple catering offer is available for accredited media representatives.

7. Mixed zones at start and finish

The mixed zones at the start and finish of each stage are adjusted to the respective conditions (place, time, weather). The instructions of the security staff and the TdS organization must be followed.

8. Photographer and Cameraman Guidelines

All photographers and cameramen must wear the  official TdS photo vest  on the route as well as in the start and finish zones in addition to their personal badge and must be clearly visible. You will receive this together with your accreditation against a deposit. A photographer’s zone is marked behind the finish line of each stage. Photographers may only stay in this zone before and during the finish. The organizer is responsible for the exact allocation of space.

9. Official Information

Radiotour:  During the entire race, Radiotour can be reached on the free telephone number  +41 31 511 07 41  .

Live ticker:  During the race, the media team runs a live ticker on the website. The race events, including the time intervals, are continuously documented there.

Technical Guide:  In the official Technical Guide of the Tour de Suisse you will find all the information about the stages, teams and organization. The publication will be available on the website shortly before the Tour de Suisse.

Bulletin:  The upcoming stage bulletin will be emailed to all accredited participants every evening. There you will also find the location and address of the media center for the following day. If you have any questions, please email:  [email protected]  .

10. Sanctions

If the rules and instructions are not followed, the tour organization is entitled to withdraw the accreditation of the offending media representatives and to exclude them from the Tour de Suisse.
