After you’ve had your fill of beignets, strolled through spooky cemeteries and explored other highlights in New Orleans , slow down with a local swamp tour. New Orleans swamp tours offer beautiful scenery and the chance to spot alligators and other native wildlife. Plus, many of them offer transportation to and from the city.

Read on to discover the best New Orleans swamp tours by airboat, kayak, flat-bottomed boat and even zip line. All of the recommended tours either include transportation from the French Quarter and/or New Orleans hotels or offer it as an add-on service.

Best Airboat Tour: Airboat Adventures – Small Airboat Tour

Price: From $89 Duration: 2 hours

For a classic airboat swamp tour in New Orleans, choose Airboat Adventures. With this tour operator, you can expect interesting guides and multiple glimpses of alligators as you weave through 20,000-plus acres of cypress swamps. After your roughly two-hour airboat ride, take some time to explore the company's indoor facility, which houses Sugar, an albino gator.

While tours are available in both small (10 people) and large (30 people) boats, recent tourgoers recommend opting for a small boat tour, as the small airboats can access more remote corners of the swamp.

Pregnant women, children younger than 5 and people with back and neck injuries are not permitted to ride on the airboats. Pets, including service animals, are also prohibited due to the loud noise from the boat. The company provides ear protection, but you may want to bring your own if you are extra sensitive.

Transportation: Hotel pickup and dropoff is available for those staying at hotels in Greater New Orleans; the cost is $30 per person. If you'll be driving to the tour departure point, it's located at 5145 Fleming Park Road, Lafitte, LA 70067 .

Best Kayak Tour: New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours – Manchac Swamp Kayak Tour

Price: From $75 Duration: 2 hours

Novice kayakers will appreciate this paddle in Manchac Swamp, as it's especially suitable for beginners. During the tour, you'll wind your way through the swamp's calm waters and take a gander at the local wildlife.

For an even more memorable experience, take the early morning or evening tour to see the swamp bathed in warm light. Summer and early fall tours will give you the best chance for seeing alligators and turtles. Reviewers say you'll gain lots of insight not only about the area's ecology but also about local history.

Transportation: Transportation is available for an additional $25 per person. Shuttles depart from the Rampart Treehouse restaurant ( 740 N. Rampart St. ) downtown.

The company also runs tours of the Honey Island Swamp and a half-day kayak tour through the Shell Bank bayou.

Best Flat-bottomed Boat Tour: Cajun Encounters – Swamp Tour

Price: Adults from $59.95; kids from $38.75 Duration: 2 hours

Cajun Encounters' daily tour of the Honey Island Swamp takes place on a flat-bottomed boat. Each ride includes commentary from a friendly guide as you look for alligators, wild boar, owls and more. Tourists say the guides are informative and fun and highly recommend the tour, but caution there are many bugs.

Transportation: Hotel pickup and dropoff is included in the rates noted above; cheaper tickets are available for those who can drive to the tour location ( 55345 U.S. Route 90, Slidell, LA 70461 ).

Cajun Encounters also runs VIP tours (which have up to 10 to 12 passengers) as well as tours of the city.

Best New Orleans Swamp Tours

Price: Adults from $58; kids from $36 Duration: 2 hours

Participants say that Dr. Wagner's Honey Island Swamp Tours are perfect for groups of all ages, making sure to engage everyone including kids throughout the tour. Guides, who are natives of South Louisiana, narrate the two-hour tours with facts and stories about the area. During the journey, travelers may spot alligators, deer, osprey, hogs, turtles, herons and more along with the traditional cypress trees.

Transportation: Hotel pickup and dropoff is included in the rates listed above, though you can save on tickets by driving to the tour location ( 41490 Crawford Landing Road, Slidell, LA 70461 ).

Best for Comfort: Louisiana Tour Company – Swamp Boat Tour

Price: Adults from $55; kids from $35 Duration: 2 hours

From the experienced, knowledgeable guides to the amiable shuttle drivers, travelers consistently praise Louisiana Tour Company's swamp boat tour. They also appreciate that boats have cushioned seats, a roof and windows to help maximize comfort in all weather. The boats also have restrooms. During the almost two-hour tour, you'll see a Native American burial mound, a fishing village, numerous critters and beautiful swamplands.

Transportation: Transportation to and from your hotel is included in the rates noted above. However, cheaper tickets are available for those who can drive to the tour location ( 9706 Barataria Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072 ).

Louisiana Tour Company also operates airboat swamp tours.

Best Zip Line Tour: Zip NOLA – Swamp Zipline Tour

Price: From $91 Duration: 1.5 hours

See the swamps from above on this adrenaline-inducing tour. The 1.5-hour experience includes five different zip lines, a spiral tree staircase and two sky bridges for prime views of the swamps (and the creatures that lurk in them) below. Recent travelers highly recommend this tour, noting they felt safe throughout. Others note that it's good for beginners.

While there is no age minimum, children must weigh at least 45 pounds to zip line; the maximum weight limit is 280 pounds. This tour is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or suffers from back pain or serious medical conditions.

Transportation: Round-trip transportation from New Orleans is available for an additional $25 per person. Otherwise, you can drive to the attraction ( 301 Peavine Road, Laplace, LA 70068 ).

Frequently Asked Questions

You can expect to pay at least $50 per person for a swamp tour that includes transportation; if you have a rental car for your trip to New Orleans, you can save some coin by driving to the tour location. Fees also vary depending on the company and type of vessel used to explore the swamps.

If alligators are your top reason for trekking to the swamp, plan for a spring or summer tour, as alligators enter a state of brumation (a modified period of hibernation) during the cold weather months.

Perhaps the most famous swamp in New Orleans is Honey Island. For those interested in visiting this swamp exclusively, Honey Island Swamp Tours and Cajun Encounters are both great options.

You'll want to dress casually for your swamp tour in New Orleans – a T-shirt and shorts or lightweight pants is ideal. You'll also want to bring a light jacket in case you get chilly or it rains during your tour.

Some swamp tour boats (not airboats), such as those operated by the Louisiana Tour Company , offer bathrooms, while others do not. If this is important to you, be sure to double-check whether or not this amenity is offered when booking.

We're Seeing Stars! Here's What Our Guests Say:

My family and I (6 of us - adult children and parents) booked the private boat tour and had a fantastic time. Jake is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was also a pleasant and chilled out driver and host. We saw some gators, turtles and an array of beautiful birds. We didn’t see another boat during the entire 2 hours and felt very lucky/smug not to be on a big boat tour with all the other tourists. Highly recommend!

Our group was very small which made things very individualized. The plantation tour had been recommended to us so it was great to make a full day of it with the swamp kayaking.

We had a blast using Beyond the Bayou and would use them again in a second. Our tour guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and the trip was so much fun. Highly recommend!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip with our guide, Andrew. He was knowledgeable and interesting and our time on the bayou was one of the highlights of our trip. I really recommend taking this tour, it was great!

I definitely recommend booking this tour. The small group size made it really easy to interact with the guide, Andrew. Being a life-long resident of Louisiana, he is really knowledgeable about the terrain & wildlife - and he's very personable!

This was an awesome tour! No feeding the animals, just observing them. We saw turtles, snakes, alligators, and herons. Andrew was very knowledgeable and took the time to point out different wildlife and let us get a good look at everything. I'm looking forward to coming back in September!

Andrew, our guide, is locally born and raised with a great range of knowledge about the bayou environment. Full of information and committed to creating an eco-adventure that is meant to expose you to this wondrous place with the least impact as possible. Great morning in the bayou on a hot July day! Lots of flora and fauna to see!

Over 600 Five-Star Reviews on TripAdvisor!

I've done about five or six swamp tours since i've moved to LA but this was definitely the best, the guy leading was friendly and informative and I saw so much more wildlife than I ever saw on those loud motorboats.

What a great experience! The tour was so peaceful and majestic. We got to take part in something most Louisiana visitors never get to see. The guides were great guys who made the trip so easy and fun. They went beyond our expectation with helping with the gear and guiding the tour. I will definitely be back for round two!

Josh showed us a side of New Orleans we never expected. He was so knowledgable about the natural habitat and patient ( I am a beginner kayaker). We even saw an alligator!!! Highly recommended to round out the bustle of New Orleans with the surprising serenity that surrounds it.

Very knowledgeable and helpful guide. The trip was peaceful and the kayaking simple. The variety of birds was amazing.

For well over 150 years, the swamp and bayous of Louisiana have been our family's backyard. For three generations, we have been family-owned and operated. Our family and our captains are all childhood friends who have grown up making their living in the swamp. Just like the alligators, wild boar, raccoons, white-tailed deer, bald eagles, and many other bird species you’ll see on our tour, we are creatures of the swamp.

Swamp Tours and Beyond: Things to Do Outdoors in New Orleans

N ew Orleans is a destination that captivates its visitors in more ways than one. Renowned for its vibrant music, mouth-watering cuisine, and lively festivals, the city is an epicenter of cultural delight.

However, beyond the rhythmic beats of jazz music and the intoxicating aroma of Creole cooking lies an array of outdoor adventures that are equally thrilling and memorable.

From enchanting swamp tours to exploring beautiful city parks, the city and its surroundings captivate nature lovers and adrenaline junkies alike.

And, with the availability of a diverse range of vacation rentals in New Orleans, LA, you’ll find the perfect home base from which to embark on these exciting escapades.

Delving Into the Enchanting Swamps of New Orleans

The swamps and bayous surrounding New Orleans form a mesmerizing natural labyrinth steeped in a mysterious allure that draws visitors worldwide.

This rich tapestry of ecosystems, teeming with diverse wildlife, has deeply influenced the region’s history and folklore, forming an integral part of Louisiana’s cultural identity.

The Magic and Mystique of Guided Swamp Tours

There’s nothing quite like embarking on a guided swamp tour to appreciate these wild wetlands’ magnificence fully.

As your boat glides through the dense marshes, you will encounter an array of wildlife, such as alligators basking in the sun, turtles lazily swimming by, and snakes weaving their way through the water.

With their vibrant colors and beautiful songs, migratory birds punctuate the scene, providing perfect subjects for wildlife photography.

These tours are not just about sightseeing; they’re a journey through time and ecology. Your guide, often a local with deep-rooted connections to the region, will share fascinating insights into the swamp’s delicate ecosystem, shedding light on the intricate balance that allows such a diverse range of creatures to thrive here.

The swamps are also rich with history, dating back to the indigenous tribes that first inhabited these areas, through to the era of European colonization and the subsequent cultural evolution.

Hearing about the legends and lore of these swamps, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how these landscapes have shaped the people of Louisiana.

Embracing the Serenity of Kayaking Adventures

Consider a kayaking adventure if you’re looking for a more active and intimate connection with the swamp. This approach offers a slower pace, allowing you to navigate narrower waterways that larger tour boats can’t reach.

The whisper of your paddle slicing through the water, the gentle sway of Spanish moss hanging from the trees overhead, and the call of unseen creatures hidden in the marshes all combine to create a tranquil and immersive experience.

Kayaking also provides a sense of independence, allowing you to choose your own path through the wetlands. You can pause to watch a heron stalk its prey, follow the ripple trails of turtles submerging as you approach, or soak in the beauty and calmness of the surroundings.

While kayaking requires more effort than a guided tour boat, don’t worry if you’re a novice. Many providers offer beginner-friendly tours with basic training and safety measures, ensuring you’re well-prepared to navigate these enchanting waterways.

Embracing the Urban Green: City Parks as Havens of Nature in the Vibrant Jungle of New Orleans

Despite its bustling cityscape filled with lively music venues, scrumptious eateries, and vibrant festivals, New Orleans also offers peaceful refuges where nature thrives.

Nestled within the urban framework, the city’s parks offer a refreshing juxtaposition to the city’s vivacious character, providing locals and tourists with an opportunity to unwind, rejuvenate, and engage in a myriad of outdoor activities.

The Rich Tapestry of City Park

Renowned as one of the oldest urban parks in the United States, City Park is a sprawling 1,300-acre oasis filled with lush greenery, beautiful water bodies, and an abundance of outdoor attractions.

Whether you’re an early bird catching the morning rays or a night owl basking in the evening glow, the park’s picturesque walking and biking trails present a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in nature without leaving the city’s confines.

For art enthusiasts, City Park is a treasure trove. The park hosts the New Orleans Museum of Art and the adjacent Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, where you can admire a vast collection of artworks nestled amidst the greenery.

Families with children will find plenty to entertain young minds in City Park. The Storyland theme park, brimming with larger-than-life storybook sculptures, and the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, featuring a traditional wooden carousel, provide hours of fun.

Audubon Park: A Harmony of Leisure and Nature

Audubon Park, named after the celebrated naturalist and bird painter John James Audubon, is another green sanctuary in the heart of the city. The park’s 1.8-mile jogging path, encircling a serene lagoon, is a favorite among fitness enthusiasts looking for a scenic exercise backdrop.

Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts will appreciate the park’s diverse fauna, from the charming Muscovy ducks to the exotic bird species found in the famous Audubon Zoo located within the park’s premises.

Golf enthusiasts are not left out either. The Audubon Golf Course, with its well-manicured fairways nestled amidst ancient oak trees, provides a tranquil green space for a memorable golfing experience.

When planning your outdoor adventures, don’t forget to check out the myriad of vacation rentals in New Orleans.

These accommodations provide a home away from home, offering the comfort and convenience you need to relax and recharge after excursions. From chic city apartments to charming houses close to nature, these vacation rentals add an extra layer of enjoyment to your New Orleans experience.

Hook, Line, and Sinker: Fishing Adventures in the Diverse Waters of New Orleans

New Orleans is a bonafide paradise for fishing enthusiasts, boasting a wealth of freshwater and saltwater bodies.

The city and its surrounding areas offer a variety of fishing adventures that cater to every skill level – from beginners embarking on their first fishing experience to seasoned anglers looking for their next big catch.

Whether casting a line in the city’s verdant parks, embarking on a fishing charter in the Gulf of Mexico, or testing your skill in the marshes of Louisiana, the diverse aquatic life and picturesque views will surely provide a memorable fishing excursion.

Charter Fishing Trips: Experience the Excitement of the Open Sea

Charter fishing trips are an excellent option for those looking for a big catch and a taste of the open sea. These organized excursions venture out into the abundant waters of the Gulf of Mexico, providing a thrilling and rewarding experience for all involved.

  • Variety of Options: You can choose from several charter fishing trips depending on your schedule and interest. Options range from half-day journeys for those with limited time to full-day and overnight adventures for the committed angler.
  • Broad Spectrum of Species: These trips offer the opportunity to catch many fish species. Common catches include redfish, speckled trout, and flounder, although, with some luck and skill, you might reel in a less common species!
  • Expert Guidance: Most charter fishing trips are led by experienced guides. Their knowledge of the best fishing spots and techniques can significantly enhance your fishing experience and improve your chances of a successful catch.

Fly Fishing: An Engaging Challenge Amidst Louisiana’s Marshes

If you’re seeking a unique and exhilarating challenge, consider a fly fishing excursion in the marshes of Louisiana. Fly fishing offers a different spin on the traditional fishing experience, requiring a blend of skill, patience, and precision.

  • A Unique Challenge: Fly fishing is a finesse-driven sport that challenges anglers to skillfully cast their line with a lightweight lure to mimic natural prey movements. This technique can be challenging and rewarding, particularly when you feel the tug of a successful catch!
  • Expert Instruction: If you’re new to fly fishing, there’s no need to worry. Local guides offer comprehensive instruction and equipment rentals to help you get started. They will provide all the necessary gear and teach you the basics of casting, line management, and retrieval techniques.
  • Diverse Ecosystem: Fly fishing in Louisiana’s marshes allows you to immerse yourself in a rich and diverse ecosystem. As you hone your skills, you’ll be surrounded by stunning landscapes and an array of wildlife, adding an element of natural exploration to your fishing adventure.

Final Remarks

Venturing into the enchanting swamps of New Orleans transports you into a unique ecosystem rich with biodiversity and cultural history. Here, you can traverse the serene waterways on a guided tour, listen to stories of local folklore, or paddle your own kayak, taking in the beauty at your own pace.

The city’s expansive green spaces, such as City Park and Audubon Park, offer a refreshing slice of nature amid the urban landscape. Whether you’re jogging along scenic trails, picnicking under age-old trees, or exploring art installations, these parks present a myriad of ways to unwind and connect with nature.

For those with a love for angling, New Orleans’ vast aquatic environments provide an angler’s paradise. Charter fishing trips take you on exhilarating open sea adventures, while fly fishing in Louisiana’s marshes offers a unique and rewarding challenge.

Head To This Surprising City For An Unforgettable Family Vacation

Let the good, family-friendly times roll.

Cheap Thrills

SeanPavonePhoto/Getty

When I told friends that my husband and I were taking our eight-year-old son with us to New Orleans, I got a few skeptical looks. “Planning to take him to Bourbon Street?” one person joked. I had been to New Orleans on numerous adult trips—and always had an unforgettable time—but I had never been there with a kid before. Were we making a mistake?

The answer: Absolutely not. New Orleans is a surprisingly great travel destination for all ages, if you do some advance planning (and steer clear of Bourbon Street). Depending on your interests and the age of your children, there are more than enough kid-friendly activities in and around the city to fill a weekend, or even a week. Plus, there are few places in the United States that are as culturally rich as New Orleans, which is a great reason to bring your kids there.

Here are a few of our favorite stops, as well as suggestions and tips for a super fun, kid-approved trip to the Crescent City.

You could easily spend a whole day at this beautiful 1,300 acre park , and we almost did. It is home to a botanical garden, art museum, and a children’s museum, and that’s just for starters. Younger kids will love Storyland, a playground filled with sculptures of characters from famous stories, like Mother Goose and Captain Hook. Carousel Gardens, a small-scale amusement park with 18 old-fashioned rides, will delight everyone in the family. (Call ahead to make sure the park is open; it was closed on the day we visited). Play 36 holes of mini golf at City Putt. Or rent a bike, four-wheel vehicle (called surreys), boat, or a gondola at the Big Lake. We took a swan boat out for a spin and enjoyed the cool breeze off the water.

If you have your heart set on beignets at Cafe Du Monde, the location at City Park is far less crowded than the one in the French Quarter.

Audubon Parks

More than just a single park, this area includes multiple green spaces, several playgrounds, golf and tennis courts, horse stables, a planetarium, the zoo, and more.

Crescent Park

It may be on the smaller side, but this green space along the Mississippi River makes up for it with lovely waterfront views. With plenty of trails and gardens, this is a great place to go if you need a break from the city and a little time in nature.

Audubon Aquarium/Digital Roux Photography LLC

Audubon Museums

Nature-lovers have plenty of museums to choose from in New Orleans, namely the Audubon Zoo , Aquarium , and Insectarium . The zoo has been voted one of the best in the nation, and it offers much more than the usual exhibits: a waterpark called Cool Zoo, swamp habitat, jaguar jungle, playground, train ride, and an array of animal encounters you can add to your ticket price. The aquarium is also impressive, with 250 species, including sharks, jellyfish, penguins, and a rainforest complete with a sloth. The Insectarium, the newest addition, showcases species much smaller in size, but equally amazing. If you have time to visit all three, you can purchase combo tickets at a discounted price.

Louisiana Children's Museum

This fun, interactive, hands-on children’s museum has activities for all ages (children 12 months and under are free), but it is ideal for kids under 10. There are dedicated spaces for children 4 years and younger, as well as experiences relating to nature, food, STEM, and art.

Mardi Gras World

While the excitement of the annual parade might be overwhelming for smaller children, kids of all ages (and adults) will love getting a close-up look at magnificent Mardi Gras floats stored in this enormous building. Self-guided tours at Mardi Gras World are available seven days a week. In addition to old and new creations, you might even get to see artists at work.

Mardi Gras World is located in the Central Business District, near the convention center. If this is out of the way, there is a complimentary shuttle service with 10 stops if you are taking a tour.

The National WWII Museum

Highly recommended by locals and visitors, this innovative museum offers an important look back at history through artifacts (including tanks and planes), a 4D theater, 360-degree galleries, a submarine experience, and more. Older children and teenagers will likely get the most out of this museum, but kids of all ages will take away something from a visit to this powerful place.

New Orleans Museum of Art

On our trip to City Park, we spent several hours completely absorbed by this fantastic, wide-ranging museum , which includes work by big names like Degas, Picasso, and Miro, as well as a large collection of African, Native American, and Japanese art. Even if your children aren’t typically interested in art, they will love exploring the beautiful sculpture gardens surrounding the museum, where a wide range of works are nestled between ancient live oak trees and two lagoons.

Camille Barnett

Preservation Hall

This legendary French Quarter jazz venue (one of the few all-ages music halls in the city) offers matinee performances on weekends that are perfect for families. There are concerts seven days a week, and no matter who is on the bill that day, it’s worth checking out.

This hands-on, very visual attraction is made for the Instagram age, so it will go over well with older kids and teenagers, the entire family will have fun here too. The name stands for “joy-art-music” and includes 17 exhibits involving local artists that celebrate “the iconic art, music, food, and theatrics of New Orleans.”

Vue Orleans

Music is just one component of Vue Orleans, an experience that tells the story of New Orleans through interactive exhibits on its history, architecture, culture, food, and more. It’s located atop the Four Seasons Hotel and has a 34th floor observation deck, so admission also comes with an incredible view of the city.

Courtesy of Hansen's Sno-Bliz

Hansen's Sno-Bliz

No matter how long the line is at Hansen’s , the snow-like shaved ice and punchy homemade syrups are worth the wait. On a hot day, a snoball is essential in New Orleans, and this family-run, 85-year-old business makes the best ones in town, and always with a smile.

With its colorfully painted houses, flowering porch displays, and gorgeous old oak trees, just taking in the scenery in New Orleans is a fun activity. Especially when you’re doing it via a streetcar . And it’s an inexpensive way to get around the city when everyone’s feet need a rest. Currently, fares are $1.25 per ride for adults, 0.50 for kids from five to 12th grade, and 0.40 for seniors and riders with disabilities.

Through the transit authority's Le Pass app , you can buy passes for the streetcar (as well as the bus and ferry) on your phone, which is much easier than having exact change.

Free concerts

You’ll hear music almost everywhere you go in New Orleans, and much of it is free (although gratuities are appreciated). Historic Jackson Square is a hotspot for performers of all kinds, and Congo Square has Sunday afternoon drumming and music. The New Orleans Jazz Museum , has a free concert series in its performance center on Friday afternoons; tickets are first come, first served.

French Market

This area is very crowded, and very touristy, but it’s still worth checking out for souvenirs from the flea market, locally-made art and crafts, and edible finds from the farmers’ market.

DFS Dish: Expect ownership onslaught around Will Zalatoris, Sahith Theegala combo at Zurich Classic

Golfbet News

Change Text Size

Team golf returns to the PGA TOUR this week with the eighth two-man edition of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Hosted at TPC Louisiana, the Zurich Classic welcomes 80 teams of two to dissect the swamp just outside New Orleans. Beginning with the 2017 tournament, two-man teams have played Four-balls (best ball) and Foursomes (alternate shot) to determine the champion.

DraftKings – Top of the Board

Both ranking inside the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele ($11,200) are the duo to defeat again. The 2022 champions shared fourth place last year in defense and tied more records. After setting the Four-balls mark of 59 in Round 1 in 2022, they equaled the Foursomes total of 63 last year. With Cantlay picking up his annual podium finish last week at Harbour Town and Schauffele cashing Top 25s for breakfast, it’s either fade or follow.

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry ($10,700) pair up for the first time in New Orleans. The Florida neighbors and Ryder Cup teammates will be looking to push each other over the finish line for a much-needed victory in both camps. The ability to paint the sprinkler line and rack up GIR will be the point of separation. The heat from the putters will determine their level of contention.

Overvalued or undervalued?

The Canadian club of Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith ($9,500) have taken different paths to get here. Conners has not played this event since 2019, while Pendrith cashed T13 with Michael Gligic last season. Big hitters off the tee, Pendrith is the putting savant of the bunch. Forming the chemistry and playing alternate shot from opposite ends of the SG: Approach spectrum will be interesting. I’ll take the runners-up from last year instead.

The pairing of Billy Horschel and Tyson Alexander ($8,900) would have provided more value if the two-time champ had calmly missed the cut last weekend in Punta Cana. Tossing in his affinity for TPC Louisiana with his red-hot week in the Dominican Republic, these two Gators in the swamp are not sneaking up on anyone.

Taylor Moore and Matt NeSmith ($7,700) are making their third appearance together and have never finished outside of T4. Moore is rattling off made cuts for fun, but NeSmith has had a quiet spring. The partnership should rekindle the annual fire.

If Danish twins Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard ($9,100) are too rich for your lineup, head to Texas for twins Parker and Pierceson Coody ($6,660). Coming off a very solid week in the Dominican Republic, Parker secured his first top-10 payday with T6, while Pierceson hit the top 20 with a share of 18 th place.

Makers or breakers

With the Presidents Cup heading to Royal Montreal in September, Canadians Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin ($9,200) will probably not be playing for the last time together in 2024. Returning as the runner-up duo from their first-time coupling last year, the Canadians posted 28-under – a total that would have won five of prior seven editions. Obviously not distracted by the NHL playoffs or the format, Taylor picked up his second top-10 in four starts with two different partners, while Hadwin secured his first top-10 finish. Taylor is the only winner this season on TOUR of the teams listed above. Hadwin has taken home T6 or better money three times in 2024 but has not found the top-three podium.

I expect an onslaught of ownership this week for Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris ($10,300) from the top end. Zalatoris shared fourth here with Nick Hardy in 2022 before missing last year through injury. Theegala joins the party after cashing second at RBC Heritage last week, while Zalatoris has hit the top 10 in three of his last six. Young and fun, I’d expect a pile of birdies circled from this duo.

The Sea Island duo of Davis Thompson and Andrew Novak ($8,100) should be flying well under the radar. Cashing six of eight with four in the top 25, Thompson joins Novak in the middle of a career-best year on TOUR. A run of three consecutive events in the top 10 was halted by a missed cut at THE PLAYERS. Rebounding nicely, he’s made the weekend in his last three, including T17 at Valspar.

Playing for your country can be a powerful motivator. The Presidents Cup International team is welcoming auditions for the September event at Royal Montreal. The Taiwanese duo Kevin Yu and C.T. Pan ($7,800) know they can provide a way for Captain Mike Weir to notice them this week.

Here’s a look at how I would devise a six-team roster this week while staying below the $50,000 salary cap offered for DraftKings contests:

  • Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris ($10,300)
  • Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin ($9,200)
  • Davis Thompson and Andrew Novak ($8,100)
  • Kevin Yu and C.T. Pan ($7,800)
  • Chandler Phillips and Jacob Bridgeman ($7,400)
  • Alex Smalley and Matti Schmid ($7,200)

This is a great week to have fun, take some chances, and watch some new pairings develop! Good luck!
