A small luxury guest house with refined simplicity, la maison jules is set in a charming 19th century  mansion,  with gardens  in the heart of the city of tours, france..

Straight out of a novel from Balzac, the mansion was transformed during the spring of 2012 into a luxury bed and breakfast in the city center of Tours.

Capital of the Loire valley and Touraine, Tours is one of the “must see” places of this cultural region, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2000 …

A truly central location, in the historic cathedral district and only a short walk from the central station.

In the style of a small boutique hotel, the mansion located in the rue Jules Simon and was named after Jules Simon, a French philosopher and statesman of the 19th century.

Tuff walls, slate roof, porch overlooking a beautiful courtyard garden with trees, our bed and breakfast is in perfect harmony with the architectural heritage of the Loire Valley.

Entirely renovated, la Maison Jules offers a peaceful haven in the heart of the town of Tours, combining the elegance of its era and contemporary comfort. For those  seeking the comfort and charm of a  luxury bed and breakfast in Tours  city center, la Maison Jules is open every day, all year round.

On the ground floor, guests are welcome to relax in the living room with its large fireplace and comfortable seats and sofa. The dining room is decorated in a warm and modern style; on its large table, guests and families will share their breakfast together. It is also possible to have breakfast at one of the separate tables in the living room, on  the outdoor terrace  or in  the garden.  On the first floor, guests may enjoy the comfort and calm of the library.

The house has five guest rooms, all individually decorated and distributed over two floors, accessed by an antique staircase.

The two floors of the guest house are accessed by a beautiful 19 th century staircase.

To celebrate the remarkable men who lived in Touraine, we have given one of their name to each of the guest house rooms :  Honore , Gatien , Gregoire ,   Leonardo and Martin .

Five guest rooms that pay a tribute to the city of Tours and the Loire Valley.

All rooms were re-decorated with the idea of preserving  the sense of a family home  while instilling a touch of modernity and design, mixing the latest materials and equipment with antique furniture.

All the rooms of our bed and breakfast are beautifully furnished and  decorated in unique styles , all with en-suite bathrooms and large walk-in showers or bath.

• Room Martin

On the first floor on the garden side, this spacious, quiet and luminous room bears the name of the most illustrious of the Saints who have marked the history of Tours.

Room Léonard

On the first floor, and a beautiful double exposure, this room boasts a large bathroom in a boudoir spirit . It owes its name to the Italian genius Leonardo Da Vinci who ended his life at Clos Lucé d’Amboise, a few miles from Tours.

Room Grégoire

Located on the second floor, beautiful in its attic style, this room is named after Gregory, bishop of Tours and author of the famous story of the Soissons vase.

• Room Gatien

On the first floor, this room celebrates the first bishop of Tours who gave his name to the cathedral of Tours, located a few minutes walk from the house.

Rooms honoré

On the second floor of the house, two adjacent bedrooms in a stylish and colorful style. Honor to the art of writing, these rooms bear the name of Balzac, who cherished the Loire valley, also known as the garden of France .
