Online sales led the recovery, as 66% of Canadian adults traveled for leisure over the past year. Going forward, most plan to maintain their current travel lifestyle, but lingering economic concerns and other factors will likely keep market growth in the single-digit range for the next few years.

Fall 2022 Tourism Outlook

Newfoundland and Labrador

Latest Outlook Indicates Full Recovery for Canada’s Tourism Industry as Early as 2024 - One Year Earlier than Previously Forecast

Domestic tourism continues to lead the recovery with spending set to reach 2019 levels by 2023

Vancouver, BC, November 22, 2022 : Today, Destination Canada published its Fall Tourism Outlook which forecasts that despite ongoing challenges, the recovery trajectory for Canada’s tourism sector is strengthening, bolstered by the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions and resilience in travel demand. Leisure travel is now expected to recover to 2019 levels by 2024, considered a remarkable feat, one year earlier than previously forecasted in Spring 2022. Download the Fall Tourism Outlook here .

Domestic tourism will continue to lead the sector’s recovery with strong spending providing a foundation for brisk recovery to 2019 levels. Domestic travel market spending is expected to reach 92% of 2019 levels by the end of 2022 and fully recover in 2023.

The recovery of the US market, which is Canada’s biggest opportunity, is poised to accelerate in 2023, with spending reaching 91% of 2019 levels as lifted border restrictions and a strong US dollar encourage recovery. In 2024, spending by US travellers in Canada is expected to reach 112% of 2019 levels.

Visits from the US are projected to reach 82% of 2019 levels in 2023 and fully recover in 2024.

International overnight arrivals reached 61% of 2019 levels over the summer months of 2022. Tourist expenditures and international arrivals are set to return to a long-term growth trend by 2026.

“This accelerated forecast is the recovery signal we have all been working to achieve. Restarting our industry has been hard on everyone and we still have a long way to go. Over the summer months of 2022, overnight international arrivals reached only 61% of 2019 levels. But the future looks very promising, if we are able to fully capitalize on it,” says Marsha Walden, President and Chief Executive Officer, Destination Canada. “Globally, pent-up demand for travel remains very strong, but we know travellers have many, many choices for places to go. We must ensure Canada becomes a more competitive destination, while also rethinking our approach to tourism to maximize the socio-cultural, economic and environmental benefits the industry can bring to all of Canada.”

This latest forecast also includes an extended model looking at the decade ahead as far as 2030. If Canada’s tourism sector continues on the current forecasted trajectory, it has the potential to bring in more than $142 billion dollars in 2030 - a 35% growth in just over a decade. This bullish 2030 forecast requires the competitive fundamentals to be in place.

“Every single person that works in the tourism industry is helping accelerate the sector’s recovery in a true Team Canada effort,” says The Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance. “The opportunity ahead for this sector, the businesses and people that work in it is immeasurable. Our Federal Tourism Growth Strategy will help set the course for the future of tourism in Canada, creating a clear path forward to drive growth, investment and stability in this valuable sector.”

Key Takeaways

  • Full recovery of tourism spending in Canada is expected in 2024. However, in inflation-adjusted terms, real Canadian tourism spending will not fully recover to 2019 levels until 2026.
  • Our forecast has shifted since the spring, and we can now optimistically predict that – with the right conditions in place – Canada is likely to hit closer to the upside of a $129B to $147B range in 2030.
  • Domestic travel market spending is recovering briskly and is expected to reach 92% of 2019 levels in 2022 and fully recover (in nominal terms) in 2023.
  • The US market is poised to accelerate in 2023, with spending reaching 91% of 2019 levels as lifted border restrictions and a strong US dollar encourage recovery. Visits from the US will reach 82% of 2019 levels in 2023 and fully recover in 2024.
  • Overseas markets are expected to recover more slowly with the effects of economic recession (Europe), travel restrictions (China), and weak travel sentiment (Asia) prolonged into 2023. Overseas travel to Canada will recover modestly to 64% of 2019 volumes in 2023 and will approach recovery in 2025 with 95% of 2019 volumes. Full recovery of overseas visits to Canada will occur in 2026.
  • Asian markets, including China, Japan, and South Korea will remain sluggish through 2023 due to an entrenched reluctance to travel long-haul. However, in the long-term China will outpace other international markets, with visitation reaching 134% of 2019 levels in 2030.
  • While downside risks to the forecast are notable, Canada is well-positioned to continue its recovery due to a resilient domestic market, competitive regional position, and pent-up demand for both leisure and business travel.

Canada’s Tourism Sector by the Numbers

  • One in 10 Canadian jobs is tied to tourism (9.8%).
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises make up 99 per cent of businesses in Canada’s tourism sector, significantly contributing to Canadian livelihoods.
  • In 2019, Tourism directly contributed to more jobs (696,000 direct jobs) across Canada than jobs directly generated by agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, quarrying, oil and gas industries combined (620,140 direct jobs).
  • Tourism also added $45.2 billion to Canada’s GDP in 2019, a contribution that was on par with the GDP from agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting combined.

Vancouver Travel Guide

travel marketplace vancouver 2022

There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to Vancouver, Canada. It's too cold, it rains all the time, it gets so dark, etc. Not only are these preconceived notions misguided, Vancouver actually has some of the most temperate weather in the entire country, making it an ideal destination to play, explore, and have adventures inside and out.

Once you realize you're not going to be swept away by freezing rain year-round, you can begin digging into the wide variety of things to see, do, eat, and explore. Canada's third largest city is a multicultural hub with stunning architecture that sits on the Strait of Georgia and is surrounded by epic mountains and lush green forests.

Because of its natural beauty, the city is set up for outdoor adventurers, whether cruising the streets of one of the largest Chinatowns in the world, riding bikes along the city's seawall, or hiking in nearby woodlands for some of the freshest air on earth.

Vancouver is a city that is proud of its diversity, its indigenous history, and its tolerance. Davie Village is a neighborhood in the city's West End where a thriving LGBTQ+ community comes out to play, while the city also boasts the third-largest urban Indigenous population in all of Canada.

So, throw your mistaken beliefs out the window and think about booking a ticket to Canada's western hub, you will not regret it.

Pacific Standard Time

Best Time to Go

There aren't any bad times to go to Vancouver, but because it's a northern city, there are reasons for every season. The summer months draw in the most tourists and boast the longest daylight hours, but the winter (which is surprisingly mild) is the least crowded time of year and has sprouting trees and flowers as early as February. Keep in mind that the rainiest months are from November to March, which leaves the month of September as the most idyllic time with changing leaves, cooling temps, and dry skies to get outside.

If you're into whale watching, April through November is prime time. For events and festivals, think about Chinese New Year, which lands between January and February, the Vancouver Marathon in May, Vancouver International Jazz Festival in June, or the Vancouver Pride Parade in July or August.

Things to Know

One of the best things about Vancouver is how easy it is to get around. Not only is the city incredibly walkable and bike-able, but there is also a plethora of public transit options. Don't bother renting a car here as hotel parking is pricey and taxis, buses, ferries, trains, and ride-share apps make moving around a cinch. Check out this handy transit guide by the Vancouver Tourism Board.

Another great item to note about Vancouver is that the city boasts 550 separate locations with free WiFi service. Look for the #VanWifi public network to connect in case you need touring advice at your fingertips. Also, if you're visiting Vancouver from the United States, you do not need an adapter for your electronics as all of Canada runs on standard 120 V.

As far as the geography of the city, Vancouver is broken up into neighborhoods. Popular hoods include the Downtown Centre, which is in the middle of the city; Gastown, which is known as the historic quarter filled with cobblestoned streets and trendy restaurants; Kitsilano for the beach and water enthusiasts; Yaletown for high-end shopping and eating; Chinatown for great eats and sites; and the West End, which leads outdoor lovers to the expansive Stanley Park.

Lastly, Vancouver is considered one of the safest cities in the world. But like all major metropolises, mind your belongings — especially in the highest touristy areas of the city.

How to Get Around

Trains: Vancouver SkyTrain is one of the most-efficient means of getting around the city. There are three lines: the Expo Line with four downtown stations, including Chinatown and the Waterfront; the Canada Line, which can take you to and from the airport, in addition to Vancouver City Centre and Yaletown; and the Millennium Line that links with the Westcoast Express commuter train. Depending on where you're going, fares run from $1.95 to $5.75.

Buses: Vancouver has an extensive bus system that typically runs from 5am to 1am with stops in every major neighborhood and beyond. Vancouver's TransLink website has a simple plug and play that can help you get to wherever you need to go and includes fare prices.

Taxis: If you plan on taking a taxi from the airport, the fares will change depending on the zone of your destination. Airport rates range from $20-$40. All taxis are regulated in the city and run on meters.

Ferries: Connecting downtown Vancouver with the North Shore is the SeaBus, a passenger-only ferry that departs every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night. SeaBus fares are similar to SkyTrain fares.

Car service: When you arrive at the Vancouver International Airport, you have a bevy of transportation options. One of the most comfortable rides is hailing a luxury vehicle to whisk you into the city in style. There are officially-licensed limousine services from the airport that do not require any advanced bookings.

Neighborhoods to Know

Coal Harbour : Sitting on the north side of central Vancouver, Coal Harbour is a sleepy narrow neighborhood that is bordered by Canada Place to the east and Stanley Park to the west. Canada Place is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre that attracts international expositions. One of the main attractions of the neighborhood is the waterfront views where pedestrians can stroll and peer out into Vancouver Harbour while browsing small shops and eating at quaint cafés.

Chinatown : Vancouver's Chinatown dates back to the late 1800s and is considered a National Historic Site in Canada. One of the largest Chinatowns in the world, the central Vancouver neighborhood is filled with incredible Chinese restaurants and bakeries, apothecary shops, Asian markets, and more. A must-stop is the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, which is a Ming Dynasty style garden, and plays host to festivals, concerts, and educational activities.

Davie Village : Vancouver has an incredibly diverse and thriving LGBTQ+ community, and Davie Village is a stretch of streets where you'll find rainbow-colored flags flying with pride. You'll know you're in the right place when you step over the vibrant rainbow crosswalk that leads to a bevy of great restaurants and cafés during the day and buzzing bars and clubs at night.

Gastown : For lovers of historic areas, the cobblestoned streets of Gastown are the place to be. The neighborhood dates back to 1867 and features buildings with classic Victorian architecture and restaurants that are a foodie's dream. Instagrammers might want to take a picture in front of Gastown's most famous landmark, an antique clock that's partially powered by steam.

Granville Island : Technically not an island (it is bordered by water on three sides), Granville Island is a short ferry ride or bridge drive across False Creek on the southwest side of town. Once there, a must-stop attraction is the Granville Island Public Market where vendors hawk every type of local food imaginable. Around the market are theaters, galleries, and waterfront restaurants and breweries.

Kitsilano : Across the water to the west, Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's bigger neighborhoods. Within its confines includes West 4th Avenue, which is one of the best shopping streets in the city, the Kitsilano Beach, Vancouver's Greektown, and lots of green space for joggers, bikers, and lazy weekend hangouts. Kitsilano was once considered the Haight-Ashbury of Vancouver and its hippy roots can still be seen with loads of healthy vegan restaurants and wellness shops. It's also the birthplace of famed clothing brand Lululemon.

West End : The West End is the largest neighborhood on the peninsula, encompassing Davie Village, and is bordered by Stanley Park on the northwest, and Nelson Park and Robson Square to the southeast. Within the area is the Vancouver Art Gallery, the shopping Meccas of Robson and Alberni Streets, and multiple beaches. One of the more popular attractions is biking the Stanley Park Seawall that hugs the west side of the neighborhood.

Yaletown : This tony neighborhood is home to some of the nicest restaurants in the city alongside chic boutiques and luscious green space. To the southeast is BC Place, Vancouver's largest sports complex for soccer and football matches, as well as mega concert performances. The parks along the waterfront draw in locals and tourists alike.

Summer is peak tourism season with the least amount of rain and long sunny days that are rarely unbearably hot. Winters are milder than you'd expect for a Canadian city, but you'll encounter more rain from November to March. Shoulder seasons of spring and fall feature stunning blooms and changing leaves.

The following are average Fahrenheit lows and highs by month. January: 37°F to 44°F February: 38°F to 47°F March: 40°F to 51°F April: 44°F to 56°F May: 49°F to 63°F June: 54°F to 67°F July: 58°F to 72°F August: 58°F to 72°F September: 53°F to 66°F October: 47°F to 57°F November: 41°F to 49°F December: 37°F to 44°F

Apps to Download

17 Happening Holiday Markets and Artisan Fairs in and Around Vancouver

by Inside Vancouver in Family Friendly , Shop on November 10, 2022

travel marketplace vancouver 2022

Give yourself plenty of time to peruse the vendors at the Vancouver Christmas Market. PHOTO CREDIT: Vancouver Christmas Market.

Online Christmas shopping isn’t nearly as much fun as browsing independent vendor stands––and enjoying the warmly festive vibe––at a well-curated local holiday market. And they’re always a great way to find brilliantly original pressies for absolutely everyone on your gift list.

Researching my Vancouver Christmas Guide website this year––we’re now in our sixth season––I discovered that Metro Vancouver is crammed like a bulging Yuletide stocking with a massive array of enticing festive fairs and markets.

Some are large and well known. Others are much smaller but just as rewarding. The trick is to know when and where they are, and to plan your shopping excursions accordingly. Luckily, we’ve made it easier for you with a handy round-up of some of our 2022 favourites. Need more info? Keep tabs on our ever-changing Events page for updates, giveaways and more.

The Famous Ones

The wildly popular Vancouver Christmas Market at downtown’s Jack Poole Plaza isn’t just about shopping. Running from November 12 to December 24, this twinkling annual attraction includes a carousel, selfie-ready illuminations and lots of tasty food stands. But we particularly love exploring the dozens of little wooden vendor huts––look out for honey, craft cider and traditional German Christmas ornaments this year.

Also save plenty of perusing time for the return of Yaletown’s Portobello West Annual Roundhouse Holiday Market . It’s on November 26 and 27 this year, and you can expect a cleverly-curated array of 60+ regional vendors––with everything from jewellery to skincare and from fashion to gourmet treats on the tables.

The giant Dunbar Holiday Craft Fair is also back for its 38th edition on November 26. Live entertainment and more than 140 vendors lure the crowds here––arrive early to avoid the crush. And if you’re keen to browse in opulent splendour, the University Women’s Club of Vancouver will be opening the doors of its festively decorated Shaughnessy mansion for Hycroft for the Holidays . Running for three days from November 18, there will be 40 stands here.

Contemporary Artisans

Vancouverites are a highly crafty bunch, with countless artisan markets staged around the city throughout the year. But many of these events operate their biggest and best happenings during the holidays––and they’re typically stocked with a huge and hip selection of unique pressie possibilities.

Consider the weekend-long Got Craft? Holiday Market at the Croatian Cultural Centre. Running from November 19, it features 90 vendors, food trucks and a special selection of junior craft entrepreneurs selling their clever creations. Can’t make those dates? Head to the PNE Forum between December 7 and 11 for the 265-booth Make It! Show ––the perfect place to polish off your gift-buying a couple of weeks before the big day.

Also back for 2022 is the Eastside Flea at the Eastside Studios Building on Malkin Avenue. Arguably Vancouver’s hippest market, they’re staging three weekends of holiday events from December 3 onwards. You’ll find locally made items, vintage goods and a party-like atmosphere complete with music and food trucks.

Keen to keep shopping? Consider the holiday editions of Made in the 604 ––artisan-forward pop-ups running at Heritage Hall on Main Street and at North Vancouver’s Pipe Shop––see their website for dates. Alternatively, three Crafty Affaire markets will also be running in Vancouver, Richmond and South Surrey this year––visit their website for details.

Hidden Gems

There are also some intriguing under-the-radar events this year. For unique handmade creations, check out the 35 stands at the November 26 and 27 West End Holiday Craft Fair . And don’t miss the intriguing Very Victorian Christmas Market at the nearby Roedde House Museum on December 4, complete with vintage-feel pressie ideas.

And if you want to avoid the crowds of some holiday events, consider South Vancouver’s charming Tugboat Landing Artisan Market on December 3 and 4, with its 20 or so vendors and family-friendly Christmas vibe. We’ll also be hopping on the SkyTrain to Port Coquitlam, where the PoMo Arts Centre is again hosting its Winter Treasures Artisan Market every day until December 22.

And There’s More!

There are also a couple of decidedly quirky options this year. Head to Strange Fellows Brewing for the Krampus Markt opening night on Friday December 9, followed by a weekend-long bacchanalia of delicious brews, 30+ artisan vendors and the chance to meet the mythological goat-horned demon of Yule himself.

Also returning in 2022, the fantastic Weirdos Holiday Market is planning two weekend-long events (December 9 to 11 and December 16 to 18) at the Russian Hall in Strathcona. Expect an eye-popping array of idiosyncratic creations for every discerning coolster on your gift list.

And if you want to enjoy a taste of how other cultures see the holidays, there are two more options to try. Burnaby’s Scandinavian Community Centre is hosting its warm and festive Swedish Christmas Fair , complete with traditional crafts and baked goods, on the weekend of November 19. And the Japan Christmas Market is back at UBC Robson Square on December 3 and 4, complete with the kind of brilliant gift ideas you’ll never find anywhere else.

For more information on the festive events, shows and attractions in the city and beyond, visit the Vancouver Christmas Guide . Written by Lonely Planet travel writer John Lee, it’s the best online guide to the area’s 2022 holiday happenings. The site was co-created with Christmas Cat Max, who pens its gift reviews and often appears on its @MyVanChristmas Twitter feed.

It’s been more than two years for some of the big summer traditions that British Columbians are used to enjoying.

But with many pandemic restrictions lifting or already lifted, it’s shaping up to be a summer to remember.

Here are some of the big events returning to Metro Vancouver this summer.

Celebration of Light

One of Vancouver’s most popular summer festivals is back with a bang this year. The three-day festival, which ends on the B.C. Day long weekend, draws tens of thousands of people to the shores of English Bay. Viewing locations are plenty, just walk along the beach in downtown Vancouver, Kitsilano, and West Vancouver. But for those who don’t want the hassle of staking out a premium spot, ticketed viewing spots are also available. Countries competing this year are: Japan (July 23), Canada (July 27) and Spain (July 30).

Billed as Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival, Khatsalano returns to the streets of Kits this summer. The street party, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, will take over 10 blocks along West 4th Avenue between Burrard Street and Macdonald Street. Organizers haven’t announced this year’s musical line-up, but previous years had headliners such as Hey Ocean!, The Boom Booms, and Bif Naked.

• Dates: July 9 • Tickets: Free

Vancouver Folk Music Festival

Get all folked-up this summer when the much-loved Vancouver Folk Music Festival returns to Jericho Beach Park for the first time since 2019. This year, Illenium and Young Thug gets top billing.

This holiday market for 'weirdos' offers thousands of eccentric gifts in Vancouver

The Weirdos Holiday Market takes place on two weekends in December this year, affording eccentric shoppers several opportunities to find the perfect gift for the oddball(s) in their life.

Vancouver's favourite (and only) holiday market specifically for weirdos returns to the city to deck the hall with oddities galore.

The Weirdos Holiday Market  takes place on two weekends in December this year, affording eccentric shoppers several opportunities to find the perfect gift for the oddball(s) in their life.

Showcasing the work of 40 artists, the strange and festive event showcases a bounty of one-of-a-kind, unusual, and "occasionally outrageous" gifts, ranging from everything from magical pottery to witchy wares to quirky clothing to anatomical curiosities and much more.

Each year, Weirdos Holiday Market founder and organizer Rachel Zottenberg carefully curates the holiday offering, selecting a range of artists that each sell a bevy of weird, whimsical, or abnormal offerings.

For the first time, the market will expand its usual weekend hours to include two Friday Night Markets for adult shoppers aged 19 and up. These evenings will feature "R-rated curios suited only to (slightly more) mature eyes."

And while many of the items are holiday-inspired, others pieces are suitable for any occasion, albeit with a decidedly eccentric flair. For example, one of the vendors has been crafting "plague doctor" masks for several years, long before the foreboding, crow-like pieces became timely. They are a big hit these days, however.

Punk Rock Pastries, a local company known for crafting impressive and eccentric cakes and goodies, will also be returning to the event for a second year.

Some of the artisans featured at the sixth annual market include:

  • Brutally Beautiful:  Photography, sculpture, and jewelry by artist Amanda Bullick, who often incorporates ethically sourced bones into her work.
  • Dirt Spindle:  Unusual pottery pieces that have been fused with the shapes of human mouths, nipples, feet, and hands — but are still totally usable.
  • Inner Wolf Jewelry:  Ashya’s work is influenced by her Cree and Turkish ancestry and is "infused with elemental components of the natural and spiritual world." She uses everything from antler sheds to feathers, humanely sourced from elders.
  • Kwest Costume Art:  Handmade leather masks, including “plague doctor” masks.
  • The Paper Nest:  Stunning artworks using real wasp nests, delicately placed pearls, and more, that are "made with respect to nature."
  • Phresha:  Artwork that explores "whimsical, mystical themes, and featuring strange, magical creatures that reside in a universe parallel to ours."
  • Puppyteeth:  Local queer artist Puppyteeth’s dark humour informs the illustrations on his internationally loved prints and cards.
  • Relic Lighting:  Electrician Ira Grunwell’s handmade custom lighting pieces incorporate salvaged and vintage material.
  • Ultraviolet Oddities:  A returning favourite, this popular artist uses deconstructed plastic dolls to create pieces for the body and home, including wacky planters for a variety of succulents and cacti.

And how does Zottenberg define "weird?"

"To me, it's always the stuff that not everybody is going to like. It's the stuff that's a little left of centre, and often it has something that's a little grotesque or abnormal or a little antique or a little strange or a little snarky or a little over-the-top silly," she explains.

"But to be a weirdo is just to have those feelings in your heart while you create. To be an artist in itself is to be a weirdo."

More About Vancouver, BC

The largest city in British Columbia, Vancouver is a diverse city on the western coast of Canada and a must-see on anyone’s bucket list. Put on a pair of comfy shoes and come hungry! You’ll easily be able to fill your days hopping from district to district in search of good food, great attractions, and impressive scenery. Easy to get around on foot, via public transportation, or by car, you’ll have many options to explore all that awaits you. Wake up your taste buds with some strong coffee in Gastown before hopping on a ferry over to Granville Island, where you can have your fill of delicious local cuisine from baked goods to specialty food items. For those with an appetite for international cuisine, be sure to swing by Chinatown – the largest of its kind in Canada. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Stanley Park, home to the Vancouver Aquarium, a display of First Nation totem poles and more. Or take a quick trip out of the city to find even more adventures. A quick 20-minute drive out of the city will take you to the Capilano Suspension Bridge to test your fear of heights in the great Canadian outdoors. Grouse Mountain is also a short 30-minute drive and offers one of the best views of Vancouver at the end of either a hike or a quick ride to the top on North America’s largest aerial tramway. Vancouver is waiting for you with plenty to offer, no matter the season you choose to visit!

Before You Go

  • To make it easier to replace your passport if it’s lost or stolen, in addition to your passport, take a photocopy of your passport information page (keeping it separate from your actual passport).
  • Carry only a limited amount of cash, just enough for gratuities and incidental purchases. Major credit cards are widely accepted and can be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Always lock your hotel room door (including patio and balcony door on any level of the building) and use the peephole before opening the door.
  • Store your valuables (such as cash, credit cards and airline tickets) in the hotel’s in-room safe or front desk safety deposit box.
  • If you must carry valuables on your person, do so in a pouch or money belt concealed under your clothing. Purses and backpacks can be easy targets for thieves.

Top Experiences

Stanley Park : Surrounded by the Burrard Inlet and English Bay, this park is so huge they offer a hop-on, hop-off trolley to get around. While the park has over 17 miles of trails to keep you healthy, there's also a heated, outdoor pool, water park, the Vancouver Aquarium and even an exhibit of First Nation totem poles to check out.

Capilano Suspension Bridge : Spanning 459 feet long and 229 feet above a scenic river valley, Capilano Suspension Bridge is an outdoor haven waiting for the brave and adventurous.

Granville Island : Located near Downtown Vancouver, this tiny island is most famous for its farmer's market filled with local baked goods, produce, and everything in between. It's also home to Granville Island Brewing, Canada's first microbrewery. Don't worry these islands are not just for adults, there's a fun Kids Market too where the little ones can enjoy an indoor play area and stalls selling cool toys and treats.

Grouse Mountain : Open year-round and worth the visit in any season, Grouse Mountain has plenty of activities to offer. During the winter, you'll be able to carve your way down the mountain on skis or snowboards. In the summer, enjoy a game of disc golf or paraglide down the mountain for the daring. Year-round, you'll be able to visit the wildlife refuge, experience the thrill of zip lining, and take in the magnificent view at the Eye of the Wind, a large wind turbine with an observation deck.
