Baldur's Gate 3: Should You Open The Traveler's Chest In The Creche?

Players exploring the Creche in Baldur's Gate 3 will come across children gathered around a Traveler's Chest and a mystery object inside.

Making decisions with limited information is an exciting part of Baldur's Gate 3 . The "right" answer is often found better by a coin toss. But sometimes feelings and incomplete information can lead to disaster. And being in the middle of the Creche is a place where players do not want to have a messy disaster.

But being cautious is often the wrong choice. Missing out on treasures or splashy plotlines can feel even worse than simply guessing incorrectly. When players get this invitation from the children to check out the Traveler's Chest at the Creche in Baldur's Gate 3 , the decision will need to weigh both the risk and the reward.

Baldur's Gate 3: Should You Kill Abdirak?

Updated on April 21, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: The Creche is a big area that has its own space in the Mountain Pass . A couple of crucial choices will be triggered at the Creche, so players need to stay alert and choose carefully. However, you will also encounter not-so important choices that don't affect the gameplay. For example, upon entering the infirmary, there will be two young Githyanki tossing a Traveler's Chest that seems to contain some sort of creature, and you will have the option to free it or not.

This article divulges consequences within the game and reveals information the player's character may not know. Players committed to role-playing may wish to stop reading and find these things out for themselves.

Should You Open The Traveler's Chest In The Creche?

  • A gremishka, a small cat-like creature, will immediately attack.
  • The cat is easily defeated.
  • A gremishka tail (alchemical ingredient) and necklace can be looted from the body.

Intentionally unleashing enemies is often a good way to level up fast , but this pitiful creature inside hardly yields any experience or challenge. It does, however, give some useful ingredients once looted. For this reason, it's recommended to open the Traveler's Chest, just to see this small incident through.

Of course, it's also possible to simply allow this creature to be tormented by the children for the remainder of the game, but it feels more compassionate to end its suffering now. Unfortunately, there is no way to save the bullied gremishka. It starts out hostile and will aggravate everyone in the room once released. The best party composition should still account for potentially non-violent solutions, but there isn't a good solution here.

How To Use The Traveller’s Chest: BG3 (Baldur’s Gate 3)

Just like in any role-playing game, there is bound to be a lot of loot that you and your companions can get your hands on as you explore.

The only hassle is that every character has their weight limit, which later causes them to be over-encumbered and they become slower.

Thankfully, you can store your items in a chest that is at your camp, and don’t worry, you won’t need to travel back and forth to deposit items into it.

Traveler's Chest Baldur's Gate 3

What is the Traveller’s Chest?

The Traveller’s Chest is considered as the stash in Baldur’s Gate 3 and this is where you can send countless items that you have obtained along your journey.

It may seem to have a few slots at first, but this is not something you need to worry about because it has an infinite amount of space.

You can even expand the window to view more items at a time as they will appear once you have filled it up with whatever you have collected.

How To Use the Traveller’s Chest?

To open the Traveller’s Chest, all you need to do is interact with it and this will allow you to use or take items from within it.

You can even store bags with other items in them, making it easy to sort out a wide collection of items if you tend to organize things.

What is best about the Traveller’s Chest is that it can be used as a long-distance drop box, and you can send your items to it even if you are not at your camp.

How To Send Items to the Traveller’s Chest?

To send items to the Traveller’s Chest, you will need to select the item and open its menu, which is where you will be able to send it to another character or camp.

Sending the item to camp will transport it to the Traveller’s Stash and you will be able to access it at any camp that you visit.

You can even send multiple items at once , making it easy to take off loads of weight without needing to stop exploring.

Traveller’s Chest Shared Inventory

The inventory of the Traveller’s Stash is shared amongst any camp that you visit, which means if you are a camp in one region, its contents will still be there in another.

This makes it good for when you go to different areas as you do not have to travel back and forth just to get items from one location to another.

As long as you keep sending items to camp, they will always be there no matter where you decide to take a rest or go to your camp.

A role-playing game is incomplete without a place to stash your items and if you are like most of us, we tend to keep items for later.

You may have even taken a few items from the environment that you want to bring back to your camp like crates, chests, and more, which can all be sent to the Traveller’s Chest.

It is best to always send items to your camp to avoid carrying too much since you can always grab what you need whenever you rest or visit it.

Top Reasons to Go to Moscow

See the spectacle of Red Square at Night: The heart of Russia is transformed at night by the glowing red stars atop the Kremlin towers and the lit-up fairy-tale onion domes of St. Basil's Cathedral.

Choose from Chekhov to Tchaikovsky: Tapping into the thriving arts scene in Moscow is easy; fitting in your many options—a play at the Moscow Art Theater, opera or ballet at the Bolshoi, or art at the Tretyakov Gallery—is the hard part.

Find the Hidden City: If you can conquer your fear of getting lost, wandering through the intricate side streets can be a rewarding experience. You may accidentally bump into architectural wonders, like the Melnikov House, hidden away on pereulok Krivoarbatsky, or find a quiet square or park you can call your own.

Eat well: Whether sharing drinks and zakuski (appetizers) with friends, grabbing a blin (thin pancake) on the run, or sitting down to a bowl of borscht and pelmeni (meat dumplings), dining in Moscow is a heart-warming experience.

Get fashionable: Moscow offers more for shoppers than just stacking dolls and Soviet-era souvenirs. Russian designers are making a name for themselves, and the boutiques around the city carry many original designs.

Originally posted by agentkido : Originally posted by Sorsys : Both of us don't have deluxe edition. Do you know when your friend got the chest? We've already had two sessions with and after reloading we still have only one chest
Originally posted by Sevraine : Originally posted by agentkido : all he did was restart his computer, a small update came up for BG3 on steam and then his chest was back, try verifying steam files on both your computer and see if it works. you can also try deleting the profile associated with BG3 in appdata but do be careful to not delete the saves folder or youre going to be restarting from the beginning.
