Very very bad service!!

Very very bad service!!! Was looking for air tickets and found an offer from this "company" at 154€ for basic services. I typed the personal details and before i finished the page froze and after a few seconds it showed me 245€. Totally unprofessional. Later i visited again the website and it was showing me 154 again!!! I proceeded to book it again and then it did the same thing! Stay away if you dont want surprises.

cound´t get in contact

I would like to change my flight. That´s supose to be easy on the website. However, there is an error in the website so it doesn´t show alternative flights. Ofcourse, errors on website happens and that is not the reason for my low rating. My low ratining is because it is totally unclear how to get in contact with the company to report the problem and get help with my change. There is a phonenumber on the website but if i call them nobody picks up and there is no autovoice telling me what are the opening hours. I tried calling with diffrent sim cards, on diffrent times and diffrent days but there is no way to contact this company. So I have no idea where to report te error on the website and how to change my flight wich is highly stressful.

Stole 3k from my bank account

Go2Trip changed the price of my flight after I put in my Bank details. I refused the new flight and they took 3200Au dollars from my account. They never provided a flight or any contact info. They didn't respond to my emails. Hopefully my bank will help me get my money back but it will take weeks. Dont use this site!

U.S. tourist faces 12 years in prison after taking ammunition to Turks and Caicos

An Oklahoma man faces up to 12 years in prison on a Caribbean island after customs officials found ammunition in his luggage.

Ryan Watson traveled to Turks and Caicos with his wife, Valerie, to celebrate his 40th birthday on April 7. They went with two friends who had also turned 40.

The vacation came to an abrupt end when airport staff members found a zip-close bag containing bullets in the couple's carry-on luggage. Watson said it was hunting ammunition he had accidentally brought with him — but under a strict law in Turks and Caicos, a court may still impose a mandatory 12-year sentence.

"They were hunting ammunition rounds that I use for whitetail deer," Watson told NBC Boston in an interview conducted last week that aired after their first court appearance Tuesday.

"I recognized them, and I thought, 'Oh, man, what a bonehead mistake that I had no idea that those were in there,'" he said.

The couple were arrested and charged with possession of ammunition. Authorities seized their passports and explained the penalties they faced.

Valerie Watson said in the interview: "When I heard that, I immediately was terrified, because I was like we can't both be in prison for 12 years. We have kids at home, and this is such an innocent mistake."

The charges against her were dropped, and she returned home to Oklahoma City on Tuesday after the court hearing to be reunited with her two young children.

"Our goal is to get Ryan home, because we can’t be a family without Dad," she said.

The couple also spoke about the financial burden of a much longer-than-planned trip. "This is something that we may never recover from," Ryan Watson said.

The U.S. Embassy in the Bahamas issued a warning to travelers in September about a law that strongly prohibits possession of firearms or ammunition in Turks and Caicos, an overseas British territory southeast of the Bahamas that is a popular vacation spot.

It said: "We wish to remind all travelers that declaring a weapon in your luggage with an airline carrier does not grant permission to bring the weapon into TCI [Turks and Caicos Islands] and will result in your arrest."

The embassy added: "If you bring a firearm or ammunition into TCI, we will not be able to secure your release from custody."

The embassy and the government in Turks and Caicos did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The same thing happened to another American, Bryan Hagerich, of Pennsylvania, who was arrested after ammunition was found in his luggage before he tried to board a flight out of Turks and Caicos in February. He said he accidentally left it in his bag.

Hagerich was on a family vacation with his wife and two young children but has now been in the country for 70 days. He spent eight days in prison before he posted bail.

"It’s incredibly scary. You know, you just don’t know what the next day may bring — you know, what path this may take," Hagerich told NBC Boston.

"You know, it’s certainly a lot different than packing your bags and going away with your family for a few days. It’s been the worst 70 days of my life," he said.

Hagerich, once a professional baseball player, was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the MLB 2007 June amateur draft from the University of Delaware.

His case goes to trial May 3.

Syracuse police union blasts Biden’s New York visit after deaths of two officers: ‘Just wrong’

EXCLUSIVE — Several members of the police union in Syracuse, New York , are shocked that President Joe Biden is still on track to visit the city to tout the CHIPS and Science Act, calling the move "unacceptable" and "just wrong."

Biden's trip to Syracuse comes after two police officers were killed in the line of duty last week. New York lawmakers and local community members have expressed opposition to the president's trip, during which he plans to announce $6.1 billion in federal funding for Micron, a computer technology company.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Syracuse Police Benevolent Association spokesman Joe Moran said he thinks the president does not understand the tragedy that struck the community.

"This has probably been the worst week in our lives for each and every one of us," Moran said.

The funeral for Onondaga County Lt. Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hoosock, one of the two officers who were killed, was held Monday. The community held a funeral, which was attended by hundreds of the area's police officers and law enforcement officials, for Syracuse police officer Michael Jensen on Saturday.

"I'm shocked that President Biden says federal grants and Micron is more important than the death of two police officers," Moran said. "Either he's underestimating ... the impact that this has had on our members or he just doesn't care.

"It's one of the two," Moran continued. "Whichever one it is, it's unacceptable."

Moran pointed to the "extensive manpower" that is required to provide security for a presidential visit, calling it "unimaginable."

"It's going to bring our workforce front and center to have to come in and provide security this weekend," Moran said. "The timing of this is just wrong."

Greg Loh, chief policy officer for Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the mayor asked Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) for help from the New York State Police, who agreed to assist with security for the president’s visit.

Though the union is expressing a desire for postponement, Syracuse Police Chief Joseph Cecile said in a statement to the Washington Examiner that the Syracuse Police Department did not request that Biden postpone his visit.

"We did, however, in early conversations with the Secret Service, express our concern about SPD’s capacity to adequately cover this detail, as we were grieving the loss of two fallen officers—Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen and Onondaga County Sheriff Deputy Lt. Michael Hoosock—and planning their services," Cecile said. "Having said that, we are now fully engaged with Secret Service and all of our local law enforcement partners to ensure the President’s visit is seamless.”

Cecile added that all Syracuse police officers working for the detail will be on a volunteer basis.

Moran said he has spoken with several Police Benevolent Association members who are "deeply frustrated given the fact that they're still trying to recover from this tragedy."

"And now we have to bring a significant workforce together to fill this detail," Moran said. "It doesn't have to be right now. This Micron announcement does not supersede the death of two police officers."

Other political figures are weighing in on Biden's visit. Rep.  Brandon Williams  (R-NY), who represents Syracuse, sent a letter to Biden on Monday urging him to postpone the trip.

“I would be happy to join you in announcing this critical funding at a later date — it is worth celebrating,” Williams said. "Mr. President, I ask you to heed the calls of local law enforcement and postpone it to a later date."

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) have also slammed the president's decision to continue with the trip, with the former calling it a “misguided and cruel move by the Biden administration.”

Moran said he had read the letter Williams sent and that "I appreciate his sentiment," but added that he has not spoken to the congressman or any other federal lawmakers about Biden's visit.

Moran said the members of the Syracuse police department are "crushed" because the deaths of Hoosock and Jensen marked the first time the city had lost a police officer in over 30 years. Both men were killed on April 14 during a shootout in the town of Salina, New York.

"I would say that, given that yesterday was the final funeral for Lt. Hoosock, we're just starting to grieve, and hopefully, over time, we'll be able to recover from this," Moran said. "I think there will be a number of our members who don't recover from this."

Moran said many police officers are still out on administrative leave as a result of the shooting and the subsequent deaths.

Man dies in Blissfield Township off-road vehicle crash

BLISSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVG) - A 33-year-old man was killed and another person injured on Saturday night in a crash involving an off-road vehicle that rolled over multiple times, police say.

Officials from the Michigan State Police say that the yellow Honda side-by-side was found in the field at 7464 Scott Highway. They say the car was headed southbound when the driver lost control and rolled over multiple times.

According to officials, the driver was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, and the passenger sustained minor injuries.

Police say they believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash and that the investigation is still ongoing.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A $12 billion passenger bullet train linking Las Vegas and the Los Angeles area was dubbed the first true high-speed rail line in the nation on Monday, with the private company building it predicting millions of ticket-buyers will be boarding trains by 2028.

“People have been dreaming of high-speed rail in America for decades,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg before taking a stage with union representatives and company officials at the future site of a terminal to be built just south of the Las Vegas Strip. “It’s really happening this time.”

Buttigieg cited Biden administration support for the project that he said will bring thousands of union jobs, boost local economies and cut traffic and air pollution.

Brightline West, whose sister company already operates a fast train between Miami and Orlando in Florida, aims to lay 218 miles (351 kilometers) of new track almost all in the median of Interstate 15 between Las Vegas and Rancho Cucamonga, California. It would link there with a commuter rail connection to downtown Los Angeles. A station also is planned in San Bernardino County’s Victorville area.

Company officials say the goal is to have trains exceeding speeds of 186 mph (300 kph) — comparable to Japan’s Shinkansen bullet trains — operating in time for the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

“I believe we’ll look back at today and say, ’This was the birth of an industry of high-speed rail,’” Brightline Holdings founder Wes Edens said Monday.

The company aims to link U.S. cities that are too near each other for air travel to make sense and too far for people to drive.

Las Vegas has no Amtrak service. The idea of a bullet train to Los Angeles dates back decades under various names including DesertXpress. Brightline West acquired the project in 2019, and company and public officials say it has all required right-of-way and environmental approvals, along with labor agreements.

Brightline received Biden administration backing including a $3 billion grant from federal infrastructure funds and recent approval to sell another $2.5 billion in tax-exempt bonds. The company won federal authorization in 2020 to sell $1 billion in similar bonds.

Brightline West says electric-powered trains will cut the four-hour trip across the Mojave Desert to a little more than two hours. It projects 11 million one-way passengers per year, with fares that Edens said will be comparable to airline ticket costs. The trains will offer rest rooms, Wi-Fi, food and beverage sales and the option to check luggage.

Officials hope the train line will relieve congestion on I-15, where drivers often sit in miles of crawling traffic while returning home to Southern California from a Las Vegas weekend. An average of more than 44,000 automobiles per day crossed the California-Nevada state line on I-15 in 2023, according to Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority data.

Florida-based Brightline Holdings’ Miami-line debuted in 2018 and expanded service to Orlando International Airport last September with trains reaching speeds up to 125 mph (200 kph). It offers 16 round-trips per day with one-way tickets for the 235-mile (378-kilometer) distance costing about $80.

Other fast trains in the U.S. include Amtrak’s Acela, which can top 150 mph (241 kph) between Boston and Washington, D.C. But fast train connections for other U.S. cities have been floated, including Dallas to Houston ; Atlanta to Charlotte, North Carolina ; Chicago to St. Louis ; and Seattle to Portland, Oregon. Most have faced delays.

In California, a proposed 500-mile (805-kilometer) rail line linking Los Angeles and San Francisco was approved by voters in 2008, but has been beset by rising costs and routing disputes . A 2022 business plan by the California High-Speed Rail Authority projected the cost had more than tripled to $105 billion.

The Great Northern Road Trip: US Highway 2

Though many come close, no other cross-country route takes in the variety and extremity of landscape that US Highway 2 does. Dubbed the Great Northern in memory of the pioneer railroad that parallels the western half of the route, US-2 is truly the most stunning and unforgettable, not to mention longest, of all the great transcontinental road trips.

Starting in the west near the beautiful Pacific port city of Seattle, US-2 runs steeply up and over the volcanic Cascade Range, climbing from sea level to alpine splendor in around an hour. From the crest, the road drops down onto the otherworldly Columbia Plateau, a naturally arid region reclaimed from sagebrush into fertile farmland by New Deal public works projects like the great Grand Coulee Dam, one of the largest pieces of civil engineering on the planet. From Washington, US-2 bends north, clipping across the top of the Idaho Panhandle before climbing into western Montana, a land of forests, rivers, and wildlife that culminates in the bold granite spectacle of Glacier National Park.

On the eastern flank of the Rockies, the route drops suddenly to the windswept prairies of the northern Great Plains. Though empty to look at—especially when you’re midway along the 1,000-mile beeline across Montana and North Dakota, wondering how long it will be until you see the next tree or peak—this is a land rich in history, where the buffalo once roamed freely, where Plains peoples like the Shoshone, Blackfeet, Sioux, and Cheyenne reigned supreme, and where the Lewis and Clark expedition followed the Missouri River upstream in search of a way west to the Pacific.

Midway across the continent, the Great Plains give way to the Great Northwoods country of Minnesota —birthplace of both Paul Bunyan and Judy Garland—and then to the rugged lumber and mining country of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Continuing due east, the route crosses the border into Ontario, Canada, running through the francophone environs of Montreal before returning to the United States near lovely Lake Champlain in upstate New York.

From there, US-2 passes through the hardwood forests of Vermont’s Green Mountains and the rugged granite peaks of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, two very different ranges, though only 50 mi (81 km) apart. The route winds down to the coast of Maine, reaching the Atlantic Ocean at Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Landscapes, rather than cities and towns, play the starring roles on this route. After a few days spent following US-2 through small towns and wide-open spaces, you’ll probably consider Duluth bustling and fast-paced; driving even a short stretch of the Great Northern highway is guaranteed to bring new meaning to the expression “getting away from it all.”

Evo Japan starts this weekend

The fighting game community’s eyes will be on Tokyo this weekend as players compete in Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear -Strive-, The King of Fighters XV, Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes], Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

Evo Japan marks Tekken 8’s first major tournament and will also feature the return of  the fan-favorite Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Tune into the English stream on Evo’s Twitch channel from April 27th to April 29th. From July 19th to July 21st, the biggest weekend in fighting games will commence at Evo 2024 in Las Vegas.
