Flight Times Calculator

Introduction.

The Flight Times Calculator is a valuable tool for travelers, aviation professionals, and anyone looking to plan journeys with precision. This calculator streamlines the process of determining flight durations, offering convenience and accuracy in travel planning.

The Flight Times Calculator computes the total flight time by considering factors such as distance, aircraft speed, and wind conditions. The basic formula is:

Flight Time=Distance Aircraft Speed Flight Time = Aircraft Speed  Distance

However, to account for wind conditions, a more nuanced formula is often used:

Flight Time=Distance Aircraft Speed+Headwind Component−Tailwind Component Flight Time = Aircraft Speed + Headwind Component − Tailwind Component  Distance

How to Use?

Using the Flight Times Calculator is straightforward:

  • Enter the Distance : Input the distance between the departure and destination airports.
  • Provide Aircraft Speed : Specify the average speed of the aircraft.
  • Include Wind Components (Optional) : If desired, input the headwind and tailwind components to adjust for wind conditions.
  • Click Calculate or Submit : Initiate the computation by clicking the “Calculate” or “Submit” button.
  • Review the Output : The calculator will display the estimated flight time, considering the provided inputs.

Consider a flight covering a distance of 500 miles with an average aircraft speed of 500 miles per hour. If there is a headwind component of 50 miles per hour and no tailwind, the Flight Times Calculator would determine the flight time as:

Flight Time=500500+50−0=500550≈0.91 hours  Flight Time = 500 + 50 − 0 500 = 550 500 ≈ 0.91 hours

Q: Why is it essential to consider wind components in flight time calculations?

A: Wind can either aid or hinder the aircraft’s progress. Adjusting for headwind and tailwind components provides a more accurate estimate of the actual flight time.

Q: Are there specific units to use for distance and speed in the calculator?

A: Consistency is crucial. Ensure that the distance and speed are in the same units (e.g., miles for both) for accurate calculations.

Q: Can the Flight Times Calculator be used for different types of aircraft?

A: Yes, the calculator is versatile and can be applied to various aircraft, provided the speed input is appropriate for the specific type of plane.

Conclusion:

The Flight Times Calculator offers a practical solution for individuals and professionals involved in travel planning or aviation. By considering factors such as distance, aircraft speed, and wind conditions, this calculator provides accurate estimates of flight times. Whether you’re a traveler coordinating itineraries or an aviation professional optimizing flight plans, this tool enhances efficiency and ensures informed decision-making in the realm of air travel.

Time of Flight Calculator – Projectile Motion

Table of contents

With this time of flight calculator, you can easily calculate the time the projectile remains in the air . To solve this particular case of projectile motion, all you need to enter are the initial velocity, angle, and height. Read on to learn more about the time of flight equations, or simply play with the calculator instead!

Time of flight equation

If you throw a ball or shoot an arrow in the air, it will follow a parabolic path before hitting the ground. Visit the projectile motion calculator if you'd like to learn about it in more detail. Below we'll explain how to find out how long this movement would last.

To define the time of flight equation, we should split the formulas into two cases:

1. Launching projectile from the ground (initial height = 0).

Let's start with an equation of motion:

  • V 0 V_0 V 0  – Initial velocity;
  • t t t – Time since start of flight;
  • α \alpha α – Angle of the initial flight path; and
  • g g g – Acceleration due to gravity.

The flight ends when the projectile hits the ground (y = 0).

Then, t t t is the time of flight – the total time of the whole journey:

Note that the air resistance is neglected.

Which angle of launch causes the projectile to spend the most time in the air ? Let's have a look at the final time of flight equation again: the higher the value of sine is, the longer the time in the air. The maximum value of sine occurs when the angle = 90°. So if you throw an object upwards, it will keep moving for the longest time.

Additionally, if the velocity is equal to 0, then it's the case of a free fall. You can explore the concept of free fall further in our free fall calculator .

2. Launching projectile from some height (initial height > 0).

However, if the projectile is thrown from some elevation h h h , the formula is a bit more complicated:

You can also estimate the path the projectile will follow using the trajectory calculator . Not only that but there's also the projectile range calculator , allowing you to see how far it would go!

Time of flight exemplary calculations

Let's use this time of flight calculator to find out how long it takes for a pebble thrown from the edge of the Grand Canyon to hit the ground.

Type in the velocity value . Assume it's 16 ft/s.

Enter the angle – for example, 20°. If you choose angle = 0°, it would be the example of horizontal projectile motion .

Finally, type in the initial height . Let's take the deepest point of the Canyon. It's a 6,000 ft difference – over a mile! Type this value into our tool.

The time of flight calculator will show you the total time the pebble remains in the air. It's 19.5 seconds for our example.

All the calculations are made without taking into account air resistance. In reality, the trajectory would differ from the ideal parabola, and the range would be shorter than the result obtained from the calculations.

How can I calculate time of flight?

You may calculate the time of flight of a projectile using the formula:

t = 2 × V₀ × sin(α) / g

  • t – Time of flight;
  • V₀ – Initial velocity;
  • α – Angle of launch; and
  • g – Gravitational acceleration.

What is the time of flight equation?

You can measure the time of flight in two instances; first, when the object is launched from the ground, i.e., height equals zero. Second when the object is launched from a certain height.

Height, h = 0:

t = [V₀ × sin(α) + √((V₀ × sin(α))² + 2 × g × h)] / g

  • α – Angle of launch;
  • h – Height; and

What is time of flight in physics?

A projectile launched into the air stays in the air for some time before coming to the ground. The time it remains in the air is called the time of flight . The object could be in the form of light or sound waves as well.

Interestingly, the time of flight principle also helps determine the distance between objects in sensitive environments.

What is a time of flight sensor?

The time of flight (ToF) sensor measures the distance between two points using the ToF principle using light or sound .

A signal, usually light photons, is sent from the sensor's emitter to the target and then received back at the sensor receiver. The time taken by the signal helps measure the distance.

Typical applications include robot navigation, obstacle detection, and vehicle monitoring .

Travel Time Calculator

Sorry, this tool is no longer available. ;-(.

It's our mission to deliver quality tools that are easy to use, and we felt we're not really doing that ideal full justice with this calculator. As a small team looking after a wide selection of calculators , databases , and articles , we just don't have the capacity to maintain this calculator at a standard we'd be happy with.

So, with a heavy heart, we decided to take the Travel Time Calculator offline for good.

That said, the Time Zone Duration Calculator does the same basic calculation, giving you the time span between one point in time in one time zone and another point in time in another time zone. So, if you enter the start and end locations, dates, and times of your flight, the Time Zone Duration Calculator will calculate the true travel time for you, taking into account all time differences and any possible clock changes.

Ratings and Reviews

Option needed to select flying or driving.

First off I’ve been using this app for a few years now for truck driving. It usually works well. However, recently I’ve been noticing of the app automatically selecting flying miles to with no option to switch to driving miles. Not good! Example: picking up freight in Rockford IL and heading to Bonduruant, IA. The app automatically showed “flying” miles and there was no indication of driving mile calculation. I’m finding this happening more and more with this app. I need “drive”miles calculated. Please fix this or add an option to select flying or driving.
I loved this app so much until recently. I always counted on it and it was priceless to me . Until I put in a location and wanted to see how far to my destination and all it shows is via flying. Some locations to a particular destination will work however, others only show via flying and the bar across the top only shows flying. You have no option to choose driving like I used to . I did delete app and reinstalled but the same problem. Ugh

Driving Distances.

I have used this app very often and it has helped to provide me information to plan my trips. Mostly, I drive therefore I’m more interested in getting driving distances not flight distances, however very recently I discovered that in many instances the app shows only flight distances which surprised me that the ability to see driving distances is no longer available. I will be happy if this is reviewed and brought back. Thank you.

I fly twice a month for work. Here are 5 mistakes all travelers should avoid making.

  • I'm an adventure-travel writer and typically find myself at the airport at least twice a month.
  • Over the years, I've made many mistakes, both in the airport and on the plane .
  • Now, before heading to the airport , I always screenshot my boarding pass and pack lots of snacks.

Insider Today

As an adventure-travel writer, I typically find myself at the airport at least twice a month for work.

I've certainly made some mistakes along the way, but have developed some go-to travel hacks to ensure a smooth air-travel experience.

Here are five mistakes you should avoid making during your next trip.

Forgetting to screenshot your boarding pass

It's frustratingly common to step into the airport only to realize cell phone connectivity has disappeared, airport WiFi is nonexistent, and the airline app you've become dependent upon is unresponsive.

Once that crucial connectivity is lost, accessing a boarding pass becomes nearly impossible. That's why I now screenshot my boarding pass before heading to the airport. I've found this works well for me when all other options have disappeared.

Counting on in-flight food and beverage service

Catching a flight can be chaotic, and slowing down to grab a quick bite to eat in the airport can sometimes get deprioritized. However, in-flight snack and beverage service can't always be depended upon.

Related stories

I've often found myself counting down the minutes until the flight attendants come by with the service cart, just to find out there won't be any food or drink served on my flight. This can be due to anything from a short flight time to turbulence.

To avoid encountering this travel nightmare , I always bring a reusable water bottle and a stash of snacks with me to hold me over until my flight lands.

Not using the bathroom before boarding the plane

It's easy to get caught up in the boarding process and skip the last opportunity to stop at the bathroom before getting on the plane. However, the boarding process can be long and passengers often have to wait a while to safely use the restroom after the flight takes off.

As tempting as it is to get on board and claim a spot for my carry-on, I always take a few extra minutes to hit the terminal bathroom first.

Not hydrating while in flight

Many times, I've found myself not drinking water on a flight to avoid having to disturb those around me to use the bathroom. However, this often means I arrive at my destination dehydrated.

No one wants to be a nuisance, but most people understand that, no matter how long the flight, someone nearby will likely have to access the bathroom. At the end of the day, getting up to let someone out of the row is a minor inconvenience and an accepted part of air travel.

Leaving hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes at home

Ideally, airplane bathrooms should be thoroughly stocked with hand soap and sanitizer. However, this isn't always the case.

Rather than depending on the airline to help me stay germ-free, I always come prepared with my own hand sanitizer or wipes.

Dynamic Pricing Is Coming for Everything in Travel

Sam Kemmis

Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This influences which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money .

First it was Ubers. Then it was Wendy’s hamburgers (except the fast food chain clarified it was technically dynamic pricing, not surge pricing). But now, the real deal — surge pricing — is targeting your checked bags.

JetBlue quietly (sneakily?) introduced “peak” and “off-peak” pricing to its checked bag fees on March 22, a fact the world was alerted to because my editor happened to check the JetBlue website. That means you have to pay $5 to $10 more each way for checked bags on JetBlue when flying during busy travel times, such as the summer, much of the winter and some random weeks in the spring.

It's a classic example of surge pricing — a type of dynamic pricing where companies only increase prices during times of high demand, but don't lower pricing during times of low demand.

Technically, these new dynamic baggage fees won’t affect all customers like the blanket increases some other airlines, such as Alaska and Delta , recently added. Yet they also mean more complication and confusion for customers who are trying to figure out which airline offers the lowest total price for a given route.

Dynamic prices are nothing new in the travel industry. In fact, prices that rise and fall based on the balance of supply and demand are taken for granted in everything from airfare to hotel rooms and rental cars.

What’s new is how these companies are fluctuating the price of the add-on fees many travelers are growing to deplore .

And airlines are increasingly relying on these add-on fees for revenue. In 2023, airlines made a record $117.9 billion worldwide in ancillary fees, according to airline consulting firm IdeaWorksCompany and car rental technology platform CarTrawler. About $33.3 billion of that was baggage fees.

Some industry experts say the move to more fluid fee prices has been a long time coming.

“Airlines have had capabilities for years to price fares based on demand. Why not other fees as well?” says Jay Sorensen, president of IdeaWorksCompany.

Sorenson notes that many airlines have been dynamically adjusting the price of seat assignment fees for years. The cost of choosing a window seat near the front of the plane for a particular flight might cost more in December than in February because of increased demand.

Yet, it seems like airlines have been so preoccupied with whether they can make more money from increasingly complex fee structures that they haven’t stopped to think about whether they should.

What makes a fare fair?

It all comes down to how we think travel companies should price their products. Sorenson thinks we are holding airlines to a standard to which we don’t hold other retailers.

“Shopping for an airline seat is like shopping at a grocery store,” he says. "If the grocery store was required to tell you beforehand how much you were going to spend, it would be ludicrous.”

The base fare is more like the shopping cart into which we toss other add-ons, such as seat assignments, premium seating upgrades and baggage. It’s up to the consumer to compare prices at different airlines, just as it’s on them to compare prices at different grocery stores.

If JetBlue wants to charge more for eggs (baggage) near the holidays, we can decide whether we want to pay the premium or shop with an airline that doesn’t, according to Sorenson.

But I would counter by saying that charging extra for checked baggage on peak dates is more akin to charging extra for the carton that carries your eggs. It feels like a tacked-on “gotcha” fee meant to sneak under most consumers' radar rather than a meaningful price for a meaningful good.

Whatever you think about dynamic travel fees, it’s clear that they’ll become more common than less in the coming years. What can you do?

Tips for navigating dynamic fees

It’s not reasonable to keep track of which travel providers are charging which fees at which times. I can barely do it, and it’s my entire job.

Instead, it’s worth getting a sense of which airlines tend to charge higher fees overall, and, frankly, avoiding those brands if you want any add-ons at all.

For example, Frontier Airlines charges $157 each way in basic add-on fees while Southwest Airlines charges $0, according to the latest NerdWallet analysis .

So the simplest tip is to fly on Southwest Airlines. It doesn't have dynamic prices for fees because it has so few fees, period. Two checked bags per person are free.

If that’s not feasible, you might consider getting a co-branded airline credit card, many of which offer free checked bags . Because baggage fees are becoming increasingly complex, this type of credit card lets you avoid the headache of dealing with them altogether, just as paying for Spotify Premium lets you avoid those terrible ads.

Finally, skip seat selection fees if you possibly can. These fees are sneaky and difficult to compare between airlines, but they’re almost always optional. And, as Sorensen points out, they are essentially charging for something that costs the airlines nothing.

“When something is pure margin, my advice to airlines is ‘don’t be so greedy,’" he says.

Earthquake snarls air and train travel in the New York City area

By Megan Cerullo

Edited By Aimee Picchi

Updated on: April 5, 2024 / 4:36 PM EDT / CBS News

An  earthquake  centered in New Jersey and felt across the New York City region on Friday disrupted air and rail travel, with ground stoppages at airports in the New York City area and delays in train service.

Travel operations were momentarily halted Friday morning with ground stoppages at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens and at Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, with crews working to resume normal air traffic operations. By early afternoon, the ground stoppage at JFK had been lifted.

Arriving and departing flights in Newark also resumed in the afternoon, but delays averaged roughly two hours,  according  to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The earthquake, which occurred roughly 10:20 a.m. Eastern time, had either a 4.7 or 4.8 magnitude and was centered near Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, 40 miles west of New York City,  according to the United States Geological Survey.

Newark airport is experiencing average departure delays of 43 minutes, according to flight tracking website FlightAware. Inbound aircraft that are already airborne are delayed by about an hour. Inbound flights that have not yet taken off are being held until 12:30 p.m., according to the site.

Flights in and out of LaGuardia airport in Queens were also delayed, likely in order for airport staff to check for damage to the airport and runways and clear away any debris.

The ground stoppages and delays are not expected to last long.

Additionally, New Jersey Transit said it's experiencing up to 20-minute delays across its entire rail service system, in both directions. NJ Transit said it's inspecting a bridge for damage to ensure train travel is safe.

On Monday, April 8, the sky will momentarily darken for millions of Americans in the path of totality during the 2024 solar eclipse .

This is the first total solar eclipse to pass through North America in seven years, and the next one will not be seen from the contiguous U.S. until Aug. 23, 2044 , according to NASA .

The exact time the solar eclipse will occur will vary, depending on the state and the time zone. And of course, eclipse visibility will also be dependent on Monday's weather .

Whether you're experiencing the path of totality from home or traveling to witness it in person, here's what to expect for the exact eclipse time.

Where is the 2024 total solar eclipse?

The eclipse begins in Mexico , and then crosses over into the U.S. through Texas. From there, the path of totality, which is approximately 115 miles wide, extends northeast, crossing through 13 states. In the U.S., totality will end in Maine, but the eclipse will eventually enter the maritime provinces of Canada.

Other major cities along the eclipse's path of totality include San Antonio and Austin, Texas; Indianapolis; and Rochester and Syracuse, New York.

Air Travel Consumer Report: January 2024 Numbers

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today released its Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) on airline operational data compiled for the month of January 2024 for on-time performance, mishandled baggage, and mishandled wheelchairs and scooters. The ATCR is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality of services provided by airlines.

DOT expects that airlines will operate flights as scheduled and that when they do not, airlines will provide consumers the services consumers have been promised when a flight is canceled or delayed because of an airline issue. After a two-year DOT push to improve the passenger experience, the 10 largest airlines now guarantee meals and free rebooking on the same airline and nine guarantee hotel accommodations. Consumer-friendly information regarding airline commitments to their customers is available on the Department’s Airline Customer Service Dashboard at FlightRights.Gov. DOT also pushed airlines to provide fee-free family seating and rolled out a new family seating dashboard that highlights the airlines that guarantee fee-free family seating, and those of the 10 largest that do not, making it easier for parents to avoid paying junk fees to sit with their children when they fly.

In addition, DOT is improving transportation for individuals with disabilities. In July 2023, DOT finalized a rule which requires airlines to make lavatories on new, single-aisle aircraft more accessible. Then, in February 2024, DOT issued a proposal to address other barriers that Americans who use a wheelchair encounter when it comes to air travel by, among other things, mandating enhanced training for airline employees and contractors who physically assist passenger with disabilities and handle passengers’ wheelchairs.

Further, when necessary, DOT takes enforcement action against airlines and ticket agents that fail to comply with the Department’s aviation consumer protection requirements. In 2023, DOT issued the largest fines in the history of the consumer protection office. This includes a $140 million penalty against Southwest Airlines for failing passengers during the 2022 holiday meltdown. That penalty, which was in addition to over $600 million DOT already ensured was refunded by Southwest to passengers, requires Southwest to establish a $90 million compensation system for future passengers affected by significant delays and cancellations. DOT has helped return more than $3 billion in refunds to travelers since the pandemic began.

Flight Operations

The 560,352 flights operated in January 2024 were 99.56% of the 562,845 flights operated in January 2023. Operated flights in January 2024 were down 0.44% year-over-year from the 562,845 flights operated in January 2023 and down 7.18% month-over-month from 603,756 flights operated in December 2023.

"U.S. Airlines Operated Domestic Flights: January 2022-January 2024. Operated=Scheduled - Canceled"

In January 2024, the 10 marketing network carriers reported 582,425 scheduled domestic flights, 22,073 (3.8%) of which were canceled. In December 2023, airlines scheduled 606,218 domestic flights, 2,462 (1.3%) of which were canceled. In January 2023, airlines scheduled 573,877 domestic flights, 11,032 (1.9%) of which were canceled.

On January 6, 2024, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with a mid-cabin door plug installed operated by U.S. airlines or in U.S. territory. On January 24, 2024, FAA cleared all such aircraft to return to service after each aircraft operator successfully completed a new inspection process approved by the FAA. Alaska Airlines and United Airlines have informed the DOT that the grounding of the 737 MAX9 aircraft with the mid-cabin door plug installed has impacted their on-time statistics during this reporting period.

January 2024 On-Time Arrival

In January 2024, reporting marketing carriers posted an on-time arrival rate of 72.8%, down from both 83.9% in December 2023 and from 76.2% in January 2023.

  • Alaska Airlines Network – 64.7%
  • JetBlue Airways – 69.5%

January 2024 Flight Cancellations

In January 2024, reporting marketing carriers canceled 3.8% of their scheduled domestic flights, higher than both the rate of 0.4% in December 2023 and the rate of 1.9% in January 2023.

Lowest Marketing Carrier Rates of Canceled Flights January 2024 (ATCR Table 6)

  • Hawaiian Airlines – 1.5%
  • Spirit Airlines – 1.5%
  • JetBlue Airways – 1.7%

  • United Airlines Network – 6.9%
  • Southwest Airlines – 3.1%

Complaints About Airline Service

The release of air travel service complaint data in the Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) has been delayed primarily because of the continued high volume of complaints against airlines and ticket agents received by the Office of Aviation Consumer Protection (OACP) and the time needed to review and process these consumer complaints. The Department is investing in modernizing its system for handling consumer complaints with the support of a Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) investment to improve the customer experience for the tens of thousands of consumers who use the system each year and enable OACP to more effectively engage in oversight of the airline industry.

As DOT modernizes its system, given the continued high volume of air travel service complaints concerning airlines and ticket agents, DOT has revised how it processes consumer complaints received after June 1, 2023. From June 2023 until the date its system is modernized, DOT intends to revise the ATCR to display consumer submissions (complaints, inquiries, and opinions) as opposed to complaints for this period. The Department will continue to display civil rights complaints in the ATCR in a similar manner as before and anticipates publishing submission and civil rights complaint numbers in spring.

Tarmac Delays

In January 2024, airlines reported 71 tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights, compared to five tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights reported in December 2023. In January 2024, airlines reported six tarmac delays of more than four hours on international flights, compared to zero tarmac delays of more than four hours on international flights reported in December 2023.

Airlines are required to have and adhere to assurances that they will not allow aircraft to remain on the tarmac for more than three hours for domestic flights and four hours for international flights without providing passengers the option to deplane, subject to exceptions related to safety, security, and Air Traffic Control related reasons. An exception also exists for departure delays if the airline begins to return the aircraft to a suitable disembarkation point to deplane passengers by those times.

The Department investigates extended tarmac delays.

Mishandled Baggage

In January 2024, reporting marketing carriers handled 37.4 million bags and posted a mishandled baggage rate of 0.75%, higher than both the rate of 0.50% in December 2023 and the rate of 0.73% in January 2023.

The Department began displaying the mishandled baggage data as a percentage (i.e., per 100 bags enplaned) in January 2022. This is consistent with the manner that the mishandled wheelchairs and scooters rate is calculated and displayed.     In the prior three calendar year reports (2019 to 2021), the Department calculated the mishandled baggage rate based on the number of mishandled bags per 1,000 checked bags.

Mishandled Wheelchairs and Scooters

In January 2024, reporting marketing carriers reported checking 56,659 wheelchairs and scooters and mishandling 836 for a rate of 1.48% mishandled wheelchairs and scooters, higher than the rate of 1.39% mishandled in December 2023 and lower than the rate of 1.47% mishandled in January 2023.

As described earlier, in February 2024, the Department announced its proposal to strengthen its rule implementing the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) to address the serious problems that individuals with disabilities using wheelchairs and scooters face when traveling by air that impact their safety and dignity, including mishandled wheelchairs and scooters and improper transfers to and from aircraft seats, aisle chairs, and personal wheelchairs. The proposed rule would require that airlines meet strict standards in accommodating passengers with disabilities by setting new standards for prompt, safe, and dignified assistance, mandating enhanced training for airline employees and contractors who physically assist passengers with disabilities and handle passengers’ wheelchairs, and outlining actions that airlines must take to protect passengers when a wheelchair is damaged during transport. The proposed rule also clarifies that damaging or delaying the return of a wheelchair is an automatic violation of the ACAA.

Bumping/Oversales

Bumping/oversales data, unlike other air carrier data, are reported quarterly rather than monthly. For the fourth quarter of 2023, the 10 U.S. reporting marketing carriers posted an involuntary denied boarding, or bumping, rate of 0.20 per 10,000 passengers, lower than both the rate of 0.35 in the third quarter of 2023 and the rate of 0.30 in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Incidents Involving Animals

As part of its IT modernization, DOT’s Office of Aviation Consumer Protection (OACP) is improving the options for covered carriers to submit their monthly and annual Reports on Incidents Involving Animals During Air Transport. While the new system is being developed, OACP is permitting covered carriers to delay submission of reports on incidents involving animals during air transport. Annual data on such incidents will be published when DOT receives carriers’ complete submissions of the 2023 data.

In January 2024, carriers reported zero incidents involving the death, injury, or loss of an animal while traveling by air, equal to the zero reports filed in both December 2023 and in January 2023.

Consumers may file air travel consumer or civil rights complaints online at   https://secure.dot.gov/air-travel-complaint , or they may mail a complaint to the Office of Aviation Consumer Protection, U.S. Department of Transportation, C-70, W96-432, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20590.
