Colter Wall has announced dates for his 2024 “The Little Songs” tour. Presale is currently available on his website and tickets for the Denver show are currently live. All the dates and cities for the tour are currently available on his site, but the venues for the shows are still to be announced.

His last album Little Songs was released in July of 2023. The ten-song project was his first release since his 2020 album, Western Swing & Waltzes And Other Punchy Songs . 

Colter Wall is one of the premier acts out of Canada in modern country music. His prominent bass voice has paved the way for one of the most unique careers. Wall blew up with his album Imaginary Appalachia . The tracks “Sleeping On The Blacktop” and “The Devil Wears A Suit And Tie” from the album took off and made Wall a staple in the neo-western scene. He eventually collaborated with Tyler Childers on the song “Fraulein” on his self-titled album in 2017.

Quite a disappointing concert, Colter Wall, last night.

He released an album last year - Songs of the Plains - that’s brought him a lot of positive critical attention then only played 4 songs from it. One of these, the great Wild Dogs, he sang like he couldn’t get into the mood.

He had his band with him, so they were whooping it up like a hundred other country bands further diminishing the man’s talent which wasn’t much on display anyway because he kept singing cover songs.

His rendition of his Calgary Round-Up from the last album was brilliant, but it wasn't enough.

As usual, Colter Wall was great. Unfortunately, a high percentage of audience members who attend his shows these days are too focused on drinking and socializing and posting selfies to actually watch or listen to his songs. So much loud talking and stumbling two-fisted drinking thatI doubt a one of them heard anything he said or sang.

Amazing show!! Colter Wall is an incredible artist and performer live. Great stage presence, great stories. His sound live is even better than on record - gritty, raw, and undeniably phenomenal.

Colter Wall Announces Rare Fall 2023 Tour Dates

Ever since the COVID pandemic effectively shut down live music around the world,  Colter Wall  has remained content tending to his farmland in Saskatchewan, Canada, and releasing the occasional album . Even after concerts returned in full force, the singer-songwriter has continued to shy away from any large-scale touring, instead opting for one-off festival appearances largely in the Western United States. Therefore, it was an exciting announcement last week when Colter Wall announced a run of ten U.S. tour dates in October and December.

The tour begins on October 11th in Columbus, OH, with a string of shows through Louisville, Chicago, Detroit, Omaha, Minneapolis, and Madison, WI over the next ten days. In December, Wall travels to Dallas for a two-night engagement at the  Longhorn Ballroom  before wrapping the trek in Durant, OK.

Despite Wall’s continuous upward trajectory, many of the venues are intimate 1,500–3,000-capacity rooms. That, plus the rare nature of Wall’s appearances, will likely move tickets quickly. Adding to the hype, Wall’s latest record—the reflective Little Songs —just put the country revivalist at #1 on Billboard ‘s Emerging Artists Chart, as well as #75 on the Billboard 200.

Tickets for the upcoming Colter Wall tour dates go on sale on Friday, August 11th at 10 a.m. local time. In anticipation of high demand, fans are encouraged to sign up for Wall’s mailing list in order to access pre-sales beginning on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time. Colter Wall Announces Select Tour Dates for Winter 2021/2022

Colter Wall significantly curtailed his touring plans this fall after both the Delta surge of COVID-19 and local shutdowns/vaccine requirements injected a whole lot of uncertainty into his original plans. But after canceling a bunch of dates and refunding patrons in hopes that 2022 can see some more extensive touring, he has just announced a slew of new dates coming up for this winter. After selling out Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth on October 28th, Colter Wall has just announced a 2-night residency at Gruene Hall in Texas in January, another at George’s Majestic Lounge in Arkansas in February, as well as an appearance at Cain’s Ballroom, and other select venues into early 2022. Fans will also be happy to see that his show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville is still on, and was not a casualty of the previous cancellations. Colter Wall has made old cowboy tunes and whooping trail songs cool again, and against inexplicable odds. People hunger for that authenticity Colter Wall brings to his music. And to keep his equilibrium and that authenticity in tact, he often spends his time off from music tending cattle, and keeping close ties to the land and the inspirations for many of the songs he sings, whether ones he’s written, or the cowboy songs of old. Most or all of these dates will sell out, so fans should be on their toes at 10:00 a.m. local time Friday, November 12th when they go on sale. Before canceling his fall tour, 3/4’s of the dates sold out within days. Openers have yet to be announced. Tour Dates:

When were cowboy songs and the music of the west not “cool”? Sure a lot of that came from Hollywood with fellas like Gene Autry and Bob Nolan but there is a lot of the Ian Tyson/Tom Russell cowboy music that is way out and wild. Personally I don’t give a fuck about riding horses but I grew up in the west in a blue collar scene so I have always enjoyed listening to the music. Obviously the Rosetta stone of modern cowboy music is Marty Robbins, Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs, if any new cats cut a record that good, live in one studio session, please do a review! Glad CW is doing these records, I can never get enough of it!

Everyone’s asking me so I’ll just say it. Charley should be opening for joshua ray walker, not the other way round.

Oh hell, you warned us to see him in a small venue when we could – I skipped his ’19 show here in Denver at the smaller Ogden Theater for whatever reason and now he’s booked into the new, twice as large Mission Ballroom. Up and up he goes…

We saw him last year in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. It is an upscale retirement community and a Mecca for Starbucks moms. He sold far more tickets than Robert Earl Keen and there were more squared toe boots in PV than there ever had been. Transcendent!

New concerts are planned at western USA venues in January and February. Before then, the Canadian-born-and-raised Colter has a handful of headlining shows in Texas and Oklahoma with opener Red Shahan.

When do Colter Wall 2023-2024 tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

For the new shows, the general public on-sale begins as early as November 10. Presales are currently underway for Artist, Ticketmaster, Live Nation, LN Mobile App., and local venues / radio. Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change.

Colter Wall Announces US Tour Dates Amid Two Single Releases

The past couple of years has proven to be hard times for fans of country artist and real-life rancher Colter Wall. Since the pandemic began, it has been mostly radio silence from the Canadian artist who has continually had to cancel shows due to strict travel rules across borders and vaccination mandates for gigs.

In January 2022, Wall released a statement to fans, saying “As I’ve stated before, it’s not my business to tell someone they can or cannot come to my live shows. That’s why I’ve don’t my best to avoid mask and Covid vaccine issues. With that said, it has become increasingly difficult to tour once again, not only because of requirement issues but all the bullshit that comes with it.”

Now, the “Cowpoke” artist is back, announcing a handful of shows across Texas and Colorado in early 2023. The new year will see him playing two nights at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado on January 19-20 with a string of gigs in Fort Worth and New Braunfels, Texas.

In late September, the singer followed up his 2020 record, Western Swings & Waltzes And Other Punchy Songs , by releasing two songs in tandem, and in the musician’s trademark mystique, under the radar. The release sees one Wall original paired with a Waylon Jennings cover.

A bright, rambling, western-textured cowpoke hymn, “Cypress Hills and the Big Country” is a stunning foil for the singer’s gritty, lived-in vocals and seasoned guitar chops. Wall’s cover of “Let’s All Help The Cowboys (Sing The Blues),” written by Jack Clement and originally recorded by Jennings for his 1975 album  Dreaming My Dreams , is stripped-bare as he makes the tune uniquely his own.

Colter Wall Announces Fall Tour Dates In Support Of New Album ‘Little Songs’

Following the release of his stellar new studio album, Little Songs, Colter Wall is hitting the road this fall to give fans a taste of the new album in person.

Kicking off October 11th, Colter and the boys will make stops in a number of Midwestern cities including  Minneapolis, Madison, Chicago, and Detroit, before heading south to Dallas’s newly reopened Longhorn Ballroom, and then will wrap up in December at Durant, Oklahoma’s Choctaw Casino Grand Ballroom.

Red Shahan will open across the 10-stop run.

Colter Wall Captures The Feeling Of Home With ‘Little Songs’ Album

His new studio album  Little Songs is out everywhere, and per the usual with him, perfectly showcases his unique sound and life out on the prairie of his native Canada.

He’s one of those rare artists who truly never disappoints, singing straight from the heart about his authentic life experiences. As a fan of country music, there’s really not much more you can ask for.

The record features four previously released songs in the title track , “Corralling the Blues,”   “For A Long While,”  and a cover of Hoyt Axton’s  “Evangelina,”   all of which are still some of my favorites on the tracklist.

The Saskatchewan native weighed in on the upcoming release, saying he’s been writing these songs over the last few years and they reflect the feeling of home and his life as a cowboy:

“These songs were written over the last three years. I penned most of them from home and I think the songs reflect that.”

Today, the lineup for the first-ever RedWest music festival in Salt Lake City, Utah was announced and it features a huge mix of established artists, as well as some of the hottest up-and-coming acts that country music currently has to offer.

Colter Wall, Ian Munsick and Oliver Anthony will headline the three-day event, along with additional artists including Flatland Cavalry , Dylan Gossett , Sam Barber, Shane Smith & the Saints, Luke Grimes, Treaty Oak Revival , Conner Smith, Zach Top, Jake Worthington, Zandi Holup and more; with a few artists still yet to be announced.

RedWest will take place at the Utah State Fairpark from October 4-6, and will feature food, drinks, activities and 2 stages of music running from 11:30am to 11:00pm each day.

• Colter Wall Delivers an Unwavering Set to Rain-Soaked Fans at Two Step Inn 2024

The Texas sky churned angrily overhead as Colter Wall graced the Big River Stage, bringing with him a cool and controlled showcase to the dreary Saturday afternoon at Two Step Inn.

Pulling songs from across his five studio albums, including his most recent effort, the 2023 released Little Songs , the Canadian balladeer delivered a truly career-spanning set while also peppering in some of the cowpunch standards he's become highly skilled at making his own.

From the beginning, he was an artist of few words, introducing himself as simply Colter, before launching into his jaunty 'Little Songs.' Each song felt brisk, strings plucking away at impossible speeds, and purposeful, the words making up more than just songs but stories, as the artist flitted from waltzes to swings and back again.

Halfway through his set is when the rain came and sent some festival-goers seeking shelter. "It's just water", the frontman called to them mid-song.

As it poured, he continued his set, keep many still enraptured with a mix of plucky tunes, like Ian Tyson's 'The Coyote & The Cowboy' and Billy Joe Shaver's 'I Been to Georgia on a Fast Train,' as well as haunting ballads, like 'Cowpoke' and the closing 'Sleeping on the Blacktop'.

It may have been a no frills show – steady and to the point, a lot like the artist himself – but it was an impressive display of musicianship all the same.
