Fayetteville State University Transfers: 2024 Requirements, Dates, GPAs & More

How effective are fayetteville state university virtual tours.

It depends how you use them. Fayetteville State University is a hustling, bustling campus and community. The beauty of Fayetteville State University virtual tours on CampusReel is that authentic video tours, made by real students, can be spectacular at capturing the Fayetteville State University vibe. We also go well beyond the confines of the Fayetteville State University campus by taking you around Fayetteville. In traditional virtual tours, you will mostly see still, unengaging images and will not see the surrounding area at all – which is why CampusReel virtual tours are so important.

Can a Fayetteville State University virtual tour replace a traditional in-person visit?

If you cannot visit Fayetteville State University in person, then we can honestly say that we believe a CampusReel virtual tour of Fayetteville State University is absolutely the most effective and holistic way to understand the Fayetteville State University people, campus and community. However, if you do plan on visiting Fayetteville State University and other colleges in person, we strongly recommend that you at least prescreen your college options on CampusReel before spending the time and money to visit. Most prospective families find that as soon as the step on campus, they instantly know whether or not they like the school – but they’ve already spent all that time and money getting there! Our goal is to eliminate all the time and money visiting Fayetteville State University in person until you can make a strong educated guess that it’s worth the investment.

What are the downsides of a Fayetteville State University virtual tour?

The downside of virtually touring Fayetteville State University on CampusReel is that, admittedly, our technology does not yet mimic the exact feeling and experience of visiting Fayetteville State University in person. We are working on this though! A common request we also receive from users is to add more perspectives (e.g. student guides) to the platform. Rest assured we are working on adding more CampusReel guides to the Fayetteville State University virtual tour. However, our selection of guides still far outweighs the available perspectives of traditional virtual tour platforms.

What are the benefits of a Fayetteville State University virtual tour?

The most obvious benefit of a Fayetteville State University virtual tour on CampusReel is that is can be accessed from anywhere. This can save families a lot of time and money compared to visiting Fayetteville State University in person . Another often overlooked benefit of a CampusReel virtual tour is that it goes far beyond a traditional in person tour Fayetteville State University . Campus visits are limited both in time and scope – how are you expected to truly understand a college in a 1 hour tour? That’s why we stress the added benefit of CampusReel virtual tours – experience Fayetteville State University and Fayetteville during different seasons, days of the week, and even hours of the day. What’s game day like? What is finals week life? Again, traditional virtual touring platforms don’t include this benefit.

Dreamville bus stops at Fayetteville State University; J. Cole stories shared

F ive days before the 2024 Dreamville Festival, an announcement came out via the festival’s official Instagram account that Queens rapper/actor/TV producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will replace Chris Brown as the April 6 co-headliner. In addition, newcomer Hunxho will replace singer Muni Long.

The change in the lineup has sparked debate online. However, “Dreamers,” as fans of the annual festival are called, look forward to what they consider one big family reunion. Fans from all over the world are heading to Raleigh this weekend.

Among them: the EngineEars. On Monday, this organization stopped on the campus of Fayetteville State University as a part of its EngineEars x Dreamville Audio Production Workshop Tour. Founded by Derek “MixedbyAli” Ali and backed by Grammy Award-winning hip-hoppers Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled, Engineers is primarily an online service that connects artists to quality recording studios and engineers to help improve sound quality.

In addition, users can earn a certification in Dolby Atmos, a system of immersive sound production. Since launching in 2021, EngineEars has offered new and emerging artists insight from industry leaders. This year, the EngineEars partnered with Dreamville and Amazon Music for a six-city tour across North Carolina leading up to Dreamville Public Access at CAM Raleigh on Friday.

J. Cole origin story

Fayetteville was the fourth stop. The Dreamville bus, which arrived here Monday, had made stops in Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Durham. At each stop, attendees received first-hand knowledge from experienced industry executives like LA-based radio broadcaster DJ Hed; Grammy Award-winning producer 9th Wonder; and Platinum-selling producer Groove.

More: Keem Jones: ‘He listened.’ How the Fayetteville rap scene produced J. Cole

The Fayetteville workshop included J. Cole’s mentor, Brion “Nervous Reck” Unger. Unger is a founding member of Fayetteville rap duo, Bomm Sheltuh. Before achieving mainstream success, Cole was a “student of the game” and his teachers were Nerv and Carlos “Filthe” Brown.

Cole’s first performance was at Duh! Skate Zone during the intermission of a Bomm Sheltuh show. During the workshop held in the FSU’s Rudolph Jones Student Center, Nerv told stories of Cole and Bomm Sheltuh's longstanding relationship.

Along with his in-depth stories of Cole, he played “Syrehns” by Cole, then rapping under the moniker The Therapist, and Filthe.

On board the Dreamville bus

After Nerv and Hed’s conversation, the floor was opened for questions from attendees. Attendees were allowed to tour the Dreamville Bus, which houses a state-of-the-art recording studio.

According to Meherete Kassahun of EngineEars, the goal is to provide attendees with invaluable knowledge of what’s going on in the music industry.

Ray Thomas, an FSU instructor and host of iBronco Radio, was more than happy to receive the call from Unger and immediately sprang into action, bringing in Dean of Students Dr. Roderick Heath of FSU’s Matriculation Institute. The pair both see the benefits of the workshop and hope it is the beginning of a fruitful partnership betweenDreamville and FSU.

The tour’s next stops include Wilmington and Raleigh, where they will be joined by MixedbyAli, along with Mez and J.I.D. of Dreamville.

Visiting the new J. Cole mural

Before leaving Fayetteville, the Dreamville Bus made a special stop in Downtown Fayetteville to visit the newly-painted J.Cole mural on the side of Back-A-Round Records, located at 1 Market Square, by Queens native Efren Andaluz, better known as Andaluz The Artist.

More: PHOTOS: Andaluz The Artist finishes J. Cole mural in Fayetteville on eve of Dreamville

Andaluz and Durrell Dove, his photographer/videographer, were caught off guard by the arrival of the Dreamville Bus and even more by the crew from EngineEars. However, they were also elated because Andaluz expressed his interest in doing a song with the Fayetteville hometown hero.

So, the heightened possibility of Cole seeing his work is priceless.

Dreamville music ... and food

While Andaluz is preparing to head home to New York, the EngineEars team along with thousands of others will be preparing to head to Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park to enjoy the music of 50 Cent, J. Cole and Nicki Minaj and others as they enjoy food from one of the festival’s more than 50 food vendors, like Jolly’s Catering and Events.

The business, founded by Raleigh couple James and Halena Shufford, offers festival food such as their signature “Big Mama Wrap,” which consists of fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and candy yams in a deep-fried wrap.

Jolly’s Catering and Events has been a part of the festival since 2019 and its reputation has grown with the Dreamville Festival.

To stay updated on the Dreamville Bus stops, follow @engineears and @dreamvillefest on Instagram. Salute to Nerv, EngineEars, Dreamville and every activist getting active. Peace.

A Dreamville bus tour, which includes a music studio, dropped by Fayetteville State University and downtown Fayetteville on Monday, April 1, 2024, in the runup to Cole's Dreamville Festival in Raleigh this week. Piloted by EngineEars, the tour gave new and emerging artists a chance to participate in a workshop on music production with industry players.

Stepinac's Boogie Fland redirects to Arkansas, recommits to play for John Calipari

fayetteville state tour

Boogie Fland is following John Calipari to Arkansas.

The McDonald's All-American who led Stepinac to back-to-back CHSAA AA Intersectional titles has been leaning toward Fayetteville ever since the hall-of-fame coach announced he was leaving Kentucky and signing a five-year deal with the Razorbacks.

Fland took an official visit to the school Wednesday and signed a National Letter of Intent.

When he committed to Kentucky back in October, the 6-foot-2 shooting guard noted a long line of backcourt standouts who Calipari made NBA ready.

"It's basically the same reasoning, just a different school," Fland said on Thursday after getting back to New York. "That kind of made it much easier for me to make a decision. It was definitely important to get it settled. I wanted to be where Cal was and I wanted to go see Arkansas before I made a decision, so it was good to go down there."

Fland: Stepinac superstar headlines 2024 lohud boys basketball all-stars for Westchester/Putnam

He was given the grand tour.

"They have a gym that I have access to 24/7 and the arena is right next to it," added Fland, who is a two-time lohud Player of the Year. "Everything about it was cool and calm, that's my speed."

Fland averaged 19.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season. He shot 55% from the field and 37% from behind the 3-point line. He was named CHSAA AA MVP and New York State Sportswriters Association AA Player of the Year and took part in the McDonald's All-American game, the Nike Hoops Summit and the Jordan Brand Classic.

Arkansas had one player on the roster when Calipari was introduced earlier this month. He's now received commitments from three players, including another former UK recruit Carter Knox.

"I think we're going to be fine," Fland said. "(Calipari) knows what he's doing. I trust him."

They have been in contact multiple times over the last two weeks.

"I basically told him I was coming," said Fland, who's heading back to campus in June. "We talked a lot. He came and saw me, I forget when, but we've talked a lot since he made his way to Arkansas."

According to Stepinac coach Pat Massaroni, who was on the receiving end of most of the phone calls from coaches looking to land Fland, St. John's, Seton Hall, Illinois, Louisville, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Florida, Arizona and Providence were among the schools looking to get into the mix.

"I didn't really listen to any pitches," Fland said. "I knew what I wanted to do."
