Avery was our tour guide and he was amazing!! Knowledgeable, funny, personable and kind to my ADA grandmother. We enjoyed seeing all the sights. Would highly recommend this tour, and would highly recommend requesting Avery as your guide if that's at all possible!!

What a way to see Mt Rainer! Lucinda was the perfect guide, very knowledgeable, willing to lend a helping hand, who truly enjoys what she does and I feel like she went above and beyond! We had perfect viewing conditions and our guide took us to all the perfect picturesque spots! Would highly recommend this tour!

I enjoyed this tour and the pace of it given my lengthy travel the day before to get to Seattle. The tour guide was knowledgeable, quirky and made everyone feel at home immediately. He was very warm, and took care of us throughout our stops, especially when I got lost. There was a lot to see of urban and suburban and the pace, stop-offs and breaks were all good and reasonable in length. There was alot of knowledge being passed, and he provided a backbone to the start up, progress and history of the city. That really helped me for the rest of my stay in Seattle and other tours I took. I’d recommend this tour. There isn’t a lot of walking but i left feeling I had a better feel for the city and it’s people.

This was an excellent way to see the majority of the park and explore various highlights including several waterfalls, with a limited amount of time. The guide, Andreas, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and shared insights regarding the history and seasonal changes within the park. Highly recommend this trip.

We thought we had missed the tour by mis-reading the pick-up time. We phoned the company (and spoke to a live person) and they agreed to circle back to pick us up! We are soooo glad we didn't miss it. Steve was an amazing guide with wonderful insights into the city history, amusing quips about area, and he simply made the tour a memorable event. Well worth the time and money.

Great time! Our driver/tour guide, Ken, was fantastic, very knowledgeable! Would give us little tidbits of info on Seattle as we left Seattle and also when returning besides plenty info on Mt Rainier. I was very impressed with his amount of knowledge. Wish I could have retained all of it, lol. The views as we drove up the mountain were gorgeous and he would always gave us a heads up so we could have our phones/cameras ready to snap. He would also make stops on the way back so we could have more time to take the scenery in. Make sure to bring snacks along and we were able to stop at a grocery store with a great deli so we could purchase something for our lunch for later. Our final stop did not have a big choice and also had long lines. Glad we purchased our deli items ahead of time. Gave us more time to explore the area. Great Day!!!

Whether you are visiting Seattle with your senior group, a military reunion, or you are in town for a wedding party, there's plenty of things to see and do in the Emerald City.

Begin your tour of Seattle with a trip to the iconic Space Needle or see the skyline from the Seattle Great Wheel , the giant waterfront Ferris wheel. Take a walking, cycling, or bus tour of the city to see the Seattle Underground , food destinations, and more. Board a boat and travel out into open waters to the San Juan Islands for a day-long whale watching expedition. Stop by some famous graves to pay homage to Bruce Lee, Jimi Hendrix, and more. When it's time for a breather, spend some time shopping at Pike Place Market or Pioneer Square in Downtown Seattle. Try one of the excellent restaurants or street vendors for some delicious food. For nightlife and live entertainment, check out Teatro ZinZanni for a European mix of burlesque, cirque, and dinner theater.

If you and your crew could use a little happy hour relief this week, take on a bar-hopping adventure with a twist! Our “ Sleepless in Seattle Bar Crawl ” is an adventurous take on Belltown’s nightlife. We’ll take you to four of the best watering holes in the city on a fun-filled trip full of games, challenges, and trivia. If you think your besties are fun on a normal drunken night, wait until you see them attempt to answer tough trivia and complete video challenges while tipsy. If nothing else, our bar crawls are excellent sources of laughter!

3. Uptown Art and Architecture

Seattle is full of fantastic street art and architecture! Grab your artsy pals and your token Starbucks favorite to-go, and hit the streets with Let’s Roam. “ Uptown Art and Architecture ” will be your ultimate guide to exploring all the artsiest parts of Uptown, including Tilikum Place and the Olympic Sculpture, Sonic Bloom, Puget Sound, and the Space Needle. You’ll learn all the behind-the-scenes info and leave a Seattle art expert!

4. Savor Seattle Food Tours

Seattle is a haven for foodies! However, we all have a tendency to get in a rut and eat the same stuff every week. Branch out this weekend, and take a guided tour of Pike Place Market with Savor Seattle Food Tours . Experience the cuisine of eight different stalls, and learn the interesting history of the market. You can leave an expert with a full belly, and we can’t think of a better outcome than that!

5. Lawless Forge

If you feel the need for a hands-on experience, gather up your peeps, and book an appointment at Lawless Forge . Under the guidance of a professional blacksmith, you’ll learn to make your own horseshoe knife, chopsticks, bottle opener, or garden art. The sessions last about three hours, and each person in your group makes the same item, so this very easily lends itself to some friendly competition. They offer private experiences, public classes, and corporate team-building options. Whether you go as a small group of friends or a large work crew, this unique activity is one you won’t soon forget. They can accommodate groups of up to 40 people.

For more awesome Seattle corporate events, check out our list of “ The Top 20 Team-Building Activities in Seattle, Washington .”

6. The Bellevue Challenge Course

If teamwork against an immense challenge is the goal, Bellevue Challenge Course is your place. Established as a joint endeavor between Parks & Community Service and Northwest Teambuilding, the course consists of a series of zipline tours and an aerial obstacle course. You can also check out ropes courses and on-ground challenges amongst the gorgeous landscape of Eastgate Park. It’s the perfect place to work on trust and problem-solving skills while getting a little fresh air and exercise (plus an adrenaline rush!).

7. Rage Industry

Sometimes, you just need to blow off some steam! Rage Industry provides a safe and unique way to let all your stress out—by smashing stuff! Basically, you arrive and get hooked up with some safety glasses and a suit. Then, you’ll be set free with whatever smashing instrument you choose to completely destroy some office equipment, furniture, or whatever else is about. You can even bring in your own pain-in-the-butt printer if you want. It’s the only place in the world where it’s perfectly acceptable (in fact, encouraged) to destroy things with a crowbar. Smashings are by appointment only!

8. Jet City Improv

If you have a funny crew, book a time slot with Jet City Improv for a lesson. It’s a Seattle non-profit theater that specializes in fun! The teachers will lead you through a series of guided games and teamwork activities designed to improve communication, produce mega laughs, and encourage cooperation. It’s obviously an unexpected and fun corporate event, but it can also just be a fun weekend activity for a creative group of friends. Improv helps you think on your toes, offers a bit of friendly competition, and is wildly fun!

9. Seattle Glassblowing Studio

Fulfill your artistic fantasies with a session at Seattle Glassblowing Studio . This is a creative and fun group activity for adult friend groups. Under the guidance of an expert, you and your squad will choose your intended piece, learn the basics of glassblowing, get hands-on with the process of glassblowing, pick your colors and decorations, and end the day with your very own masterpiece. The studio can accommodate groups of 5-30 people but does require an advanced appointment. The sessions last about four hours, perfect for a Saturday adventure that ends just before happy hour!

10. Seattle Works

Seattle Works is a team-building opportunity that allows you to give back to the community. You and your crew will suit up for a volunteer service completely organized and operated by Seattle Works. All you have to do is get your peeps there. Plus, every dime you spend at Seattle Works goes to support nonprofit organizations in the community that focus on anti-racism curriculum and education. It’s a great way to get your hands dirty, improve the local community, and ensure that your money is well-spent in the process!

11. Seattle Sailing Club

One of the most beautiful things about the Seattle area is all the glorious water. Spend the day out to sea with your buds on an adventure with Seattle Sailing Club . It’s not just a fun experience either—they’ll actually teach you the basics of sailing! If you want to incorporate some team-building or friendly competition, they’ll split you into teams and hold a quick sailing race across Puget Sound. Loser buys beers!

12. Argosy Cruises

Speaking of water adventures, you can’t beat a day putting around Lake Union, Lake Washington, or the harbor. Argosy Cruises offers sightseeing cruises, corporate events, and Locks Cruises, which take you through several Seattle neighborhoods. You get excellent views of the Olympic Mountains, the Seattle skyline, and possibly some oceanic wildlife, too. Depending on which cruise you choose, you will have access to catered food, a full bar, a vibrant event coordinator, and interactive games while aboard. It’s the absolute best way to escape the hustle of the city, get some fresh air, and bond with your peeps in nature!

13. Beneath the Streets Underground History Tour

Explore the early history of Downtown Seattle on an underground tour of the chambers beneath Pioneer Square. The Great Seattle Fire of 1889 destroyed a vast portion of the city, but it presented the opportunity to raise the city up above the destructive zone of the tidal flats. This raising of the city created a vast underground that was preserved, thankfully. The company also offers guided tours of the historic Redlight District and the Queer History of Seattle. Whether you want to learn about historic city planning or the first “gayborhood” in the city, the guides at Beneath the Streets have you covered!

14. A Day at T-Mobile Park

This one is for the sports fans! A day at T-Mobile Park is full of fun, fried food, and baseball history. Tour the epic stadium. Visit the Mariner’s Hall of Fame. Catch an evening game, and do some food hopping from the awesome assortment of food stalls and beer bars. Even if you don’t like baseball, when you’ve got a full beer in hand and are surrounded by your best mates and the infectious atmosphere of the stadium, you’re bound to enjoy yourself!

15. Museum of Pop Culture

If we’re honest, museums don’t usually scream “Fun!” However, the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture is the exception. MoPOP is a vibrant and innovative museum with ever-changing exhibits focused on major events in pop culture. You can explore Science Fiction Film exhibits, join a Juneteenth event, or peruse the visual history of hip-hop, just to name a few activities. With tons of special events, there’s always something new and exciting going on at MoPOP.

16. Hot Stove Society

If you’re going to be forced into a team-building event (let’s face it, most people have to be forced), you might as well get some good food out of it. At Hot Stove Society , your group will hook up with a professional chef for a top-notch cooking demonstration. You’ll spend the whole evening eating with cocktails, appetizers, and entrees included. Then, your group will divide up and have a little competition to create the best dish. Once a winner has been declared, you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor, which is obviously the best part of the evening! Aside from team-building events, they also offer group classes with varying themes.

17. SPIN Ping Pong Bar

SPIN is a funky and lighthearted adult bar that has taken the U.S. by storm. They now have venues in Washington, D.C., Boston, Chicago, NYC, and, of course, Seattle. For a weekend visit, no reservations are necessary. Just show up, book a ping pong table, order a pizza and a beer, and enjoy! However, they also do private parties and events and can accommodate large groups of up to 900 team members. With beer, pizza, and ping pong competitions, this might be one of the best team-building activities in the world.

18. Outdoor Sunset Party

Summer in Seattle is delightful and made for outdoor evenings. Plus, the city has awesome green areas. Gather your crew, and set up a night at Alki Beach or Golden Gardens. Lay claim to one of the firepits. Throw out your blankets. Grill up some hot dogs (don’t forget the cream cheese), and enjoy the sunset together. Bring your own firewood, a volleyball for the court, or a kickball for a post-dinner match. It’s a carefree evening that will leave you all feeling a little less stressed and a little more connected.

19. Whale Watching Trip

Several species of whales, including orcas and gray whales, call the waters outside Seattle home. If you need a little ocean breeze in your face, book a whale-watching tour with Puget Sound Express . You’ll tour the Salish Sea and San Juan Islands on a comfy, heated boat, with lunch provided—including their famous Blueberry Buckle. The best part about a trip with these guys is if you don’t see whales, your next trip is free!

20. Boeing Future of Flight Tour

A bit north of Seattle in the town of Mukilteo lies the epic Boeing Future of Flight Exhibit . It’s the perfect day trip from Seattle for families or friend groups. Take in the view from Sky Deck. Explore historical exhibits on Rosie the Riveter and the Destiny Module. Fly some drones, and learn about robotics, peruse the collection of aircraft, or rent out the place for your own private event! If this sounds good but you want to stay in the city, you could always check out The Museum of Flight !

21. Venture to Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie Falls is often listed as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. This 270-foot roaring torrent draws in more than 1.5 million people a year to watch its show. It’s easy to visit, too. There’s free parking, an upper and lower observation deck, a lovely little hiking trail, and a few acres of stunning parkland to enjoy. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday with your besties.

If you need something with a bit more adrenaline, you can book a whitewater rafting tour on the Snoqualmie River… talk about a trust-producing, team-building adventure!

22. Paddleboarding or Kayaking on Lake Union

Head for Northwest Outdoor Adventure , and rent your SUP for a cruise around Lake Union. Lake Union is the most popular spot for kayaking and paddleboarding in Seattle, and there’s a good reason. You get excellent views of the skyline, get to wander between seaplanes taking off and landing, and see interesting spots (like Gas Works Park) for a unique perspective. Paddleboarding is the perfect weekend activity to blow off some steam, get some exercise, and experience the great outdoors with a clan of good friends. There aren’t many spots in the world where you get a world-class athletic activity like this right in the middle of the city!

23. Bike Tour

Experience the Emerald City as it should be experienced—on bike. Seattle Bicycle Tours offers a series of guided tours on both e-bikes and regular pedal bikes. You can explore Discovery Park, West Seattle, Bainbridge, or Smith Cove. Peddling through the city exposes you to so much more than driving through it. You get to feel the wind on your face, smell the fresh coffee permeating the streets, and get up close and personal with the urban art. It’s a great way to spend a weekend afternoon with friends!

24. Wine Tasting Tour

The PNW is famous for its coffee and beer, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some excellent wineries as well. While there are several great wine-tasting tours in the city, we love the family-run Butler Seattle . Like most of the tours, they take place in Washington’s premier wine region, Woodinville. You’ll get high-end transportation, door-to-door pickup, a personal guide, tasting fees at three locations, and tons of yummy treats. Their inclusive Rustic Picnic Wine Tour includes a hearty Mediterranean picnic lunch from the artisan eatery The PicNic Table. It’s an absolutely excellent tour, and they even do special events, like bachelorette parties!

25. Deep Sea Fishing in Puget Sound

Experience the thrill of reeling in a massive salmon on a guided excursion with Seattle Fishing Charters . You get a comfortable vessel, the best gear, and an experienced captain that knows the runs and will put you in the right spot for success. You don’t need to know anything about deep-water fishing. The crew will teach you everything you need to know, and you’ll have an absolute blast! Just don’t forget your seasickness tablets.

26. Soaring with Seattle Ballooning

There’s nothing more exciting and peaceful than floating over a stunning landscape in an overgrown party balloon. Assuming the idea of hopping in a giant picnic basket and taking to the sky via a massive flame thrower is cool with you, hot air ballooning is so much fun. Seattle Ballooning offers sunrise and sunset tours that include views of both Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens. Upon successfully landing, you’ll celebrate with a post-flight champagne ceremony!

27. Brewery Tour

As we’ve covered, there’s no better spot in the U.S. to try craft beers than the PNW. While there are tons of guided brewery tours, not everyone is into organized events, so we thought we would branch out a bit here and present you with Discover the Pacific Northwest’s self-guided Seattle brewery tour . You’ll explore four of the city’s best breweries on a walking tour… or a scooter… or a bike… whatever you want. It’s self-guided! You’ll begin at Cloudburst Brewing and travel south through Pike Place Market to end at Copperworks Distilling Company. Magnifique!

28. Fancy Night at Benaroya Hall

Benaroya Hall sits at the core of Downtown Seattle and comprises two performance halls. It’s massive and beautiful. The hall hosts more than 700 events a year and offers free docent-led tours to the public bimonthly. It’s also the home of the Seattle Symphony. We suggest arriving for a guided tour of the facility and then coming back for an evening symphony. It gives you and your crew the excuse to toss the flannel and puffer vest and put on something a little more chic this weekend.

Get Out of Here—Go Explore Seattle!

Seattle is seriously a dream to tour and a pleasure to live in, especially if you take advantage of all the incredible activities. The sheer number of amazing group activities in Seattle is kind of mind-blowing. From fancy concert halls and laid-back local parks to slightly terrifying ropes courses, Seattle has something for every kind of adventurer. So, get out there, and explore the Emerald City this weekend. Do something new. Bust out of your comfort zone, and take a few friends along. You won’t regret it!

7 Day Vancouver Island Camping Adventure Tour

7 Day Vancouver Island Camping Adventure

We had a fantastic holiday. We met a great group of people and saw loads of stunning, and often undiscovered places. Alex's local knowledge was exceptional - and he went to great lengths to make sure he was meeting everyone's needs. As just one example, both my wife and I have awkward dietary requirements and he catered for us at every meal - producing amazingly good food considering we were camping. We'd recommend Fresh Adventures to anyone and everyone!

Timberwolf Hiking and Kayaking on Vancouver Island: This was a well-organised and enjoyable tour. We were a group of 9, mostly single travellers, of different nationalities and ages. Our tour guide worked very hard, with both practical tasks, such as driving and organising meals and equipment, and in making sure participants had a fun and safe time. The kayaking with camp on the remote island was brilliant. It wasn't a relaxing holiday but it was great to be outdoors and active and was a fantastic experience. Definitely recommended.

What people love about pacific northwest tours.

This Vancouver Island tour was another great tour from Fresh Adventures. The trip was well run and organised. The 2 guides, Jafar and Carl were excellent and cooked some fantastic meals throughout the week. A good mix of exploring and relaxation at some great swimming areas throughout the island. Definitely recommend.
The itinerary, hikes and activities were great. The best feature of the hotel in Seattle was location. The quality of the hotels went from bad to worst. On the one we stayed the last two nights there was not even soap, we had to go and ask for it and almost beg for shampoo, they also just gave us one key for a double room, There was always a sense of improvisation and lack of communication. The guide tried his best to save the day, every day. We would arrive tired and hungry and most places were closed already. The guide on the last day went out of his way to deliver participants to their destinations, not just the airport but the train station, etc. that was greatly appreciated, his energy, enthusiasm and driving skills made of this a Good trip. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Planning a student field trip?

Planning a Seattle Group Tour, Senior trip, Adult trip, or motorcoach tour? Let Great Adventure Tours experienced staff plan all of your group travel needs.

As one of the youngest major cities, Seattle boasts majestic views and an abundance of activities. While it is known that early explorers visited the region that is now the bustling Seattle, the first settlers did not put down roots in this area until about 1851. With acres and acres of forestland and little farmable ground, Seattle did not immediately appeal to settlers who preferred Oregon's rich farming areas. However, the enticing abundance of wood finally intrigued settlers enough to see what could happen in Seattle. The town started to boom and has powered through many obstacles (the worst of which an 1889 fire that burned 25 blocks of the city center) to become a vibrant metropolitan area that is home to the largest city in the Pacific Northwest and has made Seattle a very popular destination for Great Adventure Tours and their student and school trips.

We look forward to welcoming you, and showing you this magnificent place for students, schools, performance groups, or graduating class trips. Great Adventure Tours and our guides are there for you.

Sample Itineraries for Seattle Student Travel Tours:

Day 01 - On the first day of your student or school tours, your educational trip will begin with the meeting of one of our local step on guides. You will get a detailed and informative tour of much of what Seattle has to offer. Day one will include an adventure of Underground Seattle, which is an unusual attraction that student groups love. Here, your student or school, will enjoy a humorous walking tour of the buried city. As time allows, day one can also include a complete tour of the city of Seattle and a trip up to the Smith Tower Observation Deck, which offers amazing views of downtown Seattle and the waterfront. After dinner your group will have the opportunity to relax from a fun filled day at the hotel.

Day 02 - Day two will begin with breakfast at the hotel to get prepared for a full day at one or a few of these great options: Woodland Park Zoo, Burke Museum, Pacific Science Center, or an IMAX Presentation. From here your group will visit the Space Needle. The unbeatable view from the Space Needle's observation deck wows every visitor. Photo opportunities are plentiful throughout , with the sparkling glass and steel buildings of downtown, the glistening Puget Sound, and snow-capped Mount Rainier just east of the city. For those truly epic, once-in-a-lifetime destinations, you want to leave your itinerary to the experts. Whether your dream is to see the Big Five on an African Safari, trek tall mountains, explore European cities, or something even wilder, a group tour is the easiest way to do it.

However, picking the wrong group tour company is the quickest way to ruin your trip. Make sure you choose a tour company that aligns with your goals and travel styles. Do you want an intimate group tour or do you prefer to make lots of new friends in a big group? Does the price line up with what you like (luxury vs. budget)? Is the itinerary going to all the places you want to see?

We’ve done the research and found the very best group travel tour companies for 2023 for every type of traveler.

Best Overall Group Travel: Exodus Travels

With trips on every continent, Exodus Travels covers anywhere on this planet that you could possibly want to go, from popular destinations like the Amalfi Coast to well off-the-beaten path adventures like Tajikistan. This award-winning group travel company boasts thousands of repeat customers who sign up for trips year after year (97% of past participants would recommend Exodus Travels to a friend).

These small group tours operate with only around 12-16 people, and always feature experienced local leaders who can give you a unique insight into your destination. Exodus Travels caters to any type of travel style, including trips broken down by type of activity (think walking, cycling, multi-adventure, winter, or cultural) as well as type of traveler (family, age group, etc.). There are curated collections (coastal, “away from it all”, European wilderness, and trips of a lifetime) to inspire you, as well as self-guided options for when you want all the benefits of a group tour planner without the actual group. Looking for that special safari? Exodus Travels just partners with the African Wildlife Foundation to create carefully curated luxury adventures that go above and beyond the standard safari.

Exodus Travels tours work for almost any budget, with options that range from affordable to premium.

Top Trip: Explore under-the-radar Europe by foot on Exodus Travels’ Lakes & Mountains of Slovenia walking tour .

World Expeditions’ trips are capped at just 16 people to provide a good experience for participants, and there are no single supplements for solo travelers willing to share a room with someone of the same gender.
