Hyatt House Seattle is the perfect place for cruisers! All of their rooms come with refrigerators and microwaves, along with free breakfast and snacks. Plus, the views from the rooftop deck are unbeatable! You can walk across the street to the Space Needle, or walk to Pike Place in under 20 minutes.

We rented electric scooters and rode them to the waterfront which was so much fun! It is a great way to see the city. During cruise season, the hotel will help you arrange a shuttle to both cruise ports.

Hyatt House Downtown Seattle is the perfect place for discerning travelers looking to enjoy the bustling city life of Seattle. Here are the top three benefits of staying at this hotel:

1. Hyatt House offers convenient access to popular attractions like the Pike Place Market and Space Needle, as well as local shopping, dining, and entertainment. 2. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily, so you can fuel up before heading out on an exciting day in Seattle! 3. Enjoy the rooftop terrace and fireplace too!

Hyatt Place Seattle/ Downtown has some drawbacks that you should consider before booking a stay. Here is a list of cons: The Wifi here is notoriously awful. I can’t ever get enough signal to do anything from inside the hotel, so if you need to work before your cruise, you may have difficulty here.

The views aren’t great from the rooms. Yes, it is across the street from the Space Needle, but your in-room view likely won’t reflect that. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt House in Seattle on multiple occasions, and my experiences there have been nothing short of excellent.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been more than pleased each time — the customer service is outstanding, and the rooms are always spotless. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to explore the city too; walking around the area can be quite fun. Hyatt House Seattle is the perfect place to stay before heading off to an Alaskan cruise.

Relax in comfortable rooms and suites. With a convenient location near downtown Seattle, you will be able to easily explore the city’s attractions before boarding your cruise ship. And when you depart, Hyatt House Seattle helps to arrange shuttle services to the cruise terminal so you can get there on time with no hassle.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea-Tac may not offer the most convenient location for those looking to explore Seattle’s attractions. It is located over 12 miles away from the city center, making it a bit of a trek to get to places like the Space Needle or Pike Place Market.

Additionally, there are limited transportation options available from the hotel to those attractions and they can be expensive. Furthermore, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sea-Tac is situated near an industrial and residential area, not providing much in terms of sightseeing opportunities.

Seattle Cruise Ports

There are two cruise ports in Seattle. The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91 and the Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66. Both offer great views of the city and easy access to downtown.

Smith Cove Cruise Terminal/Pier 91

This terminal is located 10 minutes North of Seattle and is the main cruise terminal in Seattle. Smith Cove Cruise Terminal is about 40 minutes (depending on Seattle traffic, which by the way can be awful), from the SeaTac Airport.

If you are flying in on the day of the cruise (which I strongly recommend you don’t do), plan on getting a flight that lands at least 3 hours before boarding. This gives you time to get your luggage and get a ride to the cruise terminal.

Even if you are staying downtown, give yourself a little extra time to get to the ship. Better to arrive early than late! If you don’t have a rental car or your own vehicle, you’ll need a ride to the cruise port. This private shuttle service is the top-rated transportation company in Seattle. Be sure and reserve ahead! ⤵️

⭐️ Pier 91 is used by Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Celebrity, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean. If you have a rental car or are driving yourself, parking is available for $27 per day and includes a shuttle to the cruise terminal. This should be reserved ahead can be booked online at  Republic Parking Northwest .

Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66

This cruise terminal is located right downtown in the middle of all of the action. Nearby is Pike Street Market, the Seattle Wheel, the aquarium, shopping, and restaurants.

Bell Street Cruise Terminal is about 30 minutes drive from the airport. There is no public transportation from the airport to the terminal, so you’ll need to get a shuttle if you don’t have a car

(depending on traffic). Cruise piers and downtown pre or post cruise hotels can easily be reached by bus, shared or private shuttle, limousine, sedan, taxi or shuttle bus. Light rail (train) is the most economical way to travel between the Seatac airport and downtown accommodation.

Parking — safe and secure short and long term overnight car parking garages are available at both cruise terminals.

Parking lot, available to Oceana Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line passengers, directly located across Alaskan Way from the cruise terminal. It offers 1,500 spaces of covered car parking. A sky bridge connects the Bell Street Garage with the cruise terminal.

1,100 car parking spaces right at the cruise terminal. Long term parking spaces available to all Holland America line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity Cruises passengers.

Passengers can take a shuttle from the parking area to the terminal building. It also provides overheight and RV parking for Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruise passengers. Passengers leaving from the Pier 66 terminal can obtain a complimentary taxi voucher for service back to Pier 66. Allow 15-20 minutes for the taxi ride back to Pier 66.
