It is celebrated on the birthday of Lord Krishna. The Janmashtami Puja takes place on this festival along with tableau of Lord Krishna.   Ganesh Chaturthi Eleven days of pampering Lord Ganesha. It is the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed God. A beautiful idol is crafted of Lord Ganesha and after that immersion ceremony of the idol takes place.   Gurupurab Religious processions & peaceful hymns. It is the celebration of the anniversaries of the ten Sikh Gurus. Bhajan-Kirtan, Gurbani takes place on this festival at the Gurudwara and after that Langar and the Prasad takes place.   Raksha Bandhan Strengthening the bond of Kinship. This festival symbolizes the strong bonding of a brother and sister. The ritual of Rakhi takes place in which sister ties up the Rakhi on his brother's arm.   Eid-Ul-Fitr Sumptuous buffets & sweet festivities. It celebrates the conclusion of the holy month of fasting called Ramadan. This festival is celebrated on birthday of Lord Jesus i.e. 25th December of every year. Christmas tree decoration, prayers are done on this festival.   Easter Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The festival is celebrated for resurrection of Lord Jesus. Folk songs and dance, Easter eggs, cakes, chocolates, street decorations are done on this festival.   Baisakhi The rich traditions and cultural prosperity. Baisakhi basically welcomes the harvest season. On this day, Folk dance like Bhanra and Giddha, Punjabi feats, decorations in houses and Gurudwaras takes place.   Makar Sankranti Hindu's New Year. It makes the beginning of new agricultural cycle. Normally, kite flying is done by children as well as young people.   Maha Shivratri Devotion to Lord Shiva. Maha shivratri is celebrated for devotion to Lord Shiva. People do fasting and worshipping Lord Shiva on this day.   Basant Panchami Its name is derived from Basant ritu (spring). It marks the beginning of spring. On this day, people wear yellow colored clothes and make yellow dishes like sweet saffron rice and curry.   Mahavir Jayanti It is the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. On this day prayers are offered and fasting is observed. Rath (Four wheeled carriage by horses) yatra is also carried out by people.

Hello, my husband and I were in India in March 2019. We asked Maharaj Tours for personal trip on the south India. We walked Bangalore-Mysore-Hassan-Hampi-Badami-Hubli and Goa. Everything was perfect. The traffic in India has to be witnessed to be believed! All traffic, most of the time requires experience ++ to negotiate. You will really need an Indian driver who has the patience and expertise to get you there safely. Our driver picked us up from our accommodation and took us to Agra for Taj Mahal visit and several times to Delhi airport and back for domestic travel. All drivers from Maharaj Tours courteous, good English and generally lovely people. Would definitely use Maharaj Tours again.
