The Game We’ll See: Thursday, August 17: Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians ( see all 30 here! )

Parking & Transportation:

Progressive Field’s parking is managed by a third party and is quite limited. You can reserve online if there is space. If they are sold out, the Guardians recommend SpotHero. There is no tailgating at Progressive Field.

One local Ballpark Chaser on Facebook suggest parking by the Fire Museum “catty-corner” to the stadium. It’s is underneath I-90, and is both cheap and easy to get into.

Oversized vehicle: There is no designated RV parking at Progressive Field.

Fans can also attend the game using public transportation. There are several bus options, plus two free trolleys that circulate through downtown Cleveland. You can find more information here .

Stadium Tours:

Progressive Field offers tours when games begin at 6:10 p.m. or later. The tour includes the Press Box and warning track, among other highlights, and costs $20. Tickets may be purchased online.

General Information:

Bags: Progressive Field permits bags that do not exceed 16” x 16” x 8” into the stadium. No storage is available for oversized bags.

Food & Beverages: Fans may bring their own food, but it must fit within the bag requirements. Fans may also bring in one, factory-sealed bottle of water that is 20 ounces or smaller. Empty plastic water bottles are also permitted.

Cashless transactions: All transactions are cashless.

Signs: Signs are permitted if they are baseball-related, don’t block views, interfere with the game, contain advertising, or contain offensive materials.

Foul Balls: Fans may keep foul balls, as long as they don’t interfere with play or enter the playing area to retrieve them.

Gates: Gates open 90 minutes prior to first pitch on Fridays and Saturdays, and 60 minutes prior to first pitch for all other games.

Cameras: Camera lenses are limited to 6”. Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks are not permitted at Progressive Field.

Umbrellas: Progressive Field allows personal-sized umbrellas. Please be considerate when using one.

Where to Sit:

For shade, Ballpark Savvy recommends the third base line. Baseball Road Trip suggests looking for lower seats in Sections 162 to 174, back rows of the Field Boxes, or lower box rows.

If you aren’t on a tight budget and want to be close to the action, try for first level, left-field seats. Single letter rows in Field Box Sections 128 – 134 or 122 – 126, Lower Box Section 168, and Lower Reserve Sections 101 – 113 are also good choices. However, the Lower Reserve section gets a lot of sun, and you should avoid the top four rows which have compromised view lines.

For a bit better value, The Ultimate Baseball Road Trip recommends Sections 250 – 267 (except for the back rows).

If you are on a tight budget, Ballpark Savvy recommends the 300 level Mezzanine seats in right field. Progressive Field also has some location-specific, standing room only tickets available.

  • Ballpark Savvy recommends visiting Melt, in Section 113, for mouth-watering grilled cheese sandwiches. This was also the top pick for Ballpark E-Guides.
  • Ballpark E-Guides recommends topping the stadium’s signature Sugardale dog with Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard. Joe Bertman , a local business man and philanthropist, started the company in 1925. It is so popular that you can purchase the Cleveland Guardian Ballpark Mustard and bring it home to friends and family!
  • Among the more unusual offerings at Progressive Field is the Happy Dog hotdog topped with Fruit Loops. Actually, they offer about 50 choices of toppings, but the breakfast cereal is apparently a popular choice. You can find Happy Dog in the Infield District.
  • Baseball Road Trips and Ballpark E-Guides also recommend Barrio, in Section 109. This Cleveland tradition offers build-your-own tacos, beer, and tequila.
  • Local Ballpark Chasers fans on Facebook recommend looking into The Terrace Club . It is air conditioned and heated, and includes all you can eat. Reservations are open to the public. According to one Chaser, the cost is $35 per person from Friday to Sunday and $26.50 per person Monday through Thursday.

First Time Visitors:

The Guardians allow fans to order a first-time certificate online or in person. To get the in person certificate, visit Fan Services in Section 153 or Section 550.

Autographs:

Autographs are prohibited at Progressive Field. However, one Ballpark Chaser recommends trying the players’ parking lot at the corner of Carnegie and East 9 th .

Other Stadium Tips & Highlights:

According to one Ballpark Chaser on Facebook, Block C in left field is a great photo opportunity.

They also recommend going to the right field foul pole area to get in line for a field view from the old bullpen during an inning. Near the bullpen is an usher with a roped line. The usher lets a new group in every half-inning, and it is free to anyone in attendance for the game.

The same local Ballpark Chaser on Facebook said not to miss the hot dog race in during the 5 th inning.

Designated drivers can register with the MLB Ballpark app. There is no mention of a benefit associated with doing so, other than safety, of course!

Heritage Park, located in the center field area, celebrates the club’s history.

The Cleveland Guardians’ retired numbers are displayed over right field. They include:

  • 3 – Earl Averill
  • 5 – Lou Boudreau
  • 14 – Larry Doby
  • 18 – Mel Harder
  • 19 – Bob Feller
  • 20 – Frank Robinson
  • 21 – Bob Lemon
  • 25 – Jim Thome

While we won’t have a lot of time for sightseeing, given the nature of our chase, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is one of the nation’s great museums. If you are looking for restaurants, try Little Italy or Panini’s on East 9 th .

Upper Deck Golf set for Progressive Field

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Progressive Field is scheduled to host Upper Deck Golf for three days in September.

The event is slated for Friday, Sept. 6, to Sunday Sept. 8.

Fans will have a chance to play a round of golf throughout the ballpark. Custom greens will be laid out on the field, and there will be golfing challenges at a clubhouse bar and festival area in the park.

The company, which tours stadiums, says the nine-hole course will take about 90 minutes to complete.

Tee-time registration opens in July, but fans can go to upperdeckgolfing.com for early access. Tee times will begin at 7 a.m. each day in two-player increments. VIP tee times will include a premium experience that includes free entry into driving, chipping and putting challenges, along with complimentary food and beverage.

It’s not the first time the ballpark hosted a golf event. Topgolf Live stadium tour, with interactive targets and ball tracking, was held in 2021.

Progressive Field improvements include new menu, open spaces

Apr. 4—Construction on Progressive Field began the day after the 2023 season ended for the Guardians, and on April 4, just four days before the 2024 home opener, club officials conducted a tour to show off the improvements.

The project is being billed as "Progressive Field reimagined." The improvements include open-air Terrace Garden space in left field and an open patio-style seating and drink areas for standing room only customers.

And, of course, there are new food items. No new season can be complete without an expanded menu. A Cuban Dog, which consists of a pickle topped with diced ham and pulled pork, is one of the new items. Crispy mozzarella sticks, chicken bacon ranch fries and pulled pork sliders are among other new choices.

Here is a look at the new food available this season at Progressive Field @CleGuardians pic.twitter.com/urPEuGG7cT

— Jeff Schudel (@jsproinsider) April 4, 2024

Part of the lower bowl has been replaced with new blue seats.

"We've removed four sections from left field in the upper deck," explained Curtis Danburg, vice president of communications and community impact for the Guardians. "Since we opened in 1994, we never really addressed the upper deck in any way. This is the first time we were able to do that."

Fans will notice the boxy shipping container-like structures are gone from right field. The changes give Progressive Field a more wide-open look. The area that was cluttered by the shipping containers is now named the Paul Davis Pennant District.

Though some seats have been removed, the capacity of Progressive Field remains 34,380.

"We did a couple things," Danburg said. "Seats that we removed were put back in. Adding to the standing room only space left capacity pretty much flat."

The Guardians last year came up with the unique idea of selling monthly standing room only passes for $49 apiece. The pass entitles a fan to attend every home game in a particular month. The plan was so well-received that they are doing it again for 2024. The home opener April 8 against the White Sox would be included in the April pass. Actual seating for the home opener is sold out.

"(Standing room) flexes based on the time of year, but it's in the thousands," Danburg said. "We have the ability this year to increase the ballpark passes (the standing room only passes)."

Attendance at Progressive Field in 2023 increased by 41 percent from 2022, even though the baseball team did not perform as well as it did in 2023. Danburg said the addition of the SRO ticket plan was a major reason for the increase. The Guardians were 92-70 in 2022. They were 76-86 last year.

Construction will resume on more improvements after the final out of 2024, Danburg said.

  • What To Eat At Progressive Field

Progressive Field has a variety of standard and unusual items, including a hot dog topped with cereal.

Although there are a ton of sports bar-type establishments in the blocks surrounding Progressive Field, make sure you take your appetite through the stadium’s gates. Sure, stadium food is overpriced, but part of the experience of visiting a new park is trying to local fare, and you won’t be disappointed in Cleveland. Progressive Field’s concessions are diverse, ranging from standard stadium staples to stuff you’ll be glad you came across. Progressive Field’s upper level has standard concession stands located throughout, but for the park’s best food, you’ll need to tour the 100 Level.

Your first mission is to hit the Food Network cart, which is located behind Section 172, down the third base line. The closest gates to this popular concession stand are Gate A and Gate B, if you really want to get there quickly. The Food Network cart’s menu varies, but always offers such delicious items as the Red, White and Blue Steak Sandwich, which is a generous-sized piece of steak topped with blue cheese, sweet and spicy mayo and accompanied with potato sticks. Or, try the Cleveland Steak Sandwich, which includes sauerkraut, Cleveland’s famed Bertman Ball Park Mustard and served with potato sticks. Other menu items are the bacon-wrapped knockwurst on a pretzel roll or the buffalo mac and cheese. Regardless of what you pick, you can’t go wrong. The food here is a tad more expensive than at other concessions, but it’s prepared carefully and tastes delicious. Be warned that because of the cart’s popularity, lines are often long and items can sell out during the game.

One of the coolest places to be is the Ridgid Jobsite Bar, which you’ll see quickly if you enter Progressive Field through Gate C. Not only does this area have a great atmosphere, the bar is one of the park’s signature areas. Food-wise, the menu is limited to peanuts and jerky, but the beverage selection is unparalleled. Adult drinks include Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite and Labatt Blue Light, Amstel Light, Blue Moon, Corona, Great Lakes Dortmunder, Foster’s, Great Lakes Burning River, Guinness, Heineken, Leinenkugel, Sam Adams and more. If beer isn’t your thing, this area also sells wine and an extensive array of mixed drinks. If you can secure a spot at the bar, you might be tempted to stay there for a few innings.

Another must-try stand is Burgers Loaded, found behind Section 107 in right-center. This stand sells a pretty standard list of burgers, cheeseburgers, grilled or fried chicken sandwiches and even a veggie sandwich, but the list of available toppings is outstanding. There are too many to list here, but some highlights include bacon, blue cheese, hot peppers, coleslaw, chili and a ton of different cheeses.

Similar to Burgers Loaded is Hot Dog Plus. As its name indicates, this concession stand sells hot dogs with a twist. This stand sells foot-long and veggie dogs with a similar list of available toppings as at Burgers Loaded. So, if your taste buds are begging for a foot-long dog covered in sauerkraut, pizza sauce, hot peppers and cheese, you’ve come to the right place.

If chicken wings are something you enjoy, be sure to stop by Cleats, which is behind Section 164, right behind the Indians third base dugout. Wings are sold in five- or 10-piece orders, and you can choose between such flavors as BBQ, Buffalo and Kentucky Bourbon. Cleats also sells burgers and chicken sandwiches.

The Grab N Go stands, which are located behind sections 116, 162 and 550, sell a wide range of items that are a welcome reprieve from hot dogs and popcorn. The food here isn’t exotic, but it’s tasty and typically well priced. Items range from healthy (wraps, yogurt, fruit cups, salads and veggie trays) to perfect for the young and young at heart (candy, chocolate bars, jerky, fruit smoothies, string cheese, peanut butter and cheese sandwiches, trail mix and even gummy bears).

The Hall of Fame Market in the pavilion beyond center field is a good place to go if you want to enjoy a bit of open space. The menu here is pretty standard, but there are a number of tables you can use if you’d rather not carry your meal back to your seat. This area also includes the Market Pavilion, which sells noteworthy items including pulled pork nachos, pizza and super nachos.

Pizza is the central item of Major League Pizza behind Section 154 (home plate) and Section 554. Here, you can buy a whole pizza or pizza by the slice in such varieties as cheese, pepperoni, sausage or pepperoni and sausage.

The Miller Lite Corner Bar is a popular spot for people seated in the left field bleachers and down the third base line, as well as those enjoying the Toyota Home Run Porch in the left field corner. In addition to having a wide selection of Miller and Leinenkugal beer, this stand also sells hot dogs, bratwursts, Italian sausages and veggie sausages with a variety of toppings.

Nachos are sold at a number of stands throughout the park, but the Nachos stand specializes in this south-of-the-border specialty. Located behind sections 121, 154, 163 and 500, this stand features super nachos (cheese, jalapenos and salsa) and even a taco salad, piled high with chili, salsa, sour cream, cheese and jalapenos.

A number of concessions sell French fries, but if specialty potato products are appealing to you, check out Spuds and Suds, located behind Section 163. In addition to a number of diet-specific items (gluten-free hot dogs, vegan dogs and tofurky Italian sausages), this stand features potato wedges, fries, chili cheese fries and the twisted potato.

Want to stick with something safe? Progressive Field features a Subway location behind Section 148 on the first base side. The menu at this Subway is notably extensive, and you can choose from more than 10 different subs, plus the usual sides of cookies, apple slices and more. Just don’t expect to pay standard Subway prices here.

The Appetizer Store is more than a catchy name. Located behind Section 154 (home plate), this concession stand sells a list of items that don’t really fit into any other category. This mixed bag menu includes several glorious fried items (Twinkies and cookie dough), funnel cake, corn dogs, fish sandwiches, chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp and even a chicken and waffle sandwich.

Standard stadium food, including hot dogs, popcorn, burgers, soft drinks and the like can be found easily throughout Progressive Field. Virtually anywhere you’re standing or sitting, you can see a concession stand to pick up any of these items.

If your seat is in the 500 Level and you don’t feel like venturing down to the 100s for your grub, you’ve still got a number of decent options. The energy bar, located near Section 546, sells several varieties of jerky. Otherwise, the 500 Level is full of concessions that sell standard stadium food.

Fans who have a sweet tooth will want to check out a number of stands, including Cleveland Pops behind Section 175 in the right field corner. The menu here includes a variety of soft drinks, candy, snow cones and slushies. The park’s Dippin’ Dots stand is found behind Section 173. For more traditional ice cream, be sure to check out Pierre’s Ice Cream, found behind sections 148, 342 and 552. Here, the menu includes several flavors of ice cream cones, cups and helmets, sundaes with whipped cream, cherries and chocolate or caramel sauce and even root beer floats. Strickland’s Frozen Custard is a fan favorite, and with three 100 Level locations (129, 152 and 158), you’re never too far from one. The menu here includes several varieties of ice cream and frozen custard, as well as slushies and soft drinks.

If you’re lucky enough to have club seats to the game, the Club Level is home to a number of quality eats, too. The Carvery/Pasta Station is a hit with any beef or pasta lover. You can find chicken sandwiches, jumbo hot dogs and even fish sandwiches at the Ballpark Grill. Much of the menu on the Club Level changes, so you never know what treats you’ll get to taste.

Like many MLB parks, Progressive Field has a designated driver booth that you can use if you’re thirsty. Sponsored by Budweiser, you’ll see one of these booths on each level. All you have to do is sign a form saying you’ll be the designated driver for your group (even if you’re visiting alone or your group isn’t drinking) and you’ll get a voucher for a free soft drink, which you can redeem at any concession stand.

The beer selection at Progressive Field is absolutely outstanding. Whether you want to stick with a tried and tested classic or sample a lesser-known product, you’re almost guaranteed to be satisfied. Budweiser and Bud Light are the most common beers at Progressive Field, and are sold at numerous stands on each level. Leinenkugel’s is located behind Section 108 in right field and Section 157 behind home plate. Be sure to try the Summer Shandy or Sunset Wheat. For a wide selection of beer and wine, visit the Spirits of Ohio stand behind home plate. This stand’s beer list numbers roughly 20 choices, including a number of small, local breweries, and you can also buy a number of kinds of wine. The Your Dad’s Beer stand, found behind Section 119, also carries and lengthy list of beverages, including Miller Genuine Draft, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Rolling Rock, Stroh’s and more, plus snacks like pork rinds and beer nuts. The Indians have created headlines going into the 2013 season by drastically slashing beer prices at Progressive Field. In 2012, the average cost of a regular beer was more than $6, but in 2013, expect to pay just $4 for a brew while you watch the Indians.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 'Super Adorable' as They Attend Patrick Mahomes' Charity Gala in Las Vegas

The couple attended the gala together in Las Vegas on April 27

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are showing up to support Patrick Mahomes ’ charity.

The couple made an appearance at The 15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic gala in Las Vegas on April 27, joining Patrick, 28, and his wife Brittany Mahomes for the event along with guests.

Swift and Kelce, both 34, were described as “super adorable” and “down to earth and kind” in the caption of a video taken by an attendee at the event that was shared on X (formerly Twitter) of the pair holding hands on arrival at the gala as they made their way to their table.

"NBD. Just T Swift and her man Travis Kelce," the attendee wrote over the video of the couple, adding, "And they are super adorable together. So down to earth & kind.... Just super cool badass human beings."

HBDM77 / SplashNews.com

At the event, Swift also took a selfie with auctioneer Harry Santa-Olalla who appeared to host the auction portion of the gala on Saturday evening, which saw a surprise item up for grabs.

In a video posted from the gala on his Instagram Stories, Santa-Olalla wrote in the caption that Kelce had “convinced” Swift to put four tickets for her Eras Tour up for auction.

In Santa-Olalla's clip, and in another of the same moment shared by a fan on TikTok , the NFL star appeared onstage with him, and referred to Swift as his “significant other” as he revealed to guests the singer’s surprise contribution to the auction.

“I was just talking to my significant other and uh,” he said as the room cheered. “We might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket — has anyone heard of the Eras Tour?” More cheers were then heard from guests in response.

Swift was seen in another video posted on X waving what appeared to be a red napkin along with other guests, as she sat beside Patrick and Brittany ahead of the tickets being auctioned off.

The camera then panned across the room over to where Kelce stood as Santa-Olalla said to him, "Who would actually pay hundreds of thousands just to know Taylor Swift is actually cheering you on as you're winning 4 of her tickets — this is insane! Let's go!"

Kelce, who waved what appeared to be a yellow napkin, laughed in response along with the guests as Santa-Olalla walked to the far side of the room and began the auction. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end could be heard shouting after, “Let’s go baby!”

Never miss a story — sign up for  PEOPLE's free daily newsletter  to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human-interest stories. Santa-Olalla revealed in the caption of his Instagram post about the auction that Swift’s tour tickets ended up being sold for an “incredible” $80,000.

Swift — who released her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19 — and Kelce’s appearance at the gala comes after the pair had another double date with the Mahomes' at Easy's Cocktail Lounge inside the ARIA Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on April 26.

They also recently embarked on a getaway together with Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Gigi Hadid at Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, as shared by Kelce’s mother Donna .

Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
