If you're a city dweller with a yearning for experiencing simple village life, this is the place for you. manoj-namrata have lovingly created this place where they take you through various experiences like farm life, milking a cow, trek to nature, animal fair and more...situated in rajouri village in junnar just off the beautiful mumbai-nagar highway, the region is very green, with ample water bodies especially in monsoons. The smiling help- ketan will take you to all the interesting places around like the natural bridge, forest and animal fair. Rooms are clean, with fan, uninterrupted power and hot water. No TV, AC or room service. Food is tasty with all local ingredients and flavours.

• Cleanliness

Parashar provides all or at least, most of what one would expect of "Agritourism". Its a simple, clean, green place that takes you away from the humdrum of city life, back to the 'roots'. Its highly recommended for the overall experience (specially during the monsoon) - whether it is the tractor ride to the nearby lakes, or the forest walk, the walk through the nearby farms or the simple homely food cooked and served by local village folks. We visited Parashar on the long weekend of Aug 13 to Aug 15 (2 nights, 3 days). The weather was pleasant (we didn't need to use the fan at all) and the fresh air very refreshing. The thatched huts are a good change from the usual high-end cottages in luxury resorts. The bathroom was absolutely basic (the flush had a leak). The only issue was the light smell associated with dampness; and the noise from the neighboring huts. One can hear everything that's being said in the adjoining hut. So one needs to hope that the neighbors are not a noisy lot. The food is served in the common hall in desi sit-down style. Simple, Maharashtrian fare. While the food was good, a little bit of variety would have helped. For instance, there was misal pav for breakfast on Sunday and sabudana khichdi on Monday. In case you are not fond of it, tough luck ! Anyway, those can be said to be minor glitches on an otherwise refreshing experience. The other difference from the usual weekend breaks is the involvement of the owner Manoj Hadwale. He is genuinely interested in giving the visitors a happy experience. He called us thrice while we were on the way to the resort, to check on where we had reached and if we needed any assistance about the route. Even during the stay, he accompanies the guests on the visits to the nearby places. A son-of-the-soil, his dream of putting Junnar on the tourist map is praiseworthy. Overall, a must-do for those who want a flavor of rural life away from all the modern gadgets.

• Sleep Quality

A must visit place for the people interested in getting rid of day to day hectic life and need a space for fresh air, away for luxury lifestyle. Few good points are 1. Food served is kind of homemade, delicious, served with human touch 2. Simple rooms ( no TV, no AC), completely natural. Must say, quite comfortable and neat 3. Tracking, nature walk, visiting to farms - best things to do 4. Cultural activity, is good fun of traditional music 5. Overall, a very good break to relax. 6. In rainy days, it is simply superb A very interesting and relaxing place.

We ( a group of 6 adults and 2 kids) stayed at Parashar on 10th and 11 th June 2016. We were provided with 3 huts. Very neat and clean accomodation. It was a great experience at Parashar. Food was simple and tasty, traditional maharashtrian veg food. The service was also excellent. We look forward to come back again during monsoon for a unique experience with our guests. Manoj is a great host, and we really appreciate all his efforts to promote agro tourism at Junnar.

Parashar Agritourism is a home away from home. My friend and I stayed there for 1 day and 1 night. We were given a traditional Maharashtrian welcome followed by a simple, yet delicious breakfast. The owners, Manoj and Namrata, were truly hospitable and they took extra care to ensure that we could see as much as possible in the short period of time. Manoj, with his immense knowledge about Junnar and Namrata, with her great artistic abilities have transformed the place into a beautiful destination for a peaceful getaway. The rooms are large, airy and clean. The food is traditional and delicious. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway and want to experience village life, this is the place. It is aptly called the "Sanatorium of India". The village boasts of stationing Giant Metrewave radio Telescope (GMRT). The pollution level is almost nil as no industries are allowed in the area. Also, make sure you lie down under the clear night sky, which is a dream in urban areas. The sheer beauty of it is overwhelming.
